Good to hear from you Sue... stay strong, sistah... lots of prayers going up for you and your family.

At our house, we didn't get the brundt of the storms... just some torrential rain and wind for about 20 mins...
Fort Worth, Arlington, and Grand Prairie got most of the damaging storm. My son was in Fort Worth when it came through, and said he saw a 18 wheeler tractor trailer lift up off the pavement and was blown across the road... he got off the road really quick and sheltered in a truck stop. Don was at American Airlines Center when it came through there, and they evacuated the stadium to the lower level... where the broadcast trucks set up... so, he was delayed by about 3 hours... nothing serious happened there though. The news said that over 150 homes were destroyed in the Dallas area.. and only 40 minor injuries were reported... not even one death. What a miracle that was. A nursing home was flattened, and even the residents there came out unscathed. God was really looking out for us all this time.

Yea !!! So glad Sammy is home... bet he'll get all the pampering he can stand now.

My granddaughter is staying with me this week. She works just 15 mins from my house, so she's going to hang out with me in the evenings. I so love the company... she's the sweetheart of the bunch too.

Well... she's got a movie going... so I think I'll go watch it with her.

bj stay safe and i m so glad your all safe ! what a scare .

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ah Sue - isn't it Great to have family and a furry around when you need 'em? Blessings on you, Tim, the twins, and Lucy (the super hero dog!). Yes, it's true - Gigi is in no more pain, either physically or emotionally. ♫♪Praise God from whom all blessings flow......♫♪

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

o my BJ - to think of the nursing home being flattened and No Injuries! You're so right - God was looking out for y'all!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue, so glad to hear from you, and I agree, stay strong. We are all with you in Prayers and spirit!
Bj, so glad to hear from you too. Glad to hear you had no damage. I have been watching the storms hit the Dallas area, and what a mess it is!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I just got an email from a friend in Ft Worth - she was at work when it happened and was worried about her home - no damage thank God. She said they all had to gather in the center of the building at work, listening to the wind and hail...... so glad they're alright..........

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

SUE!!! so good you are hanging in there, sweetie!! Like BJ said stay strong & stay busy. Having a greenhouse is a huge job. Jeez I have this little dinky thing and am checking things twice a day everyday!! I always forget to take my glasses off, so first thing when I step in I'm blinded with fogged up glasses, lol. When Doug gets cold I tell him go stand in the hot house.

Took Taylor shopping for Easter. Thought it would be better if she picked out what she'd like than me fixing her a basket of candy. So I took her to Hobby Lobby, thinking she would want to get some craft stuff. LOL that store was HUGE!!!!! I was more interested in the gardening stuff than the craft stuff. If you're in the froggie swap LK is doing you saw the FROGS!!! OH man it was so hard to resist. Luckily I had my debit card that doesn't have much on it, (I set a limit) and I was shopping for Taylor's Easter. I did buy a small frog for my buddy.
Taylor decided she wanted clothes. So we went to Justice, just for girls. Oh my gosh what cute clothes. She picked out a top and skort, then we went to Old Navy where she picked out cute pink tank top with ruffles all over the front, shorts and two plain colored tank tops.

While cleaning out the middle bedroom I came across this teapot. Was going to make a candle in it until I looked at the bottom and notice a marking. I started a thread asking if anybody knew anything about it. Both responses I got I had already found on the internet. What I want to know is exactly what this pot is worth. It is in mint condition as far as I can see, but then I'm blind as a bat and my glasses aren't strong enough. I had noticed on another antique forum that FLStu had answered some questions. So I dmailed him, am waiting to hear back from him. I'm hoping it is worth a good chunk I need a new hearing aid and Doug needs glasses and a hearing aid. UGH!! It sucks to get old ^_^

But the good thing about getting old is you usually have old treasures around the house, that will bring in $$ LOL
Time for a trade-off (old treasures for newly treasured hearing and sight) LOL

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Where did you find the tea pot Cindy? Hope you can find a dealer to sell it to.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! What were you two up so late for?

Fresh coffee is on, with sweet orange rolls!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, thanks for the coffee. I'm being bad this morning, got some sour cream donuts. They're so good by Krispy Kreme.

Sue, you coming over, is good therapy! You know you can say anything that comes to mind, even if it's a "Can't say anything today".
You hurt, we hurt... so be assured that we all are here for you.
And of course, the Lord has never left you.
It's a blessing in disguise that Tim's not overseas nor on the roads working, now. Lord has His reasons after all. You're having Tim during this crucial time, will ensure that you WON'T succumb to constant despair.
By the way, we won't let you. ((((((((((((Sue))))))))))))

BJ, I saw on the news where an 18 wheeler was tossed in the air!
So glad that you're okay. I'd call you today if I hadn't seen your post this morning.
That's a miracle with not one injuries.

Cindy, a reputable antique dealer may help appraise it, or buy it from you.
Hope it fetches you good $$$! It's a pretty pot.

Sue, I have an old treasure in my house, but it won't fetch any $$. I'm sure my value is in the cents!! :P

Betty, Sue was telling me yesterday that she's glad she's in Canada. No tornadoes, no hurricanes..
She's implying that Canada's practically God country.
Maybe we should all move to Canada. But what province should be the choice?

Hey Crissy!!! If yould do iron on transfers, that's okay too!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Almost is Jaye...I always say I live in God's Country-Georgian Bay/place of white rolling sands...

