I Got A Job! It's a "temp to perm" position, but I start it tomorrow at 9am!
It's an Excavating company, and the wages are in line with what I've been making.
The agency called me about it this aft, asked if I would like to start, confirmed me with the company and I just got the call back to start tomorrow!! woo hoo!!

Oh Jaye, that must have been scary for sure, soup mix? LOL!

Yes, I do remember the marbles we all sent AuntB, she was so tickled to see them all come in.

Thanks LK - it was totally unexpected and "out of the blue" when I heard about the job the agency was considering me for.......... this afternoon!
So, less than 24 hours later I start my new job.....!!!

It's 6:45 now, and I have a bit of time to get ready. I went last night to get my hair cut.......it was pretty shaggy, and wanted to look good for my 1st day!!

Kel's parents were so curious noticing the 3 cars going down our dirt road. Paranoid as my MIL is, she kept telling Kel that our house will be under surveillance!! Yah.. I bet there'll be agents in the woods with their strong binoculars!! Lolol.

Hi - 1st day at the new job was great - team is very friendly, and they seem to think my attitude/work ethic is JUST what the Dr ordered lol I think I'd enjoy working with the people at the company, and the work seems to be offering me a challenge - I like that very much.

Just one issue - start work @ 8:30 and no breaks, finish at 5pm. Actually they said I could have 30 min lunch, but cannot leave my desk! In addition to Office Coordinator position (very busy role), I am also their receptionist. No mid-morning or afternoon coffee break either. I've emailed to the employment agency about this. There is no way that I cannot leave my desk except to fill my coffee and go to the washroom What if I want to sit in the lunchroom, or go for a walk? There is no one to relieve me from the front desk. Sure, I need to do other work like go to someone's office for work-related stuff, but that's still work.

Susan what if you have to pee ?

Susan, it's labor law here that for the work of 8 hours, an employee is entitled to an hour's break, or 1/2 hr PLUS 2 15 mins. break.
Don't know about Canada.
With your anxiety attack.. may I say that this job will soon stress you out. I worry about you.. should I? I'm praying that Lord find ways for you to cope.

Boy, I would be calling the Labor Board about that place!!!! Never heard of a job where you don't get breaks.

I still have HUMMERS!!!! There was one flying around my purple glass bird feeder so I thought I'd put sugar water back out. Now I havw two hummers fighting over the feeded

A busy fun filled weekend for me...........Girls Dinner party tonight, plus we will be celebrating Sheri's bday which was the 11th but she was sick with the flu so we couldn't do anything then. I am making a "Better Than Sex" cake.......my first time and all I have to say is I think this is going to be a very sweet cake that will require a large glass of milk, lol Will be spending the night at Sheri's then up early am and get ready for a ride, spend the night at Sheri's bf's house, then up early Sunday for another ride that benefits children, may get home about 7 pm Sunday night

Yes i m sure i took the last glass of wine LOL . i got a new glass Don't Drink and Fly LOL and it has witch lets for the stem LOL love my witch stuff.

After emailing the agency, the company rep (Jenn) came to me and clarified - I CAN get two 15 min and one 30 min breaks. My predecessor "preferred" to stay at her desk, but it was Not company policy......
She apologized for not explaining it properly, and Jenn said she thought I had had it explained to me. She assumed it was. Now everything's clear, and I can call for relief for my breaks - I've been told who will do so.
Jaye - it will take awhile for my stress to relieve itself, but it will come. I already feel better.

I finish it all LK!! Now I'm finishing the rest of the fig preserves.. which is about 1/4 of an oz. left! Having one of those Sweet Cravings day, and no I'm not pregnant!!!
The rest of the preserves are still untouched in the fridge. Want some?

Cindy, I want a bunch of those Better than Sex cake! Lol!! Kel needs them for his diet!!

Lol! Yes LK, did take extra insulin. Not only did I have a temporary sugar feast, but I ate 2 slices of pizza too last night! UNREAL! I normally would take one slice, but it smell so good coming out of the oven.
Can't even remember what I watch last night, think the tv watched me snore.

Up early this morning. Got all this energy to be killed. So, I'll be grocery shopping early. Don't know about you all, but I tend to get my meat weekly. Never like them sitting too long in the freezer.
Then off to Dollar General for the animals' din-din and Kel's canned spaghetti and meatballs. So easy to raise him!! Lol!!
Will have to be back before football starts of course.

With one minute left, the Aggies (Texas A&M) did some lateral passes to try to salvage the game! FORTUNATELY that didn't work out! But, they had certainly entertained us!

Kel was so sick with LSU's first quarter performance, that he refused to watch the rest of the game. He came running out of the bedroom to see why I was laughing so loud, instead of the usual cussin. (Sorry Lord.. .. there were no 4 letter words)

ROFLOL, Nope Jaye, didn't hear you yell nor did I watch the game. I had just gotten home from the hospital and the meds given me in order to do the MRI were still having an effect on me. Shucks, for that matter, they are still making me groggy. I told you I get "good" mileage out of things......even smelling the vanilla cap.

For now, I am just fine, sleepy, but fine. Will tell more later but thank goodness for Kim and Charles!!!!!

They were checking to make sure there were no clots or blockages in my front and back blood vessels in my neck or head. The CAT scan apparently doesn't show it up as well as an MRI with dye does. Taking no chances due to my age. What me old? Guess I have to wear the shoe if it fits. I am not even sure what the MA is/was and when they did it as the meds to get me through that MRI tube had kicked in big time.

I will give Kim your number but honestly, I don't think either was thinking to clearly...and example, she posted she was in ER with Mom before she thought to call my sister. Huge mistake as their aunt chewed both of their back sides.

Oh yes, this didn't go down with a little laughter!! Catie-Beth called to make sure grandma was okay. Question: "Are you wearing a dress that is open in the back so every one can see and she spelled it out...B U T T?" Gotta love that child!!!

Cookie and I found an LSU Hot Sauce at JJ's market , we thought of you Jaye :) they had all kinds of college football hot sauces.

Morning everyone, I am back home. I got here about 3:30 yesterday, and I was so tired, I sat on the recliner and fell asleep. Then I got 10 hours of sleep last night.
