I thought so

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I think that was a wonderful idea Kathy. Who says everyone else can't have pretties on my birthday. Kim is preparing dinner tonight....no, not going out. I have a craving for eggs, yellow grits, biscuits, sausage and corn syrup....so that is what it shall be. Just call me weird!!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Sounds good to me Marion.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

weird...but a lovable weird...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

That's me and I am just plan to old to change!!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I grew up in MI but my mom's family was from the south, I grew up on southern cooking and do a bit of it myself. Along with some German from hubby's grandma.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like a wonderful dinner.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

That actually is about all that appeals to me....this stupid sinus stuff has moved into my chest and I feel just lousy!! Seeing if that will tempt me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope your feeling better soon.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, I just remembered that I have a friend who celebrates her birthday on all other days except the actual day.
Her husband had a fatal stroke on her special day years ago.

I'll take grits with sausage gravy and crumbled bacon and 2 eggs sunny side up!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I like butter and a bit of sweetener on my grits, eggs over very easy.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Eggs over easy, grits with butter, crisp bacon, fresh tomatoes. Yum and thank you! :)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay, you came have all the butter you want but I do draw the line at sweetner. Sorry Karen.

No bacon but some local sausage with Golden Eagle syrup. That should sound familiar to Kathy. Eggs over easy and fresh tomatoes...absolutely. I enjoyed every bite!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

no grits fer me, thank you.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I made gumbo out of that golden eagle.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

LOL, was it a sticky mess?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning my sistahs!
Rise and shine and do enjoy your Southern breakfast.
No eagle gumbo here, I honor our American bird!

Off to get 3 rescues spayed. God is good. We've been paying $150 for a female and $30 less for a male, with our regular vet who so happened to be the cheapest at that time, and he's across the border.

Found another that's charging $45 for a female and $25 for the tom. Yep.. saving us big bucks there... even though he's an hour's drive away.
This vet's practice had inherited a very wealthy animal lover's assets. In her will, she stipulated that one must have a minimum of 3 to be desexed.
I just hope that this won't make Kel look for more strays!! Lol!!
We'll still use our regular vet's service for emergencies.

Have a fantastic day sistahs. Happy Birthday Marion!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Bless you both for taking care of all those kitties! HE has provided a way fir you to take care of them.
I would love to make you a birdhouse block Jaye.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

morning linda, please pass the coffee and jax"s bailys

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Coming your way.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

thanks, just finished covering the bird cages, what a nasty mess

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Marked out my front bed, yet again, and I now have someone who is busy as I type working on doing the edging with the huge pile of bricks that have been sitting for the past 3 years. Feels so good! Well a bit on the warm side.

More babies getting zippers today. The only way to go with kitties and puppies...IMHO.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning Ladies,

Kind of chilly this morning, brrrrrrr yesterday was nice didn't have to turn a/c on, Thank the Lord. Our eletric bill doubled in July when we had those 7 days of trips, not fun when I want to buy flowers to plant for fal, lol :(

I am going to make the 3rd leaf today, it is a BIG one too. But not the BIGGEST leaf, I told my neighbor she needs to make a bird bath with that one and I would help her. She was happy about that. But here are pictures of the two I have made. Next will be figuring out how to put it all together, lol. Sometimes I amaze myself, lol......The finished leaves ahve to be weather proofed and painted so....I poured patio paint in with the Thompson Weather sealer and weather proofed and painted at same time ^_^

1st two pics are of small leaf middle size leaf, and finished leaves

Am back! It was a nice cool, quiet drive! The kids behaved themselves rather well, surprisingly. Greeted by a very nice techie that I think Marion would say an "eye candy".
We were the first humans, then later in walk another and she's from another town too, that used to see our regular vet. Kel said he's not the only fool for taking in strays! Lol!
Off they go, just enough space in the cab for the carriers.
You can see the morning sunlight just started to stream in the vet's parlor.

We're picking up the kids later this afternoon. No overnight stay to keep the vet's cost down. They'd be sleeping through the the rest of the day anyway.

LK, we found out about this vet at the local grocery store. One customer saw the cans of cat food and asked whether we're feeding the neighbourhood!
Conversation ensued as to which vet in town is the cheapest, and she told of this Godly vet. Yes, He finds ways to help us!

Don't overdo yourself Marion.
At least you're not as stubborn as Sis Kathy there.

Jaye you just need one of the clever sistahs to visit and help you make one.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

How did you get the picture Jaye? i tried and tried But yes that is what i want to try and do. Doug looked at it and said no problem ^_^

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Triple digits......yikes it is suppose to be cooling off not getting hotter. I tried to work outside for awhile but can't stand it so back inside. The edging is looking really nice so far, just hoping I have enough bricks to do the entire bed!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Right click on the picture and save Cindy.

Karen, I have a church sistah that does that. Will just have to look for big leaves. My elephant ears are too small!

See that Kathy!! Marion's smart enough to know WHEN to quit!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)