Sue - must be hard to look him in the face - Dear Sistah, I wish I were there to help you take the brunt of it. I know, as a wife and mother that you're the rock everyone is relying on

When God Made Mothers
By the time the Lord made mothers, he was into the sixth day working overtime. An Angel appeared and said "Why are you spending so much time on this one?"

And the Lord answered and said, "Have you read the spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic; have 200 movable parts, all replaceable; run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lap that can hold three children at one time and that disappears when she stands up; have a kiss that can cure anything from a scrape knee to a broken heart; and have six pairs of hands."

The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one. "Six pairs of hands! No Way!" said the Angel.

The Lord replied, Oh, it's not the hands that are the problem. It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have!"
"And that's on the standard model?" the Angel asked. The Lord nodded in agreement, "Yep, one pair of eyes are to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head, are to see what she needs to know even though no one thinks she can. And the third pair are here in the front of her head. They are for looking at an errant child and saying that she understands and loves him or her without even saying a single word."

The Angel tried to stop the Lord. "This is too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish."

"But I can't!" The Lord protested, "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick and can feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand in the shower."

The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, "But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?" Asked the angel.

The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason, and negotiate."

The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like you have a leak with this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."

"That's not a leak." the Lord objected. "That's a tear!"

"What's the tear for?" the Angel asked.

The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride."The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride."

The Angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything for this one. You even created the tear!"

The Lord looked at the Angel and smiled and said, "I'm afraid you are wrong again, my friend. I created the woman, but she created the tear!"

LOL Susan how perfect for you to repost that poem. I have the newspaper clipping I am going to frame it!!!!

We had a huge rain storm last night, I think it was the one that was heading up north and into Canada. The Sierras got tons of snow, YAY!!!!! But today is beautiful sunshine but chilly brrrrrrrrrrrr high 50's

Been walking around gathering up all my daughter's flower pots. I have so many seeds, so I'm taking them home
and going to get seeds started in them. Now if she will only remember to water them ^_^

Ok off to paint some of my pots, to decorate front yard with. Got some tires going to paint those too, making strawberry planters out of them

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, have you seen these tires on facebook?

Thumbnail by taters55
Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

wow LK - pretty! Those primary colours look really good together

Susan that you so much for that. perfect

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

It's no less than what you deserve, Sue - to be reminded that you are God-made, and therefore Perfect in HIS eyes. Even with all your "leaks" lol

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yes LK I did. Such a neat way to repurpose tires rather than toss on the roadside like so many people do. I have two I found in the orchard where we take the dogs to chase rabbits. Then my neighbor has some he is taking off of rims. I'm going to paint the ones for the strawberries, Jaye's favorite color..................... PINK,lol.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

(((((((((((Sue)))))))))))))
Yes, you've been on my mind a lot, that's why I refer to Susan as you!!
Sorry Susan. Promise not to subconciously do that.

How thoughtful of that person to send you a Peace Lily, Sue. I'm afraid, that's an individual effort. Whoever you are that did that, thank you.

Well Betty, I am facing hurdles to make my way to your beautiful home, but it's you that I want to see and hug and chat and break bread with. So, maybe if Marion is still holding it next year, I'll get to see you!

LK, will you be seeing Dylan this weekend? His first Easter and I can't imagine the Easter baskets lined up for him!!
Thanks sistah for bringing that report about Ray over.
Faye and DH are always in my prayers.

Sis Kathy, Miss Sunshine looks so happy!! Curious here. What are you feeding Sammy?
When my pooch Ali had kidney issues, I had to get Hill's Prescription Diet KD (kidney disease) from the vet. It's very pricey, lower in proteins and salts, but did prolonged Ali's life.
Maybe you can ask your vet about that?
Don't give Sammy any dried chicken strips, if the bag is marked from China. I've read some online pet blogs that they are oversalted and bad for kidneys.

Cindy any news about your teapot?? I just can't believe you have poor taste in colors!!

the flowers were from our wonderfrul jordoankittyjo
thank you sis
today is grand jury for our case. not a trial yet.
things are going ok i guess.
a few news channels have interviewed him... uhg sick sick.
T&P for Ray and his family.
well lots to do today

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers of Strength to get you through today Sue! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))

Kathy, thanks for sending Sue the pretty plant!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Why must tv stations interview him??? They are so sick to give him attention, Sue.

Well, Kel caught another cold. So anything that I got to do that involve 'swaps' like cutting fabric.. comes to a screeching halt.
He will have to start taking Multi Vits if he wished to continue working 2 jobs. Too stubborn to do anything about his health. I thanked him for giving me ample warning to raise his life insurance.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

just took sammy for a check up. he has gastritis like i do, so thats why hes not eating so good. his kidney values look good, so he goes back again next friday

Glenview, IL

Dearest Sistah Sue,

Please know My Arms have been, still are Wrapped around you. (((((((((((((((((((((((Sue and Family))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I am so very sorry to hear the news of Jessie.

You have been in thoughts and prayers...I am so glad to know you have been finding some comfort in gardening. OH goodness thanks be for weeds to be a fantastic form of therapy! lol at least they are good for something...I have been doing much the same, taking out my anger over this on the weeds!

Thank God you are able to come and gather some loving support from all your friends and Sistahs here at Daves.

Thank God the People have been caught! I normally do not wish bad on people but i hope these people are nailed with
the death penalty and they all just rot...

Ok, well my anger is flaring again!!

Thank you Sistah Jaye for letting me know personally.
Thank you Ric, for the updates and Just being there for Sue...

Waiving hi to everyone.

Going to see if i can get hired at the local Harley Davidson store.

Love you All and miss you so much.
