Sweet Interruptions # 246

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Mine did the same thing Friday! I could not use it as debit, but it worked with credit! Wonder what was going on???

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan our cards can be used for either, but the funds are taken from your account, so if you want to buy, (say a new fridge) If you used it as either debit or credit, you need to have the funds in your account. Like a pre paid credit card.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wow, what a coincidence. We're not the only one? Apparently, our banks.. LK.. Marion's sister.. have a common clearing house!

LK, all our funds in the checking acct. that our debit card draw from were gone.. not only the paycheck for the month!!

Yep, we weren't the only irate customers! You should see the line at the bank waiting to see an officer!
The poor VP that helped us, told us that she was harrassed at home too.
She explained that all direct deposits that disappeared on Saturday was due to a flawed program/clearing house the new owner was trying out.
That means those SS recipients couldn't access their money neither Saturday!!

Our debit card is strictly for that. Kel doesn't carry a credit card, I do.
Susan, it's safer this way as Kel doesn't keep track of his purchases!

Marion, I think that's an excellent idea that we start saving our pennies towards a probable Kathy's Bail Fund!! Lolol!!
Sis Kathy.. they don't feed you good in jail! So think twice before you hit someone!

Synda's surgery may be postponed as she's running a fever today.

Kathy ahem....... 5-1-5-0 somebody call the popo..... hehehehehee. I will think of you when i hear that song lol :) there is a special fund in our account for me . I m not a social acceptable person. I got kicked out of Dairy Queen LOL ..... that lady was lucky !
you all have been so busy .
wow where did i go ?
Tim came home to visit this weekend. He got 2 days off. it was nice.
lots of rain here from the Isaac left overs.
started new job at apple orchard. The angry mean girl is not working this year... there is a God ! :) but we are pretty stressed about labor . IT looks like it may just be the 3 of us ?
apple season will be a bad one. The drought has dropped more apples to the ground then in the tree's. :( what a bummer.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Not you Sue!!! You're so calm, collected and poised! I can't believe DQ threw you out. What? Is it over a bad cherry on your ice cream?
That's wonderful that you get to see Tim. Bet the kids were all over him.
Wonder if you could make apple moonshine?

LOL i know right ! LOL well we do make a drink with Ever Clear called Apple Pie. I don't recommend it :P

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ever Clear, Sue? That's certainly a volatile liquid drank by itself!! Where I used to work, when the mechanics get together for football, they'll be having Ever Clear and Kool Aid! Surprisingly, they're still able to be technically productive at work the following morning... just their social interactive skills somehow's "unlearned" for the first 4 hours!!

Morning sistahs. Since most of my day will end up being on the road, I might as well have an early start, and try to do some housework.
The sign of 'normalcy' is a messy house 'cos I'm back to sewing! Lol!

WW3 happened in our house last night. Kel and I are supporting opposing presidential candidates. So to keep the peace, I have not turned on anything that might upset him nor talk politics. In fact I avoid the media totally!
But his parents and him are staunch supporters, and he'd be catching up all the news with them on their tv, daily.
Last night, he ignored our pact, and turned on that particular channel.
His intention was to 'enlighten' me on political truth!! To me, he's clearly disrecpecting me. I'm entitled to my opinion, and I'm not an idiot.
The only truth in any politics is when those ads say "I support this message"!!!
SO... I blasted the tv when a certain special came up. He knew it's the first time I've ever done that. Got into a huge argument, and you all got the picture :D
This morning, he sure was a grouch from having to sleep on the recliner all night!!! I told him that I hope he got wet dreams with that particular candidate!!

Have a good and Godly Wednesday, sistahs!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Jaye, sorry to hear about your argument about politics! Not easy living in the same home when you each think the other one should win!

good morning
off and picking apples today
kids have a fog delay not very good timeing

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

marion, thanks for the thought, but michael really does have bail money put away for mr and my daughter. he did that when i shot the neighbors truck! the po po came that day to.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Kathy, what ever are we gonna do with you? LOL Still would hurt for us sistahs to have some ready too.

I am sure there is a story behind shooting the neighbor's truck.......do tell.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all..

Sunshine day in my neck of the woods..
Jaye, religion and politics, never a good mix! Hope Kel brings you flowers tonight.

Kathy...no words, only OMG

Sue, with shortage of staff sure hope you don't overwork..with apples being at a premium are you sure you might not be done by Oct. 12th to hitch a ride with Joyce??? sure wish you could.

Brought all the supplies I need to cut out wallets out of fabric to match the tote bags I just made for Christmas...yesterday my work day at the office was get seed from hollyhocks and bag for friends, today cutting of the wallets..my hand really should shake when I get my paychecks on Thrusdays..

Last week BIL Paul (boss) found pins in the carpet, told the client he was with that he's lucky he doesn't find sewing machines set up..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Yes Kathy........ do tell.............

