Will do the same..
***SWEET INTERRUPTIONS***237
Just got home from Sue and Tim's.
Course there were HUGS.
All things considered it was a good day.
We took up some plants for the two Memory Gardens and of course brought plants (and eggs) home.
We stayed busy, went out for lunch and talked a lot.
I even played fetch w/ Lucy! Though she thinks it's keep away.
We decided not to do the vigil as we felt Sue and Tim needed that time for themselves.
I think Sue will sleep tonight.
She's about done in.....
Well, vigil or not, I will light a candle for Sue & her family tomorrow at Church
I'm glad Sue's sleeping - it will help heal her mind.
So good of you to be with her, Ric - and I can picture you playing fetch with Lucy - I'll bet Sue enjoyed watching that lol
Thanks for the update on Sue, and thanks for the HUGS! Sounds like you had a good visit!
May it be a happy and blessed Easter for all...
thanks everyone
it was a nice service
lots of people showed up. Her friend Amanda is a wonderful girl to do this and to be Jessica's voice in all this.
We saw friends and talked with them . The media was there but we asked them to respect our privacy and they did.
We will talk to the media but not at this time yet. Just to early for us.
it sure was strange seeing her name on the poster they made with the words " RIP Jessica " it was surreal .
Today is a bad for me , as i look at her poster and flowers people sent. Just strange i guess. I m a bit angry at her for dying but i guess that is normal ?
thank you all
sue
(((((((((SUE))))))))) so glad the service went well. I also lit a candle last night.
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!!
Glad to hear it was a nice service for Jessica. (((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))
Happy Easter Everyone!
Glad you attended Sue and got to see the love her friends expressed for her. Yes, anger is part of the grieving process..it will be a roller coaster ride of emotions..you'll be having a wonderful day and suddenly a thought, an emotion will come to the surface...nothing of what you feel is wrong, it's best that you don't try to suppress your feelings..in the long run it will help you in the healing process!

Happy Easter to you all !
Rick and I to had our own Candle Light Vigil last night.
Cindy the tire planters are wonderful,I had posted on my FB page the same thing about recycling tires. I would have to say Sweetie the last plant is a Hosta http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=hosta&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&searcher%5Bgrex%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search Check it out ,maybe you can find the one you have.
Sue, I wholeheartedly agree with Wise Betty's post up there.
And I agree with Synda on the plant, Cindy. It's cupped and shaped like a hosta.
Off to a start on a hosta bed, eh?
Watermelon? More like P sistah!!!
Blessed day it is today. The day our Lord has Risen.
Hmmm Hosta huh, cool I have a few Hostas and perfect place for them. Other half of yard is in full shade with about an hour of early morning sun.
Jaye, I know lol Watermelon is red but that is what it said on the can.
Cindy, I agree, that looks like a hosta. Love the "watermelon" tires!
g'day everyone - Happy Easter/Resurrection Sunday!!!
Well, Easter celebrations are over for another year.
Picked up my friend at 6:10 am and went to the Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30. Afterwards dropped her off and picked up DH and we went to a free breakfast they put on for the 3 churches that attended the Service. Bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, pancakes, OJ, coffee/tea, 4 kinds of fresh fruit. Delish!!
At 10:00 went for choir practice for the service at our Church at 10:30.
Afterwards took another friend and went grocery shopping at WM, then get gas for the car.
Now I have a Pork Loin roast in the slow cooker - guess we're eating at 7:30 pm LOL It's just Bob & I for dinner, but will have leftovers - 4 lbs of pork loin will do for awhile LOL
All this on 1/2 hour sleep last night LOL
can some one explain the different color clothes on the crosses in front of churches ?
black , purple and then they do white ? can't remember just wanted to explain to my DH.
i thought i knew but ???
black = day he was sacrificed ?
purple= ?
white = day he risen ?
thanks for all the kind words from you all.
today was a bad day for me. so much sadness in my heart . first i was numb from shock and devestation but its like completely a feeling of sorrow of missing a person. i mean so intense !! like a hollowed out part of me ?
but we kept busy today.
hugs
sue
Purple is for Lent
White is for Easter - 7 weeks (Easter, plus 6 more Sundays to end of week on last week)
Black is for Good Friday and Holy Saturday
Red is for Pentecost (1st Sunday after Easter weeks are over)
Green is for day after Pentecost for 14 weeks, then it's Red until the 20th week, then it's still Pentecost, but changes to Green until the end of November - longest season of the Christian Church)
Blue all of December up to and including the 23rd.
White for Dec 24th to the 2nd Sunday in January
Green for Epiphany (until Lent, which starts on Ash Wednesday, and is Purple again)

Thanks for clarifying the colors, Susan.
Sue, I wrote a long reply telling you of my experience when I lost mum, so suddenly and how I buried myself in work.
After rereading my post, your pain is far greater than anyone could imagine.
My mum died.. that's it.. the end.
But you poor dear, the courts, the media.. will be forcing you to relive Jessie's death.
All this on top of the personal emotional turmoil you'll be going through.
I wish I can take away some of that pain, Sue.

