LK, I am okay just weak from all the vomiting and sore from all the pushing, pommeling and poking that goes with being in the hospital. Not as groggy as I was yesterday so it will be a "pamper" myself day today.
Sweet Interruptions #248
Sure hope they have that med marked in big red letters, do not take on your charts!
LOL it is.
Welcome home LK. Are there still hummers visiting?
Don't worry about unpacking the suitcase, you need to destress!
Marion, CB is certainly very entertaining for a sick grandma, ain't she?
Lol!! At least she didn't spell *A S S*.. for knowing you, you'd have corrected her 'arse'!!!
Pamper away, don't do anything that Kim could do for you! (Sorry Kim)
Love you dear lady, and we'll pray for no more scares like that.
Kel just told me that he'd love to see you again, and agreed to driving down FL. way, if he could get a break for a week.
How's that for a real scare? Lol!!
Good way to ignite thoughts of me, Sue.. Cookie!! Yep, I love dem hot sauce! Same level as LSU!
A cool morning today, and getting ready to go OOT. You all have a wonderful Monday.
God is so good to my sistahs here!
Jaye, that would be great. Yes, CB is very entertaining indeed! Abbi was upset and wouldn't talk to me but she has been assured grandma is fine. CB did lecture Kim about taking care of me...she is the family joker for sure.
I truly am okay, just weak and oh so sore but that too will pass. I have a follow up visit on Wednesday with my doctor so will know discuss all issues completely with him.
I have not seen a hummer since I came back, I think they have all migrated south for the winter! :(
good day :)
fine winter weather here this week. up in the mid 70's all week. so we got our indian summer. then its back to cold brrrr. good thing i didn't plant all them crocus yet ... they would have all bloomed ! ack :P
marion so glad everything is good . Scared us girl !
i m not a sports person but i do enjoy baseball and i m enjoying my team SF Giants winning !
RFLOL, Sue I was pretty scared myself. Feeling much better.
I just got home, and found a message from the employment agency - my last day was today, and I'm not to go back..... I think it was because the person training me had me doing things in a wrong priority order....... that's the reason she's being transferred back to her old job........ and She's training me????
I have to go back to get my shoes, return my security fob, and also get a spray bottle and brush I brought to clean the popcorn machine. I'm not leaving any of my stuff there!!
sorry Susan sending hugs....
Thanks Thunder......
Don't think that is fair to you, you lose your job because you were trained wrong? Make sure you get all your belongings.
Yes, I will
Good Morning Ladies,
Weekend was a blast, lots of laughs Friday night but two gf's didn't make it because of being sick. Was told by one gf that we will be taking a limo ride to where ever we decide to go, probably to the wine country for the day, then in Dec we are going to spend a weekend in San Franciso. Sheri's bf has an apartment there. I love SF and have not been there since "97" when I bought lace to make my wedding dress. Going with 5 gfs is going to toatally CRAZY!!!! lol
Saturday we rode along the Sacramento River, then stopped in old town Sacramento checked out all the stores
Sunday was a benefit ride (over 1000 bikes) for Foster Kids, was an awesome ride but dang chilly and dumb me I didn't wear my leathers. Thank God for Sheri, she had extra gloves and jacket other wise I would of been frozen to the back seat, lol
We had 4 tornado warnings yeterday, never got close to us but one touched down real close to Doug's mom, and she lives in a mobile home, yikes. We are expecting a real bad storm late tonight and will get real intense about 2 am, luckily I'll be sound asleep (I hope, lol)
Picture 1, Folsom HD before we left on ride, Picture 2, Jim, Sheri, Buck and Jenny, Picture 3 neat bike that a WOMAN rides, she said that a lot of guys won't let her ride with them because of her awesome bike, lol
lol "won't let her ride with them because of her awesome bike" LOL great 'turn around' eh? So many guys have the awesome bike, and now here a woman has one LOL
Glad you had a terrific weekend and looking forward to the GF weekend with 5!!!!! That would be great, to have such an estrogen weekend! rofl
Yikes on the tornado warnings!! I know that mobile home parks have the most damage from tornadoes. I live in one, and am glad we don't have them here!!
A sweet grandmother
telephoned St. Joseph 's Hospital. She timidly asked,
"Is it possible to speak to someone
Who can tell me how a patient is doing?"
The operator said,
"I'll be glad to help, dear.