Betty - that's funny! Sewing machines, AND a craft table........ good thing there's no glue in the carpet LOL

Sue - don't overwork, please!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

story is, neighbors dogs were trying to get my peacocks. i went out with a deer rifle and shot at them. i missed they started down the driveway, i shot again and missed. few minutes later the sherrif came and asked me if i had been shooting. i said yes, he said i blew a hole in the dogs owners truck! said the guy wasnt pressing charges if i paid for it. when michael came home(daughter called him, he rushed home) he paid the guy $1,500.
end of story
forgot to say, one of he dogs was hit and killed by a car 2 days later

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

$1500?? yikes......
too bad the dog got killed later, but it sounds like the owner was one of those "irresponsible owners" you hear about far too often.....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

All States should have a strict leash law, or make them keep the dogs in the fenced yard!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

our state does, some people just dont care

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Did they get into trouble for letting their dogs loose?

This is Dylan playing on the floor! And MaryAnne playing dress up! Dylan weighs 22 pounds at 5 months old, he is wearing size 18 months in clothes, and probably should be in size 24 months.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

they are adorable

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

LK - MaryAnn looks like an angel with her wings..... so serious about playing dressup!
Dylan's about my son's size at that age..... He was 9lbs11oz when he was born, and about 21" long. He kept gaining until he was 7 mo old, then thinned out a lot. He's 5'10, and about 150 lbs....... the last I saw of him that is....a toothpick lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Same with my boys, Andy weighed 9 lbs. 4 ounces, and is now 6' 5". And weighs maybe 150!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

lol LK - that's funny, eh?!

well i got to work and guess who is there.... Ms. Grumpy pants... its going to be a loooong apple season. Uhg she is a grizzly before 11 am ! and she is mean.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

After the year you have had Sue, you should be tough enough to let her know where the dog died and to leave you alone!! Just let her think you are one hair short of going crazy from all you have been through. Bet she won't bother you any more!!!!! And if she does give it right back to her.

LOL i think your right Barb. speaking of crazy ... :) i found a cute little thingy. its a small sign with witche's feet attached to it and it says. " when i snap, you will be the first to go " LOL it was a must have. i may have to bring it to work with me LOL ..... and your little dog too !! hehehehehe
well another day at the orchard. My body is feeling it ! i may be on the couch this weekend.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sue, remember that idiots are placed on this earth to remind us NOT what to be!! Lol!!

Running late this morning.. but wanting to wish Barb dear, a very Happy Birthday!! How about a patchwork cake for our quilting queen sistah!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Happy Birthday Barb, omg just love the quilt cake! You are quite the baker Jaye

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sending birthday wishes with all the others Barb.

Jaye, you have been hiding you talents as a cake decorator.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Happy Birthday, Barb!!!!!!!!

Heading out to Bible Study this am - chat later.

Ha! You all don't know I'm a cake expert? I had to study to be one. Heard of the School of Copy and Paste? It's offered online! Lol!!

Barb, enjoy your evening! Hope Norm treats you real good!

Synda gave me permission to let you know about the surgery.
Doctors had found a lump in her breast (non cancerous), so that is supposed to be removed. The proverbial killing 2 birds with one stone here, she would also be getting a breast reduction. This will help alleviate her back problems tremendously.
She'd let me know the reschedule date.

I can't tell you what Kel thought about this! Men shouldn't have any opinions on anything!!!! If I could do so, I'd have my breasts reduced too!! I sure look like an inverted triangle. Anytime now, I'd be toppling over in public.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

If men only knew how many back problems, and headaches are caused by breast-heavy chests...... my sister had a breast reduction years ago, and it helped her headaches...........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Indeed Susan! If we live on the moon, then we shouldn't worry about the pitfalls of gravity!!

Ooops, Sis Kathy.. sorry.. didn't mean to ignore you. Was writing in a hurry.
Are you sure that neighbor of yours isn't an Auburn fan?

just came back from a fun night .
St Paris has its Pony Wagon Parade. I meet up with my GF and her new little baby. kids had fun ! we walked a lot ! uhg my feet hurt
Hooray for Synday and no cancer and booby go bye bye oh what joy she will feel. i sure wish i could do mine ! wishing her healing thoughts and a quick recovery too

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Happy to know the lump is benign......go for the reduction. Ah humm, now why would I say that......I think I was in the group that when God said "breast" I mistook it for "test" and ran the other way.

Good night all....trying to go to bed a little earlier than normal.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Sorry I'm late for your birthday, Barb, hope you had a very nice dinner.

When I was younger I wish I had great boobs, but now knowing what gravity does and boobs did get bigger, along with the rest of my body, I'm glad I wasn't so endowed. Had an older friend who wished she could have both of them removed, which horrified her son, but she said how would you like to have 2-5lb. bags of sugar hanging around your neck!. She never did tell me what his answer was. LOL

Went to Habitat for Humanity today to look around. They had a large shipment of overstocked ceramic tiles and some of the smaller ones, which I could use for mosaic work. Gal said $1 for one sheet which I thought was a great buy so got a box for $5 and then discovered at the bottom of the box was a lot of seperate tiles so I did get my money worth for sure. Only light green, rose color and one sheet of aqua, but I'm happy. Have odds and ends of other tiles I acquired during my travels to the thrift store.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

You were typing when I posted Marion and had to laugh. I think I was in that same group and ran too.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

lol Pegi - I thought the same thing..... but as you say - when you get older they get bigger, so what the hey.....
Glad it is benign......
I love going to the Habitat ReStore - used to work for them, in Winnipeg, in their office. Was a great job - Homeowners were to put in volunteer hours at the store, to show their commitment to help when Habitat was building a home for them. They were such happy people to work with :-)
