These feel more than 10 pounds under my neck. Older I get, these point East and West when I lay down.. and definitely South when upright!!

Mornimg, sky was dark, started to rain, got what 30 drops and now sunshine. Damp and cool, actually shut windows and doors and have the fireplace on to take away the chill in the air.

Jaye' often when travelling south if before the snow fall I would head down the east coast, loved stopping at South of the Border Mexican line they built as you cross from North Carolina and South Carolina..then loved the Pottery Barn which were few in those days, believe it was just outside of town. Wish I could go shopping with you.

Today Bob is home......again - spending $$ on the home, with no income this week...... ah well, God has blessed me with a husband who can fix our home, so it's all good.
Went to Bible Study yesterday, watered the failing plants in my care (guess I hadn't "been there" for 2 months worth of watering, and the plants suffered........ oh well, back on track now I guess. One of the trees will need to get hidden somewhere to recover........
Yesterday afternoon swept up the dead leaves and (gasp) dead flies that seem to have re-emerged and were all over the floor....... Going to have to use Dr. Doom again, on the windows and baseboards. Seems to get rid of them. Don't know where the nest is, but they're not breeding in the plant soil - that's been confirmed by our Garden Center. People here Will leave the side door open as it's Convenient to not use the front door and steps......

Last night went to our 1st choir practice of the year. It went well, and we sing on Sunday.

Right now I'm set to clean the den out of sewing stuff and bookcase so Bob can work on it. Don't know if I should clean/vacuum the room as it will get messy again with building debris, but I will feel better for having room to move and see the clean room (a bit cleaner, anyway). We still have debris coming through the bulkhead which Bob is going to take out, out, out! It's opened up and the rotted wood is still breaking up. He's on the room building the roof up, and the extension (tied into each other. Hopefully he'll get to the landfill soon and remove the pile of debris outside (lumber, sheets of ply, shingles, etc.) I just want the garbage GONE and my ability to sew back.......

Still looking for my embroidery transfer book......it's disappeared and I don't know where......I've been asking anyone if I'd lent it to them, but no luck there........

i need surgery. i have severe compression on my nerves due to spine deterioration.
that all has to wait as i see the pulmanary surgeon tuesday about the lesion that was found on the top of my right lung.

Kathy - hopefully your surgeon's visit will give you some answers you want to hear, and you can move forward on a solution for your compressed nerves.....

Betty, you won't be missing out on anything!! Only reason for the trip to MB is the usual... accompanying Kel on his appliances' pick up. It's normally one stop but I've been hankering for O'Neal Gears' latest book!! It's all Sistah Judy's fault. She got me hooked on their series!
Let's save up for a fabric shopping spree in Florida next year!! Lots of QS there! Marion will be the perfect guide!

We took it with us 2 weeks ago when we went camping, and Bob tried to help me learn, but I fell a couple of times (didn't hurt myself) and it unnerved Bob so he said "just sell the bike!!". He tried to get back on track and apologized, but by then I was feeling unnerved.

Well... didn't get a book.. but did find some quilting mags that are not on my subscription list @ B&N. Kel waited in the box truck with Lola, so I managed to enjoy some quiet moments there. That man if were with me, he'd be constantly asking my opinion on mags or books he'd picked!
I wish the store has more seats... those hard benches are killing my back!!

well i m haveing to move chickens around. i have a little hen that needs some fertile eggs to sit on. We are also getting ready to sell some animals.
the two blue silkie chickens are useless ! that roo don't know what to do with the girls !! so he is a seller.
have to downsize some laying hens also so i m deciding wich ones to get rid of

Need prayers for my Dad please? He has developed a sore on his toes of his paralyzed foot from a bone infection, and they will not heal,,due to no circulation. The Dr. wants to amputate at least the toe, if not the foot or more, and if that happens he will be in a nursing home, for treatment. Dr. Does not know if that will help, even if they take the foot or leg. So it may be just a matter of time, before we lose him.

How terrified you must be, am sending hugs for you along with the prayers for your dad!

Oh LK, I'm sorry to hear that. That is what happened to my father in law, he passed away a couple of months after they amputated his foot.

Been real sick with the flu this past week. Still not up to par but at least I'm out of bed. Been 25 years since I had the flu for the very first time. Doug was a very good nurse but real bossy about eating and taking meds, lol. Need to go rest again

I went to our Heritage Village annual Fruit & Veggie sale....... $8 for 50 lbs of russet potatoes, and $10 for 25lbs of tomatoes, $6 for 12 ears of corn....... etc. By the time I loaded 140 lbs (or more) on my little cart and hooked the bags on, I was walking the pathway UpHill, and it was quite the job I'll tell ya!! I got a cauliflower and some Mandarins, 2 packages of mushrooms ($1 each).......
anyway, they Had cucumbers, but after I unloaded to my car and went back....... they were all out!! So, I'm going to my local warehouse and see if they have any cukes. Gotta make my green relish!

Well if I sent the rain to Betty, then I forgot to send all of it. It was raining when I got up this morning and hasn't stopped yet. Some really hard down pours with thunder and lightening.

Went to a birthday party for our great-grandson yesterday. Seth was 4 and such a happy kid. He got so many great presents and of course his 3 yr. old sister had to help him. It was so hot there, 97, but nice in the house where they had the air going. Wish I could have brought some of it home. When we first arrived Seth come running and jumped into my arms, wow, good thing I had the car door open and was leaning against it or we both would have fallen to the ground. I'm just too old for this kind of games. Back is a little sore today, but I sure enjoyed that hug.

I'm so waiting for cooler days, they can't come too soon.
