Morning all,

Was so comfy in bed this morning that I did not want to get up..turned over and got 1 more hour of sleep. Clear and cold this morning , wearing sad face, no snow day!

Laura, enjoying the coffee, will be anxiously waiting for update from both you and Barb..

Barb, Ann/Darlene send prayers along with mine today..know we are here for you.

Betty, that is something I never noticed about Disney as Capt. Hook has a beard/moustache...but most that do are bad guys. I was at Disney when I was 18....and spent most time pushing my grandma in a wheelchair, I think I might have done 3 rides...small world, Space mountain and tea cups. Then again when Shannon had her "wish trip" granted by Childrens Hopes and Dreams....and we were limited then also.

I am up and dragging. Did sleep well last night, just not fully awake yet and I have been up since 7:00

I have PT this morning and some errands to run......

Good Morning All!

Just sitting here passing time and thought I'd check in. I don't work too much unfortunately so I really need to find a new job but am hesitant about finding one where I have to stand all the time. I just say prayers that something will come along that works for me. I'm hoping that spring will be brighter in that area. I'm hoping that if I can find a job I can than join you gals once in awhile in a trip to visit. I think that would be great to meet you all in person.

Crissy those are great pictures and thanks for sharing them with us.

Foggy here right now but suppose to clear off and get around 42 so can't complain.

Mother is fair but ready to go home to God and I pray for that when I see her in pain and so weak. Some Dr.'s leave alot to be desired. Oh well, when God's ready she will go. It's hard on my sis, but she does a great job and I try to be there for her cuz it's new territory for her and I sort of know what to expect and help her deal with the decisions that need to be made. My sis from MO may come this weekend to spend time with Mom. I hope she does at that time is limited and I just want her to realize it.

Well, I better go and start on something even if it's wrong. Hope you all have a wonderful day and prayers to all that need them today. God is beside you every step of the way.

Thunder...so glad that your DH's surgery was a successful...wishing him a fast recuperation and NO more pain for him.

What are you all up to today?

I will sew a bit more and then have lunch with my crafter's buddies at a local church and then an afternoon of crafting. Such a hard life!! lol...Wish you could all join us/me!!

Have also some good news to share with you (well for me it is good news!!...lol)...I slept last night for 7 hours straight through the night!!! I can`t even remember the last time that happend. Since this Fibro/backpain and menopause stuff started I could not stay asleep for more then a few hours...then up a few hours then sleep for a bit more...not restful at all.
Well my Daughter's sweet BF told me about ZMA (Zinc/Magnesium/Vit. B6) that some Athletes take to get a good night sleep and to restore muscles...well I gave it a try and OMG it worked!!! Just hope it will continue to work.

Thunder I'm so glad to hear hubby's surgery went well. I'm keeping him in my prayers for a speedy recovery.
Also Laura, I hope you get some answers today.
I found out one reason why the Dr cancelled my surgery. On top of my breathing issues the hospital had an outbreak of Norovirus. Here is a link.

Good morning!!

I'm here, we're going to the house this weekend. I believe only Sabrina and a friend will be joining us. Told her to just escape from this house.
Always a good relaxation up there. It's Anthony's birthday so He and Julia will be going out with friends. And Jacob has a big conference again this weekend.
Last weekend he took Second...Then I think the Regionals begin.

I have been busy getting stuff done. Sent all the invites out and still working on basement. It's getting there!
So, I never did find my wallet, stood on my head looking in car, completely took my bed apart to see if it was hidden under there, So decided it was safe to say...I probably threw it away in a pile of crap. Sunday I read the Rules of the road book cover to cover. Monday DH and I pulled together all needed documents for that and for a a possible loan. Yikes, so much paper, just hope it's worth it! For my drivers license I had to re-new it before my birthday, I guess every 8 years we have to take a written exam as well as the vision...woohoo, passed with flying colors and am now driving legally again. ROFLOL, the guy said, if I loose my DL again, they were going to have to tattoo it to my forehead!!

