Had a message all typed up then went to look at pic of OTT lights and it went poof!!!!

I have one of the OTT lights that flip open.....I LOVE IT!!! Bought it about 15 years ago I think I paid $50 for it

Busy weekend...Taylor's soccer tournament.....they won all games so they are 6 won, 1 tied, no losses!!!!! and still 4 or 5 more games to go. Then to end of summer bash at Swabbie's on the River,place was packed, 3rd pic is me with two gfs. We were laughing our heads off cuz I had said "You two poked me with your boobs" they squished me so hard, lol. If you look to the right and up in the tree you can see the pirates. Lots of women have their pic taken with the pirate.

Had to take Amy to the vet....she had jumped up in my 4runner and somehow ripped her nail part way off, vet gave her some numbing medicine and yanked it off, she never made a noise. I know it hurt her all night last night because she was up and down constantly. Now it's much better but still have to keep an eye on it, have to wash her foot everytime she comes in from outside.

oh poor Amy........ I'm sure it does hurt!! She sounds like a very well behaved and gentle dog to have not protested when the nail was yanked out.......

Susan, you can ask Bob to make you a rotating mat. It's truly a must have for serious quilters.

LK, I know you'll make sure your dad stick to his diet. Perhaps you can help his legs/feet circulation by massaging them? I have diabetic neuropathy, a sistah sent me a Shiatsu feet massager and it helps with circulation in my feet. I constantly worry that one day, I'd step on something sharp and won't feel a thing.
Would you be extending your stay, or still planning to return in 5 days time? Blessed is your dad that he has wonderful daughters to look after him.

Sorry to learn of Amy's mishap, Cindy. Call the vet up and ask what OTC pain killer would help Amy. My old vet had told me never to give dogs aspirin, and I'd give Tylenol to them. Never killed any.. thank God. Now I learnt that I was lucky and that buffered baby aspirin is the best. Don't know who to believe!!!

Why am I still up? Waiting on painkillers to work. Suffering from acute pain in my right breast. I don't know when I pulled a muscle there, but when I lift my right arm or bend over, it hurts more!!

Sis Kathy, I killed time by watching the LSU game again. Still can't get over the win!! Lol!! Would you believe that Notre Dame is ranked high??? That school doesn't know what big boy football is!!

Jaye, you are just to funny!! I do live in a heavily treed lot but they do lose their leaves letting some sun through this time of year. Besides it doesn't take much sun and I turn red!! Odd being a native I know.

Saw my girls last night. There was a conference at school with the teachers so their Dad kept them and brought them by for a visit. Geez what a difference 4 weeks can make...Abbi is getting taller still and Catie- Beth is funnier. I had gone to a nursery yesterday and purchased some asters, dianthus, pansies and petunia for my containers. Naturally I bought more than enough so each girl was allowed to chose 3 plants each. Their mom called me last night to tell me they went and planted their plants even before she could get them to change from their school uniforms. Insert huge grin...........

Busy morning so I had better go. Yardman is due at 9 and boy do I have a list of things to do...right after all the limbs have been picked up.

You can buy the turntable 'guts' at most of the building supply shops, perhaps he even has one
then cut plywood or similar same size as the mat you have, gue to the wood surface and voila a rotating matt

We have a turntable that was to go on a dining table but was sold seperately, on the underside of our coffee table. Of course I won't use it for a rotating mat, but I think I'll wait for creating one until I have a job and purchases like that are do-able.

Well, our new service provider just called and they're coming to change over my TV/Internet/Phone.

funny you mention marbles.....hubs just asked me yesterday if I could make a little bag for him???? what for?? Marbles!! Momma is gonna be 85 in November, and he wants to send her a bag of marbles!!! so she can tell every one she Has all her marbles, see !! right here in this bag!!! too funny.
He said he is going to ask my sisters, nieces, the grands...to give him some, so that her marbles are "all in the family" she will absolutely LOVE it !!!

I think a bunch of mine have rolled away :( seems I am very dazed, and forgetful lately.

ok - I HAVE to have a rotating mat......... I really dislike walking around the table to make the cuts. This looks like it will take 1/3 of the time to do what I usually do....... Not, I repeat, NOT a gadget....... very useful tool!

