Sorry to learn of Susie's father's passing. She'd be very lost for a while, her day to day activities revolve around him.

Please remember Synda as she 'deals' with the funeral and hope there won't be too much drama to follow and her step dad will do the right thing before God intervenes....

Got word that Sis Kathy's BIL passed away. He was in his 40s. Too young to leave this world.

Did follow the Olympics and was sooooo sad that our men's gymnasts racked penalties. I had so much faith in them.

After all that rich food Sunday, my stomach has been sluggish.

Keeping Kathy and Michael in my prayers. Yes, 40 is way to young but then we don't know what is planned for him.

Had the girls all day yesterday. We had lunch, shopped for the last items Kim needed before going back to work today and then finally let them shop for some "kewl" outfits they can wear on days they aren't required to wear their uniforms. It was fun seeing what they would chose if left alone...might add they got some really cute things IMHO. Abbi went for the newer long skirts with the uneven hem; Catie-Beth just loved tops to wear with crop pants. They are so alike to be so different. Best part they were all on sale plus I had a coupon for another 20% total purchase. I love sales!!!!

We are having a thunderstorm currently. Thank goodness no lightening but the thunder is so loud and it is pitch black outside. Not what was predicted for the day! Oh well, will keep me inside and busy finishing up the kitchen. Kim went back to work today and I think from her smile, she was ready. Hard to believe this will be here 26th year....where did the time go?

The kids left last night about 9, I sure did have fun, while they were here! I got lots of Grandma time with the kids, and it was so nice! Heather did not know what to do, with her free time! But I tell you what, holding a 20 pounder sideways to bottle feed is a task. I had to place a pillow under my arm to hold him! ^_^

no, my bil was mentally unstable, suicidle and a drug addict. his heart stopped. we think he over dosed on porpose. bad thing is, he was staying with his brother and family. waiting on autopsey report

Kathy - how terribly young for him to pass........ perhaps he was just ready to go, and now he's in no mental or emotional pain........... the poor family though - they must be traumatized to be the ones to find him.....

Afternoon, got about 10 minutes of heavy rain, seems the ground was dry a few minutes later..sponge city! But the flowers and grass said 'thank you'

I'm putting all the planters under the gazebo tomorrow night..giving them fertilizer and hope for the best..Cathy will come over to feed the furries while I'm on my roadtrip, might spend some of the 10 days at my house, will ask her to water them, sure am hoping I don't lose them all.

Hey Jaye, just got insurance on the new truck, and went back to the dealership, so they could get onstar activated, and show me all the gadgets! There sure are a lot of buttons in that truck! I will be driving to Uvalde, to get the kids later this afternoon. I will have the Grandsons for a week.
It is supposed to be 109 today, or record temp for today is 104.

Oh boy!! Fun, fun, fun for you LK! More gadgets to master.

Hi Ladies,

Too hot to do anything outside. Took "girls" for a walk at 730 this am, was "glowing" before I got to the river. Lucky "girls" they got to cool off. Jaye, Sheri works thru the week, but I'm suppose to do my gardening there but my hands have been hurting too bad. The surgery that was done on my right hand was NOT a success. I have more pain with it now than before surgery, wrist is swollen, thumb is numb looks like I may need more surgery on it. And of course I have a lot of arthritis in left thumb and wrist which makes is really painful to use :( So I do a little at a time each day.

I'm so sorry to learn that Cindy. You who works so much with your hands truly don't need to be 'handicapped' by arthritis.
Bummer if you needed another surgery to correct the first. You're right, let a doctor take care of it, so you could return to being active.

Sorry to hear that Cindy! Sometime's, surgery can make things worse. Sure hope you can get it fixed.

Susan I had the surgery Feb 7 2011, plus two cortizone shots since then. There is a huge knot just below the thumb joint that is very painful.
Man it's so hot and dry out the dogs won't even go out to play in the pool. And they are control burning along the levee which is making the whole town smoky ugh

Cindy - I thought you'd had it about then......... seems like a long time for it to still be affecting you this way. Have you talked to the Dr about it? I sure hope so...... It's just plain Wrong for it to be this painful so long after the surgery.
