Still here at my mom's but getting ready to head home. Have some pictures to share. Started re-planting Lily garden, holy cow wait until you see the size of this one bulb I dug up.

What are your gas prices???? We are at $4.65, and it will go as high as $4.85 then it's suppose to go back down. I put $40 in and did not even get 1/2 a tank ouch! So you know I won't be going many places over the next few days, lol.

Ok need to get ready, I'm meeting a friend for lunch before I go home. She was able to add me and my daughter to her Sam's club membership for only $17.50 for one year, nice ^_^. She worked for the state and has all kinds of nice benefits ^_^. We have been friends since the 4th grade and her cousin is my daughter's father.

Gas here is $3.49. Sure hope your prices go back down soon! Enjoy your lunch, and can't wait to see your huge bulb.

I think it is only here in California that the price of gas is so very high. I hope we have enough petro in our vehicles to last until the prices comes down. Have a couple doctor appointments coming up and a big shopping day at Costco. Wish they were all within walking distance now.

The weather person said we might get some rain next week. I sure hope they are right.

Had Eggs Benedict for lunch, yum yum. I had been craving it and asked Doug. But he said he didn't like making the hollendase sauce, too hard :( But anyhooo, had a good time chatting with my gf. We then went to Sam's club and she signed my daughter and I up on her account. cost me $17.50 a year. Thought I'd check out some things while there. My mom is secretary for two bowling leagues, and prints out a lot of standing sheets, recap sheets, etc for both leauges. She has a copy machine and has been paying $96 for toner, Sam's club $69 dog food 50 lbs $21, I have been paying $14 for 15.5 lb every two weeks, also got a container to hold the whole bag of dog food for $21, has two scoopers, flip lid, and wheels so nice.........

While up at mom's I was checking on this female fish, she has not laid her eggs yet. I caught her and looked her over to see if maybe it could be something elso going on with her. Poor thing her belly is strecthed so thin you can see the eggs. I don't know what to do for her. Are their fish vets, lol???? Then I also noticed this other fish swimming funny. Well he is deformed, something happen to his tail just before the fins. He's crooked and swims head down, but is doing ok. So I took both of them and put them into a wine barrel where we can check on them easier.You can see the both of them in the big pond.

Boy am I out of shape when it comes to yard work, Friday I hurt so bad all over, lol. I put Solanopas, bottom of right foot, both knees, two on my lower back and both hands, lol. Boy did I smell pretty, ^_^. I went to bed at 8:30 because it hurt to bad to sit up and watch tv. My mom was pooped too, lol. She loves doing yard work but tires really easy (she's 85) and can't handle the heat . It was all we could do to get out of bed Saturday morning and get ready for Taylor's 9 am soccer game, ugh. Was a good game they won 2-1. Next Saturday, she has a tournament 3 games. But a 2 1/2 hour break between 2nd and 3rd game, so we are going to pack a picnic lunch and chillax.......

I think most of you remember seeing pic of the Oriental Lilies "Trumpator" that were over 6 feet tall, well this is the bulb from the tallest one. Transplanting lilies from there (pic 3) to here (pic 4)..............

I think the reason our gas prices are so high is because of the oil refinery in Richmond caught on fire. We received 25% of our fuel from them. We are suppose to get rain late Monday night into early Tues am, I think it will be just enough to make a mess on my dirty 4runner, lol

We were at 3.65 on gas when you asked the question, but now we're at 3.79, and of course I'm sitting with an empty tank! Think I'll try to wait a couple days to fill up. Probably up because of the holiday. I hate it when they do that.

Joyce, they are goldfish, and laying eggs is a spring/summer (April - August) thing here too. I am totally puzzled as to why she has not laid them.

Made a trip to the post office today then we stopped at Wendy's for a quick bite.
So disappointing, as their chilli was so watered down, that it's more like soup. That will be the last time Kel will order that. And get this, the price went up!
Thank God I had the promotional portabella, mushroom burger. Could only eat half. Kel happily ate the rest.

It's getting cold here, I'm not anxious to bring the plants in. Back can't handle those pots and Kel's been busy bringing his father to the doctors.
Hope it stays at this temps for another week.

Our temps are in the 70's...I love it, but it's already cold for Doug he has his little heater out and sitting right smack in front of him, ugh. I told him to put more clothes on that it's not that cold. But because his bones don't hold heat he gets cold really easy


Here's a little funny to read.......................

A woman goes into Discount Fishing Supplies to buy a rod and reel for her grandson's birthday.

She doesn't know which one to get, so she just picks one and goes over to the counter.

The salesman is standing there, wearing dark shades.




She says, "Excuse me. Can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?"

He says, "Madam, I'm completely blind; but if you'll drop it on the counter,

I can tell you everything you need to know about it from the sound it makes."

She doesn't believe him but drops it on the counter anyway.

He says, "That's a six-foot Shakespeare graphite rod with a Zebco 404 reel and 10-lb..Test line. It's a good all around combination, and it's actually on sale this week for $44."

She says, "That's amazing that you can tell all that, just by the sound of it dropping on the counter. I'll take it!"

As she opens her purse, her credit card drops on the floor.

"Oh, that sounds like a Visa card," he says.

As the lady bends down to pick up the card, she accidentally farts..

At first she's really embarrassed, but then realises there is no way

the blind salesman would tell exactly who had farted.

The man rings up the sale and says, "That'll be $58.50 please."

The woman is totally confused by this and asks,

"Didn't you tell me it was on sale for $44. How did you get $58.50?"

"The Duck Caller is $11, and the Fish Bait is $3.50."

IT WAS 45 HERE THIS MORNING. YESTERDAY IT DID NOT GET ABOVE 63. TURNED MY HEAT ON LAST NITE. THATS NOT ME. MIKE USUALLY HAS TO BEG IN NOV. TO TURN THE HEAT ON. DAUGHTER AND GRANDSON MOVED BACK IN THIS WEEKEND. NOW I HAVE 3 CARS TO PUT GAS IN.

The cheapest on gas is actually the box truck. But so awkward to maneuver it around, and parking is horrendous!
Won't be turning on the heater unless it drops to 40!! Kel and I have a lot of insulation!