Look at a thrift store or Goodwill for a lazy susan for tables.........they work and yes they are a very needed item.

Thunder, I think that is wonderful about the marbles!!! One year my Mom made a comment about the prices of food going up. She said if it continued she was going to get a tin beak and peck bugs with the chickens.......well Ross couldn't stop until he fashioned her a tin beak for her Christmas present. Funny thing, that was so many years ago and it is still sitting on a shelf in her bedroom. Guess we should be careful what we say around some people.

Betty my brick you gave me for Jessica's garden is in the fairy garden . its sits next to a large rock wtih a frog on it.
went for a walk in our woods today wth my faithful friend Lucy.
it was such a georgous day ..... it became spiritual.... the woods are yellow and orange tree's. we walked for an hr ! sat down for some time on a log too.
i swear Jess was with me. i could feel her !!! and she pushed my scarf and i swear it was a snake !! climbing off a branch ! cuz my scarf is dark colors LOL typical jess playing tricks on me ! SCARED ME CRAZY ROFLLLL i jumped ... then yelled at her LOL
i have tons of pics of my walk with jess and lucy ... but it will have to wait untl tonight
i need to go get some gummy spiders and a brick of carmel for apples. lets hope i don't eat them all before i get home LOL

Sue, not the memorial brick I sent, when we met up on Friday I gave cookie another bag for you seeing as you could not make the either gatherings.

Sue, I have fairies here according to my 2 GDs. Had some red mushrooms pop up in the yard and they said they were "fairy houses". They are positive they had moved to my yard. Their dad cut down their mushrooms down so the fairies had no place to live. The imagination of a child. So glad your walk was spiritual and healing too, I think.

We hada fantastic visit in Michigan! Good heavens, I love Bonners! OVERWHELMING, lol, spent lots of time looking and looking, eye darting from ceiling to floor. Of course seeing everyone again was just what I needed..lots of Armwraps and laughter!

Yesterday morning, Kel and I were still in bed around 10.
Loud knocks at the door woke us and the dogs up.
Kel wasn't happy as he thought it's a customer who couldn't read the sign that the shop doesn't open till 1.
Well, the knocks continue accompanied by a car horn. Kel got dressed and ready to speak his mind. In the meantime, I looked for my "piece" in case they're unfriendlies.
Didn't go outside, as I heard "FBI"!!!
Oh my!!! Now I'm truly worried!! Kel had apparently led the men away from the house as the conversation got muffled.
I peeked out and there were 3 guys. Recognised one of them to be the town's postmaster. He waved at me.. and I know all's well.. maybe they're doing an investigation as there had been a drug ring that's busted in Tabor City using locals addresses for receiving drugs just last month!
Soon after, the guys left.. in their own individual cars, mind you!!
Wow... never had that much vehicles at one time in the driveway!!
Kel walked in and told me to call up my sister as she had caused an international incident!!!!
Yep, you all read that right.
She had sent a box and as usual, any boxes she sent went through customs either in NY or Chicago.
That box was opened, retaped and then redirected to the post office in Raleigh.
At the distribution center, the box was "leaking" white powder which scared the worker.. and the supervisor thought it might be illegal substance like drugs or worse anthrax!!! So, he called the Postal Inspector who in turned called the FBI!!
The FBI checked into it, and was miffed that the powder leaked came from a slit package of powdered soup!!!! Blame that on the custom officer for not being careful with his box cutter!
Unfortunately, FBI had to follow procedure and make sure that the box was LEGALLY meant for us!!
The agent handed Kel his cell phone to talk to whosoever to confirm that he's expecting a package from Zi!!
Do you think they could have handed the box to me yesterday after all that trouble?? Nooo.
That agent brought the box to town.. but that box has to be delivered to my doorsteps by a postal worker!!! Lolol.. I got it today and yes, white powder everywhere!!! And it's from Coconut soup mix!!!
Lololol...

So unlike ID channel and detective shows.. that agent wasn't in a suit. Just short sleeves and blue pants in a Mitsubishi!!
I'm going to the post office tomorrow.. and I got my disguise ready!!
