SWEET INTERRUPTIONS #243

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lololol Marion!!!
Hope your pantry's full!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Not now it isn't.......

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

lol - empty pantry, eh? Full tummy though.... lol
Bad depression........ who, your mom?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

You Ladies talking about how cranky your mom's are or were. I think it comes with age. I remember my grandma being a cranky ol' woman but when she got sick it was total opposite. I took care of her until the last two weeks of her life. We were sitting on the edge her bed talking with lady from the Welfare and all of a sudden she slumped over onto me. She had suffered a stroke. After a little while she was ok, but then later that evening she suffered another one, she was in the hospital for weeks then passed away. My mom is getting cranky also. With her bowling buddies she is fine no crabbing at all, but around family it gets tiring after awhile.........................

Having bad day with mouth back to lay down..........................I'm so bored and there's nothing good on tv

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Me...can't go to Betty's. Gonna go much some more.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Marion - you and me........ wish I could go too. Well, when I had time, no $$, now I'm starting a job on Friday and could have $$, but that means no time. Can't win for losing! lol
Wouldn't it be great to be independently wealthy? I don't know of anyone that fits that description.........
ah well, life goes on.
I'm off to the Church to help someone take their bought-for furniture....... cya ladies later!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Stop it Marion! It's contagious! Ate a plate of pasta and meat sauce, devoured two unhealthy mini doughnuts and now about to attack some cookies..
bad.. Marion.. bad :P

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Ladies, it is not polite to talk with your mouth full! ^_^

I just came home from wal mart, and they had the EZ eyes keyboard there. I just plugged it in where the old one was, and it works great. The keys are yellow with big black letters, and it is so much easier to type with!

Cindy, take care of that mouth, you should be feeling better in a few days?

Independently wealthy? What is that? LOL?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

pizza, 3 candy bars a pork chop and ice cream. thanks marion

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh, but I am feeling sick. I can't imagine why. LOL

Independently wealthy? Why of course I fit that description, didn't you know? Well independent that is and if you add "whelpy" to that then you have me. Bugs are bad.....thank you Debby.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ok - have been eating very light and great......... now I'm having 3 mini blueberry stuffed bagels! Not healthy at all lol
tsk tsk tsk Marion!! (Let's all pile up on Marion!!)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis Kathy, at least you have guineas and goats to cook if you ran out of food!

Whelpy Marion, I took a nap tired from all that overeating!!!

LK, thanks for letting us know you like your new keyboard. I need a new one too.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

"Whelpy Marion" lol look what you started, Marion m'girl!!

(((((((((((((((Betty, Judy, Steve)))))))))))))))))

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready, and I have english muffins with cream cheese!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning!!

Boy I have never slept so much in all my life. Mouth feeling much better, but still sore muscles in jaw area. I think I need to do that more often, to get work out of Doug. He put in a doggie door, put up a gate (the one I was going to use on potting bench to hold tools :( ) and fence in back yard, now I we don't have to go thru house to turn faucet on for back yard. We have 1 faucet for outside, isn't that stupid. Plus he put a splitter on faucet so we have two hoses front and back. Then he cleaned the kitchen and washed dishes ^_^. The "girls" love their doggie door. Amy was checking it out before he could get it finished, lol.

Going shopping today for makings for Chili. Doug is in a Chili Cook off on Saturday. I'm going to finish putting craft room together. Have a b-day party on July 3rd so I am making a RW&B candle for gal. She had already received one nice present. She found out she is going to be grandma to twins and this is her first time becoming grandma.

Time for some much needed coffee

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear your feeling better! And you have been busy!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

wow Cindy - so glad to hear you're feeling better! You're right, you need to get this sleep more often!
Chili cook-off,eh? Any samples for us?!?!?!
Glad to hear your mouth is feeling better
Nice to have "handy water" for the yard - it's a staple that you need to be part of DG!! Now, you're a True DG'er ROFL

Just got a call from the Agency, and the client wants me to start work on Tues, not tomorrow, and - am I related to Linda MacKenzie?! Nope, not........... suppose that's someone that works there? dunno......... lol

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Love, love, love cream cheese!
Thanks LK for prepping breakfast.

Betty, there will be more tight squeezes for you today as more sistahs are starting to show up!!
It was very good to hear your voice and I appreciate very much Sistah Judy wanting to let me know that she and Steve made there safely!
Thank God, they experienced good weather along the way.

Cindy, Doug just proven himself that he can do what needed to be done, by himself!! So, no more excuses, Doug!
Glad to know you're feeling much better. That RWB candle will be smelling so good, as I know you'd add extra scent additives to it,

A few more days to play with us Susan, then off to serious business!
I'm sure you're getting your 'office' clothes all ready.

Well "left-behind Sistahs"--- no overeating today, okay? I was in bed before 9 last night!! And today, I have an upset stomach, wonder why?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Where is the pepto?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, you need more than pepto!! You need therapy :P

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Therapy for what? I is perfectly normal...just ask me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1268342/
Fairy and gnome swap is open for all those interested. Come and check it out.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Can't ask you, Marion. But I'm sure you'll be back to normal once you hit that JD pillow!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

lol Marion and her JD pillow lol
Marion - yes you IS normal, but one doesn't know what normal is nowadays............ lol

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

oh no, my annie bananie is sick. going to pick her honey suckle vines and oak leaves

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

your annie bananie?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear that Sis! Hope the honey suckle works!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis Kathy feeds her goats honeysuckle nectar!!!! Imagine that!! She's truly a perfect Nanny Goat :D
Nothing serious, I hope, sis.

