Susan, no that is Missy..kittie
sailor is my elderly pain ridden border collie...
Best/worse/what did I learn today-chat with friends
How is Sailor doing now Betty? Is she still sneezing and cold?
My in-laws are 31/2 hours away in Sherbrooke, QC...beautiful area with hills and lakes. Great scenic drive, but just plain yuck in snow and ice...lol
Welcome back Susan...makes me happy that you had such a wonderful time with your loved ones!!
Barb...your news sure made my day!! Now once that gallbladder is out we can actively plan our meeting at the quiltshow in VT!!
Poor Elaine...can not imagine what she is going through right now...hope the purging keeps her mind busy. Tell her that Bernie and I said hello and that we are keeping her in T&P and sending her bigggg hugs.
Well laundry is calling..bbl
Good morning!
Susan!! Welcome home, so glad you had such a great time, look forward to see pics!! Now you go get snuggly warm and take a good nap.
OH before i forget again, lol...Thunder, omg wanted to say How beautiful all your decorations are! Just love the little village, but my gosh, almost forgot momma whittles and when I saw the little clock, Wow!! it's fabulous.
Oh Betty, poor Sailor, I hope he is snuggling up getting nice and toasty warm at the new fire place!! OH and i love your floor candle, it beautiful. Wink so is your mantle candles...
Janice, Was so glad to see you post. Looks like another wonderful Christmas. So smiling at Bubba's walking! OH what a sweetheart to donate your handmade quilt to the Chemo patients!!
Hi Suse, so glad to see you had a very nice Christmas as well! I know it very hard the first year without your Dad, but i am sure he WAS with you in heart and Spirit!
Barb, was great talking to you, I'm glad to hear you can rest so much better with the results! I hope your throat is so much better today.
Liz, LOL...I was thinking of you this morning, while driving all the sudden i pictured you on the our Pier, fishing pole in hand!! So was wondering if you and Kenny will start the year off with having a day of relaxation, sure hope you do. OMG, three days on the sequence, well sure was worth it. I remember making quilted ornements last year, yikes took forever so as usual I applaud your patients for such things, lolol cause you know, I have none...
Debbie, So glad and happy smiles you had a good time at I-L's. Even gladder you received so many loving hugs! You deserve everyone of them.
I understand all too well about MIL's. Mine was so mean to me every chance she got to put me down. Finally she made a comment about my being a drunk, which yeah I like to drink but I just was having my fist drink at the gathering when announced it...That was the last straw. Told my DH, I am going to have words with your mom, just so you know, because she ain't going to like what I have to say! LOL, she didn't and until just 5 years ago, we barely looked at each other...And lol, to this very day I still don't call her anything, lol just start talking, hi or blah, blah blah...you know like that. So kiddo hang in there.
Mary, ok will find an envie to fit the book and get it out to you! Oh my goodness, sounds like bio mom doesn't see her girls growing up, she is stuck in child world.
Was so glad to see the girls are starting to see and understand...Oh now, i was also thrilled to see you and DH spending time doing puzzles!! OMG We are avid puzzled doers...Great way to "work' together and a great way to just have something fun to do together, Yessiree, they are quite addicting! Right Liz, lol.
OH MY gosh, did you know? They make PODGE for puzzles...lol.
Thea, got a chance to look at your star...It is Divine!!!
OH!!! Finally talked to my DB & SIL...He is healing, so thank you for the prayers. Turns out he broke 2 ribs and fractured 1. Also had a nail go through his arm, (healing nicely) He did not fall from a ladder but walked off a scaffolding 5" feet up, landed on a couple of work horses!! But again, Thank God, he's broke and not worse...Got to shake my head, He said he was going to work today, grrr that guy can't stand to be still...LOL, told my SIL to give me his bosses number...Anyway he can't lift anything heavy, so maybe he will just direct. Soon as i started with the what for, he said here talk to the wife, my gosh that guy.
