I think we are all pack rats! I feel sorry for who ever has to sort this place out when we leave this world.
Hope your hand is doing better Cindy.
Sweet Interruptions # 255
I use my Homedics Foot Massager to soak my hand in, then have an old hand massager with heat of my mom's but fro some reason after I massaged it, it swelled up and turned black and blue....?????? It's fine now, thumb has a numb feeling though, not real bad.
The old house we lived in had ironing board in the kitchen and I remember when I was growing up the first house my mom and dad owned had one in the kitchen also.
Cindy - your hand has never done this before? Sounds like an aversion to heat - ever wash dishes in hot water and have it happen?!
I was thinking the same Susan.
Keep an eye on that hand Cindy, if it stay's numb you need to call the Dr.
Good morning! Made Peanut Butter Tea Bread in my bread maker - and there's fresh coffee brewed!
Going to take Bob to work (early) and later will be going to Bible Study.
Another 4:30 Good Morning,
Yes my hand did do this one other time, but I had been doing a lot of lifting. It's fine this morning
Morning ladies! Thanks for the bread and coffee Susan! Both of you are up early!
Looks like it is going to be another warm day, 86 and cloudy the weather channel says, sure wish we could get some rain! Think I will clear off the table, and get some sewing done. I need to finish that quilt of valor top, make a baby blanket for a friend, get some blocks done for a Facebook swap, and birdhouse blocks for DG!
I got up at 4:30, so could take Bob to work for 6am. Doing some drilling at work, and scheduled early so it doesn't disturb office workers. Should be finished today, and therefore not drive him to work.......
Susan fixed breakfast!!!!! No wonder I had to turn the heater on this morning! Brrrrr....
Thanks dear one!
Wow LK, you truly are brave in committing yourself to so many projects with deadlines!!
But of course.. you're the industrious one! Would love to see pic of that quilt of valor when you're done.
I have a good excuse now not to turn on the sewing machine. Blame it all on Marion! Been turning the pages and oohing and ahhing.
Alas, I do have to return to sewing soon and finish that wonky baby quilt. April will soon be here!!
Cindy, thank you so much for the lovely birdfeeder. Excellent choice of color.
Your Welcome Jaye
Jaye, those are bedtime reading not to stop you from sewing during the day! I worked outside for a while yesterday...limiting my time as I do not want to over do it on the knee just yet. It felt so good and the progress was just what I needed to snap out of my slump!!
We are suppose to have nice weather until Saturday and then well.....you know.
Thanks for the bread and coffee Susan. Only took a very skinny slice as I have been on this cream of wheat "kick" and just have to have my bowl this morning. Duh! Comes and goes.
Well, back to getting some more things done outside......
Gotta tell ya - the Coffee & Walnut bread I made WENT....... everyone liked it best, but the Dark Chocolate & Walnut bread didn't go over as well. They liked the Almond Butter Tea Bread", and Apple Pie Bread better.
I'm getting a sense of what I will bake for the church's Spring Fare (yes, it's spelled that way).
We have a luncheon, and a bake sale,as well as tables we rent to sell whatever we want of our stuff.
Ah, so you have some guinea pigs to help you figure it out!
lol yup
Think I'm going to give Choir Practice a miss tonight....... pretty tired.
Morning sistahs.
Sue... HUGGGGGGGGSSSS and we're here for you.
Hug your twins for us too.
Morning Jaye!
it is Friday, what's your plans for the week end?
Todd and I are going to San Antonio, Rory has his first little league baseball game Saturday. Can't miss that, then on Sunday, we are going to Dylan's first Birthday party. His Birthday was the 19th, but they are celebrating it Sunday. Hard to believe he is one already!
Sue, sending you lots of prayers today with lots of ((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) too!
Finishing the 1st baby quilt, LK. That's a must!! Then I can start with a girlie quilt. Found out from grandma that her daughter HATES bugs. So.. scrapped my plans for a bug quilt for her grandaughter. I do have some Tinkerbell fabric, might do a disappearing 9 patch which will finish faster.
You're leaving today? Well, good thing it's not snowing there.
Cover Dylan in smooches for us please! Have fun and don't eat too much ice cream... Todd!
What's Rory's position? Hope it's a good game for him.
Not today, we leave in the morning. Will be back Sunday afternoon sometime!
Sorry to hear you bought all that bug fabric, hopefully you can use it in something else?
sew - what are you going to do with your bug material, Jaye? I hope you have other plans for it!
Yes Susan, I have so far, 2 more boys quilts on the list :(
Like I said, I may have to pass out contraceptives!!
This girl is very special to me. I've known her since she's born. Can't believe how time flew so fast.. remind me of that Fiddler On the Roof song. "Is this the little girl I carried". I had missed her wedding last year, didn't get her anything but had made a solemn promise to myself that the quilt for her first child will be extra special.
How could I forget that Amber was such a prissy little girl then.
You have a safe trip LK!
Just a check in....I am alive!
Just skimmed over stuff. LK....you didn't sign yourself up for the froggie swap!!!
Cold, cold here!
Hey Cookie, how you doing? Glad to hear your still alive!
Thanks for the reminder, I will go and add my name to the list.
^_^ I'm okay. Bill's Dad is getting worse and worse. Speaking of Dad's....how is yours doing?
Dad is doing good, he kind of likes the nursing gome, and all the other older people there. He just does not like having to share the tv controller with his room mate.
LOL! Understand that...maybe you could get him his own with a headset or something...
My sister is looking for headsets of him, he will still have to watch what the other guy is watching, but at least he won't have to have it so loud the whole nursing home can hear.
My mom will be getting her own tv & phone for her room when she moves into the Intermediary Care Home she's going to in a few (or a couple...... or one) week(s).
Glad to hear she will get her own TV, that will make things easy for her.
yes, I'm really pleased about the looks of the room, too. Don't think she'll need to use her walker as much, cuz it's a bed/sitting room and therefore not large, and all walls will be close......

Come on over faithful and loving family!
That was a fun swap Cindy. Some of mine are on display on a quilt rack Norm made me. I change them out with the seasons!!! They came out great.
Now you have a place to show them!!!!