Morning, sending prayers and hugs to you Sue and Jaye!
Morning!!
Good way to start the day with a hug! Thanks Betty.
Well then, hugs everyone ^_^
I can't believe neither Good Friday nor the Monday after Easter is a public holiday.
Some other countries that have the majority as Christians, are enjoying a Monday off.
Not that I'm missing anything, but would be nice to have another long weekend off for the working families.
Sistahs, I'm off for the WHOLE day that is, from here :D Got errands to run!
Morning everyone!
Don't work too hard Jaye!
Good morning! The days are going to be a little cooler (I'm not complaining) and I'm going to get an extra lift with a hair cut and perm this afternoon. I always feel better with a new look, at least for a couple of months. If only they could figure out how to stop my hair from growing for at least 6 months at a time.
Have gotten my plants ready to take to our gardening RU. All succulents as it seems I have a hard time killing them. Hoping to come home with a few new ones. Late in getting my garden space ready for my veggies, have to work on that this week as DH has 3 doctor appointments next week and that sure does mess up one's day. Of course, getting good news makes it all worth it.
lol I didn't realize the "colours of the Church" until I moved here and got involved in our Church......
Now I not only know there Are colours to their seasons, but I know what they Are lol
There's a calendar the United Church puts out that has coloured numbers on it, with a description on the days, so I have a handy reference.
well, the kids moved out saturday, came back sunday for dinner, returned today to steal my other computer and hit me up for money. the cable man comes today and they are broke. i should have just kept them living here. would have been cheaper,
lol Kathy........ but now you "mostly" have your privacy, right?
Sounds like my kids! I finally had to say that is enough, you moved out to be on your own, now earn enough money to support yourself!
lk, my husband bought her a car, put new tires on it, and had it tuned up. he told her that is all we are doing, after all she has lived here 2 years rent free. she just don't seem to listen
and yes the quiet is nice at times
As long as you keep giving, they will keep asking. Tough love is hard, but you have to draw that line somewhere.
just got back from the eye specialist. he lazered scar tissue of the new lens implant. he says go to my eye dr., get new glasses and i should be good as new.
yes lk, it is hard to say no.
yaaaaaaaaaay - your eyes are cured, with glasses.....
Are you getting glasses or contacts?
getting new glasses. can't wait to see the real world!
Pegi, hope your temp stays bearable, to celebrate your new 'do. You're right about feeling better after your hair's been pampered.
Want to get a straw bale garden going, but it looks like it's gonna be a late one.. maybe I'll just do potted eggplants! What veges do you have in mind Pegi?
Maybe it's meant for you to be late for a vege garden. No telling what you'd be bringing home from your RU.
Still continue to pray for Darwin's health and also that he's not getting on your nerves too often. I'm certain he'll get good news from the doctor.
Sis Kathy, I'm so glad that you're getting the necessary peace at home. What would your daughter do if Mike and you are not around? Of course, she'd learn to do it all by herself.
You both need a long vacation away from everything!!!
Praise God you'll be getting "new" eyes. Maybe that's why you've been getting severe headaches.
Hi Susan. I pray you get good positive feedback tomorrow.
It wasn't that hectic for me today LK. Actually, having a high 70s weather helps my mood. When I got home, I tended to some more cutting.. tend to the garden for a while when my sis Carolyn came visiting. And now I'm cooking chicken rice for the kids outside.
Nope, didn't forget to get their food, but Kel took off for work just now, with 2 bags of cat food and 2 boxes of Hambone's food sitting in the back of the truck!!
Thank God for chicken bouillon cubes. Throw them in with the rice, and I know the fur kids think they're getting a treat tonight!
Jaye - me too. Thanks for keeping us in your prayers.
Kathy, glad to hear you got your eyes fixed, and new glasses on the way!
Jaye, your furr babies will be having a great treat tonight for sure.
lol Kel - come baaaaaaaaa-ack!! Jaye - is that his lunch now? LOL
