Oh well Sistah Judy, as Kel would say, it's just a sacrifice to the garden gods!! Lol.
At least he wants to help you.
Thanks for that pretty picture of Julia. That personality of hers shines through. I went to her FB page, and she hasn't added any new pictures!
Let me have some of that eau de dirt, Marion!! But I only want the good reasonably priced ones to be attracted to me!! So far it's been bottles of fish fertilizer that have been the main occupants of my buggy!
I will get one of those yellow KO roses one day.
Cookie, soon you'll be ready to start your annual pond tour. I miss sitting by your pond.. and your company of course.
LK, read this. Says the huge screen and the 4G can drain your battery.

SWEET INTERRUPTIONS # 259
I have the 3G Jaye, guess it is a common problem with the new phones?
geeze, LK - I have that phone, and it's good for 2 to 3 days...... I sometimes forget to shut it off, so that drains it.
but when it starts to go, it goes fast lol
Morning sistahs.
Bleary Monday, yet, praise Him for the rains.
Will be trying to do a RWB gift.. at least think of one :D
I'm such a turd when it comes to meeting deadlines. For sure those babies will be at least a year old when I send the quilts out!!
Kel's been splitting himself.
Read this, his elder brother came for the weekend to relieve Kel, but will call Kel to help Murdock in and out of bed! The poor man fell yesterday, and again, Kel was called. So, a weekend off, isn't one for Kel. We still had to make sure we're not too far from the house.
This morning, he had to bring his dad to the doctors. He had suggested using an ambulance service, as that man had to be carried now.
But MIL won't hear it. Kel again, have to find some strength and brains to figure out how to move his dad to the truck.
When he was leaving.. he asked me to pray for him. Breaks my heart.
I told him that WE all are.
Thank you for your prayers sistahs. They've been keeping him sane.
Later this afternoon, we have to bring a sick Dallas to the vet, and Kel's supposed to be at work this evening. Thankfully, it's just for 5 hours.
Oh I had that Roll OVer Beethoven stuck in my head all night, Sue!!
Love to you and Cookie!
Still sending prayers for Kel!
Thank you so much LK!
I'm sending them too Jaye. You have a good man there and he is trying so hard to please everyone. God watches out for souls like that I'm sure......
Thank you so much Barb.
I read these out to Kel, and you all should hear his sigh. He appreciates deeply these prayers as he knows God listens.
Tell him were sending big ((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) too!
Oh Jaye, that is just unbelievable...wait! No, it isn't after reading about MIL all these years. Does she not think of the strain on Kel and the possibility of breaking bones in Murdock? Apparently not!
You know you have prayers from this household and much, much love. I just wish there was some way I could help relieve all these issues.....legal ways :-) Sorry, hope I am not punished for that statement.
No rain here but it is so humid outside that it is impossible to do any work. Will continue sorting things inside I guess. Work is progressing quite well and the excitement is building!!!!
Stay cool everyone and be safe if bad weather is near!!!
Marion, legal ways? I was wishing witching ways!! Lol!
When he fell yesterday, one of his arms swell. Yep.. any logical mind would have agreed on an ambulance. But then..
Kel said, when they got there, the rains start pouring heavily! Thank God, an aide happened to be at the entrance and rushed to help Kel. See.. prayers work!!
I told him over the phone what you said LK. He said, thanks but he'll take more fudge!!
Poor man said he's hungry already!! Pretty sure he'd find a vending machine soon.
Sorry for yakking so much on Kel and his family. Seems like a negative page to some, I really can't keep this hurt to myself.
God is so good for giving me sistahs like you.
Jaye, this page is for venting, and laughing, and crying! That is what this family is all about!
jaye, you're more woman than I am. I would have choked her by now. sending prayers to kel and his dad. big hugs to you.
just came from the dentist. I need a root canal, so will have it done next Tuesday at 8 am. oh boy. just what I always wanted
Kathy, you could be like Kim when she had her root canals. When she went for the first one and after they had her all prep for the work, the dentist leaned over and asked if she had a bother named Charlie. Yeap. His next comment was "oh btw, I am Jamie who used to play in your backyard with you and Charlie! Also was in your Spanish classes in HS". Small world indeed!