Well, My goodness, I didn't have to talk to my girl at all!! Turns out she had broken the relationship just after DH asked the Boy to leave. Said she was just tired of his Crap! They were going to remain friends. Then 2 days later, came to find out He cheated on her, while she was in the next room sick!!! Needless to say, even the friendship is over, she loaded the rest of his stuff, met him at a designated spot. I guess he was trying to talk her into taking him back. Whatever he said, she wasn't agreeing, slapped him a couple of times and then he Called her Babe: She punched him in the face and told him she wasn't his Babe! Don't call, don't txt, just don't! Since he's gone, Breenie, looks very well rested, no bags under eyes and just plain relief. She has a full week of classes and is totally immersing into her studies...I've forgotten how "tough" Sabrina really is!!
Personally, We all are so relived he is out of the picture too.

We had MIL Birthday this weekend, so she and S&BIL over for dinner and cake & ice cream, was a nice little celebration.

Now, I am just sewing, spent an entire day working a triangle block! So I drew it out, created a pattern and pieced the first of four and OHWAH-It worked!! Needs a tiny bit of tweeking but, I like it, I like it!!! Today will sew the other 3 and a pinwheel. Hopefully begin on the heart pieces. Then see what else is needed...Oh and Brittany came to see the blocks. She was surprised that I am working individual blocks. She likes everything a lot. LOL, said she thought it was just going to be squares sewn together!!
...Speaking of Brittany, she is moving again. She, her Sister and a friend are sharing a 2 flat apartment. I guess they are moving this weekend...LOL, she promises we will stay in touch, and I told her I'd be glad to baby sit while she works here in Glenview so we'll see!!

Steve and the guys are done with the House around the corner!! Wow, it's adorable for a young couple. So now they will be working with realtors to get an idea of going rates. Now he is working Full time at the Huber house.
OMG, this means, I no longer have to drive Jacob to school in the AM!! DH goes right past the HS so he is now dropping him off, and his lunch break is an hour later, gives me better time to do what I've got slated for the day! I am liking this new schedule!

OH and guess what! I finally got to watch Bridges of Madison County!! I loved it and it did follow the book especially well!!

Well, I have been typing for a while, going to send and start new post to comment on all you have been up to...

Barb so glad the cancelled the surgery! Hope everything goes good at the doc today and they get that crap out of the hospital and you can get r done!

Laura sooooo hoping you find answers for your son today.

Shirley I'm so sorry about your mom, hopefully your sister will be able to get there. I know about job issues, my problem is that this office is lame. I can tell who isn't at work everyday because they talk about whoever isn't here. I got one who won't acknowledge me at all so I don't know what that's about, really don't care, she has to live with the issue, I don't. It seems like the office is too immature for me or something, I just don't understand why we have to have a powwow every morning and talk about whoever isn't in the office that day, it's stupid.

Mary, I am no expert but I know what my physical therapist told me. As long as you walk and don't go into a trot, lope or gallop where you need your legs, I 'm sure your DH would be fine. If we are just walking, I don't even put any weight on my feet so my legs, knees and hips don't bother me. I just move from the waist down with the horse. Very relaxing and enjoyable. I have ridden horses all my life, so do move to the faster paces occasionally to give my horses a workout. Because of my hips I have a saddle with a very low back on the seat. Even then, I am slow with my mount and dismount, but after I get down and start to move I am fine. When I set in one place for very long I get really stiff. I wouldn't advise riding for very long at a time if you aren't use to it. Maybe 30 minutes to start out for a while. I usually ride for an hour to an hour and a half. I feel my closest to God when I am riding.

Rainy and dreary here today. Got 1/2 inch of rain that we desperately needed. Wish we had gotten more! 47* but too dreary for me to ride today. Maybe Thursday, it will be 60 except the wind will be about 15 mph. Will just have to wait and see.

spoke to hubs for a couple minutes, he sounded good. physical therapy came in so I am having another coffee :) and then off I go... I did get a pretty good sleep so I am feeling its a good day.

Barb, we've had a few outbreaks of much the same here at our hospitals..several closed
so thank goodness they cancelled the surgery..wish they would have told you the reason rather than make you worry all week..will be waiting for update along with the others.

Shirley, so very difficult to watch your mom endure the pain and know there is nothing you can do but offer your support and love .. will be a blessing when she goes to our LORD! Let's hope you do find work shortly because we'd all be flying high if you could join us end of June for the gathering at my house...now wouldn't there be hugs to be had!!!!

