aahhhheem i drive a Ford 350 but i will let that remark slide by Jaye LOL
LK IMHO keep calling lawyers. i know there is an ambulance chaser out there with your name on it. Also you have up to 2 yrs to sue the person who hit you.
I hit a person and i got sued , they got my insurance co for 50.000 and the only injury was bumps and bruses . His spouse sued me cuz she claimed she couldn't have sex with him ... he was depressed ! yeah. just a thought. Those people found a golden ticket and were dishonest but i think your intiltled to compensation from that person.
Sweet Interruptions # 245
shaking my head Sue, had a chuckle on you, sure is nice
ROFLOL Sue, if I hadn't gone through the same experience I would not have believed it!! Exception, they hit my son driving my truck!!! Didn't file suit until one week before the 2 years was up. Florida has just passed a law trying to put an end to that type lawsuit...here is hoping it works.
Oh, yes, the husband did get a settlement for 3,000.00 for his lack of sexual activity. What a hoot....they were divorced! The suit strung out for 1+ years then was scheduled for trial and they settle..........our insurance settle as the judge denied some evidence that came up after the discovery In short, documented letters stated there was no injuries.. Of the 1,000,000.00 lawsuit she got 210,000.00, 40% lawyers fees, huge medical bills that had to be paid out of the procedes and other legal fees associated with the case. She got less than 10,000.00 for what took essentially 3+ years.
Geesh, guess there are money hungry people out there!
Glad yo had a good time with the girls Marion!
ahem......... and my Bob has an F350 as well.......... but I'll let that slide, Jaye LOL
omygawd........... she refuses to have sex with her DH and they sue YOU?!?! Money-hungry to be sure
Lolol!!! Said it's a F250!! Not a 350, which is sturdier, a bigger built and better chassis!
Kel was involved in a wreck, and the truck he drove then was a Chevy S10. The damage was terrible considering how he was hit. That's when he became a Silverado cab fan :D
Sorry sistahs.. but doesn't FORD stands for either "Failure On Road Display" or is it.. "Found on Road Dead"?
To be fair GMC are "Generally Mediocre Cars"!!!! Lololol.. okay.. okay.. my sistahs.. I give up!!!
Marion, I'm looking forward to getting that from Netflix. Nothing like hugs and freely given cuddles from your DGDs.
I did the same thing with my younger siblings back in Singapore. The three youngest are about 15-18 years younger than me, and after a show, I'd drag them to a big bookstore. They can only choose books, no games. Tadin would pick a comic book, insisting there are dialogues that require reading!
Since my doctor has doubled the dose of my happy pills, I've became much more lethargic. Like too high to stay awake? Lolololol.. and yes.. I'm always ^_^ too!
LK, I've to download that tune later :D That tune must have followed you all day yesterday!
So Saturday's breakfast sistahs. We're going Cuban!!!
Eggs, potatoes some salsa added and fried plantains! Get your maracas out and form a congo line!
Did anyone followed the Olympics' opening ceremony? We did! It was spectacular! So emotional, the respect given to construction workers besides former Olympic champions. It was truly a sight to remember with the choreographed 'lifting' of the fired circles to form into a tall flaming cauldron! WOW.
I sang along to Paul McCartney's "Hey Jude" and Kel could only chimed "Na na na na"!!!
Thanks for the breakfast Jaye, your certainly the cook lately!
FORD, found on road dead... Sorry, couldn't resist. We do have a ford mustang, but it will be the only ford we own..
We went and looked at trucks yesterday, and they have a really nice GMC sierra crew cab. We might go back and test drive it today!
Sorry Jaye, we did not watch it, sounds like we missed a great show!
I'm looking forward to the swimming meets and of course the women hurdles, LK.
Got to keep up with my sistahs' gourmet palate! Ideas already reeling in my brains as to what to fix for super Sunday... unless I'm late for church!
Dang!!! I missed the opening ceremony, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Doug and I went out for Mexican food then came home and watched Journey 2 The Mysterious Island, lol. Then I conked out.............had a margarita with dinner and it hit me right between the eyes LOL!!!
Between working in Sheri's gardens and babysitting Taylor I kinda neglected my flower garden. It is looking really ragged. So I will be cleaning it out and planting more flowers for fall blooming.
We are still waiting to hear about the house........but I am pretty sure we won't have to move. Doug's mom was able to file an undue hardship against Medical. But we are still not doing any work on it until we know for sure. I just hope that we do find out before the weather gets too cold to work outside. I want to dig up the yard and put all of my plants in the ground. Some of them didn't do to well being in pots. Plus I want to bring a lot of my flowers from my mom's. Too much work for her, and the deer keep tasting them, lol.
While I was gone Doug's mom bought Amy the nicest dog bed, it was on sale for $24 down from $50. She is always buying us stuff, she spoils us, lol.
It has been 3 weeks since I've been out walking the "girls" and I put on 4 lbs grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so it's time to get back into the routine so on that note.................we are out the door
Have a good day Ladies
Enjoy your walk Cindy!
Bad us..we didn't watch the opening ceremonies. Actually got busy with some more downsizing and forgot until late!!!
Jaye, that is an absolutely, positively gourmet delight you have there for breakfast. Making it really tough for me at the next gathering....guess I can't just sit out my boxes of cold cereal. :-)
All this talk about trucks...me I am partial to my Toyota ...truck and Highlander. Actually Charles drives the truck and seeing how badly it was damaged when he had the wreck, the $$$ amount and it was still repaired makes me even happier. It is a 2003 still looks good and drives better..IMHO. Oh, it is the Tacoma.
