Owie Linda, I hate that seems to hurt all day.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends,new/old
I get those too Linda and they are not fun. I have been taking a magnesium tablet and that has helped. They don't seem as severe as before....
Gatorade, if you can stomach it, helps with leg cramps too, I take Magnesium as well. Nothing worse than waking up and having a stretch and all of a sudden POW, your calf turns into a rock, limp all day!
Cool morning, going into the city to buy some groceries .. have some apples to bake into a crisp, or something.
Susan .. that 'trainer' sounds like a bully !
Off to make a cuppa
Toodles
~M~
The trainer is 31 yo, and it went on for 3 days........ not that I was tired. He was just trying to "get my goat" and it worked. Now he'll find that I can beat him at his own game. I will refuse to talk to him when he's being like that. It isn't funny or nice, and I will not stoop to his level. I am 59, after all, and can "out professional-ize" him........
Another new employee, who is now his friend, was "buying into it" too - and the new fellow is 21.
The trainee was being rude and disrespectful. Guess u had to be there.........
just worried Susan that it's not seen as you melding in with the group and maybe being let go..trying to look after your best interest..know what staff disruptions due to not blending can mean. Am sure you are on top of it.
How are the twins doing Betty? Any updates?
We got a little more rain last night but the weather shown on the National Hurricane Center is clear.
I'm getting laundry, etc done and will probably leave mid-week.
Yesterday, for the first time in all the years that he has worked for me, I forgot to pay Tony and he had to ask me if I had his money. I was so embarrassed but we laughed about it. Goes to show how being without my meds can affect me.
There is a small problem with the van; mechanic is supposed to come tomorrow so we can be sure it's in good shape.
Susan, I know how badly you want and need a job, but are you sure this is a good fit for you? It's surely not worth the mental anguish to not be accorded the professional courtesy to which you are entitled. You have to be dreading each day, I know I would.
waiting for Ann to come home for update on twins
likely tonight or tomorrow
they are one week older, lordy must be 7 or 8 weeks old now
Several swaps are open, come and check them out!
Kathy has the candle swap open, come and check it out!

wow been quite a day...for someone who doesn't sew Linda sure put in a hard 11 hrs. I made a sandwhich and she went and got chips next door, ate while working lol
that woman never stops, lives on 4 or 5 hrs of sleep at best, she'll be tired tonight though..likely counting stitches instead of sheep.
she certainly was pleased with her day's work
got the queen size top done, had to watch what I said or she would have me quilting all night to finish it..kidding of course..
did say a few times, well we will call it a day but she just kept sewing lol
I had bought I think in June at a garage sale a sewing machine, turn out it sews like the best of machines..I paid $25 for it..bargoon for sure. Sure wish the lemon Husqvarna worked 1/4 as good.
I did manage to put a Christmas quilt on the frame, will give me something to do this week.
Holy doodle Betty, Linda did well !! Love the pics, and YES a bargain for sure re the Singer!
DH called about 5pm .. he won one of the fishing tournaments on the go .. small monetary prize, but, lots of other 'stuff'. A leather BassPro jacket, TShirt, cap, now he's just trying to figure out how he gets it across the border ..
Lorna spent a good almost 4 hours on cutting and trimming out the property, she looks like she struggles, but, sears she doesn't, she's got it down to a science.
I stayed in and baked a pie and futzed around with tidying this and that as best I could, since tomorrow is to be a HEAVY rain day I think we'll accomplish a lot more .. I get so exasperated re not being able to bend !!
Murray went 'solo' today, be still my heart .. he has always loved 'trucking', so being stuck in an office has not been much of a challenge for him, when this offer for work on his days off came up, he grabbed it .. have attached a pic. The fuel truck it huge, he re fuels the locomotives ..
Time to read the cat the RIOT act .. not that it'll do any good, another night of broken sleep.
Take care everyone, hope your upcoming week is wonderful ^_^

