Sweet Interruptions # 255

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hey Jaye - come see me.......... a little snow and cold will make you appreciate your dear Kel LOL
I'm still praying for him. The thing that worries me most is him driving when he's so tired.......
He's been trying to be good to 3 people - his mom & dad, and you...... (those lovely maple trees are planted).

My Bob wants to take me out to a movie tonight - going to look up Oz (starts today) and The Hobbit. 2nd one's been in theatres for awhile, so less lines and crowds I would think.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

((((((((((((Jaye)))))))))))))
gonna call you...........

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear that Jaye, but you know were all here to listen, and offer our shoulders to lean on! Vent away!

Kathy we have the coffee pot going all the time, help yourself! You need to figure out what those headaches are from!

I talked to Kathy last night, and the Dr.'s told her the removed toe area is looking better for Dad, so if they can keep it healing, they will not have to remove any more. So that is good news.
My son Andy called me yesterday, and told me that Dylan has another double ear infection, they are scheduled for surgery on April 3rd, to have tubes placed in his ears.
Always seems to be something going on!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

LK, PRAYINF FOR DAD AND DYLAN, (((((HUGS))))) TO YOU

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

LK - that IS good news.........!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh poor Dylan.
Once he has the tubes placed, there'll be less infection. Heather must remember to get some ear plugs for him when he's in water.

Good news indeed on your dad LK!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

good morning who has the coffee? on my way to lowes to pi ck up a hot water heater for the house.
kicking around dates for the sisters gathering. hoping to be moved by the end of april. i'm open to any input y'all may have

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Is the hot water heater for the new house?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, I bet that made a mess when the water line broke!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sure need some fuel this morning LK. Was hoping for a nice getaway today at some fabric dreamland, but it's gonna be online!
Weather is too beautiful to be cooped up indoors, oh well.. I can admire the weeds can't I? Lol!!!

That's a lot of physical work replacing the hot water heater. Hope Michael gets some help, Sis.
I can't really make a promise for my appearance Sis Kathy.

So what's this I'm hearing? Sissy...you having the get-together at your new house now? Fill me in sistahs!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

jaye, I am praying for you sister, you need you time.
we have hired someone to replace all the plumbing and put the hot water heater in.
I think my daughters friend is going to paint for me.
Michael is talking about talking a weeks vacation to get my animal pens ready.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Sorry to hear about Dylan but thrilled for Dad LK> That has to be encouraging for him.
How is Lola Jaye?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's so good to know you'd be getting help Sis, even if you're paying for one.

Thanks for asking Barb. Today, I cannot entice her with any food not even ice cream. At least she's drinking.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

She will perk up soon - she has to let you know that she wants attention and that is a good way to get it - make Mommy worry!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol!! You think Barb?
I do hope so. I had to cajole her for a kiss, which she gave very reluctantly with a .. oh well.. look!

I'm trying to sew.. but can't concentrate. Each time the FB dings.. I'm drawn to it :D
Kel is at work, won't be home till 5. Maybe Lola would like some Pepper Steak take out later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Can anyone point me int the right direction for plus size clothing? I have looked at Roamans, and lane bryant, even ebay, and I just can't find what I am looking for. I need something to wear to a wedding next week end. All the stores in town, and online have clothes that are so gawdy!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

lk, have you checked woman within.com? I shop there sometimes

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Hooray for shopping for clothes for a wedding, LK!
Sorry - I don't have any suggestions. I know that a lot of plus size clothes are gaudy...... yuck!
It's why I don't like shopping. Most of 'em remind me of my elderly aunt's clothes, from the 60's!!
Here we come, Mumus...... !! lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks Kathy, I will go look now.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone, coffee is ready, time to rise and shine!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

LK - did you find the dress you want for the wedding?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yes, I have ordered two of them, hoping one will fit! Now looking for a decent pair of shoes.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Glad you were able to find TWO dresses - are they different sizes? I know that those with different countries sizes can be off-size from what you're used to.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hey, show us, LK.

Can't spend much time here, got to hit town and do multiple errands.
But will be back later this evening.
Hugs to all.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Going to be a good day. Got home (about an hour ago) from driving Bob to work.
Going for lunch with a friend.
Working on a lap quilt comprised of blocks from a swap in 2009! About time I got it done, eh?!
It's my b-day pressie to myself lol

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

WHERE DID YOU ORDER THE DRESSES FROM LINDA?
jaye, how you feeling today
/

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I ordered two different outfits, same size, even when I go shopping for jeans, I can try on 4 different pair of size 16, and they all fit different.
I ordered this one from woman within,
http://www.womanwithin.com/clothing/Jacket-and-dress-set-in-flowing-chiffon-with-silvery-beads.aspx?PfId=388532&DeptId=9304&ProductTypeId=1

and this one from roamans... http://www.roamans.com/clothing/Asian-Print.aspx?PfId=20820&DeptId=26582&ProductTypeId=2

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Kathy - she ordered them from womanwithin.com

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

LK - are the dresses you ordered the white Jacket and dress set in flowing chiffon with silvery beads
and the Kimono Tee and Asian print skirt?
They are both Lovely! oh, I just love the colour of the tee and skirt! The jacket and dress are so elegant and classic!!
As it's a Spring wedding, I really prefer the kimono & skirt set...... :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

These are the two I ordered, first one is the lavender dress from woman within. 2nd is from Roamans, in turqoise skirt and blouse

oooooooooh I love those!!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy Birthday Susan.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thank you, Barb :-)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Kim orders a lot of her clothing from Woman Within and I am really impressed with what she has gotten. Nice being able to order professional looking clothes that are so current in style. Like the 2 you posted LK.

Happy birthday Susan.

Not doing much today as I managed to get a sunburn yesterday. Went to Red Hills International Horse Show (local) and even though I was sitting in the shade I managed to get burned. Bad me!! The is an recognized show that qualifies people for the Olympics. Rides were from New Zealand, Great Britain, Sweden and Canada plus many from the states including Florida. Beautiful show of horses and rider expertise.

Joyce, Kathy will be doing the gathering this year. Several conflicts ...mainly my knee and mom..so she very graciously offered to do it for me. What a sistah she is!!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

awe marion, ya making me blush.
happy birthday susan.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sure hope your sunburn is not too bad, I hear that vinegar is good for sunburns?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thanks Marion & Kathy!!
Yes LK, I heard that vinegar is good for sunburns...... very cooling, apparently.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Susan!

This year is a good year for those UFOs Susan.. and that goes for me too. Lol!

Such lovely dresses, LK. I too am drawn to that modified kimono top and lovely skirt. Never shop from womanwithing, will have to check out what's offered there.

That must be very uncomfortable for you Marion. Hydrocortisone cream can also help heal the sunburn area.

Hi there Sis. Wish I can help you in moving.

Even though Kel's the one driving, I'm the tired one.. guess us women can get more mental exhaustion than men. So, when we got home, I took a short nap.

All these time, I've been getting Hambone's food from WM. At a local Tractor Supply store, we found it's much cheaper! Managed to find a cute decorative birdhouse too from there.

Also.... Lola's surgery date has been moved from the 18th, Monday to the 14th, this Thursday.
The vet recommended an overnight stay.

Think I'll hit the ironing board.
