Mary! ROFLMBO At least those women on there dance well....and with very little clothes on!
Thats Ok because a couple of them men ripped their shirts off tonight. DH asked if I needed the window open to cool off. LOL
Jeanna thinks I should name Bunnykins "Chadwick" after our favorite Elvis movie, Blue Hawaii...the I can say "Chadwick, come and give your mama some sugar".
I already had a Thumper...I can't legitimately name another Thumper. Its just not right.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today??? Chat with friends

Too funny - perhaps I should be watching Dancing with the Men Too ! I mean Stars......

oh - forgot to mention - I got an email today from the Rotary Club. When I went to the Job Fair at "My Sewing Room" and the owner sent an email to me afterwards telling me about a position with the Rotary Club, I applied.
I got a return email from them, letting me know they've received the resume from me, and will be sending all resumes to the District Leaders and from there they will "short list". They "appreciate my interest". We'll see what happens.
There aren't any Job Fairs that I've found for April - not until May 23rd, so will need to wait for that.
Morning, running late,
Winds did a job on outside garden furniture
Dropped in about 2am to check up on Santa Warren
Sending both he and Dianne prayers!
Gab in a bit!
I have coffee brewing, was up about the same time Betty checking for a post.
Izzy woke up and I let her out, checked the thread and then got back in bed and just tossed and turned.
Coffee is brewing....be back in a bit.
Debbie

Late start this morning - Happy Birthday Bev....
OH Suse, love your dancing...maybe I should put some ribbons on the pole for Bevs birthday dance????
Good morning Barb, how are you doing? I just loved the picture of your DGS with the horse, I love animals (in case you didn't notice) but don't think
I will ever have a horse. OHHHH A miniature pony...wait, that is what Izzy is isn't it?
Debbie
Thirsty here, taking a cup and a slice of Bev's birthday cake..
Yep, getting anxious to hear from Dianne as well..am afraid that the procedures being done on Santa Warren can seriously take a toll on him..
Barb, hope today is a pain free day..
Jean, don't think my boys ever had guineas..
Oh Debbie, you absolutely need a pony..next time you are desperate from Paul being home for a length of time, get one..just think how much fun he'd be..you love kids, you would have every kid in the neighborhood visiting Auntie Debbie.
Paul is here today, all dressed in a suit, looks so distinguished, more he ages more I think it's how Roger would look..often look at his hands..they have the same hands..bit odd isn't it! He's going on vacation next week so hopefully I'll start working from home for the 6 work days starting Thursday.
Still trying to find someone with a truck as I just called Greg, said he wasn't sure next time he would be passing Barrie but would pick them up in the next week or so..drats, wanted them home Thursday lol
Suse you asked about my Canada Geese
It is a metal yard art..post choice is 10 or 12 feet with a large metal base...from the pole (and no Debbie you cannot dance around it when you come for the gathering!!!!!) hangs a 5" wide steel arm that has 3 Canada Geese at one end and at the other end a balancing rock..slightest breeze and it will look like they are flying. The store keeper says the geese have a span of about 5' so cannot put in trunck even with seats down..not likely a van either so truck a must... Greg must just love me, always asking him to do something..made sure I told him it wouldn't come in boxes likes the back deck furniture did that took him an entire night to put together lol
Going to make he and Jeff a deal..usually Mother's Day both come and do my 'to do' list and don't get to spend time with their family so I'm on a lookout for new gazebo, will ask them to come on the Saturday and put it up and be free on Sunday..now watch it rain the Saturday..hmmm maybe I should wait till the Wednesday before just so I can see what weather will be like before changing the day.
OMG Bev, are they your trees in bloom today??? breathtaking photo as usual.
Did you do something nice for yourself today?
Oh I just love that picture, trees are so beautiful!!!
Bev, you do something special today...you deserve the best.
Happy Birthday, Bev.
Had a cardinal in my kitchen this morning. He didn't stay long. There are quite a few of them around now. They eat the left over dog food and are safe from the eagles here.
Am graually taking care of business and getting ready to go north in two weeks.
I know some of you have Accuquilts. Do you like them? I'm thinking of buying one.
Got the dish and receiver for TV. Now I need to find someone who can install and adjust the dish. There's always something.
Saying lots of prayers for Warren. Still working on my appointment for surgery. Should be able to handle it when I'm in Ca. if not sooner.
