Sleep well, Betty. Hope pain is gone tomorrow.

I'm listening to Chris Isaak on Youtube. Someone hit me with a bucket of ice water, please.

hugs, katie

Thank you on the Shannon comments. She does look some like me, but is almost identical to
Pauls two sisters. When I look back, see how far she has come...although there are still some struggles. I try very hard to count the blessings as she really shouldn't be here. She had such
low odds of beating the cancer at age 3. BUT...thankfully she is pretty stubborn! That...she might get from me! O:)

Betty rest up....its going around and stress makes it worse.

Katie, I am with you on Chris Isaak and music. OMGosh!!!

Dianne, we have some nasty winds over here....I hope it doesn't cross the lake.

Need to get to bed. Sweet dreams all......

Is today the "DAY" Mary? Wishing you so much success.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

So much happening in here ..

Debbie, Shannon is obviously a gift destined for great things ..
Her eye colour is just amazing!

Betty, sounds to me like a flu bug/strep throat .. I hope you stay home and IN BED, and do nothing bt get better'
Jim had better prepare for some physically (and emotionally) challenging days to come .. my thoughts are with him and your Mom, and, of course you as well.

Mary .. IS today the day? If it is, all the best, if it isn't, then, all the best when it is.

Off to the city early with DH, he has a docs appt, just routine .. then we have some stuff to pick up from the Symphony office, we support them and have ordered some 'stuff' .. danged if I can remember what it is LoL
We'll likely 'do lunch' .
DGD 'broke up' with her boyfriend last night (YAY), course she's heart broken, first love, young love .. simply silly to me at 15 ! Probably be BACK together by the weekend ..

I best get a move on, I look like the wicked witch of the west, washed my hair last night and went to bed with it semi damp !!!!

Morning

feeling better this morning, bit feverish but at least I can swallow..
neocitrin and honey/cold fx and bed at 5:20 did the trick

did come in this morning..bit of drama here with Suzanne and her family so thought I best be here to support her.

If later I'm not feeling up to par I shall leave.

Off tomorrow and have weekend to heal and thought with Dr.'s appt Thursday afternoon I'd best be here.

stopped at Walmart, bought McCalls quick quilts for something to read, so wanted to have Braedon's top quilt done by today so I could get it on the frame but it will wait, tomorrow's another day.

Let's hope the electrical got passed and Mary's new adventure begins..wish I was there for the celebrations

"M" wanted to show you the Mr./Mrs. Santa outfits I did for Suzanne and Lenny a few years ago

Melanie and Rita asked if I'd be up to going to Markham for the big craft show Saturday, likely if my fever is gone, hate to pass it around.

enjoy your outing.

Morning everyone! Betty, sorry to hear you were so sick last night. Hope it all clears up soon!

Betty, I looked up prices from Buffalo, NY. To my zip and this is the price I got for shipping for a 18x13x3, 3 pound package. Much cheaper this way. Especially if you can print online postage.
Post Office Price: $14.05
Online Price: $11.16

Good morning everyone,

Good news about the twins. Not so good about Betty's pain. Knock it off, Betty.

My ankle is much better. I woke up this morning in time to see a beautiful sunrise come up from behind the Sea of Cortez. (My house is kind of rustic but my views are to die for.) Tony was already here.

My ankle is still swollen and I appreciate the reminders to continue to take it easy on it.

We are enjoying our fall weather, especially after our long hot summer.

hugs, katie

Hugs Katie,

Wish I was there to watch your sunrise!

Ok will knock it off, promise only if you promise to to behave and rest.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope your feeling better soon Betty.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Katie - hope your ankle feels better soon.. I can only imagine what it must be like, to be on your own, and hurting so you can't walk..... Bless Tony for being there for you!

Betty - LISTEN to us.. you don't take care of yourself enuff..... getting in jamies and going to bed early notwithstanding!

Betty - pics of Addy/Alex are so sweet - the twins are so frail looking, but glad to know they're doing better. Prayers for Jim...

Shannon's a beauty!

Hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner!
Is there a thread that gives lists of everyone's preferences for the Santa Warren Christmas Exchange?

Baton Rouge, LA

Latest timeline (still a work of fiction)

11/16 get work done on equipment
11/19 perhaps health inspection
11/20 plan b on health inspection
11/21 and 11/22 training
11/23 stocking
11/24 friends and family
11/25 quiet open to public

STILL a work in progress so the above NOT set in stone... I'm learning that it doesn't always happen as planned.
(HUGS) Barb, Betty, Dianne, etc those pulling for us .....

