Geaux Geaux Tigers!!
LOL, there is just something about me and gator tail that doesn't agree.
THE ARK WOULD BE PERFECT.
NO RAISONS FOR ME, BUT WILL TAKE A FEW POUNDS OF GATOR MEAT
Memo to all: Who has the ark? Send to Kathy.
Okay, we can skip the raisins and you can have all the Gator meat you want my dear.
Think some sistah chopped that ark down for firewood!!
Well Jaye........ had a bit of a "scare" yesterday. I'm fine.
I was grocery shopping yesterday, and felt pains in my arm, both sides of my jaw, front and back chest both sides (alternating) and sat down next to the pharmacy. I was there for over 20 minutes and the pharmacist sat locked in her area, and no one stopped. I didn't feel well enough to call out, and waited until I could get up - walking about 1/2 speed. I understand that the pharmacist couldn't come out of her area, but several customers and a clerk walked by and no one said anything. I wasn't sobbing, but tears were running down my cheeks.... I was so hurting....... I suppose everyone thought I had gotten bad news and they couldn't do anything. likely embarassed them.
I couldn't even call out, I was so tired (had 11 hours sleep the night before, so it wasn't that). Anyway, I waited, then went home. Bob was up on the roof, so I couldn't phone him - he left his phone inside.
As I said, I'm fine now, but it was terrifying......
about a year ago I had a similar issue and it was gas. It was gas again yesterday. I had my heart checked, and then later a stress test - heart was fine. I suspect it's the same this time, cuz 2 hours later I *burped* and kept on for about 2 hours...... guess I was stressed and took in a lot of air.
Oh Susan, what food did you take to make you retain that much gas? You may have bad acid reflux too, if your chest hurts.
When I see someone acting in distress, being a busybody, I'd normally ask. But you're right, it's the norm for most people to just walk away.
Glad you're okay sistah.
I'm not telling Kel this for he'd be very happy to be saying over and over again that farting is good for your healt!!
Susan, those may be symptoms of something more severe, please have it checked out?
This wasn't food related, Jaye
I think I was just breathing so hard and fast that I swallowed air.
Just now I had a shooting pain up my right leg.
I called the Dr and made an app't for tomorrow at 10 min to noon. My neighbour is going to give me a ride and pick me up afterwards.
Except for my healing sprained knee on the left leg, I don't get pains in my legs and this was my right.
I can't wait to hear from the Dr tomorrow. If necessary, I can get my neighbour, Bud, to drop me off at the hospital afterwards, tomorrow. likely wouldn't finish until Bob gets home from work lol
Hello Ladies,
Had my first riding lesson......I know one thing I'm going to have to have surgery on my left hand for the arthritis that is in my thumb and wrist joint, holding the clutch is very painfull. Only thing is, don't know how long it will take it to be completely healed, had so much trouble with my right hand
I'm not sure if I mentioned my predicament involving me getting a new hearing aid. With the insurance coverage I have now the company only pays $100 towards a hearing aid. Mine cost $1800, ugh.........so I was going to use Medi-Cal because they will pay $1501 towards a hearing aid, but I have to come up with $695 share of cost (California sucks sometimes) Even with Medi-Cal paying $1501 towards hearing aid I would still have to pay at $300, so I am looking at $995 for a hearing aid. Well, got new insurance notice of what my insurance pays for 2013...............whoo hoo new hearing aid company and only a $150 co-pay but won't take affect until Jan, but that is ok I can live another 3 months with this screechie hearing aid ^_^ I may even get one for left ear..............
Susan, hope the "scare" doesn't return. May it be gas!
Good news there Cindy. Thank God for it's not only one company that offer hearing aids via Medi Cal. I'm glad you'll be able to get it at a much lower cost.
Now you have to concentrate on strengthening her thumb and wrist, to endure your riding. Get you a squeeze stress ball!
My ex has two hearing aids, and still can't hear!!
