Barb I forgot to answer you - yes I do crochet. Love doing it!
Bitter cold this morning here. How about the rest of you?
Sending positive thoughts and energy to Heather and Katie. Difficult time for both.
Think I am going to take the tree down this morning.Don't usually do it until New Year's Day but this tree is quite dry and losing needles like crazy. I know I will still be vaccuming them up in the summer.
Make sure you all do something nice for yourself today everyone!
Dianne
Best/worse/what did I learn today-chat with friends
Morning everyone!
Thanks so much for the prayers for everyone!
Heather is not due till mid March, so it is too early for him to be born.
Dianne, so glad to hear that Warrens treatments are over, and praying they helped him.
Dianne, bitter cold here as well..just got back from town..was a run in/run out kind of trip. Roads are quite icy, one really needs 4 wheel drive and snow tires!
Bought a fireplace, rich cherry color, will match coffee table, bit big but oh we'll..Greg will try to pick it up on his way home..told him he had to because I spent $$$ he and Jeff gave me for Christmas seeng I couldn't go stateside..he said I surprised him by staying home.
Picked up white hot chocolate and bagel at timmies, going downstairs to see what cleaning I can do then maybe play!
LindaKay, how old do they safely induce at?? Maybe he can be a march 2nd baby. Lol
Dianne, guess you having a wood stove going dries the tree out quicker than normal..you'll be glad to have the christmas cleaning behind you!
I don't know what they consider safe for an early delivery. On Your Birthday would be a nice gift!
That it would..are you working on anything LindaKay? I just opened the dimensions you gave me for the Christmas quilt, wondering, could I start it?? Lol. So much for quiet!
The only thing "safe" for a delivery before 9 months...would be in the 8th month, if they were able to give the baby steroids to help his lungs develope faster. They can do this starting I think from the 7th month on. We have had two "micro premies" in our family/friends....and it is not a road any parent wants to travel. Jessica was 1lb 6 oz when born...at age 19, she has quite a few health issues, including very bad eyesight. Angelita was also 1lb 10 oz when born 3 months early....10 inches long. She is now 8, a cheerleader for little loop football, also very bad eyesight and what they call behavioral issues. Both girls have learning trouble....but over all they are such sweethearts. Little boy down the road, Bryce, is now 11 and has Cerebal palsy...he was closer to 3 lbs. Best this little one stay in mommy and bake a bit longer!
Betty, you be careful. We had a few more flurries overnight but nothing major. I haven't been outside since Tuesday, but do have to today for the Vet appt....and then the DH family get together. Mary....that soy really had a reaction.....I better take a nap and see what the afternoon brings....Bet it had coconut and green peppers in it also! Ohhh....not feeling well now at all. Going to straighten out my halo and go sit a bit! lol
Good morning everyone...sure is mighty chilly out there this morning!!
Barb...my T&P's are with you this morning as you are getting your scan...sure hope that the room is big enough for all of us to fit in. Praying that you will get good results!!
LK...prayers going out to you as well for your grandbaby and your friend. Hopefully the little guy waits long enough for him to be safly born into this world!!
Mary...your stepdaughter's Mom sure seems like she is out to lunch...buying little girl toys for teenage girls sure is wayyyyyy out there to be considered normal. I am possitive that your Stepdaughters really apreachiate all that you have done for them...maybe now even more. Can`t wait to read the other book!! Oh and where ever Whirligig is...I wouldn`t mind reading that one as well.
Wishing you all a great and sunny day...stay warm or maybe you Southerners "Stay Cool"...lol
Back to sewing again and painting!!
Love and many hugs
Thea
Lol. Debbie, you are entitled to have an off day..I would suggest you stay home..called preventive medicine..will help keep your blood pressure in tow! Just the most beautiful of days, so pretty outside..should take a few photo's
One last floor to wash then playtime!
Thea, I've whirligig and if ok with Mary I'll send it out tomorrow!
Debbie meant to say thanks for all the info you provided..prayers the little guy stays put and born healthy!
Thea, sure hoping isn't is as nice there, white sparklies as it is here..are you spending the day relaxing?