(((((((((Jaye & Kel))))))))) Prayers and hugs from our house to yours.....
I don't think I've ever met this dentist before today. he did not look familiar, but I am old enough to be his mama.
still no word from kaden and his mom. I miss them so much, and i'm so worried
hugs and love Jaye....we are here for you so just vent away.....I'd be....I don't know what..... if I did not have here to come to talk and to listen♥♥♥
I am feeling better today, at least no pain pills. My Dr. Called to tell me they have the referral ready, but can't get an appointment till mid August! But they will keep me in mind if they get a cancellation! I hate the hurry up and wait..
Thank you, thank you, a million thanks! Thank You Susan, Sis and Thunder.
The next time Murdock's seeing a doctor, he'd be transported via ambulance with qualified medics! Doctor's orders as Murdock is still 6' 5 though he's all skeletal.
Kel said those orders will fell on MIL's deaf ears as usual.. The fall had caused a blood clot.
I really think this woman want him to die early so she could collect on the million dollar insurance. Not being mean, but both sons said the same.
Kel was exhausted but managed to bring Dallas to the vet. I could have done that myself, but my truck is still in the shop.
Poor Kel.. no rest for the weary.
Then dressed up.. ready for work.. but had to put his dad to bed first.
Washed him up.. pjs.. the works. Can't comprehend this. Why not do it when they got home, so Kel can rest more? Nope.. see what he's facing sistahs? It's not to anyone's convenience but hers.
Soap opera writers can't beat her when it comes to drama!!
Ooooh.. I just deleted a line of profanity!!!
Sis Kathy, she's too evil to be choked by a human!! Ouch on the root canal! You'd be in zombie land when you got through with that. Tell the dentist, someone in Texas needs the same knock out pain pills!
Hope they'd fit you in earlier, LK.
At least, Kel will be home by midnight. He's supposed to attend another class tomorrow, then an exam at the end of the class. A full day for him.
Barb, yes, he's a good man. Mother seems to think her kids are to serve her, and good men do break too.
Praise God, He has been carrying Kel. Prayers from your lips to Him and He's listening. Amen.
Even though physically I did less than Kel, my brains went on overload! Ran out of cabernets, had to do the 2 Lamalin! Hoping to sleep well.
I'd like to come and put duct tape over MIL's mouth, Jaye. In fact, I could, by accident of course, put tape over her nose too.. Poor Kel, never knew a man that would do so much for his parents.
Well, we are off and running with a truck that starts up now when DH turns the key. I'm happy now, but will be sad when the credit card statement. Should be glad they discovered the fuel pump was working and not the problem.
Chemo treatment tomorrow after he sees the oncologist. There is one test they always run and it has something to do with the liver, that number is way higher than it should be. All we can do is see when doctor says about it. Sometimes I wonder if I really want to go on the web site and find out what results from the lab work.
Oh Pegi, I so understand your statement about going on the web site and looking up information. I did the same thing. I still am not sure after all these years if it helped me or what. I am the extra weight on your shoulder as a guardian angel helping you with what you find and like or don't like. Just know I am here!
Thank goodness for the doctor!! Bones are so easily broken now that it would be even more pain and distress to have to deal with for sure.
Hugs for Kel and tell him, when you two get a chance to head south, there will be a lemon cake waiting just for him...homemade at that. :-)
One of those very early mornings that I can't sleep. I sure hate that!! Good thing I have the computer to keep me busy. I always have reading material ready too, sure do a lot more reading since I have the kindle fire. Just wish they had wireless at the medical center so I could go on my web sites.
I'll head south too and Kel and I can share that lemon cake.
Morning Pegi, sorry your not sleeping!
Oh Pegi, you're so funny!! It's a waste of your time to spend precious duct tape on evil!!
I don't want to put extra weight on your shoulder, but I'll be with you in spirit when you accompany Darwin to the doctors.