OMG, SIL and i had a good laugh, said it must be a LaBarge (maiden name) thing, as i walked off our toy box Christmas eve day!! Well and the only thing i hurt was my ego for doing such a stupid thing!!
OK, Waiving Hi to Santa Warren and Dianne, hope you two are well and just enjoying the day.
Stay cozy warm everyone.
Oops,
And Katie, you know i am just smiling away that you were able to get through the holiday as strong as you did!! You go girl.
Been to some AA meetings myslef, found them to not be for me either. But the important thing is you are able come to DG for some loving support /I know it was the best move I made and finding Betty was even Better!! Sounds like Tony is an absolute Angel!
Thanks for the welcome back
Of Course Sailor is a dog........ I was too tired to THINK earlier, but better now LOL
finally had a 2 1/2 hr nap, so feeling a bit more focused. - 2 hrs sleep last night did not DO it. I spent the time listening to my Mom sleeping. She's a quiet sleeper, but it was nice to hear her when all was quiet in the house.
btw - maybe my brother's mood has changed. Yesterday was his first day of work, so I'm hoping this sweetens his disposition LOL likely not, but one can dream, right? When we picked Mom up on Wed, he tossed the quilt of hers that I have since added a label to, and he spoke to Glen (my BIL) and not me. He interviewed that day and started a new job on Thurs.
Evening all, in my nighty and ready to settle n for the night!
Was sitting taking stock of 4 projects earlier and thought, why not drive into Orillia and get all the supplies I'm missing while on sale..left just after 3 and got back just after 5 so wasn't too much out of my day. While quiet head ok, not resting supporting it not ok so a pain killer and quiet night it shall be.
Thea, thought of you..have 10 red/white/black squares from a swap so thought I'd make a bed runner for end of bed..ok, needed same color theme..yikes each time I picked one up it was $22.00 so even with 40% off its still wayyy tool much. Needed 3 meters, found something a little more reasonable but still...
Figured a bright yellow with daisies in flannel would be enough for a large rag quilt seeing as I had most of the blocks from previous quilts...then needed white on white or off white for the big pine tree quilt to use up my 5" swap blocks, no choice only one slat of fabric. Add fabric for my block squares and thread..pulled. Liz, spent far too much, maybe that is why I have a headache!! Lol
Sailorgirl wanted out when I got home, now she is nowhere to be seen, have to stay awake Neil she is safely in. Was pleased that Kyle came earlier and got all the Christmas bins put away and shoveling of the front deck, I rest better knowing chores are done..what a mess it will be if surrounding areas get the freezing rain they are calling for tomorrow, won't make for a fun New Years Eve..
Susan, let us hope that your brother through his good fortune of finding a new job might be more accepting! I was just so worried that hard feelings between all would surface and you wouldn't have a good time, glad the worry was for nothing and you enjoyed...what mischief duped bob get into while you were away? Lol
Oops Sailor at the door! Now if Riley shows up I'll be a happy campers
Judy, can't imagine how things were for you to think finding me helped..lol. Kidding, appreciate the words..I care for all of you, all have a special place in my heart!!l. Can I add a MIL on that list as well? Judy, your brother is so lucky..after all the mishaps in your life of late, it could so have been much worse
Oops hot chocolate and cake calling
Missy looks so at home in your fabric Betty. You notice I didn't say ON your fabric! I can still picture her all over everyone's artwork the day I was there with the girls. Please forward my wishes for a wonderful New Year for all of them. I hear you mention Darlene and June and Ann and the others and I can "see " them.
I guess you blew off the purging part today eh? I like the sounds of what you bought. I just loved the rag quilt you did for your Mom. I have promised myself the only fabric I am buying for the first three months of 2012 is if I need a backing. I have soooooo much material here. I spent today sorting through the drawers with all the little doodads we accumulate. I found 6 needle threaders, 4 seam rippers, 3 pair of small scissors - I didn't find the partridge though. I separated stuff into piles of keep, give away and toss. The toss is gone!!!!! The give away will go next week and the rest - I must find an organized place for it. I hate walking into the room and it is cluttered up with three different projects going on at once. And on top of that I used the room for a gift wrapping station for Christmas gifts!!! Oh well, I'm down to sorting fabrics so that is a good thing.