Barb, anxious to hear how you made out today as well..
Ohhhhh Debbie...just read about your Mother-inlaw...can`t call her DEAR for sure. I don`t blame you one bit for not wanting to see that woman. I can tell all the way from here and through the computer that your allergies are really flaring up!!
I think tonight you should rest on the sofa with a nice glass of wine and a few snacks and watch some old movies!!
Good morning!!
Wow so much to catch up on and I've only missed an afternoon!! LOL.
Crissy, I am in such agreement, take the day off and Get some rest! Shame on those work people, makes me wanna slap them silly...I remember "some" people treating me in that kind of manner, lol, my last year, decided i wasn't taking that and confronted them. lol shaking, from confrontation or just plain anger I don't know.
But I felt better and they left me alone after that. You wouldn't still have a job if your Boss didn't like your work!
So tell your Boss, You don't want to make any trouble but "some" people's mouths, you've had enough of their %$%$$# soo your going home sick to be able to do your job well flip them the finger and walk out Hacking away with uncovered mouth!!! ROFLOL, yes I am PO'd for you and with you!
Oh and here is another thing, Every time you hear them, Just bust out laughing out loud even if your by your self!
Bummer you didn't you weren't able to find your Special Christmas pressie, but As soon as your better, You will!! Sending Giant Arm Wraps(((((((CRISSY)))))))
I got go go calm down now be back in a few.
Betty it is just beautiful out there...blue blue sky...snow glittering in the sun...BUT...sooooooooooo darn cold -20C (-4F)...so today is another day in my warm PJ's puttering around in my craft/sewing room...lol
Ohhhhh and I finally got the darn "crackle" made on the craft...OMG it sure gave me a headache....remember the one you had send had spilled...so DH bought me "One coat crackle" at Michael's....well let me tell you that is the most stupid thing ever!!! I put a coat on the black...wellll it crackled the black!! So when I put the beige...nothing would happen!! Put another coat of crackle on top of the beige...and the beige would crackle...but not show the black!!! OMG it was sooooo frustrating...lol...anyways my Sweety went and bought me some regular Crackle...and voila!! it worked like it was supossed to!!
So now I am ready to put the lettering!!
Lol sounds like you are having quite a time with the project, let's hope the end result is worth the aggravation! From your description, yes, same sparkly day..
Had I not gone to ton early this a.m. Im sure I'd still be in my Jammie's...I'd have them on except Greg is delivering fireplace with co worker so must not be in p.j.'s
Judy, is Steve back to work? Holidays over?
This time I really am going downstairs to clean
Wow, snow machines are out like crazy
Thanks for all the info on the early births Debbie.
Betty, I plan on getting out more swap blocks after the new year. I have a bunch of blue and white blocks, and will play with it to see what kind of sashing and border I can come up with.
I am so sorry for that outburst…
While I type, I am crying as I guess, because I can’t yank out weeds,, lol.
What started out to be prayers and encouragement as a post…
well I guess ended up as blood curdling, body shaking anger.
I can’t stand bullies and as I was typing, just an over whelming fury came across to see my friends continue to be bullied by bosses, rude and obviously jealous co-workers.
Not only that but the ungratefulness of MIL’s who cause such heartache, that one of our friends was making a list! The other, well she should be grateful just to have you in her life, as support to their Sons.
She is lucky that a combined gift was even possible, with all that you Debbie have been through! This past year, you who could barely walk across the room took time energy and money not to mention every ounce of your strength to give something as grand as a TV to be ABLE to lounge around and watch.!
If it were me, I would take it back and throw her the cheapest pillow I could find at her!!
I am sorry, but all these people should be shaken to the core, open their eyes and see how many people are struggling just to Breath, to be born and or just to make it through a day without pain or have to watch a loved one suffer not to mention having to loose the people in our lives so quickly and rapidly it makes my head spin.
I think they should get down on their knees and Be thankful to all who have given their lives for them to awake each day just to be mean and selfish and while they are there beg for forgiveness! For all the LOVE and support you That You get from people you only know through this beautiful computer that they should be giving You .