Marion, I am really trying to make it home (Louisiana) for Thanksgiving this year. Family there are bribing me with all the Cajun goodies! If only flight tickets won't be so expensive, I'd be jetting every month.. or every year!
Fixed Kel a good breakfast this morning, so he don't have to be bogged down with unnecessary fast food fats.
Like you Pegi, I chose to turn to the pc. Been missing my late mum and had been searching for the tunes she used to sing to us.
Her radio recordings made pre 1955 were no longer stored with the only Malay radio station in Singapore. It's a shame none of us thought of doing a home recording. But then, we thought she'd live forever..
This lady's voice is so similar to my late mum's. This is a classic that mum would sing to us some evenings. Loosely translated, it's about 4 female dancers swaying to the rhythm of a happy tune. Others joined in the dance, and happy memories were made.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PjqLUX2P0I
Come on Pegi...I will make a cake for each of you. :-)
I love that song and voice, Jaye. It is very soothing to the soul. Marion, wish I could just hop over and enjoy the lemon cakes you are making for me and Kel.
Well, DH had his second chemo treatment and it went very well. I was concerned about one test that was really high, but the doctor doesn't seem too concerned about it. I should have had some medical training if I'm going to go on Kaiser's web site. I didn't get the results of the PSA but doctor showed me on the chart that it is coming down. He wants to keep up with chemo, so he has 3 more set up, every 3 weeks apart. People are so nice; must be a special bond among cancer patients.
I'm sure I'll sleep a little better now. Just hope he can get some strength back. He has a lot of back pain, but I think a lot of that is arthritis. Doctors told him long ago he had arthritis in his spine. Now I can get back to some of my projects........until the next doctor's appointment. Still doctoring with his eye too, but that should be cleared up soon.
Wonderful that your hubby is improving..getting info from internet CAN BE dangerous!
Betty, the info I got was from the medical web site for our insurance HMO. I shouldn't even bother to look up what the test means. I know sometimes when the PSA is really high they don't put it on the web site for the patients can see it. Maybe it makes a difference what technician puts it in the computer. I just hope all these treatments doesn't make him so sick, but he doesn't mind losing his hair because he is losing a lot on top any way.
Good news indeed Pegi. I also wish you could just hop right on over and share the lemon cake.
Well ladies, I am gonna disappear!!! I am going to go outside, sit in the rain and thunderstorm and look for wooly worms to eat!!!:-(
In the process of taking down the old ceiling (which I hated more than you know) the contractor discovered I had a serious leak from the pipe going to the sink in my bathroom. Seriously damaged wood that has to be removed after the plumber finished replacing the old pipe (original when house was built in 70's) and installs the new pipe. Will need to have a couple of boards put back in with braces. What more can go wrong? :-( Hey wait, maybe it is a good thing I hated that ceiling or we might have had a more serious problem like one of you coming to visit and the floor falling through.
Guess I will take a warm shower instead and eat my roast instead of wooly worms.
got my license straightened out. got there at seven thirty, they opened 8, I got out at nine thirty. not bad
Not bad at all Kathy.
oh, go ahead and eat the wooly worms. I would
Nah! Think I will eat the roasted beast instead but it sure is tempting after today.
I love roasted beast. who did you roast
Glad to hear tou got your licensed fixed. Did you fix that mirror?
I didn't have a broken mirror. that's what confused me
then today I got a letter from mv wanting to know if my daughters car was insured om may 30. my insurance agent said that every month they send that letter to 30,000 people. that's how the state keeps track of people with no insurance
The builder of this house!! That and the previous owner are who I roasted!!!!! The plumber couldn't believe the mess he found for what passed as plumbing. Fixed now.
Still cooked the dude!!
Some of these contractors don't do a decent job, just want to get the houses finished. My sister bough a home that was being built in a gated community years ago and in the living room one wall was so out of line and a good thing she made them redo it. I'll bet they would glad when the house was finished to her satisfaction. No one pulls the wool over her eyes.