The day's already hot, and the roads we had to take to go to the doctor's office are under construction, with only one working lane for 15 miles!!! There's no other way to get to that town, but that road. So, for a 15 mile journey, it took us 45 minutes.
Again, thank God for a/c and of course Lola stayed home.

I don't want LK's heat. But tomorrow, we'll be hitting that dreaded triple digits. The humidity is bad enough!
We stepped into a restaurant, and so many customers were hacking or sneezing away. Looks like the season of summer flu has begun.
Thanks to the persistent concern of a sistah, I've been taking extra vitamins for 4 months now, to make sure this year won't be a bad one when it comes to colds, flus.. sinuses..
So far, Kel caught the cold twice, and I haven't (touch wood) got that from him. Hope this means my immune system is improving.

Oh to be in the South when summer's here. Heat and Hurricanes!!!
But apparently, this heat is no stranger to the rest of America, except for Alaska.
Let's hope there won't be any forest fires. Wonder how much $$$$ is lost in Colorado.

Hi Susan! What are you up to today?

LK, I saw Dylan's latest picture on FB. He's absolutely the perfect looking, cutest little fella!!
Heather must have a difficult time shopping at stores, with so many strangers stopping her and commenting on Dylan! I would!

Marion, how are you dahlin'? Got the perfect recipe for alcohol-free mint julep for you.

6 mint leaves, rinsed
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. cold water
3/4 c. lemon juice
4 c. fresca (or any flavor of lemon-lime soda pop)
2 c. ginger ale
1. Place sugar, water and lemon juice in large bowl. Mix until sugar dissolves and add mint leaves. Let sit for 1 hour. Fill a large pitcher with ice and pour sugar, lemon juice mixture over ice. You can discard the mint leaves at this time. Or you could leave them in if you wanted a stronger mint flavor. Add fresca and ginger ale.
Serve and enjoy with your favorite JD, and I don't mean Jack Daniels!

I am feeling better but no JD pillow!! I am mad right now about his latest decision with his life. Therefore he is banned from my bedroom. :-)

Kathy, so sorry Annie is sick..please do pick her some honeysuckle vines for her health.

We are expecting the triple digits for tomorrow and Sunday. Not what I want right now!!! Speaking of the fires in Colorado..say a prayer for Barb's son and his family as they have been evacuated and so far don't know the status of their home. I can only imagine the feeling they must be having now.

Going to Bainbridge this afternoon with Kim to deliver a cake that was ordered. Not the same as going to Canada. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion, that's typical of most males. They're sitting on their brains!!!
I guess the attraction for Amber is her bisexuality? Could be envying his BFF's relationship with Jolie?

Have a tolerable drive, Marion.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Barb, prayers just sent for your son and his family.
Prayed for their safety and that their home untouched.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Glad you're feeling better Marion.......... no JD pillow? I don't follow the "exploits of the stars" so have no idea what he's done......

Kathy - I have some honeysuckle for poor annie........... If you can get here, I have Lots!

Marion - a road trip's a Road Trip. I'm not getting that either, so Enjoy for me, k?

Jaye - it's garbage pickup day, so I've been out sweeping my driveway (loads of lilac petals!!! and seeds blown in from the trees!), plus trimming out the Yarrow from my flower garden - stuff grows like weeds!! The yarrow takes over and overshadows everything...... yikes! Now I have lots of garbage for the guys to take away mmmmmmmwahahahaha

Tomorrow we're heading out to the dump with a whole bunch of stuff. It's in the same area as that other place we're going, that I mentioned to you yesterday :-(
I'm glad to be getting rid of junk we have in our yard - Bob tends to "collect" things, and when they're not used they turn to garbage (although they're not garbage to begin with - far from it).

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Barb, your son & DIL are still evacuated? Any idea when they can go to their home?
I will continue to pray for them........ how stressful for them!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, you sound mighty "witchy" that you're making the garbage men truly work for their money!! ROFL!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Well, we have specific garbage cans that are lifted by the truck so the two guys in the truck don't have to get out, cuz it even puts it down for them......... talk about a cushy job!! push levers one way - pick up. push lever another way, lower it to the ground.........
When "extra" things are put out, one actually has to get out of the truck and Work!! mmmmmmmmwahahaha
too bad they're aren't "young bucks". I could use some "eye candy" lol

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

im almost out of honeysuckle. gonna have to make a trek in the woods. i called wally, and he said if she isnt better when he gets home from work, he will have a look at her and give her a shot. her temp is 103.9 a little high, but she did take a bottle and eat her vines, so maybe wally is right. he said most likely the heat or a tummy ache

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

awe - heat stroke wouldn't be good for a tiny goat..........
goats eat anything - what could possibly have given her a tummy ache?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

the heat. it is 104 and rising here.