No winnings LindaKay..actually Darlene forgot it was bingo night and called just before so we gabbed/gabbed and I wouldn't say I have to go..she heard Ann coughing and realized the time..Ann could have easily played my cards and hers for the amount of numbers that we got to put chips on..lordy, cards get worse each and every week.

Bridges of Madison County was an excellent movie..enjoyed it tremendously both times I watched it!

Judy/Judy what a whirlwind you are..so glad the boyfriend episode got worked out BUT wasn't she worried he could press charges when she slapped him???? yikes wouldn't want court appearance and record. So the house will be on the market shortly...are you seeing home listed and purchased in short amount of time...don't know why Judy, thought you were at the cottage last weekend. Congrats to Jacob, I'm excited about knowing and hugging an almost pro wrestler..lol

Betty - Ann and Darlene sure have a good friend in you, and it sounds like Ann's calming quite a bit because of you. How is Darlene doing?

A rough go for sure for Darlene, think Ann is getting stronger and wants to help Darlene so that's a plus..with such recent deaths, both being Mikes, both not working, might be an answer for both. When Darlene called last night she said she was relieved that the truck wasn't in the yard..omg someone got a fantastic deal..1/2 price only 12,000 Kl. on it, all the toys, 4x4, big sucker..she just wanted it gone.

Emailed me this morning to say last night she went on computer and checked Mike's reward points (which he was about to do just minutes before he died so he could get us accommodations) well she got gift certificates for $500 for Best Western Hotels for when we go away..I don't think anyone could imagine how generous, loving and helpful both Darlene and Mike were to me..in some ways saved my life!

WOW Betty that's awesome! Friends like that are hard to find. I bet it is easier not looking at his truck everyday.

What an awesome surprise for Darlene!

Yes, things are going better this week. Dmitriy & I actually had a 1/2 hour personal conversation. He asked my opinon of e-readers and connectivity. Mine doesn't have any connectivity. And told him he would have to watch on the weight, cuz they need to be carried while they're in use........ He's buying one for his wife, he said.
And we talked about a whole range of things after that
Now that I have instructions on what to do, I have no problem doing it right the first time, so I guess that's why he felt he could talk to me without getting annoyed LOL

That is wonderful Susan, maybe some good old gabbing one on one might help!
Can feel it getting colder tonight..decided hot bath, nighty and to bed..even if I don't sleep just relax it will be welcomed.

Hubs is doing good, he sat up for quite awhile today, and went on a few walks :) he is there again tonight, don't know about tomorrow... there is a very noisy man across the Hall, hubs said he did not get much sleep :( I told him to tell the nurses he wants a new room!!! if the man makes noise tonight !! not easy to get better when you keep on getting woken up!!

Re: Disney, was just a rule they used to have. I suppose like Military or other jobs... no facial hair. They are now allowing their CM's (Cast Members) to have facial hair but not if they play a certain character (ie.Prince Charming). Doesn't apply to Captain Hook LOL... He's a character. Deb - next time at Disney you're going with Betty & I ! We'll show you a good time...

Mary, I got an email from him this morning. Very short ...all is Ok, roomates are cool, they let him use pots/pans etc...they all share food (so far) and the fish is still alive.

I had a very slow day. Left PT early as I was feeling exhausted and totally worn out. Picked up a few things at the store, and came home and crashed. I think I really needed a nap!!

Betty, did you make a decision on which weekend yet?

Keep our Dianne & Warren in your prayers, things are very difficult right now and she is NOT getting any rest at all.

They have a full kitchen Mary. Even a dishwasher! Micro is above the stove, with full functioning stove. Refridge & cupboards with a "island" they use for a table with stools to sit at.

I can't believe I am still up. Took a slight dooze this afternoon....not intentional. More of slipping into a comatose state....for 3 hours!

Think I will crawl up in my bed and get warmed.

Will make this post short - as Debbie mentioned my DH is not doing well all. Since last Saturday he has gone downhill and there seems to be no apparent reason why. Please keep him in your thoughts.

We've had a skim of snow last night, sure feels cold brrrr..should be visiting some of you in warmer weather. Lol
