(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No BBQ Jack or Annie!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That sounds pretty good!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

O, THEN I'LL HAVE TO GO HUNTING. how many you think we will need?
gots to go buy guinea and peacock feed, will talk to you soon, and finish discussing the menu

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh a few dozen at least!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

no problem, and are we having turnip greens or polk salad?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning sistahs!!
Sue mentioned something last night that would be great for a wedding banquet for guests that don't mind finger food! PIZZA!!! That would be a winner for sure!! I never seen pizza in any weddings, that will be the talk of Heather's wedding for sure :D

Okay.. no BBQ goats Sis!! Where LK is at, those Mexicans love goats, and that would be cheaper than pork and beef. Just suggesting!

Didn't wake up this morning thinking of Heather's fare.. but am hungry for pizza! Come on over Sue, I want some home made ones! Extra provolone and mozarella please!! Fresh basil will do, just a simple one. Kel would appreciate pepperonis.
Lol. I'm not a pizza fan, but if it's home made crust... that's to die for.
Now why do you yank that wiegyla (sp)? Give it time, it will grow into a beauty. They always look sickly when small.

If I were to own a "Go", it would be sitting in dust, for sure. The dies alone are costly. Anyway, what we make will be limited to the die sizes, right? That's a drawback for sure.

Got lots to do in town. Leaving you all with thoughts of love, and don't forget it's Power Prayer Wednesday!!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

pray the house i am looking to buy is a charm. leaving to go see it and take pics. in a minute. of course michael is out of town or i wouldn't be doing this. i just love surprising him when he comes home

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, I did not know your looking for a new home Kathy! Good luck with it! I love turnip greens with bacon!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I talked to my Sister last night, she took Dad in for some pre op test, before his angiogram on the 4th, one of the test was a chemical stress test, and once they hooked up the EKG machine, Kathy was informed that his heart was racing, (AFIB?) and they would not do the test! His blood pressure was only 88/52. Really low! So they told her to call the Dr. and get him in ASAP! So I am waiting to see what can be done for his racing heart, and the low blood pressure. He can not have any type of surgery where they put you under with these conditions. That means they can't remove the toe, and if they don't remove it, the bone infection will only spread and get worse. So we are in a catch 22 situation, Darned if you do, Darned if you do! This may be Gods way of saying not to do the surgery, but then what are we to do about the bone infection?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

OMG Linda. This has not been a good year for any of us... I'm keeping your Dad in my prayers and with His grace the answers will come. Please keep us posted okay?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I will. Thanks for the prayers!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dropping in with prayers as well!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

sending prayers to.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Prayers for all those in physical, emotional, and mental pain....... you're always in my heart, prayers and thoughts.......

Going to have lunch, then join Bob at the church. He couldn't get in touch with his boss, so no work today.

hoping all goes well with your dad.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Kathy, good luck on finding the perfect home with a big yard for you and your animals!

LK, this is one time, you and your family will have to just lean on Him. All is left is to make your dad comfy and pray like you always do.

Sorry, I didn't return to this and had gone off to bible class without knowing the latest on your dad. But for sure, I'll call my church sister up tomorrow and give her the latest.

Barb, any new news on Norm?

Did a lot today, trying to push myself into more activity.
So, I bid you all a good night, and I'll see you in the morning.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Copied from Betty's thread from Barb...

To bring you up to date with Norm, here is how yesterday went.
We had bad news and good news yesterday. The good news is that the melanoma is only in the windpipe - nowhere else. The bad news is that it cannot be removed-only try to shrink it with chemo and radiation. If they were to remove a piece of the windpipe, he would have his chin sutured to his chest so that he could not reaise his head and stretch the neck at all. It is a quality of life issue and Norm does not want that at all. They will do a laser broncoscopy to stop the bleeding and then we will meet with the oncology team to plan our attack. They want the broncoscopy done this week and we meet with the team next Wed. So we are taking things, one day at a time waiting for them to call with an operation time. So, If I don't post often, it's because we are busy. I always follow along even I can't post...
Again I tell you all how grateful I am for your concern and your prayers. That mean the world to both of us...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sending early morning prayers for all in need. Few warm hugs wouldn't hurt either.

sending healing energy to Norm and Barb.
good morning
well rain is here today and so i m making it an inside day
may watch a movie ?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you so much for the latest episode with Norm. Barb, if you're reading this, like Betty here, I'm sending tight hugs to you both.
God is still in the business of healing.

Good morning sistahs. No rain expected here Sue, low 80s and less roaches!

Anyone watch Top Chef Masters final last night? My fav. chef won last night serving offals!! I've always love weird stuffs that most folks would not touch. He served 4 dishes with offals in them!! One was beef heart tartare, another tripe cooked rustic Italian and another was blood sausage.
It's hard to find blood sausage here, unlike Louisiana. That is soooo good. Got to try cooking tripe in tomato sauce.

Sistah Judy, if you're lurking, I'm following PR this year. Not too excited with the contestants they have, but the judges are much more 'sane', must be the complaints they'd been having.

Monday's NFL debacle has brought an earlier meeting with the referees and the owners last night. Who knows, I might watch a game tonight IF the legit refs. return! Lol!!

