LK please let your neighbor know that we are praying for her and her family.
Our daughter just walked in for a visit. See you in morning!!!
I sure will Barb.
Morning everyone. Hope you all have a wonderl day.
Very cool here last night. It's still only 56° right now. I don't think it will get out of the 70s today. Humidity is waaay down. It feels glorious.
Got to go help the hubbs. Hope you all have a good weekend.
I'm up now sis, don't know whether I'd be up much longer.
Thanks Barb and LK.
Thanks Sue. Murdock appreciate all the good vibes and prayers sent.
Just to say my back's still not cooperating.
Took 2 Lamalin yesterday, woke up at 11 pm and had to take another one. This morning I decide to move around in the garden, bad mistake. Right foot got stuck in some weedy vine and almost lose my balance.
Gonna tape all football matches just in case my eyes can't stay open.
Oh.. Carole, have I said I love that profile pic?
Don't think I'll be doing much shopping for candles, may just order online.
Take care sistahs. I'm not superstitous, but it was a horrid Friday 13th for me. Praise God for chemicals.. I'm out of JD!
Hope your feeling better soon Jaye. Get some rest and stay out of the garden.
Thanks. After looking to see what I could find around here in the way of candles, nothing suited me so I ordered online as well. Gosh, I hope that back gets well pronto. Ugh!
Oh so sorry Jaye, Hoping for relief for you, if it means staying down today then you must.
Better a bit for me today, not good, never goes away but I can try to ignore as much as possible.
Think I'll try to finish the bird houses today. Everything is cut just need to sit & sew & press, takes a lot of pressing. I believe I have all the addys so I can address the envelopes too. That is after another quick check to make sure of addys.
Dodged the bullet on the frost last night, so tender plants can go back out. Forecast is for a bit warmer for several days now.
Got the canaries nails trimmed and hubby gave Molly her bath so pets are set for a bit.
DGD posted this morning that Ducky, Brody's kitty was trying to get in the shower. Silly thing gets baths often so Brody's allergies stay under control. He actually loves the water. He's part Siamese all white except for orange ears and tail, and the most amazing blue eyes.
He sounds beautiful! Funny kitty - in the shower. :-D)))
This was this morning, he's been known to jump right in. This doesn't show his beautiful eyes, but it does show his unusual color. The orange has a lightly striped pattern. I'm guessing one parent Siamese and the other a tiger stripe. Not knowing as he was tossed out of a moving car in front of their house on Brody's 4th birthday so He just figured it was his present.
Oh Marion spoiling is our job.
Awe. Love that picture.
Thanks, they are a pair!!!
Spoil away. Those two look like they are having a ball.
Karen, he is very pretty from the back side. And clean too! :)
Morning everyone. Kathy that was a nice game even if Texas lost. We don't normally watch college football. But hubby turned it on for the last quarter.
Please tell me what that beautiful pink flower is? Love you kitty too.
Morning everyone. Jaye I hope your back is feeling better.
Hi Linda -
That's Celosia 'Intenz'. Thanks, that cat is our "baby". Well, the youngest of the three. :)
Someone is having a birthday? Well, Happy Birthday ... and many more! ^_^
Happy birthday Thunder.
Happy birthday Thunder! No sewing today.. just treat yourself to more fabric! I bet you get calls from Malena.
That cake sure looks good. Enough for second servings for us all! Thanks LK :D
Marion, thank you for sharing with us your night out at Carabba's. I'm seeing the pizza station in the background. Kel loves the pizzas there, and me, the calamari.
Get your own chocolate dessert Marion! Lol!!
Your 'girls' are so lucky to have you and Kim. Yes grandma spoiling should be all grandmas' job, but some aren't that way.
Karen, that cat with it's muted markings may be lumped into the "Diluted Calico" category. Not easy to find one like Ducky, and I wish ALL my cats like water.
Do hope you're not suffering too much today. How long does 'it' normally last?
Carole, I think I want some Celosia. Is it an annual?
Your baby looks like my oldest, beloved Rimau (Tiger). Since you can write so well, maybe you could write stories of your cats. We sure would be entertained.
It was a classic game yesterday. Sorry Sis Kathy.. Kel wanted Johnny Manziel to win, but it's his fault that his team lost. He's overconfident. I am glad that Saban got real upset when the WR made that money gesture. He's right, it's not Alabama to be tauting opponents. Congrats on the win.
I can't figure out how I hurt my back, and now I realised what had happened after my thighs and my calves start to hurt more today.
A few days ago, I had been doing 'squats', 9 repeats of 4, throughout the day. I think because I didn't try to hold on to a chair or the edge of the table, my back suffered.
Just a possibility.
The back pain is gone, now it's my butt, thighs and calves!! Lol!!!
One sistah called me up and asked whether my FIL was hurt when he 'fell'. I didn't follow up on his condition that night, for when Kel returned, he said that Murdock had only slid to the edge of the bed and MIL knew how to lie to rush Kel...
Sad ain't it? Sorry sistahs. It is so embarrassing to write of things like that, and yes, Kel should stand up for himself. He just can't.. and I accepted that.
A few minutes ago, MIL called him up forcing him to attend to his dad's feeding. She knows he needs his sleep before he starts night shift. She won't lift a finger, and since older brother's on strike.. again.. I told Kel he shouldn't be upset if he keeps allowing his mother to mistreat him.
He kept saying that if he won't do it, his father would suffer.
Please don't stop praying for Kel. He needs strength badly.
Sending lots of prayers and big ((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) for Kel!
So sorry he has to go through all this by himself!
Thank you so much LK. I wanted a gentle soul, and God gave me Kel.
So sad that Kel has to go through all this for his fathers sake. Bless him for doing so as his father would be suffering so much more if not for the loving care of Kel. Extra Hugs.
Jaye???? girl you don't know better than to do squats? Man I could do one, then I would need three to lift me back up again. Made that mistake at a garage sale once, instead of bending over, I squatted down to get a better look at a doll house. I knew as soon as I did it that I was in trouble. Me old knees locked right up and I was all done. Finally a very kind young couple came to my rescue.
My "it" has been going on for 5 years now getting steadily worse. I seem to be in a worsening state now. U of M didn't know what was going on, the next choice I had was Mayo Clinic. Some of the tests they did were horrid for me. I'm thinking by now if I went back to a Gastro Dr. they would want to start over and I just can't. I suppose at some point I will have to give in but not yet. Really can't afford it now anyhow.
JOHNNY WHO?
praying that kel get the strength to get threw this
happy bday thunder
Yes, Celosia is an annual in our zone. It's a tough plant. I love it. lol - I was thinking about an eBook about gardening with my cats. But I get interrupted so much so don't know if I'd ever be able to focus and concentrate long enough. Maybe some short pieces. Who knows? It could happen.
Kathy, you and Jaye are so funny. The Titans just lost in overtime. That's about all I know as far as football goes. I have a general idea about the other teams. I guess everyone is watching Manning vs. Manning right now. I'm not - obviously. :)
Gosh, Karen, I don't blame you. Medical "stuff" can be so frustrating, exhausting, expensive and unproductive sometimes. I hate that part of it. Take good care of yourself.
Oh Karen!! You're funny!!! Nah sistah, I couldn't squat lower than my hips!! I just bend my knees as far as I can tolerate! Had lost my balance twice before in the garden and had to drag myself by doing that 'butt scooting boogey" to the nearest garden chair.
Since then, I remember not to bend too low.
Lucky for you, there was help. I don't like to see my sistah suffer with 'it'. But then, I understand that $$$$ part.. it may even be in the tens of thousands if more tests are needed.
Carole, you got that right. It's halftime now, so I gave myself permission to take a break! Lolol! We know for sure Manning will win!!
Told Kel he's being well covered in prayers. He thank you and says he sure needs it. Instead of leaving at five, he had to leave earlier. So, hardly any sleep. But don't you worry sistahs. I have that five hour energy drink stocked for times like this. :(
Us wives always think of everything and yet DHs call us emotional!

