Oh God Betty, I can't belive all this happening to your family. I put my grand son in a place called Hebron Colony Ministries. Maybe they have some place like that in Canada. It was not expensive.
I am praying for you, Noah and family. He will get better. Sending hugs and love.
OH Betty - dear heart. Both Norm and I are so sad about what is happening there. We both want so much to offer you some kind of comfort but we know we can only tell you that we care and that if there were anything we could do to help, we would be doing it. Sending you gentle hugs to try to ease some of your pain. Our prayers continue.....
Try to get some sleep Betty! Sending you lots of (((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))
I'm right there along with everyone else Betty. Asked my brother Bob, how he and his wife got through their grandsons brush with drugs, Bob just said the family climbed the hills, crossed the bridges and eventually things worked out, but, it took time, and it also took a toll on those who were going through it.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for you and your family, you're doing all you can.
Like everyone else though, I truly wish I had more to offer you .. but.. cyber hugs are all I have.
DH got home .. lots of deals States side .. butter was $2.00/pound .. I paid $4.20 last week, happily he bought 9 pounds ^_^
The BassPro jacket was a m=none issue at the border ... whew ..
Took my methotrexate an hour ago, starting to feel queazy, off to bed I go ..
Hugs everyone

busy week during work day and in evening, so will try to post later - just heading out again, now.......
Betty, like the others I feel so helpless right now trying to think of some small way to help you and your family. Prayers and hugs continue coming your way from me and Kim. Please, and I know it sounds insane about now, take care of yourself...Noah will be needing his grandmother one day and you need to be there.
Praying for you and your family Betty... you are such a strong family and will get through this but I do not like to see you hurting.
September is Substance Abuse Awareness month and I recently met a couple directors of recovery centers. There are some great people out there who can help...

Betty standing with you and your dear family. Sending prayers of comfort, strength and hope. Marion is right - you need to take good care of yourself right now so you can be there for Noah, Kyle, Greg and Mel.
Sweet dreams everyone.

YAY! NO frost last night, BUT, the temps went down to 35F.
As has been my routine the last few days, I woke up thinking of Betty and family. Noah of course is on my mind as well, to be in such a turmoil at a young age, AND, during all the reading I have been doing about this , I find out, that the incidence of kids in this situation is on the rise. I'm kind of analytical and wonder that if the 'incidence is on the rise, WHY aren't there facilities to help these children and their families?
Course, that's not helping Betty, but, fodder for thought for me IF there is a Provincial election in the offing.
I hope today is a better one Betty.
Lorna's folks arrive tomorrow (Sunday) we pick them up at the airport at 1030 .. then back here for lunch, and no doubt countless card games .. hope my hip is UP for all the action .. but, I'm sure it is. The week will go fast .
Looking ahead October seems to be filling up with every type of appt you can imagine .. going to have to really think about a trip away down east, would have to reschedule a few appts, and, DH has another Sportsmans Show out west smack in the middle.
Off to have a cuppa, so far I'm the only one up and about, besides the dogs and cat ^_^
Have a lovely weekend, stay safe

Just thinking .. should I move us over ?
I know Betty has always wanted to keep it down to 200 posts.
~M~
I guess we missed the frost too after taking precautions. Now supposed to be warmer for a few days so plants can go back out.
Go ahead and start a new page Marilynne, I'm sure Betty won't mind at all.
Fingers crossed I do this OK LoL
~M~
M I am sure Betty would appreciate you moving us over. She sure has a lot on her plate right now and moving us would make her smile.
The lack of beds in facilities like Noah needs has been an age old problem and got worse when we had all the health cuts. Spent many an hour on the phone or in person cajoling the Admin at such facilities to take an at risk kid off of my caseload. The worst paart of the job was telling parents there were no spaces. Broke my heart. A couple of times both Warren and I brought home teens to live with us as a stop gap measure. They could not go back to their homes - it just wasn't safe.
Cool, crisp morning - just how I like them.

Morning all,
Sunshine here this a.m. Real fall day..
Had a terrible night but did manage to doze in between.
Melanie called early this a.m. She is mentally exhausted but wanted to give me a report.
Greg spent the evening with Noah, she said the sitting was calm, late evening Noah said he was really tired and it was ok for Greg to leave..Greg got a few hours of sleep but was at the hospital before dawn but they wouldn't let him see Noah as he was still sleeping so he will sit and wait.
He wasn't allowed visitors, either mom or dad last night, but Mel's bio parents from Meaford sat in waiting room as did her adoptive parents and her sister..all wanting Noah to know they were there for him and love him..
Can't do much more than be there for him..
I so thank you for being here..drats just started to cry again
Guess we are all the same, make trade off with the Lord, this old life has done what all it can do, would so trade it for Noah getting better...the deals we try and make
I'll keep busy downstairs, just sitting will really get me into a tizzy, not that I want to be doing something but it's either that or cry..hmm doing that anyway..
Will move us