And yet, you in return, each and every day awake and still offer your Love and support to everyone who touches your heart!
God Bless YOU and Thank YOU for being apart of our lives, sometime just seeing a simple wave makes my day.
Again I am sorry to have such an outburst, just makes my heart hurt to see you hurt.
I’ll be back as a much calmer friend, until then, know you are in my Thoughts and Prayers while my Arms Fly around you!!
Judy
Hugs coming your way Judy..feel the same at times..hate our friends being treated in such a fashion..we see them in their kindness and are offended by lack of kindness!!
LindaKay, got one rag slipper done, will finish 2nd one and wash/dry before I give my view on the project.
Have red/ black/ white from a swap that I thought I could make a footwarmer for end of bed.
Got acallfrom mom last night about 10:00 pm, was sleeping..she wanted to know yardage for a rag quilt, thought she might like to make one with my help..didnt say she liked it when I gave it to her but guess she did..
Ohhh going on 2:00, forgot to have lunch..must do and have 2nd slipper done this aft.
Sure not accomplishing much!
Oh Bev, have to look tice, blends in with the blanket...if only we could be so content..not a care in the world!
Yikes, temps are dropping rapidly, can feel it in the house..
Covered with rag quilt, meds and a good movie..close to purrrr" fect
Checking in on you again!! lol Well needed a break from sewing anyways.
Big hugssssss to you Judy...sometimes we just have to let it all out...sure lifts a huge boulder of your shoulders!! And I fully agree what you said about people that treat others bad or with no respect. Most of them are very self centered people that only care about themselves or how they can further themselves or put themselves in the "good" light. I am a firm believer of Karma...it will catch up to them eventually...sadly most of those self centered yahoos have no clue about Karma even if it bites them in the behind. Then you hear all these sob stories of how "people" don`t treat them right...some will never learn I guess.
Betty...OMG if anyone would call me at 10pm asking me about quilting I would rip their head of...family or not...lol...my family and friends know better then to call me after 8pm unless it is an emergency...evening time is spending time with my Hubby and Kids.
Good girl Betty...you are resting and doing nothing!! Enjoy your downtime and hope you feel better afterwards!!
Awww Bev...your kittie sure is getting big!! Looks sooo comfy in/on the blanket...is she a snuggler?
Well break is over...
Hugssssssss
Thea
No sooner did Kyle get home with Greg after dropping off the fireplace did he come back..just so excited to have his own machine, own insurance and freedom to come and go as he pleases..
Let him know that I had 1 hr. of work tomorrow if he wanted to make gas money for his snowmobile..said no, he'd come and help out without being paid but I said I didn't want his services unless I paid for them...my way of giving him snowmobile $$$
OMG Betty,, I love it tooo, spectacular and after seeing your snow and Kyle on his skidoo, I just want to snuggle right up there with you!
whew, well with the kids home, everyone taking a turn on the computer today...So I finally got into the purging mode along with Barb and everyone.
LOLOL...cleaning out a long awaited junk drawer, hahahah talk about a pack rat, had receipts from years and good gracious bottles of medicines, that one dated back to 97??? yikes! decides to pack them up and take them to Walgreens to be disposed of. Used to flush them but somewhere I recall someone giving advise not to do that, so will donate a really old pair of classes I found too. Wow, found some letter's from my DSister from before she passed away! And one special photo of her!! So read the letter, no tears but huge smiles at seeing her handwriting again, she had the most beautiful script penmanship!!
Thats how my day was spent after Sweeping, not vaccumming but sweeping the carpets one end of the room to the other...Awe, then my Honey called to see if I wanted to come see his work, of course I did!! The place around the corner nearly finished, WOW!!
So, also wanted to say this morning, Thea, first thank you for the hugs and understanding...Glad to see you have been working on your project!! Can't wait to see it all done, and while i was seeing some of your frustration(with the cackle) had to giggle a little bit. Reminded me of my first try at a Betty project, the Living Bird feeder. I had so much trouble playing Bob Vila, but i got it finished and lol it's still not living! But the birds don't mind. Well, I am sorry to hear you hadn't received my card, but when you do it will fit right on in with your Winter decor, and I know it will just bring a smile...And You Bet, you will get the real Arm Wrap at Betty's gathering!! I just spoke to her yesterday all excited that I WILL be their for sure, just need a date.
