Judy, I have tried to call you several times, and all I get is a busy signal! Glad to see you posting, hope you had a good vacation? Good luck at the job interview!
Jaye, sorry to hear about Kel having another cold! Get out the can of lysol! Must be all the germs from where he works? Maybe give him one of those white mask's to wear!
***SWEET INTERRUPTIONS***237
LK, that's what I invest in!!! Cans of Lysol in EACH room. LOLOL.. you swear we need a Lysol armor!
Besides being overwork, he's just too freakin' stubborn to eat healthy, LK. He's addicted to his diet sodas. I don't allow that in the house, but he guzzles them outside. He won't eat his veges unless it's fried potatoes... oh that man.
I'll ask him about the mask at work.
Sis Kathy, ask the vet about Hill's (KD) Prescription diet. You can't get that at regular stores.. only thru' vets or PetSmart with a Rx.
Good luck on that job Sistah Judy. Love ya!!
Good Morning Ladies,
LOL Jaye I don't care for PINK either, but outside in the garden is a okay, lol. Besides it was the only color of paint I had on hand at the time. I came up with a neat idea for my tires and strawberries just hope it works ^_^ so I am anxious to get home as the weather is going to be awesome for working outside. We are not doing anything special for Easter, Doug is going to play golf so I am going to work outside undisturbed YAY!!!
My 17 grandson is being a total BRAT!!! He is angry because his grandpa died, and his dad is a big time alkie/druggie lazy loser poor excuse of a father. So my grandson takes it out on my daughter :( She has done everything to make him happy but he blames her for everything that goes wrong. I want to say something to him but it is not place to, BUT if he ever hits his mom you bet I will beat his butt for him!!!
Judy!! a job at HD, oh that would be soooo cool!!!!! I love HD clothing but dang it is so pricey.
Ok Ladies more flower pots to paint ya all have a good day!
Happy painting Cindy! I have pots that need painting and soon I hope to get out there and "get ur dun". Pulling weeds has always been good therapy for me and the more I pull the more that grow. No plans for Easter here so I may be out playing in the yard too.
Jaye, I have the laziest DH around (I helped with that addiction) and if I didn't put veggies on his plate he wouldn't eat them either. I don't have little ones to tell them to clean their or no desert so I tell DH instead. He does love salads though, but then wants blue cheese dressing on it. I love veggies so he has to eat what I fix or go hungry. LOL He is just too lazy to fix himself something to eat and I'm pretty tired of it too.
Hi everyone - feeling "draggy" today, so going to have my online experiences today minimal.
Went to Bible Study today, spoke to the pastor afterwards (re: mine & DH's personal situation we're trying to resolve), going to Maundy Thursday service tonight (night before Good Friday), then Good Friday service tomorrow am (we're in the choir, so need to arrive 1 hr early to practice with the massed choir of 3 churches), then Sunrise Service on a hilltop Easter Sunday, followed by a pancake breakfast put on at another church, then our regular service at our church......... phew - getting tired just looking at all that's going on this weekend!!
I have been using PREEN and it works!! No weeds what so ever to pull!!! They now have it with plant food in it for just a $1 more so I picked up some of that instead of just the weed killer.
Pegi dear. Kel will leave the veges, except for potatoes, on the plate.
Salad? He'll only have lettuce and 1 bottle of Ranch dressing, when there's spaghetti. Old habit developed from his HS cafeteria. I know.. YUCK!
I rarely do desserts, but I am suspicious of what he consume when I'm not around. He's diabetic too, but on Metformin.
I got tired following your itenary, Susan!!!
Thanks for the heads up on Preen with the plant food. Will get some next weekend Cindy.
Spoke to Marion, and she and her DD will be heading home tomorrow. Her mother has lost the use of her arms, and as for the UTI, it's still being treated.
Told her not to worry about being online, to take care of real life. But I'm sure if JD were to greet her tomorrow, she'd be fast to let us know about it.. tired or not!!!
Sue, stop reading further.
Sistahs.. come on over..