Still in pain. Usual mix of pain, depression and tiredness. I put one foot in front of the other as best as I can and lie down when I can't move. Got lots of books and will have TV soon (I hope).
hugs, katie
((((((((((((Katie)))))))))))))
Let's hope Katie that the 2 weeks will go quickly and you can deal with the pain..do you think it would help to let them know you will be in the area and perhaps they could schedule for same time.
Even with satelite will you have to pay monthly programming fee??
Even though I do not WATCH t.v. I do have one on in almost every room (bad me) but it's for company rather than my having to watch it..but, don't think I could do without one..not sure how you do it!
Keep up the one foot ahead of each other, best any of us can do.
Katie, I have an accuquilt cutter, because I won it, and I don't think I would have. Ought one, as the dies are pretty pricey. You need a different die, for each type of design you want. Plus all the complaints I have read on Facebook, about the blades in the cutters dulling too fast, that makes me not to buy any of them.
On the other hand, sorry Lindakay, yes I would buy another, I've used mine quite a lot, mostly for rag quilts..what the cost is the plastic sheeting that goes over the material..one large rag quilt and there goes the sheeting..for the rag size die it's 7.99 but cheaper and easier than cutting all those rag cuts by hand.
I also use the 5" square quite a bit..am looking to see their new dies, one is especially for my area..snowflake/christmas designs and mapleleaf/acorns...but then I'm a gadget person.
and Betty - your mom has come by to cut her rag quilt on your Accuquilt cutter, right? So, it serves more than just your use.
Yes, she has cut 2 Susan..
Fretting about Santa Warren and Dianne.
yessssssssss - we haven't heard from Dianne...... maybe she's getting some well-earned rest, after whaling into them at the hospital?!?!
I haven't heard from Dianne either. Thought she would chime in. She is in a predicament as she has SW at the hospital, and her fur babies needing care home also. I am praying she got their friend Steve to help out. IF they put the chest tube in W as was needed, they won't discharge him with that in I don't believe.
I just pray she is OK and not run herself down also, her headaches are so so bad when she gets them.
Debbie
Not surprising she gets headaches, with all that's going on with SW
Dianne - if you see this (((((((((Dianne & SW))))))))))
I'm thinking maybe she will stay close by Warren..times like this is when we all wish we lived closer so we could all help out!
Popping in to see if Dianne has checked in? No, I see there's still no word ...
I'll just leave hugs&prayers for her and SW then ...
Betty, oooh love love love the geese! ☺
What's wrong with our Debbie now? Have I missed something? I went back and couldn't find it ...
Bev, so glad you've had a good Bday. You shared it with my sweet Kotagirl. She was my last guide dog. I had to put her down in Feb of 2010. I can finally breathe now ... I have my wonderful Moses now. ☺
Speaking of which, when we went for our walk today, I forgot to put a water in my purse. It was so hot! When I got to the mall, I decided to stop at the coffee shop to get him a large water in a cup. When I walked in, the girl behind the counter said "Do you want a large Latte?" I think that means I go there waaay too much when they know what I order! LOL I hadn't planned to get anything ... I was soooo hot, but she was so nice, I sat down and had one. Got Moses a water to go ...
Okay, will check back before I hit the sack to see if Dianne has checked in ...
Hello To All...
Saying prayers for Dianne & Santa Warren....hoping we hear something soon.
Happy Birthday Bev ! Love the cake, flowers, singing and dancing ! Glad you are having a good day.
Remember MIL had called us to her house... a cyst in her kidney. She went in for consult/surgery today. They are going to take the kidney out.
Then tells me... her surgery is MAY 28th!!?!?!*#(&)@. (Disney... 5/25 - 6/1? no trip insurance, trip paid for?)
Hubs told me she may try to get the date changed. I so torn. don't know what to do. LOVE my MIL......
Suse, no problems with me...all is well. Well, I got problems but thats another story ! hehehe
Mary - that just Sucks!
Here's hoping the surgery can be "bumped up" to an earlier date. I'd be torn too..............
I wonder how long her recovery would be for - pretty major surgery! Of course your hubs would want to be there for her, as will you........
Got something interesting to tell you - just got this in email:
What is the main ingredient of WD-40 ?
Before you read to the end, does anybody know what the main ingredient of WD-40 is? Don't lie and don't cheat. WD-40. Who knew; I had a neighbor who bought a new pickup. I got up very early one Sunday morning and saw that someone had spray painted red all around the sides of this beige truck (for some unknown reason). I went over, woke him up, and told him the bad news. He was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do.... probably nothing until Monday morning, since nothing was open. Another neighbor came out and told him to get his WD-40 and clean it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully and did not harm his paint job that was on the truck. I'm impressed! WD-40 who knew? ; 'Water Displacement #40'. The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a 'water displacement' compound.. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40. The Convair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts. Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you... When you read the 'shower door' part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It's a miracle! Then try it on your stove top .... Viola! It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.