Kel was supposed to attend to his honey-do list today as he's off. MIL woke him up @ 7 telling him that he had to bring FIL to the doctor. She said, she had forgotten to let him know.
I'm not in the least upset. Kel has to learn to react in a different manner.
For calling him a useless son, he sure is mighty convenient to them.

Time for me to get busy inside and outside. Got to haul some pots and bring them closer to their winter home.
Have a perfect day sistahs.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Does Kel tell them when he has a day off? What happens if he gets called into work?

They just announced that the pro football refs are back to work!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, Kel's work schedule is predictable. MIL keeps track of it.
It happened more than once when he had to take care of FIL's, scheduled appts. on the working nights. Kel had to close the appliance shop so he could get some sleep after the doctors.
Kel did say no, when he had exams OOT (state ordered) and she's forced to cancel.

Lord knows why she hates herself so much. I believe that you must learn to love yourself, to respect others.

I know, this has been going on so long. That's the reason why Kel and I had to leave so early at BJ's sistahs gathering!!! Kel has been programmed to not fight his mother :(
MIL can't verbally abuse me anymore, but she's hard pressed to get rid of me thru' life with Kel.

Life with ex was miserable, but the in-laws were wonderful!!
Tis the reverse here. But God is good, he doesn't let the wicked go unpunished.
For each misery she laid on Kel, there's always something happening to her or FIL. She just doesn't understand that if you intentionally hurt someone, God will trip you!

I thank God, I have very understanding sistahs here that know I love Kel.

Some people are not happy unless they are making someone else miserable! Pretty sad they think that way, but they do, if I am not happy then neither are you!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

These are the coloring book totes I'm making for the cancer center. Aren't they cute?

Jaye - God is taking care of you. Before, you had someone you couldn't live with, and those you didn't live with were nice. NOW you have someone you Can live with, and that's a daily/every hour thing.......things are better for you, obviously!!
Bless you, dear Jaye.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Barb, those are so cute! Love them! Those kids will be so happy when they get them!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

They are adorable, Barb!!
Keeping you and Norm in my prayers, dear lady!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks ladies. They are sooo easy to make LK. I'll try to write out the directions for you - my friend and I winged it on these. But I think they make great things for the little ones....

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

LK & Barb, keeping you both in my prayers

Doug's mom has a boyfriend....she may be moving in with him, lol. She is such a cougar, lol. Anyhow if she does and it turns out we can't stay here we will be moving into her mobile home, but if it turns out we can stay here not sure what we will do, lol. May let Doug's step-sister rent one from us. The mobile would be better as far as parking for motorcycles, but this house is better as far as a yard for the dogs, sigh what to do, what to???

We left yesterday morning around 9ish and drove to Carson City, to get LiL Sporty, got home about 5:30 last night. I-80 going up is a ok, but to come back down it is AWFUL so much constuction, un-even road and divided hwy. so we took the long way around, come back down Hwy 50, what a beautiful ride/drive. As we cameinto South Lake Tahoe, the veiw of Lake Tahoe was gorgeous!! 3 different shades of blue, close to inland was a greenish blue, then farther out was like a swimming pool blue, then out in the deepest part a dark blue...and I didn't have my camera grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Doug gave LiL Sporty his parking space on the sidewalk..............hopefully the motorhome and broken down truck will be gone soon so we can put up some kind of shelter for the bikes. Tokk a close up of tank in the sunlight so you could see true color.

Have ten candles to get done...donated for a Charity ride that one of Sheri's friends is putting on Oct 6th so I must get my buns in gear............

Glad to hear you had a nice ride! The scenery sounds beautiful! Love that bike! Just your color!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Glad the ride went well- I agree grrrr on no camera!!
What a beautiful coloured bike!! (my fav, doncha know?!)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

The pictures make it look more purple than red. It's really a dark red with flakes. BOY!!!! what a vibration, lol ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Barb I saw those @ the other building! You're certainly an angel to use your time to make something positive for the kids. Bless you, for bringing smiles to some lucky patients.

Hmm.. me, I'll take the yard, Cindy. Later you could make a secure shelter for the bikes. They won't take that much space. Unless the yard is postage stamp size, then you might have to pull out a lot of plants!! :D
Good to know your ride went well. I've seen pictures of Lake Tahoe. Another on my bucket list.
Cindy, you called Doug's mom a cougar. None of my business, but how young is her boy friend? Curious here!

Thanks for the head up, Susan. Needed that validation that all will be well and the only thing that matters is love between spouses.

You're right LK. She ain't happy so no one should be. So far, MIL thought that I'm miserable being cut off from family and friends. Little does she knows that there's the internet, phone line and the football season! Oh yes, my cats too.

Yay for real referees tonight!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(((((((((Jaye)))))))))) It WILL get better all the time for you, I just Know it!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL um Jaye he is in his 60's she is 76, lol She has this glow about her that is wonderful.....she can't stop smiling. She is at his place right now...He lives in Fallon NV

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is not too bad Cindy, as long as they are happy. My Grandmother was 76 when she started dating a guy that was 40. They finally lived together for 12 years before she passed away.