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1250777/
ok no reading. any further.
well we got good news today ... we are getting the aggrevated murder. that carries death penalty he has 9 counts on him.
so we are happy about that.
saturday there is a memorial at her apt , candle light vigil. i hope to be there but if there are news media out , i may have to watch from a distance. we are just not ready to make a comment as the media has tried to contact us.
I can't believe how many people are supporting her ! i was told it goes all the way to the UK !!! oh if she only realized how much she was loved when she was alive ...
Honestly i don't know if i can control myself if the media find me ? LOL
i am so humbled by all your generosity !!! o h i hold back tears as i type this.
your all so wonderful as many many others on DG have been so kind and gracious
many many many hear felt thank you's and many many hugs to everyone
sue, tim, austin , savannah and Jessica. may she rest in peace and look down upon us all and feel our love for her. Her spirit will live on in all our lives .
Sue, so glad they have so many charges against him! Sending prayers you can have a quiet candle light service for her!
I wish I can hug you Sue for I see your tears.
I'll pray for easy days ahead for you and your family.
Besides the support of Tim, Savannah, Austin and Lucy, know that we will always be with you in spirit.
That devil and his demon friends will have to face the Lord. I believe they won't get that chance. Hell is waiting for them.

((((((((((Sue)))))))))))) If you're not reading this, then Jaye will tell you:
So glad he's gotten the judgement (from earth) that he has. He will stand in judgement from the Most High Judge next......
Jessica is being cared for, in HIS loving arms as you work through what you need to, in her behalf.
Bless all your dear family, they will need God's blessing in the days to come.
As much as I want to be around Sue at this time, I am glad I can't!!
Kel passed the cold on down to me! Yuck!! Think I threw my body out of whack when I coughed just now!
I had never quit drinking hot teas, guess now I had to add honey.
Sue, you're already having a busy schedule, and with the added court appearances.. taking care of Jessie's affairs.. you truly don't need any extra interruptions.
So, you call me when you can. I am NOT in the least hurt that you don't return my call. I am so glad that Ric got hold of you, at least we know you're still capable of some sane thoughts.
I simply cannot wear your shoes, sistah, as I've never lost a child. So take all the time and only when you HAVE the time, to call me back. I'll still have the same house phone number.
It's also raining and the heat's gone! Down to the 60s... good thing it's not lower than that as my tropicals are all outside!
Jaye, you guys need to take your vitamins, and get rid of that darn crud your both sharing! Enough is enough.
here is some garden updates on GIgi garden ( aka Jessica )
here is what i have so far for the sun garden, there is also a fairy shade garden ( my private garden ). The sun garden will be a open to the public garden ( right next to our nursery ) so people can learn about mental illness and if they wish, they can send donations to the shelter that help people with mental illness.
This garden by the nursery is where a birdbath with her remains will be.
white peony
white tall phlox
zebra grass
creeping phlox
purple cone flower
snowball bush/ white viburnum
chinese junipers
a weeping red bud tree. Lavender Twist.
daylilys in mixed colors of white , pinks, purples and some orange's
white daisys ( i got them from darius on DG long time ago and they are just so pretty )
fairy garden is still in the works
but there will be a butterfly jap maple in it. more of a zen theme .
.
Sue, GiGi's Garden sounds like it is going be BEAUTIFUL!!! I hope that when the flowers are in bloom you will post pics so that we all can enjoy it from afar.
I am going home this afternoon. The weather has been bitterly COLD!!! The sun is shining but it is in the high 50's brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr . We had a freeze two nights in a row I just hope Doug knew to move some of the plants up on the porch.
Taking Taylor shopping so we can fix her big brother an Easter basket, lol.
Have a good day Ladies
I agree with Cindy, the garden is going to be beautiful. My sister has a beautiful sun dail urn in her backyard with her son's remains. Five years ago she added my mom's and she said some day she will join them. You can always go out in your garden and Gigi will be there.
That garden will be so lovely Sue.
All year round beauty.
Pegi, I had a memory garden for a dear friend's husband, and it's left behind in Louisiana. In it, I had Ole Timer's rose, an orange rose, a pink camellia (as that's the only flower he loved) and hedychiums lining one side.
