His legs hurt before you sat on them Betty, and you didn't hurt him. They aren't nearly as swollen today, but I'm still watching very closesly.
I was just telling Bertie that I sure wish I had two more of those vases so I could make 3 each time! I have my "recipe" all mixed up and the forms are all lined with plastic. All I have to do now is add water and stir (and then form). I took a break and got Dad and me some lunch and went potty. I'm ready to go create!!!!
Sweet Interruptions # 245
Joyce, you should have told me,mi would have brought them down to you had they had more. Must run into town in the a.m. so I'm hoping that Crows Nest has more...in what area did you find them?
so glad it wasn't my antics Joyce that caused him pain!
It was to the back on the left side with other "antiquey" things. I'm doubtful if they have any more. I've surely gotten my $20 worth already!
My garden club has a member who does O'Hara Japanese flower designing. She put on a demonstration last Tuesday and now that's something ELSE I want to do....There just isn't enough of me to go around!
Finished my mushrooms. Made 24 (stems were already finished) and 7 more stems. I have a set of 3 sold and two troughs. Now I have to find the lady's phone number so she can come and pick out the ones she wants. Woohoo....Canada spending money!
I will have a look for you,
Will check a few vases I have stored away..
Think you've given me the buggggg
will have to do crafts shows, am sure they would sell

This year will be an excellent apple year !!

next is jalepeno's , the rest will just be dug up and thrown away as nothing came of it.
will store potato's for next year.
i had to order garlic as this years is not big enough to save. but will make nice garlic powder.
next week is salsa making week.
i thought things would slow down but its still going full swing.
Sounds like you are keeping busy Sue!
o my gosh.............. I was so scared - hail the size of golf balls........ and we're in a trailer, at the top of a hill, and a metal roof. Sounded like they were coming in. I was just out on the deck trying to take pictures of the lightening show, but didn't get any. I heard a sound like a rock hitting my car and thought it was the kids running by our place - it wasn't, it was the first of the hail!!!!!! At one point I was so scared, I ran to Bob and held on tight.
The hail's stopped now, but it went on for quite awhile.......
My poor neighbour's dog - he's a little guy, and he's terrified of storms, so I can just imagine what he just went through.....
I'd shut off my computer, but now have it back on cuz the storm seems to have stopped.
Morning,
sue, was a quick drop in to Joyce's both times..hoping to get together with you in the fall..gardening/canning is no easy job then throw in a fair and exhausted you will be.
Susan, these storms can be terrifying, any hail damage to the vehicles?
Morning everyone! Hope your OK Susan!
Hope everything is okay Susan.
Good morning to all!!!
Morning Barb, whats your plans for the day?
Laundry!!! Norm took Sean to Cooperstown NY (Baseball Hall of Fame) for the weekend as his 12 year old trip with Papa and brought back a pile!!!! In between I hope to finish up a couple blocks that go to a BOM that I did by mail from Keepsake Quilting a few years ago. I had started it and then moved so it took a while for my blocks to catch up with me and then they got put away. When cleaning out last week I "found" them again!!!! Hope to get all the blocks made and then I may send them to Julie for the fire quilts. I'm not really sure yet what I'll do with them.
Post pictures when you get them done please?
Will do!! Finishede doing the binding on Norm's table runner this weekend. Remember when HE was going to learn to longarm? Well, that didn't happen but I had made him cut out and piece a runner so he would know how much work was involved on something before it went to a longarmer. I'll post a shot of that too!
Sounds like everyone is up and running today. I need to do much the same here.
Have a good one all.
Here are the photos LK First is Norm's runner and the other is of all the blocks I made for this top. Boy can you see a big difference in the sewing. I guess I've learned a few things since I started with these. I have the finishing kit to go with them (minuus the batting and backing) but I still may send it all to Julie ....
Very nice Barb! Love the colors in those blocks, and the runner!