I have a HIghlander and I love it. Norm likes the bigger trucks-not me.....
lol "Found on road dead" LOL As a teenager going out with a fella who, he and his buddies, had friendly rivalry about their brand of vehicles - I was asked to embroider a patch for my fella "FORD - Found On Road Dead" and "FORD eats Chevys" for his buddy in the same group LOL

Was able to watch the open ceremonies On Demand was not what I expected but was interesting.
Well the walk (2 miles) was the wrong thing for me to do, my toe is still hurting by the time I got back it was throbbing big time and it is beet red, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr puts a kink in plans for rest of day. But the "girls" got to swim for awhile so they are happy now ^_^
We also called them "fix or repair daily"...
Birthday wishes from NH Jaye - Norm and I wish that you have the best b'day ever.......
♪♫Happy Birthday, Jaye!!!!! ♫♪
Me too!! Sending the very best wishes for a fantastic birthday. It's your day, do what you want and enjoy!!!!
I do not want to be the bearer of sad news on Jaye's birthday but I thought all here should know that Synda lost her Mom last night. Sending prayers and hugs to her and her family.
I'm so sorry to read of Synda's Mom passing. I send her my prayers for strength and peace....May God bless....
I just read that on FB too, Marion. My heart hurts for her, as I know the past few months have not been good. Her stepfather is not a nice person.
((((((((Synda))))))))
So sorry, my dear sistah. What an ominous way to remember my birthday :*( She's not suffering anymore at the hands of your step father, and Lord's giving her a new body.
Thank you, thank you so much for all the beautiful wishes sistahs and brother Norm. Those cakes are just too much for one person!!! I'll share.
Kel really treated me like royalty today. He surprised me with breakfast at Shoney's this morning, before church! Totally didn't expect this.
After church, another surprise. Like I didn't fill my tummy at the breakfast bar, he treated me to Cracker Barrel's. We both had catfish. Grilled for me, of course, I had to bring the corn muffins and hush puppies home!
After that, we went to Barnes and Nobles, and believe me sistahs, there wasn't a single quilting mag that caught my attention! I was too sleepy to be flipping through pages! But did manage to get a sketch book.
I'm totally surprise with his treatment. This is the old Kel that I know. Maybe that scare by my doctor and the message delivered by the preacher, two weeks ago had put some sense into his head.
Kel's happy that I have a good birthday....
That has made my day Jaye, to hear about the wonderful day Kel provided for you. Either the scare by the doctor or the sermon did it's job or maybe, just maybe, it was the thought of my foot being put on his backside if he doesn't take care of you!!!! I can pack quite a kick for an old lady...tell him I said so. LOL Enjoy what is left of the day.
Aw how Sweet!!! You deserve it Jaye!!!!
Synda seems to be doing just fine. I have been chatting with her on FB. She is one strong lady for sure!!! Just hope that they end up with her mother's estate or what have you and not the wicked stepfather.
Marion, I'd like to think it's your Ninja ways!!
Sue dahlin' did you pay attention to the USA team's techiniques or were you too absorbed with the Speedos? LOLOL!!!
Cindy, it's sad that Synda's stepfather didn't respect her mum enough to let her kids know about her death, until hours later.
He'd have to answer to the Lord for all his deceits.
Jaye, so glad to hear you had a great day! We are so proud of Kel!
Synda, so sorry to hear about your Mom, sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way.
Happy birthday Jaye..got in from Elvis Festival..one of the cuties gave me a kiss for you..sorry you weren't here to get it yourself...know I sure enjoyed it. Lol
LOL Jaye...... technique ???
isn't that Gabby amazing !! wow that girl can spin and fly... i think they named her the flying squirrel ? and well she is like one too. She gets air !
China won a gold in mens 400 wow first time china has won in mens swimming 400 relay ... that is because Phelps wasn't swimming LOL
((((((((Jaye)))))))) Again, happy birthday, and SO glad Kel treated you like the princess you ARE!!
Glad you had a great birthday!!!!!!
(((((((((Synda))))))))) sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I agree with Jaye - she's now in a new body, and is in no pain whatsoever! She's happy and blessed.
As for me, and my bike riding lesson:
phew........... 3 hours of walking up hills, coasting down hills (without pedals, no less), and learning about helmets, the ABC check before riding, and all about bike holders for cars, and chains, etc.........
very warm out today, and kept flopping into shade and drinking iced tea with lemon........
I got "95% there" in learning.
When she put pedals on, all I could think was..... "watch my balance, steer, AND pedal - yikes!)
I "hit the wall" and couldn't get the pedalling right - either they were behind my leg and I couldn't get my foot backwards, or I could get one foot on and not the other........ after 2 1/2 hours I was tired, and couldn't do anymore. after the last 1/2 hour (total of 3 hours!!!) I was bushed!
I will be practicing this week, in the same park, with Bob - he was there the whole lesson, so he knows exactly "where" I am with this. I hope by next weekend I will be well and truly riding my bike :-)
Some of you may know Susie, Deejay9. Her dad passed away this morning. Please say a prayer for her, as she has been living with, and taking care of him for a long time!
Message from another swap thread...
Hi Everyone!
I just spoke to Deejay(Susie) her dad passed this morning. She asked me to let everyone know, and she wanted me to tell everyone she will be on when she can! I told her NO worries and that we would all be thinking and praying for her, and she (like she would) said she is thinking of all of us too!
Thanks everyone!
Ahoogstra