Glad to hear that Sailor is inside now. Does Riley stay out in this cold? The animals amaze me with what they tolerate.
I got to talk to Judy last night for a bit. Didn't talk too long as the throat was still sore but woke up today and it is fine. She can always make me chuckle about one thing or another.
Must go do the dinner dishes. Rest well tonight....
~~~Waving to alll~~~and keeping Bev, Dianne and Warren, and all the rest of you in my prayers....
You have no idea Barb how many times the girls ask how you are both doing..Aline is going to her dad's in Florida in a few weeks and taking her SIL hoping to get her through the winter after losing her hubby ..will do them good! Pat is dealing with her twenty two year old daughter having cancer, tumor near the brain..just finished university, found a job near Ottawa and now had to return home..Liz just sold her home in midland, her daughter who lives just this side of buffalo is also dealing with cancer so she wanted to be near her..Liz's hubby I'd American and at some point as to return to Florida..he is extremely I'll so lots for her to deal with.our medicine lady Lilliath is her confused fun self. Lol
Cliff and Bernice are also dooming fine. I usually go spend the eve before Christmas eve for Christmas carol gathering but wasn't well so did not go
As for Riley, come fall she becomes my bed partner...deep purring all night long..come spring you can't gonear her, she becomes an outdoor kittie.
Yes, missy loves crafting, always has to be on the table being part of the action.
Once I finish these projects I'll do a major clean up and take my machine in for cleaning..hate tithing what is hidden in that craft room.
Would really like todos few stained glass pieces so all sewing and equipment must be put away.
Missy does look cute in the fabric lol Is she choosing the ones you're to use? lol
Glad Sailor seems ok :-) Bob didn't get into any mischief.
Tomorrow night we're going to have our own little "party for two" here, and perhaps go into the hot tub and bring a glass of wine or two lol
I'm going to start purging in the house - recycle the old printer, 2 keyboards and assorted computer "junk" - glad Staples takes this stuff in......
They must have been doing something to the electrical outside because our TV, my computer and the electrical heater all went off for two minutes, then most came back on - resetting Bob's clock and coffee maker.
oh, oh, Fabricland just called with a "pre-recorded message" saying they have a 50-70% sale off on fabric and notions....... YIKES! Want to finish/purge, not gather More fabric and crafts........
Hello To All !Awe Betty, Judy & all - hope you are all right... I know things can regress but for now especially DSD1 has been so appreciative and loving to me...
Betty - I wish I could be with you New Years Day... that has got to be a tough one... On second thought... I WILL be WITH you ! In Spirit.
Barb.. can't tell you how relieved I am at your good news... Many prayers for your friend...
Susan... so glad you had a good visit ! What different kinds of Lasagnes did DD make? I love making Lasagne...something I don't get any complaints about LOL....
All - when is the 2012 visit ?
Deb - so glad you enjoyed the MIL and family visit... maybe just staying around the young folks is the key...
Judy - We really did enjoy this puzzle ! It was of Music legends... If Hubs hadn't got so addicted to it... I'd buy another...
LOL.
Looking for our Dianne and Santa Warren....
I'll pop back in a bit.
I'm so excited. Hubs is letting me plan a DISNEY VISIT this year ! YAY and double YAY!
Looking at Memorial Day weekend so I'll need to make ressies this weekend.
((HUGS))
Mary
Hiya Mary!! My DD made a tomato sauce/sausage lasagna, and a white sauce/chicken lasagna
Betty - eReader - tell me about them. My DD and Dsister have them, but didn't understand if I have to recharge it from computer, and download books via computer. One I saw had a USB port to connect - guess this is how you download books? Do you have a Kobo? I hear they're the best. Thinking of getting one from BestBuy - $79.99. Is that a good price?