Betty just talked to Cookie and i think we have to put it on hold. apple season starts and i m working up to 50 hrs a week there . with such a short season and no one else to take my place it may have to wait :( i m so sorry . gosh this work thing sure gets in the way of my fun time with sistah's
pretty tired today
good night
Hi Ladies,
Yea Joyce I want to see the "mushrooms" too...........saw some on pinterest they look so cute
Had a GREAT day swimming, water felt like warm silk, it was so fresh and clean. I was in the water the whole time we were there except for about 5 minutes to eat a quick bite. It was just way to hot (106) to not be in the water. It was not real deep in a lot of places as a matter of fact you could walk from one side to the other and not go under water, but then there were some deep places too. Cristina and I were sitting in our chairs (in the water, lol) talking and this little girl walked past us with some toys. A little while later we heard a noise coming from the other side of the river. It was the little girl that has walked past us. She was drowning. Man Cristina and I jumped up. I started running across the river (kind of hard to do when the water is two or three feet deep in places) Cristina was on an air mattress paddling like crazy thinking she could get to her faster. Little girl was starting to drift down stream and go under, luckily I got to her and yanked her up out of the water. She started coughing and crying. As I was running across the river I hollered up stream "Whose kid?" When I turned around to go back up the river everybody was watching us. Here come the mother she says to the little girl...."You did the right thing turning over on your back" Then she turned to me says "Thank you" she didn't even seem to be shook up at all. Why didn't the little one have on some sort of a floating device??? Plus she was quite a ways down river from where her mom and a bunch of other young mother were gabbing. The little girl never got back in the water the rest of the day. When we got in the car to come back home the temp was 115 inside yikes!!!! And I had left the windows down part way!!! Sometime next month Cristina is going to take a day off and we are going to go down there again, this time I think my mom will go. Tomorrow I babysit, then the kids start school on Wed. Taylor is going to be in the 5th grade, OMG!!! she is growing up fast. Kain wil be starting his Senior year of high school then soon after he graduates he is joining the Army. He has been talking to recruiters and has taken two tests and passed. My daughter is not liking it to well, I think it is great as long as he does not have to the battle fields. I'm hoping he will get into something that will keep him away from that. He told my mom that he knows there are no decent jobs around and can't afford to go to college. So we will see.
No hail damage at our place - little "dimples" in my car, but have to look close to see - nothing that broke the paint.
However, it was worse than 2010 when they had $400M in damages within Calgary. We were ok both times.
Just a lot of noise at our place.... some hail was hardball size and others were golfball size.........
I put my resume in to my boss, and to the EA who reviews some of her resumes for her. The EA wants me to stay there, cuz she needs the position to support her, too, and we get along famously.
Sounds like you had a good time at the lake Cindy, glad to hear you saved that little girl! I agree, she should have had a floating device on, especially being so far from Mom!
Susan, good luck with the application! Hope you get hired full time!
Jay, it is time for you to check in, and let us know your OK please?
Cookie, get well hugs for your dad from me please. Never heard of O'Hara Japanese flowers. Got me curious there.
Oh no Betty!! You sure don't need a bug as memento from your American travels! Get well, soon!
PTL that you're there at the right time for the girl, Cindy.
At least Kain understands that he needed to plan his future immediately, instead of procrastinating, then the job market will be too tight. By the time he finished basic training, there would be big withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan. I understand your family's fear.
Susan, hope you'd get that permanent position.
Hi Marion~~~ Sistah Kathy~~~~ Sis Judy~~~~
Beautiful Barb!!! Of course, your quilting has been always exquisite.
Sue, don't work too hard. Enjoy your off days when you can. Schedules can be shuffled ;)
Forgive me if I appeared selfish, LK. Don't want to draw attention to myself, as I myself don't understand what's going on with me.
Did see the doctor this morning, and it seems that I'm making Pfizer very rich and some other drug companies.
Think I need a mental overhaul!!!
Anyone can start a new room. Don't have the patience to open up another window with this slow dial up.
If not, I'll do it much later.
Please pray for each other, and I do need prayers too. Lord knows what's wrong with me!
Jaye, so glad you popped in to say hello! Sending you lots of prayers for a speedy recovery! ((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))
New room everyone!