Good for you, Cindy!
Jaye - this has been going on in different forms for 2 months now. I'll let you know what the Dr says.
Cindy, that is great news on the new insurance.
Medicare is the same here, dad has to have hearing aids, and they are about $1200.00 a piece, and Medicare covers $100.00 for each every 5 years. Pretty sad!
Wow!!!
Didn't know Medicare wouldn't help much.
Ex get his through VA. Didn't cost him anything, LK. But lately he's been saying that VA's been raising their deductibles.
Yeah, medicare sucks for some things!
Just got a message from Synda on facebook, she is going to have her surgery on Wed. Please keep her in your prayers? Thanks!
Prayers for Synda......... I have faith that she will be ok
Susan, I am very relieved that you will be going to the Dr. tomorrow.
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready! Hot sweet orange rolls to go with it!
Funniest thing last night.................we have Comcast/Xfinity and all of our stuff is bundled (internet, tv and phone). So we have caller ID and it pops up on the tv.....well last night I was in the bedroom watching tv and we get a call from Linda Kay................I thought how the heck did LK get this number, lol but then I got a quick glimps at the phone number and noticed area code........duh!!! It was a wrong number.......
Going to have my second lesson today, see if I can do it a little better. I told Doug this is going to be a long process..................
lol Cindy - that's too funny.........another Linda Kay?!?! her clone maybe? LOL
3 hours until I start the wait in the Dr's waiting room lol
Cindy, I was thinking of you last night, learning how to ride your new toy! Maybe it was sending a message?
Oh my.... Cindy! You can always call LK just to chit chat! If not for those area codes, I get confused too!
Don't give up on strengthening your thumb muscle! You'll be the hit of the town with your sexy sporty!
Thanks for posting that LK. Yes, Synda needs our prayers for an easy recovery too. Think Rick needs prayers too!
Praying for nothing serious Susan. Let it be just gas!
cya after the Dr's app't - 1/2 hour.
I'd love a Bailey's right about now LK. Thanks. That looks so inviting.....Great job.
ok - back from the Dr, and he says "no heart problems". He thinks it's just a pulled muscle or something, and I know it's not that (stabbing pains in my head, chest, arm and leg?). He's going to get me an appointment with a cardiologist because of my insistence. They will call me when they have a date/time.
I'm feeling fine now - a bit of pressure though I think it may be stress related.
lindaKay, so hoping I get a bit ambitious and get out fall decor..table cloth is very festive.Love the painted pumpkins, real or artificial?? Look at that pot scarecrow, too adorable!
Lordy, I've a 5' scarecrow I cut, painted last year and decided not to put him out until this year..if I soon don't get him together he'll not go out again this year..think I shall go look for his parts..
Off for a scarecrow hunt..sooo sure he's finished but watch if I didn't. Lol
Off to look for Mr Scarecrow
Saying a few prayers for Synda too. Pray all goes well. Susan I hope there is nothing wrong except gas. I know that gas can travel through your body and built up gas can make you so miserable.
I'd love to join you for tea LK. I'll have my baileys before the tea please.
I still don't see how "gas" can cause shooting pains in my leg, nor my head.
very nice LK, what type of surgery is Synda having??? prayers for her and rick.
Susan, it all seems very strange to me??? maybe you should talk to another Dr.????
Thunder - that's why I insisted it was different than a muscle pull. I've torn a muscle in my rib area before and know what that's like.
Because of this he's ordered an app't with a cardiologist. I'll get a call from either his or the cardiologist's office to let me know of date/time.
The pumpkins are the foam craft ones, that I painted with tulip fabric paint, just squirt it out of the bottle into the designs you want. Pretty easy to do! I made the scarecrow out of small terracotta pots.
Close up of the pumpkins, just don't look too close at the squiggly lines, these old hands are not a steady as they use to be! The large orange one has glow in the dark paint on it, and it really looks nice in the dark!
very kewl!!