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ok - what did I miss? Mary - what's with the timeline?????

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Looks like her scheduled plan for getting the shop open.

Morning everyone.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning

In my Jammie's still fighting this cold/flu
I will do a little here and there just to fill in my day..must have winter tires put on at 3:30 so will have to get dressed at some point.

That's quite the schedule Mary..here is hoping all will go according to Hoyle.
You will need a vacation once the shop opens

LindaKay, what size twister do you need, will include it in your snowman kit?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

For the 5 inch blocks. Thanks Betty.
Did you go to the Dr.?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Go on Thursday
I'll go look downstairs..am sure I've some in stock and will include
Going to add that to the packing list..if I mail next sat will that be too late because I could put in the mail tomorrow, I wouldn't mind doing that

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Best of luck Mary .. fingers crossed and hopes up for you ..

Betty, all I can do is hope that you feel well enough to go out for the tire thing .. rest is really the best way to fight the flu ..

Have someone coming to look at Lorna's car that has been up for sale for over 6 weeks, hopefully he WILL show up, and WILL make an offer .. hope is a wonderful thing ^_^

Super sunny and kinda mild here .. 33F, NO WIND !!!
Sorta stuck here til this fella appears ..

Take care

Marked my calendar May - in pencil!!! There is always something to slow down the best made plans.

Went to Brandon's band concert last night. It was done as a Montage. Each number featured a different part of the band with several individual solos. These kids are sooo good and they don't get a chance to shine individually or as a group of sections of the band ( think one of brass, one of reeds, one of percussion, etc.) This concert was just to show them off and I think it was a wonderful idea. Now that we have moved, it is an hour's drive to get there and then another home after. I'm so tired today!!! I'm just not used to the nightlife anymore LOL>>>> Was sure worth it though.

Quilting my table toppers today (I hope)

Victoria Harbour, ON

41 here, tomorrow high of 50 and Sunday 55
Cooperating for Sunday, I'll be able to get all the Christmas lights hung outside and plugged into music soupy stem so they flash with the music, neighbors love me. Lol

"m" here is hoping that you sell the vehicle today, one less thing for Lorna to worry about.

Called mom last night, she said the pain meds for Jim were doing nothing to ease his pain..now it's waiting for the scheduled tests

Got to get out "M". Waited 3 weeks for appt. to have them changed
Rita couldn't get appt for 2 more weeks and the snow isn't gong to wait for me.
Will be a quick ride nto town and back

Had about 1/2 hr on two tote bags, one for Sharon for Xmas and one for Lorraine for her 65th tomorrow, got that done

Rita fixed me egg omelette, insisted I eat..too delicious

Victoria Harbour, ON

What did you schedule in May Barb??

You are close to finishing the table toppers right? Is it the binding that remains?
So glad that you got to go see Brandon, I'm sure you made his day. Long drive though..does Norm ot mnd driving in the dark..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty no hurry on the shipping.
Barb so glad to hear of their concert. Sounds like it was pretty nice!

Victoria Harbour, ON

On with mom, trying to calm her down, she and Sharon had an all l and out fight now I've been listening for an hour trying to talk softly to calm her down..blessing that I can keep my wits about me..

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Hope all works out with your Mom and Sharon Betty. Sometimes these confrontations either 'clear the air', OR, can make 'things' a bit worse, here's hoping for the former.
How are you feeling?

I am FURIOUS righ now !! Had a fellow call this morning at 8am re Lorna's Chev she has for sale.
He said that he would get back to her in 2 hours re coming to see it .. well .. 4 hours later we HAD to go to town to get some stuff sone. She called him, message said his 'mailbox was full'.
So, we left and went to the city for 90 minutes. Came home, someone has obviously been here and 'peeled out ' of the driveway.
No messages on either our cells or the home phone, and now LORNA feels bad .. NO WAY should she feel bad, the guy had ample opportunity to call us and let us know what he was doing !! Very frustrating !
ONE extraordinarily awesome thing is our weather! Sunny and 45F right now .. how amazing is that .. bought some doo dads for the Xmas tree and now have no desire to decorate it at all LoL

Take care all

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Betty...yikes. So hard to deal with. Especially when you don't feel that great yourself!

