Morning everyone!
Jaye, Andy, Heather and the Grandkids will be here tomorrow, we are going to grill some baby back ribs with potato salad, and something red white and blue for dessert, just don't know what yet. Then we will be setting off fire works in the back yard. We had a bout 10 minutes of rain yesterday, so it is not too dry, but I am going to set the sprinklers out today, just to make sure there are no fire accidents!
Betty, funny how time flies, you waiting anxiously for the gathering time to arrive, and before you know it, it is over with! But it sure looks like you had a grand time with everyone!
Sue, Glad to hear your thinking that way, not angry at those guilty. Being angry is all part of the grieving process, and it will go through your head so many times. Just remember that we are all here for you, and were still sending lots of prayers your way!
SWEET INTERRUPTIONS #243
Morning....never to hot for coffee at this house!
Sue, you are amazing......everyone could learn something from you. How is the clean up going? If I were closer, would be helping you.
Betty, I am afraid you may have set the bar to high for me. No lake rides...oh wait, I do have a paddle boat. Will be a huge contrast in areas from Canada to northern Florida.
Good luck on your first day Susan.
Plans for the 4th....as usual trip to cemetery (Ross' birthday), Kim will grill a marinated chuck roast and then veggie to go with it. After dark we will enjoy the comfort of our family room and watch the fireworks over the lake.
Maybe this might inspire you LK, for dessert.

It's so great that you, Sue, are willing to share and speak up on how you feel. May your openess benefit others.
Betty, I'm still bummed over the missed opportunity. Can't cry over being left behind, but can pout!!!
I'm sure a few will try to find their way over to your home again. After all, you're a terrific hostess, I'm told :D
But looking forward to next year, already had my change put aside.. and hid!!
Marion, we're coming to see you, Kim, the sistahs, not expecting a sightseeing itenary. If your DGD could grace us with their company, that would be the biggest treat for me!!
LK, I pray tomorrow's weather will be perfect for your intimate family gathering.
Nothing like Tx. style bbq on the 4th. I know you'd be enjoying your day.
ROFLOL....oh there are some "kewl" things to do and see but I will definitely put a visit from the DGs on the list. I have one full year to get Catie-Beth on her best behavior.
ROFLOL only you Bj could come up with that!
I have one full year to get Catie-Beth on her best behavior.
Tis you that need that full year, Maid M!! ROFL... CB will only need a day (crossing my toes, there)
BJ, for sure you'd need that extra "moisture" returning to Tx. heat!! Lol!!
Marion... don't worry so much about Catie-Beth... she'll be fine... it's you I'm worried about being on your best behavior.
LOL...
I haven't been on "best behavior" is so long I don't even have a clue what it is.
So laughing Brenda..guess I shouldn't have eaten on your visit because I looked like that before the gathering
lol BJ - sounds like I shouldn't have come anyway lol I'm losing weight (inches, anyway! I never get on a *){(%$# scale) so can't afford to jepordize myself lol
1st day at new job was good - Boss asked me if I were coming back tomorrow! then she winked. I said "well, I don't know, you were so mean to me" I grinned, she did too lol
There's a lot to learn about the company & the things done in this job, but I'm up to it. Poking through files and things at the desk &have already found 2 different ways previous person was not organized and duplicated things unnecessarily - way behind on the filing of things. Plus, never kept written of computer documents of a meeting held June 14th - Agenda, but no Minutes...siiiiiigh. My poor boss - she didn't get the notes from my predecessor, & has little memory of what happened. No one should Ever rely on their memory for meeting minutes.
Happy 4th of July everyone!!
Happy 4th (Independence Day) to all our Neighbours to the South! Remembering your "soldiers across the way" in this terrible heat they're taking...... with the heat, all the gear they wear and carry........ well, it's a terrible burden they carry, in more ways than one......
Bless you all!
Thank you my Canadian friends. And HAPPY 4TH/INDEPENDENCE DAY to all - besides, It's still the 4th in Canada!!!!!!
Happy 4th everyone !!!! Hope you keep it safe
Quote from Don (my dear hubby)
"The Canadians are coming to play a European game on a US holiday so I have to work."
LOL... Toronto vs Stars and he's in charge...
Oh, well... nothing any different than any other year... I never get my hubby on holidays... that's prime game time.
Edited to say : And Don is actually broadcasting for the Canadian Feed... what the Canadians will see on TV will be from his truck.

I too thank you my Canadian sistahs!!
Happy 4th everyone! May we continue to enjoy our freedom thanks to the brave service men and women.
Poor Don. You'd get him when he retires, BJ!
Then you'd be decking your boat in RWB and do a small solo parade.
Nothing special here, I doubt Kel would agree to watch a parade at the beach. He's not one to bear any heat.
BJ, he has lost some inches from his belly since you last saw him.. but he still need to lose more!
Pork chops and corn on the cobs. Fresh blueberries with whip cream for dessert.
No company, just Kel and I.
Later, I might take that ride to Sis Carolyn to take a pic of her fawn.
Stay cool everyone.
B.J. how interesting..you never did mention what Don did for a living..how cool is that?
Jaye, he said he doesn't plan on retiring... he's just going to die at some stadium, somewhere.
Kel is so tall that he can stand to keep some of his belly... but I'm glad he's got you to keep him in shape.
Betty, I think I've mentioned it sometime or other... he's a broadcast engineer for major sporting events... been doing it for 45 years.
Well now B.J. that is one exciting job for sure..do you ever get to go with him?? even sitting on the outskirt of the event still would be thrilling but after 45 years guess it's old stuff to you both
Bored here, put telephone numbers in my blackberry, downloaded Rogers new app...seeing I have ipad I now can watch all t.v. shows that I have on my tv on my ipad..thrilled as that is about all I do, watch Netflix and CBC, CTV andCNN here at work..
Keep looking at the clock and it's just not moving, guess I'm too anxious to get home
LOL... neither of us are sports fans... he does love his job though.
Sometimes he gets free tickets... especially to Ranger games... I usually get some then and take Kristi and friends to a game.
Once he was scheduled to do some basket ball games in Florida around Christmas, but was off on Christmas eve and day... then he was to fly back for a couple more days... so, we arranged with the company for me to fly with him and stay at the hotel those days off. We did Christmas at Disney World. Just us two old ppl... and we had a blast. You just never get to old for Disney.
But, for the most part... NO... I don't go with him often... long hours, and mostly boring for me.
Exciting none the less..
Don't be bored, come on over!