Bev, Thank you for such an adorable picture!! Your little cutie...He sure has grown quite a bit, love his one little striped paw!
I hope that you had a nice Christmas, were you able to spend the day with Scotty? I hope he is doing good too.
LOLOL, LIZ, you are too funny!! 80 bucks later at JoAnnes. Love the everything under 10 dollars, that means you only got 8 items, not bad!!
yayya, so glad you found the post card book, i know you will have fun with it!
Mary, if you want I will send the Bridge of Madison Bridges to you...So sweet when i read your the Last, because your the night shift and you are so right!!
I love to read the post from nightshift when i wake.
Linda Kay, Prayers continue for Heather and I said many today. Also for your friend Katie. I hope they are able to get it wiped out with the chemo blasts.
Debbie, interesting information on Preemie's!! Thanks for posting it.
Thunder...I can picture you dusting off your tools to do the wood work! I know you will have fun and hey you just might get back into it, i wanted to tell you something else to but now have to remember, lolol, I will.
Got to tell you, while cleaning my drawer, Had to call Crissy and read her a letter, my Daughter wrote me while I had issue's with the "one" at work...It was so wonderful to hear you laugh Crissy!!!
OK...I'll be back, have to go switch laundry.
By the Way...Betty, was also soo happy to see you snuggled under a quilt on the Chesterfield today!!! and thank you for the hug too.
be back in a bit.
Hello to All and Good Evening Night Shift !
((HUGS))
LK - Prayers for Heather. Tell that Baby that Dianne & I have decided... it's MARCH 10th for a birthday! That's gonna be the date...
Deb - I always trust you for the medical knowledge however you never fail to impress me... I'm glad you're my friend so I know who to ask if I ever have a question in that regard....
Yes - forgot about the baby headed to college thing... might have to include Shane in the anniversary dinner....
Yes - the Soy Sauce had plenty of green peppers... i'm with Thea on that... snuggle up with a glass of wine and a nice book or nook or your castle show or something.
Betty - that fireplace looks so elegant! how pretty... I think I've seen those in the stores... are they real? or a heater with a flame ? Yes - whirl that book on over to Thea LOL but sign it first... never heard if you read it Betty? But I thought Thea had so would love for her too especially since she liked SeedFolks.
Bev - that kitty so so cute!
Judy - love your passion for friends... I'm like you I just can't make waves which is prob why Boss walks over me... but that's just me I don't like conflict.... I just stay quiet and hope people behave. agree with Thea though... in Karma
Would LOVE to read Bridges ! Will get Seedfolks out your way soon... I just want to re-read it... it just touches me.
The girls are back... and so relieved. I am too.
Hubs just got home...
Dianne hope your day and Warren's was good... I'll pop back in a bit. On my last humbug... still enjoying all my wonderful gifts !
Mary
Well, I get BIG browning points. I ended up going....and will say honestly am glad I did. None of the family had seen me since all this "drama" happened with the surgery, except youngest brother Rob & his wife at Christmas eve service. Apparetnly another BIL, Dan, was so upset about what happened....saw me walking and started getting VERY emotional. Dan isn't that type of guy...he is the harley dude....but I got lots of hugs thru the night, and honestly didn't mind at all.
There were so many little ones there....and amazingly well behaved. From 8 months to 12 years ...and the teens and young adults 17, 18, 21....14 kids in all.
Drove home in a snow (DH drove) that should have been here on Christmas eve as was so beautiful. It can stop now! lol
I have to go to Rochester in the morning to get fitted with ankle brace, and then to pool therapy at 11:30. So no worries if I Don't post in the morning.
Judy, so happy you talked with Crissy and cheered each other up. I always feel I am over reacting with MIL...but it is good to know that you all would feel the same if someone did that too you, and I am not being overly sensative.
Betty, LOVE that new fireplace.....but I love that old one too. Wish we had some place here to put one....maybe our next house. lol Just so cozy looking.
