Happy Birthday Synda..hope it's a sunshine day in your neck of the woods!
Somebody's birthday tomorrow..hmm wonder who it is???
I know, I know.....hand in the air waving here...... I'll be partying in her honor tomorrow night eating Chocolate Kahlua Cake!!!
ROFLOL!!!
gee whiz, wonder if a different type of alcohol would work so I could make one and share in the birthday festivities..
Joyce, maybe you should make one (I can't bring across the border) so you, me and LindaKay could have with our tea when we met up in Frankenmuth
And Judy, Sue, Alicia...
Betty, did you hear from Janice? I know that Stacey is having a really hard time with this pregnancy, so I doubt she can travel?
I wasn't sure if you contacted them LindaKay??
Happy Birthday Synda! Hard to keep up with so many birthdays, I'm glad I'm not having any more.
LK I have a couple of hummers who come by every day now. Neighbors cat sits on the brick fence watching for his chance so I send my dog outside and the cat jumps back in his own yard. I had hoped more would come around but it just seems it is the two who have found the necter oasis.
Keep that feeder filled, you will have more next year!
That is pretty Susan!
I love daturas.............
Happy Bithday Marion!! Hope the day brings many smiles and pressies!
Thoughts /prayers are with your country today....
Happy Birthday Marion. May it be the best ever.
Prayers for our Nation.....
How's everyone doing? Me, it's been a nightmarish couple of days..plus feverishly sewing! Think I sewed my brains off.
PC wasn't accessible to me, as Kel claimed it yesterday.
Apart from NOT being able to come down here, I can't even get the messages left by family on FB. Good thing there's the phone.. they had to use the old fashion phone just to let me know of a family member's illness. Kel had wanted to discontinue the house phone and just use our cell phones to save $. If I had agreed to that, I'll certainly not be getting calls as the cell phones signals are so bad around here and I won't be connected to overseas!!
LK, any news on your dad?
Sue, do enjoy your day off.
Moment of silence just observed. The chills I have thinking of the slaughtering of INNOCENT people.
God bless this country!
He is waiting to have an angiogram done. It is a test, where they insert a tube with a camera down his leg, to see where the veins are blocked. My Sister called yesterday to say that won't happen till the first of October, so I guess it is not an urgent problem, but we are all anxious to see what is going to happen!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAID M!
Love the cake and Jaye, it is the thought that counts! :-) Nothing special planned other than to go have a veggie pizza in town....my choice.
Jaye, hope your family is doing okay.
That must bring some sort of relief to your family LK. Nothing urgent, means there's hope for Mr. Jim. Prayers were said for him on Sunday.
We had a guest preacher, and he's the old fashion Jimmy Swaggart kind. So when he was asked to say prayers over the prayer requests, it's like he's giving a sermon. I love these earnest from the heart pleas.
Marion, another sister just called!!! The other urgent info was to let me know that a BIL will be undergoing a stent procedure. This call was to let me know her DH now is diagnosed with diabetes and will be taking insulin. I am glad that I'm able to share info with her. I don't think these 2 BILs will stay away from white rice though.
Sis Kathy, you can say I am very happy with our new QB. He's much improved against Washington St... but I think Saban will win another crystal this year. How's that pain in your neck?
Good Morning, Sistahs!
Marion, happy, happy birthday!
So sad to remember 11 years ago. So glad Marion has a birthday to bring a smile! ^_^
Sorry to hear about your BIL's Jaye, will add them to our prayer list!
I think more and more we are learning there is more diabetic people than we imagined.
Had a chuckle the other day when my GDS were telling me their daddy (son) had been for his check up and the doctor told him he had to eat more vegetables. What a laugh!!! They said they were helping mommy but putting veggies on his plate at night. Go girls!
Morning Cookie! Getting that pond ready for winter yet?
Thanks LK. The BIL getting stents is in Dubai. His doctors are all American trained. He's taking insulin for diabetes too.
The other BIL, newly diagnosed with diabetes is in Singapore.