Good looking son "M". Laughing at timmies in his hand..I never see Jeff that he doesn't have one as well.
Gord would look obvious if he wore the jacket home? Maybe he should mail it to himself?
Read Missie riot act as well please, moved her off the fabric, scratched the heck out of my arm..bled like crazy
Great job on her first quilt Betty! She must be so proud of herself, and a big thanks to you for teaching her.
Betty, Karen - 1st of all, there isn't a problem with melding in with the rest of the group - they're professional. 2nd - my friend is the CEO's wife, and I know that he's heard good things about me from her when we worked together.
3rd - not swearing and using sexual innuendoes is not reason for dismissal. I refuse to do these, and the heavy-handed teasing....well that could sound like I can't take teasing and therefore unable to "blend" but when it's not paid attention to, then I feel it will "go away".
Yes, I want the job, and will do a darn good job at it!
and last but not least - the 4 of us are getting split up into 2 depts, so the male trainee won't be working with me more than the month of training. The trainer is in my dept either - so I can hold out on stupidity for a month. I'll just "out professional-ize" them, and rather than reacting, I will try to let it slid off my back and turn a deaf ear to it.
OK Susan, we'll take your word for it. Just know you can come in here and vent if and when you feel the need.
I will, thank you Karen.
Now, I'd best get back to the embroidery I'm doing for the Round Robin quilt...
oh, and Karen - thanks again for the Big Book of Embroidery! I use it....... and am using it now!!
You are most welcome, I'm so glad you are enjoying it.
Morning all, into the early morning wake up, drats it's annoying!
Haven't seen Mary about, praying its not because of bad news re her FIL.
Morning. Betty I sure hope you went back to sleep for a bit?
Frustrating wakening early like that Betty .. makes for a long day.
We have a weather alert here re heavy rainfall as well as thunderstorms/lightning .. not looking forward to that, but, it'll allow me to feel 'ok' doing IN house stuff.
Maybe Lake Superior will keep it away, but, I doubt it, radar maps look a bit dodgy.
Refilling the Hummingbird feeders probably for the last time today ... always a sad time when we notice they've left the area.
Best get a shuffle on
Have a great day everyone

She is so shaken up. Thanks for the prayers.
Thanks Barb!
Love those colors!
If it's for yourself Barb, I'd roll the edges. I think it looks softer and more feminine.

Absolutely gorgeous day here today - just my temp.
Dianne
Hello Hello Hello! Ack I haven't been on in forever, my storage unit flooded with the rains we had a few weeks ago and I about lost everything that Dave didn't get, so I've been shuffling through boxes and it turns out the boxes that got flooded had dishes in them and a bunch of my clothes got flooded but they were old and I wasn't going to wear them anymore anyway. I did lose my bedroom set dressers and night stands, and my king sized mattress, but the headboard, footboard, and box springs were fine. Joel had me try one of those memory foam mattresses when we went shopping for living room furniture and I broke down and bought one, I have never slept on anything so comfortable in my entire life!!
Me and Joel both got jobs!! We found out on the same day at almost the same time! LOL!!!
Betty looks like your getting stuff done, and your washroom is going to look so nice!
Marilynne I am so sorry about your loss, she's way too young. Prayers are going out for the families. My goodness guess we never know.
Katie so glad that the hurricane fizzled!! GOOD LUCK with the hearing, it is easier sticking up for someone else than it is for yourself, but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Hi everyone!!!!!
Dianne, they are calling for high temps and humidity for tomorrow and Wednesday.
LK I'm sending prayers, I'm glad you're there with her.
whoa, lots happening ..
LK .. huge hugs for you for supporting your neighbour, I so hope Daisy will be alright
Barb .. L O V E your colour selection! Can hardly wait to see it done ^_^
Crissy .. Lordie .. I sure hope some of your belongings were covered by insurance? Have seen the commercials and always wondered if it was comfortable.
CONGRATS on the jobs !!!
Betty and Dianne.. Lorna's parents called to tell us they are expecting temps in excess of 40C starting tomorrow (110F) .. darned humidity.
Right now I'm sitting here with a sweater on as it's so damp and cool .. the heavy rain warning was cancelled an hour ago, but, it's just pouring out ...
Should try and figure somethig out for dinner .. just so fed up trying to TRAP 'FRUIT FLIES' .. grrrrrrrrrrrr, pesky lil beggars .. have all the fruit in plastic bags, but, also have tomatoes on the plant stand to ripen .. they zoomed right in on them .. I have 2 little saucers of white wine, and a gizmo I read about making online, which does work, but NOT well enough for me ..
Off n shufflin ^_^

Thanks Crissy, so glad to see you posting the good news of both of you getting jobs! Congrats!
Sorry to hear of the flood damage, but looks like it was for the better. You will love your memory foam mattress. Todd and I have had one for about 7 years now, and every time we lay down, we both say... Oh I love this bed!
Hello Dianne, how are you doing?
I used to be able to find No Pest Strips that worked so well against any flying bugs. When they first came out Shell gas stations had them, then some of the hardware stores. They were safe around food, pets, and kids. Yellow plastic rectangle maybe 2" x 7" that was in a sealed bag. You took it out and slid it into a cardboard frame and hung it up where ever it was needed. In a very short time, all the bugs were dead. One strip would work all summer. I guess I'm gonna have to run the local hardware stores to see if I can find them again. I know Walmart doesn't have them.