Yes, I'd bet on Manning to win - for sure. ;-)
My oldest great grandson is named for Peyton Manning. They live in TN and Peyton was at UT when our Payton was born. Yup DGD changed spelling a bit. I think he and his brother both make great name sakes.
That's a great TN connection. I agree, both are great namesakes. :)
They are both great SEC quarterbacks!!! Go SEC!! Lol!!
There's a Vietnamese GF living in N.O. who named her son Peyton. She's hoping that he'd be the first Vietnamese American QB in when he grows up. Unfortunately, or fortunately, he's into science.
Wouldn't you know it!! I watered today and now it is raining. Go figure.
Kel is always in our prayers as are you Jaye.
You might say Catie-Beth loves her chocolate.....my GD for sure!!! :-)
Happy Birthday Thunder. Sorry this is so late but I made the day!!!! Hope it has been a great one for you.
Sending lots of prayers for Kel. And for you too Jaye....

When I don't get on DG I miss so much. Hope you had a nice birthday, Thunder!
Sending more Prayers for Kel and you Jaye, Kel is such a caring man to be there or his dad no matter what. Stay strong!!
We are suppose to have some cool weather this coming week. I certainly hope so. All my plants are suffering, No pretty flowers to talk about. My plumerias didn't even flower this year. My mini one was blooming when I bought it and think it is going to have blooms again. The sun sure does damage to the leaves.
Gooooooood morning sistahs!
I watered yesterday and the rains decided to head for Florida! Oh Marion, redirect them my way today please!
Just the hedys blooming here, Pegi. Got a couple mums putting out buds, am so excited. My first set. I so wanted to replace the plumerias, but I am putting a stop to 'overwinter' plants. Wish I'm in your zone. But then, I won't be able to grow colder zone plants! Lol!!!
Hey LK! Thanks for my swap buddy's name. I didn't expect such a V.I.P. Geesh.. how do I please that woman! Will try to do some sleuthing later.
Carole, do you grow any peonies? No luck here, a tad too warm I think. They are so beautiful. Tried growing Sarah Bernhardt twice!!
Barb, I am sure your daughter spoils you with her cooking.
Karen and Marion are fortunate to have daughters that can cook and they can just sit back and be pampered.
Sis Kathy, now you let Michael take care of those roofers.
Cookie, it's almost that time to put your pond and garden to 'sleep'. How many pond tours did you have this year?
Sue, how's your girls' night out? Did you dance on the table?
I found some incredible deals on seeds on Etsy.

Catch you all later. Off to the vet and get some lagniappe for the candle swap. Have a super Monday sistahs!
