Just got home! Late! DH & I had dinner with some folks

Love all of the wedding memories... Thunder it sounds like you all like the girl, and she makes him Happy, that's #1... so congratulations! and Kudos to him for taking on a new son as well... I've been there done that and it's not easy either way...

Laura - we had a small wedding with lots of kids too.... Dianne GREAT wedding story... and Thunder's sis too... never heard of a Surprise Wedding... That's fabulous !
Crit - I just learned a lot from you... never would have though it would be GOOD for your back... and also didn't know Mules would protect horses (How?). Do you think Hubs will be okay riding for 45minutes even though he has a bad back/knees?

I'm sure they'll give us VERY well trained slow horses for amateurs...

Our Preachers name was Jack Daniels and he had been on Oprah before and he did a great job, Once he realized we were joining 2 families he parted from his speech to talk to the kids and incorporate them into the bond....we had 9 kids there,... THEA-including my Dniece's friend visiting from Germany... because of ME she got to go to Disney during her visit ... and we had 8? adults other than Hubs & I...

Much the same as you Dianne..thank goodness whatever was not put away was frozen in the ground and can't fly away..say squalls will come off Georgian bay at some point..my little car with these Hugh winds will have to do double duty to stay on the road.

Do you have to go out today Dianne? Stay safe if you do..know you have a long drive and it's icy..how did warren enjoy his pork roast?

Furries were out and in within minutes.

Cleaned craft room of stained glass, put sewing machine away, swept and washed floors..all clean..now ready to set garbage out and leave a tad earlier..might even get to timmies for their new extra large coffee's

Betty, all is well....I am just exhausted. First time in two weeks I can put my feet up. DH leaves at 1:00 today for NJ, so I hopefully have 3 days to rest and recoup.

The wind was so bad last night, it had Isabelle up....and I came down here and "slept" on the couch so she would settle down. However those with cats know, you do not sleep on the couch when the cats play Nascar Kitty Races all night long! I look like a raccoon!

Keeping Both of you in my prayers Thunder. May the surgeon's hand be steady and sure and may the anesthesia be all he needs. Praying for a quick recovery.....

Here at work, used a whole bag of kitty litre as to cut the ice on the walkways, went in to get my bag and Darlene called to say they would not come..she didn't sleep well and had a splitting headache...someone has purchased Mike's truck and is picking it up this afternoon..she also has to clean it out and not looking forward to it so likely the reason for headache..hard the first few months getting everything in order and still dealing with transfer of vehicles, property,insurances etc.

Tonight I get to get the sewing machine and stained glass out to work on..oh well spotless house for today! Nice to come home to tonight..Just spoke to Ann, she is not 100% but says she needs to get out and will come over for Bingo tonight. Here I am sneezing like crazy and sniffles, been fighting something since last week, might call and say not a good idea, might pass it on to her again.

Ohhh 3 days of relaxation, maybe I should make my trip this Saturday..feeling the need to get out and do something.Having Buffalo and Debbie withdrawals..lol

Debbie, hear you about the cats..between them and Sailor it's a 3 ring circus half the time and yet the greatest of company.

I just briefly tried to catch up on things. Sorry to hear of the losses and may God be with all of you in this time of need. Please feel the prayers and love coming your way when you need it the most.

I can't tell you I've been over worked cuz I haven't but just don't always want to play with the computer even though I think of you all so often. I try to spend time with my DM and sis when I can and the weather permits.

I've been trying to sort through things and clean. Not much fun but need to start before spring comes so I don't have to think about it when I want to be outside in the flower beds. Actually the winter has not produced much snow here. The ground needs the cover but I don't miss the shoveling or slipping and sliding.

Also for your headaches and your pain in the arm...maybe ask your friends if they know a good Chiro and give that a try...can`t hurt and maybe it will help with your pain issues.

Love all your stories on how you got married!! All so romantic and special! Us too had a JP wedding and it was wonderful...just imidiate family (8 adults and 3 kids)...wonderful meal at a restaurant for lunch and then to our home for afternoon coffee and cake (tradition in Germany) and a beautiful catered Cold buffet for Supper. It will be our 25th Anniversay this March 20th!! Time sure flies!!

Shirley!! So glad to see you post and that you are doing well. It's been way too warm for winter and it's seeming that we've already started spring, it's way way too early! Hope your mom and sis are doing ok.

Debbie you lucky dog! I'm sure the child will be with you but WOW!! You never get this treat!

Mary I wouldn't advise your husband to taking a horseback ride tour with bad knees and back, it doesn't matter how fast the horse goes it's still rough, and remember it has to keep up with the timed tour. If you watch people on TV or whatever who know how to ride, they don't sit on the saddle but move up and down on it to make the ride smoother, your knees have to life you up and down. We went on a 1 1/2 hour horseback ride tour in Maui, my first time on horseback, and oh it was beautiful but my amateur horse was older than the hills and should have been retired, he wouldn't stay on the trail, went on when he wasn't supposed to and stopped when he wasn't supposed to, and fart, OMG every time we went up a hill he would fart!! There was a part of the tour where the horses ran up a small incline, this horse farted all the way up, it was hilarious! At the end of the tour one of the guys had to get me off the horse cause my legs were so sore I couldn't move, there are bowlegged cowboys for a reason. I'll probably do another one though, one where they take you on the beach, that would be AWESOME!!!

LK keep an eye on the sky and the weather, you're in a 30-40% chance of tornadoes today, and we all know how I feel about those!

Crissy, this morning "the child" has classes at the campus, so she "shouldn't" be back home until 11:30 tonight! Usually gets done with class and grabs food, then to work at 1:30. The rest of the week....she goes to work at 1:30...home at 11:30 p.m. so most of the day to myself.

YES! I am looking forward to it. Right now worried about the wind here so DH's flight gets off Ok.

Hi Everyone, Most excellent news / package with pain meds arrived today. I don't ned to go home and go back to bed. I could cry I am so relieved. I consider myself very lucky thqat with my multiple pain issues there is a medication that works well for me. I'm super lucky to be resupplied with it.

tony is finishing the fence to the new garden. Now he can help in the kitchen/lving room and I can put some plants out in the new garden.

I have been almost a month with the meds and it was getting bad. Sleeping far too much. Or was I passed out. Anyway, I can now get the pain down to a manageable level so i can get some work done.

Off to continue the clean up.

By saying you are not overworked, does that mean you are getting some work just not enough..so glad it hasn't been a bad winter so far for you, a lot less demanding physically...I'm thrilled here, only really shovelled once although the plow has been 2 or 3 times..overwhelming to think of all that needs done when you are on your own.

Mary there were all kinds of husbands/wives who waited, when I was done I was wondering why I didn't wait lol!! You can always ask them and they will probably ask both of you if you have any issues with pain, I know we were asked. When I saw that big mule looking horse standing in front of me I said, "I have to get on that????" LMAO!!