Be back in a bit...need some hot cocoa.
Debbie
Rise and shineeeee everyone...you all must be still tugged away in a nice comfy warm bed!!
Been up already for a few hours drooling over quilt designs...lol...I subscribed to the digital version of "Love of Quilting" and with the subscription came the access to 2 years worth of magazines from the past!! Best part of it...I can share all the designs and patterns with friends!!
Not much planned for today...besides doing laundry and packing up for tomorrow. We are leaving tomorrow morning (weather permitting) to drive to the inlaws to celebrate the New Years. It is always a lot of fun...great food and playing games!!
Dianne, Warren and Barb...you are in my prayers this morning and sure hope you are having a good day today.
Debbie...good to hear you had a great time at the in-laws!! Receiving hugs makes one feel warm on the inside and out!! So here you have one from me!!
Betty...I loveee the fireplace...old and new...like Debbie I have no room in our house to set one up...but I always dream of how cozzy it must be/feel to sit in front of one wrapped up with a blankey and a book.
Wishing you all a great sunshine day and lots of hugs for everyone!!
Love Thea
Drats just wrote a novel and pressed wrong button and puff, no post!
Was saying we had more snow last night, plowman will have to come again this morning, lucky I guess because there is freezing rain all over our region..be safe Thea and Dianne, they say it's heading east towards you.
I'm just sick to my stomach, did not realize Sailor girl went out when Kyle left last night and I did not notice, that is a long night in bitter cold temps..sure hope I didn't add to her already paining body..poor old gal, she's laying on the rug near the fireplace, few sneezes, hope the warmth helps..such a stupid thing to do..I should know she may have not been in because she usually sleeps right beside my bed..NOT good!
Debbie, likely you have already left for Rochester, hope roads are ok. Did you say you can now drive on your own? Hoping the brace helps get you more mobile. How is Izzy doing?
Judy, glad you and Crissy got to gab and laugh..imagine, 2 years this May that we all met up at Joyce's..so much has happened in those 2 years..sure hoping Joyce can drive up to Janice's and hitch a ride my way.. We'll have to find a suitable date shortly..few things will determine the date, would like flowers in my garden and be able to take a ride on Georgian Queen to gt a good view of Georgian Bay plus a few other things .
Mary, the logs looks though they are now embers and it gives out great heat..have to play with the remote as to how to put heat up. Glad the girls are back and appreciative of being home..think they were caught up in a make believe life, at least how they perceived it as kids and now through their visits they see reality, no chance of a normalicy..with each visit they will come closer to you and you will be Mom and will form mother/daughter bond much stronger than most moms and daughters.
Speaking of moms, mine called last night. On her way to the cottage she stopped at fabricland and couldn't believe how much it cost her for flannel for their rag quilt she wants to make. Sales lady told her she didn't have to pre wash flannel likely not but I do, want the main shrinkage to be done. Said she thought the sewing machine I gave her years ago was at the cottage, not sure as she hasn't used it in 15 years that it might have been purged..has no scissors to cut squares..told her I use rotary cutter and matt so not sure where she'll go with this project. If I wasnt Leary of driving any distance think I'd pack some sewing gear and at least get her blocks cut but staying home.
What are you all dong for New Years, imagine New Year's Eve day tomorrow..know Thea is off with family, anyone else doing anything special? I always keep the busiest New years eve and day..with Roger dying New years day, Greg's birthday I have my ups and downs but it's 21 years and yet seems lke yesterday..maybe I'll do something special for myself...lol as though I don't always.
Thea, I'll have to go visit and enrol on that quilt site..I'm on another and love browsing..do make sure the freezing rain s out of your region before venturing out. Do you take anything to do she you go for a few days..think most of us who sew and do crafts need something to do with our hands? Would be interesting to know if it is just I who is so anal?
Well, coffee and porridge time, want to join me?