What's the name and room number of the patient?"
The grandmother in her weak, tremulous voice said,
"Norma Findlay, Room 302."
The operator replied, "Let me put you on hold while I check with the nurse's station for that room."
After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone and said, "I have good news. Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back normal, and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged tomorrow."
The grandmother said,"Thank you. That's wonderful. I was so worried.
God bless you for the good news."
The operator replied,"You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"
The grandmother said,"No, I'm Norma Findlay in Room 302. No one tells me shit."
LOL Cindy - too funny!!
Major snow storm today - went to my last employers to pick up my stuff, hand off the security fob, and get my time sheet signed. If I hadn't had to do that and pick packages up at the PO, I wouldn't have gone out!! Very "greasy" out, and difficult to change lanes with the snow ruts! They're so cold that it's difficult so you almost have to hit the gas pedal, plus you hit greasy spots and that makes it worse.
Gas/Brake......... repeat...
but, I'm home safe now.
Susan, I think you were let go because they're angry that you question on those breaks. And rightfully so!!
They rather have someone who'd be a 'paid' slave to them.
Well sister, hold your head up, no matter what their excuse is, you have Jesus as your boss!!
Used to follow baseball Sue. But got frustrated with the long, long games.
Cindy, you're having too much fun!! Send some this way. I got to make my own fun right?
Grandma's a smart one!
Not getting enough sleep here. Doctor had already diagnosed me with sleep aepnea. (sp).. but I cannot afford to take the test and the darn machine. Moreover, we have already one Mrs. Darth Vader here!! Lolol.. sorry Marion.. and you're sleeping soundly right?
Marion, Kel says that he's going there to experience Cuban food!! That boy!!
I do hope my sistahs are having a better day than me. Love you!
Excuse me but I "be" an elephant with a trunk!!! LOL No noise from my machine at night.......nice and quiet. Kim's old one was noisy but now she has a new one and it is very quiet too.
Come on down...either we cook it ..oh wait, it is Mexican we cook and Cuban we go get. Can manage both. Might let me get the dungeon finished so I can have a bed ready. LO(L
Kim had a root canal this morning that ended up being worse than anticipated. Sleeping right now but I need to get her up as she has another doctor's appointment this afternoon.
(((((((((Jaye)))))))))) you blessed sistah - I hope you feel better soon!!
You may be right, Jaye - Yesterday I told Jenn that filling the pop machine was maybe more than I could do - lugging those boxes of cans (24 in each), and there are about 6 kinds, from storage to the warehouse, then to fill the machine. I also don't think it's something that an Executive Assistant would do...... there are warehouse guys and young girls (20+) to do that sort of stuff........
I don't believe in "NMJ" (not my job) but I know when I got home on Thursday after doing this with Marissa that my chest hurt. Maybe I did pull something a couple of months ago, but I was sure glad to get home on Thursday......
Oh Jaye......... my ex has sleep apnea, and he has a machine, but I'll bet he doesn't use it.....
wish I could grab his from him and send it to you lol
Cindy, sounds like you had a great week end, and that bike is beautiful!
Jaye, hope you get some rest soon!
Marion, do your Granddaughters call you the elephant? Sounds like something they came up with.
Susan i think it may be a blessing in disguise for you on that job. Sounded to fishy with all the bad communication ? sending you a hug
Cindy ! that is one rad bike ! she got . I may be in SF in Dec also !! hint hint *wink* my parents live in Palo Alto and i want to go see them this Dec. With no kids or DH :) just me .
well got some project done today
still didn't get them crocus and hyacinth in the ground yet... procrastination is my frend grrrr. :P
i think my apple job will end next week. :( a sad farewell .
Poor Kim.. Marion.. make sure she has a good supply of jello pudding!
Again, I'm sure Kel is somewhat 'ghostly' related to her, as he too had a bad root canal! Or perhaps, he can't stand pain!
Sue, that's wonderful if you could have a nice vacation by yourself. Wouldn't it be more grant if you and Cindy could meet? Vrooomm.... there goes Sue and Cindy.. some biker mamas!!
No rest yet, LK. Just came back from visiting church sister who surprised me with quilting books she bought for 50cents each at garage sales.
Had a good visit, came home laden with American persimmons, pomegranates and home made biscuits.
Now.. I'm going to bed.
Good night everyone.