WD-40 uses:
1. Protects silver from tarnishing.
2. Removes road tar and grime from cars.
3. Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.
4. Gives floors that 'just-waxed' sheen without making them slippery.
5.. Keeps flies off cows.
6. Restores and cleans chalkboards.
7. Removes lipstick stains.
8.. Loosens stubborn zippers.
9. Untangles jewelry chains.
10. Removes stains from stainless steel sinks.
11. Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill.
12. Keeps ceramic/terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing.
13. Removes tomato stains from clothing.
14. Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots.
15. Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors.
16. Keeps scissors working smoothly...
17. Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes.
18. It removes black scuff marks from the kitchen floor! Use WD-40 for those nasty tar and scuff marks on flooring. It doesn't seem to harm the finish and you won't have to scrub nearly as hard to get them off. Just remember to open some windows if you have a lot of marks.
19. Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly! Use WD-40!
20. Gives a children's playground gym slide a shine for a super fast slide.
21. Lubricates gear shift and mower deck lever for ease of handling on riding mowers...
22... Rids kids rocking chairs and swings of squeaky noises.
23. Lubricates tracks in sticking home windows and makes them easier to open..
24. Spraying an umbrella stem makes it easier to open and close.
25. Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as vinyl bumpers.
26. Restores and cleans roof racks on vehicles.
27. Lubricates and stops squeaks in electric fans
28. Lubricates wheel sprockets on tricycles, wagons, and bicycles for easy handling.
29. Lubricates fan belts on washers and dryers and keeps them running smoothly.
30. Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools.
31. Removes splattered grease on stove.
32. Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging.
33. Lubricates prosthetic limbs.
34. Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell).
35. Removes all traces of duct tape..
36. Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain.
37. Florida's favorite use is: 'cleans and removes love bugs from grills and bumpers.'
38. The favorite use in the state of New York, WD-40 protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements.
39. WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a little on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that purpose. Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are not allowed in some states.
40. Use it for fire ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch.
41. WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray on the mark and wipe with a clean rag.
42. Also, if you've discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and rewash. Presto! The lipstick is gone!
43. If you sprayed WD-40 on the distributor cap, it would displace the moisture and allow the car to start.
P.S.. The basic ingredient is FISH OIL.
Hi...
Stopping in to say/sing

(((((((((((Mary)))))))))))))))))
Suse, don't you be walking in that heat and get sun stroke..if I remember you aren't far from the mall?? I got to meet Kotagirl..next trip Moses. What kind of latte?
Mary, oh no, poor thing must be terrified..I assume when you say they are taking the kidney it means cancer?? No wonder you are torn, so excited about the Disney trip and now this! You wouldn't want MIL to put off the operation as they are moving so quickly..must be life threatening to leave it in. But, if she could have it changed just by a few days would allow you to get home...
Lordy , what to do? What is hubby thinking? she will want you to go regardless, that is mothers do.
No bingo winning..Ann just left, hand where the kittie bit her is a bit better..I was firing dragonflies in the kiln, thought. Could do 4 at a time but not, best I can do is 2 because of wing span..think the girls left 12.. Told Ann we'd have to sit and gab while I watched over the firing..just want them to tack and soften the edges and not flatten, you know me, get doing something else and I'd forget so we both stood there until it was done and up we came..
What friends, said I had been looking for 2 canvas paintings in red/black/white for my bedroom and couldn't find anything I liked..well tonight she came and got 2 canvas and will paint something for me..
Am excited to see what!
Cross posted Judy...ahhh sorry your week is not going well! Sending hugs..we've been missing you..you will feel much better once you get to Wiscounsin and light your fire..ooops the me outside. Lol
Ohh happy birthday Norm, sending you a timmies..lol wish. Could!
((((Mary))))) Praying it all works out well. I don't think her moving it to June 2nd would be any harm to her, and she should understand. IF it was urgent, she would have it out within the next week or two, not over a month away...that six weeks wait almost.
((((Judy)))) Hugs...miss you
Debbie, were you snuggled in with bunny all day..was it a well deserved day of rest?
Susan, nodding off so will read the wd40 post when my brain will absorb it..
Sleep well my friends!