Poor Sailor...sure hope she didn`t catch a cold. Reminds me of the time we went to the inlaws for 3 days and when we came home realized we had locked one of the cats in our DD's room with NO food and water or access to litter. OMG she was such a good kittie, never made a mess but she sure had her legs crossed by the time we got home...first stop litterbox, second food and water!!! Now we always double check before we leave to have all cats accounted for...lol
I noticed it too Betty that the price of flannel went up very high. Visited a quiltshop in the city and their quality flannel was over 19$ a meter!!! Highway robbery for sure!!
Betty I always take craft things along for our visit...like you hands can`t be still...lol..I usually take my knitting with me...always have a pair of socks on the needles. This time I might bring my quilted table runner along to handsew the binding on...unless I get "bored" and do that this afternoon. My in-laws (older generation) speak very little english and my french is so so (gets better after a few glasses of wine...lol), so I always bring things to entertain myself. It is not that they don`t include me in conversations but it is hard to translate every little word and a lot of the convos get lost in translations...lol...Same when we go to Germany...my DH speaks only a litte germany my family (the older generations) only a bit of english...so DH always has a book in tow. But we are both always included...so it works out for all of us.
Thanks Betty for the info on the freezing rain!! I wasn`t aware we are supossed to get some. I guess we will see tomorrow how the weather is and how the weather is at the in-laws and go from there. Always nice to stay put and only DH and I to celebrate New Years Eve...have enough food in the house to make us a nice dinner. DH just has to pick up some Bubblie to celebrate the new year.
I always check the weather network and if you click on the radar map you can zoom out and I see the weather for you, Debbie and Dianne!!!
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/caon0757?ref=topnav_weather_savedcity
Stay warm and comfy and talk to you later!!
If the map is in your region Thea I see a lot of freezing rain over the next few ..is it a long run to your inlaws? My inlaws only spoke French in the home as did Roger, he'd speak French and I English....not sure why that was as I went to French school..guess it just rolls off the tongue a bit easier.
Not fond of shopping at local fabric shops, couldn't afford to sew if I did. Means more Joann shopping in Debbie's neck of the woods.
Been knitting here and there, have about 2 1/2" of the cowal knitted. Easy knitting, easy to pick up put down.
Well, been lazy all morning and look at the time.
Better get something done...
Good Morning y'all!!!
It was wonderful talking to Judy last night and laughing with her! Miss you Judy.
Betty I don't know if I'm going to be able to come up there, the bank account still hasn't recovered from Dave not working for that year and a half, and he's going to buy a Honda Civic Coupe (like the one you all had in Memphis last May) within the next month or so, cheaper to buy a commuter car than to keep paying for gas and repairs on the truck. We're going to switch the truck to PLPD insurance because it won't be driven hardly at all and the car will have full coverage.
Love the new fireplace by the way.
Joyce sure would love to see you again, so glad you got to come back on! Missed you big time.
Debbie no you are not overreacting. She needs to have the inside of her house tee peed.
I don't remember what I just read so I'm just going to say Hi EVERYONE!!!
I'm going to get to work here, can't wait til tomorrow when I can sleep in and get over this stupid cold, it's giving me a headache today. Took some aspirin about 30 minutes ago and it's not working.
Good morning my friends. I just poured my second cup of coffee and am finally awake!!! Let me tell you, those were good meds I had yesterday for my test. I guess they gave me the same drug that Michael Jackson took. Good stuff to make you sleep that's for sure. I didn't feel the test at all, woke up good in the recovery room, Norm drove me home and I went right to bed and stayed there!!! Got up for an hour or so last night and back to sleep again until just a while ago. I evidently needed the rest.
I had my test with the scope down the throat yesterday and I'm thrilled (so far) with the results. The enlargement of my bile duct is not anything I need to worry about. It is the way it is and there is nothing wrong in it. They found no masses that would cause the narrowing at its base. The only thing they found was that I do have gastritis and they took several biopsies to check the cause. This is something that can be treated with medicine. I know I still need my gall bladder out but at least they eliminated my fear of cancer in my digestive tract. I will talk with the surgeon next week about getting the gall bladder out. Then in mid Jan I will get another CT scan of the lungs to check on the spot they found. At least now I feel I'm getting answers and working on solutions instead of just sitting here worrying. I thank all of you for all your prayers. They surely did help me and I'm so grateful.