Well, all that talk about liver and onions got to me so I thawed some and told Bill it was for supper tonight. He then mentioned it to his brother who is visiting from Florida...yummmm says brother, so now I'm fixing liver and onions for Bill, Mike, Elsie (Bill's step mom) and me. Okay, company coming have to have more than just liver and onions. So I made a 7 layer salad, made up a new mac and cheese recipe (they'll be the guinea pigs and LIKE it!!), rolls and ice cream pie for dessert. Now I have to clean the house....sigh... I don't even know what time dinner will be, cause they just left to go visit their aunt about 40 minutes away. Bill said, hopefully by 6:00. We'll see.

So sweet that the twins are 4 months. It's hard to see little Addy looking so sick. Not sure why, but Addy's picture was nice and big, but Alex's wouldn't get big, just stayed little, so I couldn't really get a good look at him. I did see that he was breathing on his own though. That's a blessing. I was really sorry to hear about Addy not wanting to be touched. Gosh all you'd want to do would be to comfort that little one and she hates it. Awwww.... :o(

I'm sure Jim will keep his chin up. After all he's been living with your Mom for a long time now...

I hope you're feeling better, Betty. Don't overdo tomorrow if you go to Meaford or where ever!

Cabbage rolls sound good. Saturday there is a bazaar and cabbage roll dinner at the catholic church. Sherry, Kathy and I are going to go. Bill made last minute plans to have a wienie roast cause his brother wants one, but I made my plans first, so hopefully they won't need me to do anything but show up and eat!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Thanks re Jim and Mom , he has been my stepfather for 42 years, LNG time for sure..trying not to get involved in the trauma, want to say 'go away' but not

Did go get my sow tires on, let it snow, let it snow! NOT really, but I'm ready

Throat is sore so bought more neocitrin and honey, will baby myself tonight..Rira left for her daipughters so I'm a lonely petunia again this weekend. She will call early tomorrow morning if she decides to head to Markham for the show.

Scalloped potatoes/cabbage rolls and peas will be my supper then off to bed.

"M" drats, did you leave a message on the door or car explaining? No need to dig up the drive.

Joyce, he who plans first should always win..lol
Kind of cold for a weenie roast isn't it? Perhaps not if you have a roaring fire going..guess it being in the 50,s here it wouldn't be so bad

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

That's what makes it fun.! Everyone gathering around the fire to keep warm and toast their marshmallows and hot dogs! We've had this thing when it's snowing, raining and too warm to stand next to the fire! Always a fun time anyhoo!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Been ions since we've had one!
Oooh think we had marshmallows when the gathering was here, no? Perhaps after the pit was purified for Judy's prayer circle she wold have been shaking her finger telling us no.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

YIKES, twice today I have had to SIGN IN to Daves. Good thing I can remember both my sign in name and PASSWORD!!!

We have a stone fireplace and a firepit .. am thinking when the kids are here tomorrow we might just fire up the pit.

Betty, had the guy shown up there is a sign in the front window of Lorna's car with her cell # on it, and, we both had our cells on.
VERY frustrating ! Our faith in human kind is failing !!!

Pizza in the oven, watching more 'gobblety goop' about ROb FOrd on TV ..

Huggin y'all

I didn't get either of the 2 jobs I was being considered for....
'nuff said

mulege, Mexico

Soo sorry, Susan. big hugs, katie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Can't imagine how very disappointed you must be Susan..
Big sigh

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So sorry Susan.

Morning everyone.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm sorry Susan. Hopefully the next one.....I'm saying prayers for you.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Jeepers Susan .. big hugs, and, like Barb has said, perhaps the next job offer willl be THE ONE!

Woke up to sun, by the time I had looked after the dogs and cat and made a cuppa, it was dull and dreary looking, but, mild temps .. to us 37F is mild, and, it MAY go up into the 40s.
Not sure if the kids will be coming over today, Austin had a sleepover, and Brooklyn is still in mourning over her first 'lost love' .. but, I do think Lorna and I will take a trip to the dump (landfill site) I like to 'sneak' DHs junk away a bit at a time, he hasn't noticed over the past year or so, so I'm happy, and the garage is looking a bit more spacious.

Haven't seen Dianne post in a bit, hope all went well with the dentist.

Best go and toss some clothes in the dryer ..

Have yourselves a great weekend

~M~