Why a memorial for my BFF's DH?
I had coerced my BFF to come along with me to an employee's wedding. When she got home, her DH had had a heart attack.
I felt real bad that she wasn't there when he needs her.
Pssst.. don't we all wish we be Taylor so Cindy can get us Easter goodies??
Sue GiGi's Garden sounds gorgeous! What a great idea, for such a good cause too. I wish I could hug you too, what an inspiration you are!
Robyn and I will be heading up to see Sue and Family tomorrow morning.
Rest assured we will be giving her HUGS.
We will also be bringing a few plant items we found today for the Gardens.
Make sure they are big HUGS from all of us!
Sue, your garden sounds wonderful! Praying you will get lots of customer too!
Ric, if you can't give out 50 hugs, let Robyn help you!!
Thank you so much for finding time to make your way to Sue's.
Sounds like this garden is going to be stupendous!!! And it is such an good thing to get into which keeps you busy but allows you time to remember.....
No closer to the heavens then in a Garden!
Think that is why our roots start in Garden of Eden..
Ric, just know she will welcome you with open arms.
Sue, came across these words and thought of you.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
~From a headstone in Ireland
Betty that is so wonderful. She loved anything Irish !
looking forward to Ric an Robyn visit tomorrow.
well we went to baseball practice tonight.
so i m pretty tired.
Jaye how are you feeling ? is your cold any better. ? i hope so. I think Kel should wash his hands before he comes in to the house ! i do that with my kids LOL
Jess and i will go visit Cookie and go out to lunch all three of us :)
Ladies you know I will be a poor substitute for you but will try my best.... ;-)
Sue and I had been talking all week, in passing, about getting together maybe Saturday.
I told her to set a day or we could be there any time day or night w/ 2 hours notice.
She would know when it was right.
I needed to know she was ready for a visit, had her Turkeys in a Row, shall we say ;-)
(That one's for Sue)
Tomorrow will be the day.
Some of my favorite and most hated quotes come from C.S.Lewis.
This one, I hope, works in this case.
"Crying is all right in its own way while it lasts.
But you have to stop sooner or later, and then you still have to decide what to do.”
― C.S. Lewis
Memory Gardens seem a good place to start.
I'll leave w/ my Signature from Cubits.
I've had a lot of deaths in the last few years.
Parents, my SIL, a dear Gardening Friend and our Beloved Garden Buddy Wu.
This quote from C.S.Lewis sums up my philosophy on Loss.
“The pain I feel now is the happiness I had before. That's the deal.”
C.S. Lewis
Hugs Sue
Safe travels Rici
Ric - thank you for "being there" for Sue when we can't - you're a blessing to Sue and us................

LK, Kel used a mask last night. I told him to ask for it at the nurses' station. He was surprised when was told he's not the only one with a cold. There were a couple from other units.
That man guzzled his vitamins today plus drinking home made lemonade, instead of that false carbonated one, that doesn't have any units of Vit. C.
He's getting the weekend off, so that's good.
As for me Sue, that was the only cough I had for today! Strangely, I'm not all stuffed up. Haven't taken anything, but just my hot chai, with cinnamon and honey.
Ric and Robyn, if you could please hug Austin and Savannah for me.
I'm still in love with Sue's twins!! They are so well behave.
Have a safe trip and again, we're so thankful you both could be there for her.
Good for Kel, using a mask! Maybe those germs will stay at work now? Glad your feeling better too.
Just take all the armwraps sent to you Sue..just feel what you are feeling..you will be the best for it! I'd and Robyn are there for you (and us)
Prayers coming your way!
Thinking of you this morning Sue and sending my prayers as well. Try to enjoy a bit of your visit although I know it is a difficult one. We are all keeping you in our hearts....
Sue I'm thinking of you as well this morning, hope you have a good time. Ric and Robyn thank you for being there, we all really appreciate it.
Enjoy your day Sue!!
Sending lots of prayers with you Sue! (((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))
((((((((((Sue))))))))))))
I'll light up a candle tonight, in memory of Jessie.
((((((((((Sue)))))))))))
And I as well.....sending myprayers to be with you.