Been trying to play catch up on here and I gave up. I did talk with Judy last night for a bit and did go and read what she wrote. She cares so much about us as we do her. I guess we just need to let our thoughts go at times. I'm so grateful that we have a place to do so without being judged for it.
Betty you sound a bit better today - how are you feeling? Still have the headache and dizziness? I'm really glad to hear you are staying put and gettting some rest.
Thea - you and Bernie be careful driving up there. I listen to all you say about snow storms and freezing rain and ice and I can't believe we have had nothing!!!The ground is bare here although the temps are dropping. It seems we have been on the wrong side of any weather fronts as they are passing either north or south of us. Since my son works at a ski area in the winter, I'm glad it is finally cold enough for them to make snow. He usually starts his winter job the end of Nov but his first night was just yesterday this year.
I talked with my friend Elaine this morning. She has been diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt syndrome. It is like having Bells Palsy and shingles at the same time. She is having a hard time of it and I would appreciate your prayers for her. She has one eye which does not blink now so she has to wear an eyepatch all the time. I feel so bad for her as she is a quilter and a painter. Her work is giving her a bit of a hard time with comments that to me are not necessary. They expect her to drive with one eye. It can be done , yes, but only after a lot of training....And then she needs her eyes at work!!!! Sometimes I just don't get it.
I'm cleaning the sewing room out this week. Been purging and combining a lot of patterns etc to gain some space. I have a few purse patterns and a couple of applique patterns if anyone is interested in them...
Off to enjoy my coffee. BBL.....
Barb so glad to hear the good test results, get that gallbladder out as soon as you can, my mom said that out of all of her 30 someodd surgeries that was the easiest one. Thinking about you and Elaine. We live in a very selfish world and no one cares about the other person anymore, I've had a very hard reality check of that lately.
I'm back - uneventful flight there and back.
Fabulous to see my Mom, DD & DSIL, 2 sisters and their DHs.
Wonderful visit with 2 friends also.
DD did a great dinner last night - 2 kinds of lasagna. 2 kinds of cake (chocolate & cheesecake), salad, etc.
Got pics of family, and friends.
Going to have a nap now........... very tired - 2 hrs sleep last night, and can't sleep on the plane.....will post pics when I get up.
Bob will see me when he gets home from work.
OMG came down into craft room to play and missed all the gabbing..
Crissy it's still months away..ahhhh wait a minute, with a new car could you not meet up with Mary and co-drive..not that far and I know you love driving.
Barb, doing the happy dance here for sure..bet you feel 100lbs lighter without that worry. Now if you can get that galbladder out you will be fit as a fiddle..can see you smile from here..bet Norm has never been more relieved..will have a timmies toast for you both. Yes Barb, when I first get up it seems worse so I take my time, this morning I feel like I want to attempt to do something soooo looked through all the flannel I have left over from various rag quilts, gee I think if I had 2 or 3 yards more I could make a large rag quilt. Thought if I played with something that doesn't take a lot of thinking my head might not hurt.
Susan, glad the holiday was all you expected it to be, sleep well my friend, will wait till you are fully awake before asking you to post photo's..bet Bob missed you!!
It's that time, you know me, get into something and forget to eat which weight wise isn't bad but my body needs a schedule of home cooked meals so off to get something ..
Rag slippers are drying..we'll see what I think of them once they are out of the dryer.
Betty, Mary would need to drive up to me, New Orleans is 10 hours from me with the food and gas and pee stops. I wouldn't drive anyway, I'd fly. Now Mary could drive up to me and we could fly out of Little Rock together, that could work providing I have the money. That would be Dave's new car, not mine. The car, my Toyota Corolla, is mine, not Dave's. The truck has both our names on it so that is ours lol
Susan so glad you had a great time! Can't wait to see pics!
Hi Betty - glad you're getting some rest.
holiday was MORE than I expected, thanks to my DD, and 2DSisters!
Paid some bills this am, NOW going to lay down...... so tired......
Betty - is that Sailor, and feeling warm again?
Sorry, if I'm wrong - too tired to think......
Susan go to bed!! That's an order, listen to your elders!
