Camping (tenting) stuff's packed and sitting on the deck, waiting for a bit of Bob's input, and his packing of the truck..... it's after 2pm, and he's still heading home. He ran some errands after work, and should be home soon........
Rain's stopped and should be sunny & warm/hot the rest of the holiday weekend!

Wonder why I wasn't getting this thread, at least I found it again. I'm sure we aren't getting hot weather like Cindy, but it is still too warm for me. I like the nice cool breeze in the early morning, would be a perfect time to go out and take care of my plants, but I just don't move too fast that early. LOL

Bone density scan showed my hips aren't doing very well. Don't know why our bones have to thin out and get brittle as we get older. I'm at high risk for hip fracture, so I guess I better not put the ladder up so I can cut back the vines. Not my vines so I think the people who do the gardening over there should cut them way back, like to the ground. Need some anti-grow spray for them.

Mornin' all.....notice I didn't say "good" as I am exhausted already. Had a sleep study done last night (Cookie I am sure you understand ...LOL) and trust me, there is no sleep involved. Who could possibly sleep on a board for a bed and wires hooked to every place on your body! Good thing there wasn't an electrical storm or I might have been fried!!! Oh well, chalk it up to another experience.

Jaye, we have seen The Lincoln Lawyer and yes, yes, yes I did like it. Kim and I just finished watching Doc Martin from the BBC...started slow but got addicted fast. Now I have to wait another year for another episode....bummer.

Oh Gosh, I missed wishing Jaye a Happy Birthday. So glad Kel was so good to you on your special day. Can't work in the sun too long, that heat does play havoc with our bodies.

Yep, lots of calcium tabs. and vitamin D every day, but the walking 30 minutes a day is going to be a problem. Should have one of those new fangle tread mills. I should have told the gal my feet couldn't handle long walks any more. They seem to get that darn burning sensation all the time now. I really hate to wear shows any more, but that's not an option.

Put up another humming bird feeder so hoping more than the two birdies will show up. They sure do drink a lot of nectar!

Breakfast for today is Foul Me'dammes. An Egyptian breakfast.
It's fava beans that had been simmered overnight for 8 hours, then pureed.
Traditionally the beans are eaten with tomatoes, eggs, watercress, arugula, cucumbers, carrots, and sheep-milk cheese.
I like it with some herbs, olive oil and fresh lemon juice.

If you found any fresh fava beans in your supermarket. Try them. The beans are delicous by themselves, boiled .
Used to grow them in Louisiana.

Good Morning Ladies,

The weather has cooled off, yay low 90's for awhile. Took Doug's mom out for breakfast at HomeTown Buffet yesterday. Then we went to meet his step-sister from his dad's third marriage. Doug had not seen her for awhile. Only stayed in her itty bitty very hot house for about 10 minutes. Came home Doug took a nap fo rabout an hour (he gets really sleepy after eating in the mornings), then he called Crissy (step-sister) asked her if she would like to com over here for awhile. We had a nice visit, showed her my craft room and the glass totems I'm making. Which reminds me I need to go to Goodwill and look for some colored vases and plates. Salvation Army just does not have a big selection of glassware.

I am anxious to redo the front yard, saw the neatest idea with a bench on pientrest and I just happen to have that same exact bench, but still no word from Medical, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Then the Goodwill spent $60 on glass to make LOTS of totems, could of spent a while lot more but will wait until I get these made. One of my friends has a craft consignment store and told me to bring my stuff down ^_^ I'm a happy crafter..............................

Remember when I told you all how my doctor prescribed more blood pressure meds for me on July 13th?
Well, they're in my blood stream, and the side effect is disruptive.
All I want to do is sleep.... The happy pill certainly calmed me down, but the lowered bp got my mojo on "stall"!
One day of being ultra busy shouldn't make me tired for days!!
Then when I thought it's GERD that caused my stomach to act up again.. wondering why Protonix isn't working that well.. today.. the doctor told me that I need another med. An anti nausea med because of my different bp meds.
He said, give them another couple weeks, maybe my mojo would return to normal!! Got a date with him next month, and we'll see. Sure don't like feeling like a zombie.

So sistahs...bear with my disappearing acts.. till my psyche is sorted out.
Thank God I'm too medicated to worry too much about this lack of energy!!

I've been missing a lot of the posts so had to go back and see what is happening. My Internet Explorer is really giving me problems. They said to upgrade it so I did now can't get into DG at all. Said they can't open the web site. So I'm pretty much sticking with Chrome lately.

I've grown fava beans, I think they are a winter crop here, and they haven't made it to the stove. I eat them right out of the pod. Maybe I'll try sowing them again.

Time to go out and water, it has cooled down so no more excuses.