Marion, my sister told me that the kids threw away all the sweet treats from the pantry.... but ate all the ice cream!! Yah.. good way to help daddy!! Lol!!
jaye, the pain in my neck is becoming a pain in my arse. go to that dr. next week. today is pulmanry dr. day. appointment is 12 sharp.

Don't you forget to let us know Kathy!!!!!!! I hate going to doctors.....have had to go weekly since the first of August trying to get my CPAP machine adjusted. I am getting a break now until the 3rd of October.
Happy Birthday, Marion!!
oh gosh.......yes, I will remember 9/11.......... I remember that a friend called me over to her home to watch tv with her. She didn't want to be alone while she watched...... horrible, horrible, horrible........ Prayers being said for those who are still dealing with the agony of the memory......
Good luck Sis Kathy. Said prayers for you and please don't try to shoot the doctor if what he said didn't please you!!
Marion, if you had to wear that dread mask.. it's better to look like Darth Vader.. then not taking care of that sleep aepnia.
Susan, I think there were Canadians that were victims too.
yes, I know, and the Canadians had Call Centers just North of the disaster who were directing organizational aid - guaranteed phone systems that weren't "downed". I worked for a company that volunteered their staff to man the phones, in Winnipeg.
ROFLOL , well let's just say it isn't the romantic looking thing I have ever worn!
Norm's isn't either, Marion, but it does what it needs to and that's all that matters. Hope today was wonderful....
not much going on. Just a bank deposit and a grocery day
going to see Cookie on thursday. So that will be fun. I hope i don't have to work !
Oh Jaye that is hard to not have phones that will help with over sea's. MY DH is the same he would get rid of the house phone but i say " NO " our reception is the pits here also. I hope your family can get some help for their diabetes. Sending healing energy to them.
Hi and big ~~~~ with many ((()))) to you all
Another birthday I almost missed. Hope you had a nice day Maid M.
DH has been using a cpap for about 3 years now. He is so used to it now, but the dog won't come near him when he puts it on. Seems more and more people are having to use them.
I still have our land line too, can't depend on cell phones at times. I get so many call on some days for cleaning out my air ducts. DH said next time someone calls to tell them the ducks are OK, but the chickens need cleaning. Well, then if you don't have air ducts how would you like to install A/C & heating. Told them not interested unless they have a promo for a free job. You would think they would get tired of calling, but some say they are sorry for bothering me but that is part of their job.
Thanks Pegi, love hubby response to the call for cleaning the ducts. When we were living in Gainesville we were plagued with calls from one of the oil companies trying to get us to get their credit card. One day I had had enough calls so when theirs came and the operator asked if I was the lady of the house I responded, "No I'm the mistress". They hung up and never called back! My VBF was standing their totally amused I had done such a thing. Well enough was enough.
Barb, yes there seems to be more and more case of people having to use CPAPS lately. I was in shock when I found out that was the cause of my draggy, tired and sleepy feeling all the time. In fact, that is why I haven't been down to see Mom yet......doctor restricted me from driving that far by myself until mine got regulated. Feeling much better and most nights I don't know it is there but then others.......welll.......
Good morning sistahs!
Think I'll start using a new line "I'm the mistress of the house, and no, we don't have any ducks but can use some monkeys. Care to send some!!" ROFL!!!
It's just not the land line pests that plagued us, how about those promos on cell phones?
It's one of those mornings when I'm not myself. Don't have any appetite not even for my favorite breakfast, oatmeal! Maybe I'll be able to shrug off this grey mood I'm in.
Yes, diabetes is on the rise, extremely fast especially in China. Guess all those burgers and KFC joints are starting to make their health mark.
Another call this morning from another sister (I have 5) that my youngest brother's in denial that he's having diabetes. He said he doesn't have a sweet tooth. But he can't stop eating high starch carbos and fats that include fried everything!!
So, that means me, youngest brother, 2 BILs and my niece that can form our own diabetes family support group.
Will be a busy day today. It will be a good thing for my psyche, won't be able to indulge in a 'poor me' day :D
For you sistahs, I hope you have a "Great is today" day! Love to all.
Morning Jaye, don't work too hard!
dr. sent me for another ct scan today. won't know anything for a couple of days. but, the dr. says he thinks its nothing.