What a nice surprise for you Jaye! Books and fruit!
yummmm Jaye - I've never had persimmons - what do they taste like? Actually, never had pomegranates either............ now, homemade biscuits I have had, and you're making my mouth water!!
Good Morning Ladies
Was on FB and found this message from Stacy
Soooo, we had our ultrasound and visit to the baby specialist yesterday. Everything is going well and all the things I am taking are apparently working. We also found out that the baby is a girl:) We are soooooo excited. So it looks like in Feb we will have Alexandra Evelyn to add to the family!!!
Oh that's wonderful news, Cindy, thanks so much for sharing that. She didn't really want to be preggers right now (her words) but at least she's getting that girl! I wouldn't have wanted to be around her if they said she was having another boy!!!
Thanks for bringing that over, Cindy.
Wonderful news indeed! She'd have a living fairy for sure. Alexandra Evelyn.. that's a very romantic name.
The pomegranates she gave me are the tart variety. Of course I prefer the sweet ones. Can't you find them in your grocery store Susan?
I cut the fruits in half, then munch down on those ruby kernels.. seeds and all! Some would just spit out the seeds. Seeds are good fiber!
As for persimmons, it's hard to explain.
There are 3 kinds. The American, the wild ones and the Japanese.
The American are big and kind of peach shape without the fuzz. When ripe, they are orange, very sweet and custard like.
The wild ones are about 1/10th the size of the American. But these got to be ripe and soft before you eat them. If not, you'll have a nasty gummy taste in your mouth.
The Japanese are grafted with apple stock, to make them round but flat at the bottom. As soon as these turn color, but still firm, you can eat them like apples!
I used to have both American and wild in Louisiana, but a bad storm knocked down the American. My dogs would snack on the wild ones when they hit the ground. The nephews and nieces couldn't wait when it's persimmon time!
Here, I have a Japanese tree. Gave my church sister one too. We both prefer the Japanese variety.. less mess.
Will try to take a picture later so you could see the difference.
Up to feed the zoo.. I'm returning to bed after checking on the swap.
Did have a few hours of sleep. If I have the money, I'd sent Kel to a sleep disorder clinic first as his snoring can blow the roof off!!
Power prayer tonight, and again, I can't thank the Lord enough for all of you here. Catch you all later this afternoon!!
Hey Cookie!!
With all that experience with Jonathan, Stacey would now be a pro with the second one.. and more patient.. I'm sure!
Morning everyone! I saw the news on facebook about Stacey, she sounds really excited! And what a lovely name too! I bet Janice is excited to have another Granddaughter on the way?
Jaye, make sure you get a nap in today!
I love the name Stacy chose - Alexandra Evelyn! My eldest sister is Evelyn........
Jaye - we have ALL kinds of fruit in our grocery store - and I've seen persimmons, etc, just never bought them. Shall do some at a more $$ time......
Just about to go into a Webinar: CareerClass: Get the Right Career Right Now!
Cya later.......
Enjoy your class Susan.
I did enjoy it - it's from Career Joy, a motivational site created by Alan Kearns.
Quite often I'm too "down" to even read his weekly motivational emails, but this time I did, and glad of it.
I just had a wee chat with a friend that I go to Bible Study and am in Choir with. On Friday I'm going to take her to her eye Dr in case she has eye drops and cannot drive home. She's going to take me out for lunch afterwards. We had quite a talk about my last job, my mom, and other things and we'll continue it on Friday. She's a very sweet Christian lady, and I enjoy her company.
Right now I need to get sewing!! I have some Round Robin items to do, and send out by the weekend!!!
No, LK, my daughter refers to our head gear as our elephant trunks. LOL
Jaye, Kim actually has very good teeth and this tooth didn't show up on the x-ray as bad as it was. It was infected when they got into the inside. She is sleeping now, thank you pain meds, and we will determine later is she can work tomorrow. I know it must be bad as she tolerates pain more than I can.
My follow up check up was fine. Can you spell "r e l i e f?"
So good Kim's resting - yes, some people have a higher threshold for pain, and that would be why my Bob doesn't understand my pain.......
SO SO SO glad your checkup was fine!!
hmmmmmm Betty is dreaming, and others have become Italian..... hence the hand-waving....... LOL
The French are known to speak with their hands..guess my nationality shows

So that would be Janice on the other side of the table, also gesturing wildly? lol
Yes, Janice must also be part French. Lol