I just got home from work and........................there is an Angel sleeping down the Hall way !!! ^_^ and a most handsome soldier, came in and SURPRISED me at work !!!! ^_^ OMyGoodness!!!!! they are here they are here!!!! and I have tomorrow off!!! how cool is that ??!!!
hope Y'all are well, and have a great new years eve! and I wish you all health , happiness, and lots of love in the new year....
somebody some where said " I wish you a perfect scant 1/4, and perfect points, and lots of straight stitches throughout the new year" !!!! I thought that sounded great ^_^ sew I wish you all that too!!
Hugs (((((((((((((((((( ))))))))))))))))))))) and ♥ ♥ ♥
WooooHoooo! Thunder that is such wonderful news! So very very happy to hear that....Bless your son for the surprise! Gosh, I can see/feel your smile all the way up here!
Sweet dreams....I know you will!
Debbie
Early morning all, up for meds, hoping to fall back to sleep, please at least until 7a.m. But had to check up on you..
What a surprise Thunder, omg did you break into a scream when you saw him..so glad you have the day off to enjoy thei visit..love your New Years wish to us all!
Mary, now you were not suppose to go to Disney this year, it was to be a Canadian visit when I have my gathering..no thrilling rides but good company, know you will be with me tomorrow in spirit and I appreciate it.
Susan, e readers are wonderful however purchase of books no cheaper but you don't have to go looking for the book you want, it's right there for purchase...Jeff downloads books for us, think I have over 1'000 on my e reader and ipad and office computer.
could buy a memory stick and have him download books and ship it to you..don't think memory stick with a lot of memory, you might already have one you could ship me and Jeff could download for you. He has downloaded he says over 75 , many at Christmas for family and friends..his favorite, quickest for downloading is the new Sony but all are possible for download.
Debbie, see you are up late or having an early start to you day?? How did you make out yesterday?
Dianne, how are you and Santa Warren doing?
Well,going to try and get some sleep
Been up since 5:00
Freezing rain out there..hope Thea,Dianne and Debbie are out of harms way..stay safe, stay inside if the freezing rain hit your area..
Decided to just sit and rag blocks to entertain myself..shortly will get dressed, have breakfast and start the bed runner..should take me all of today..means I'll not get into mischief.
What do you all have planned, my life is soooo boring to say the least.
Morning everyone! Betty, it is Just Todd and I for New Years, but New Years day is also our 13th anniversary. So we will celebrate with fireworks popped off in the back yard.
Thunder, so glad your son surprised you at work! Enjoy your time with him!
Susan, so glad you had a good time on your trip! Always good to be back home though!
Happy New Year everyone! Praying 2012 is a happy and healthier year!
Betty, my outting itself went well, but not getting the brace. Had trouble fitting it because of my "overly muscular calves" and being "vertically challenged". SO, she is ordering one for me to try from another company that won't come up so far on my leg. Also have to find a better pair of shoes than what I am wearing. Sneakers are fine, just not the soft mesh sides.
PT was good, but tiring. Came home and Shane was home from work already. They had met their "quota" for the day and the boss said "Happy New Year" get outta here! He had some lunch and rested til 3:00...then went to his job down at the golf course. Have to laugh as he was the "bouncer" for the night. He had to change out of his "Perry the Platapus" shirt so people would take him serious. lol
Happy early 13th anniversary LindaKay ... Kind of nice just relaxing bringing in the new year..decided I best stop eating leftovers and when temps melt the ice take a run to the grocery store. Still quite icy though, almost looks like rain, let's hope not, snowmobilers are antsy to start riding the trails. How was your visit with family?
Debbie glad they are ordering specialty support for you..
Omg a bouncer, aren't you worried about that..laughing at the platypus shirt.
Did you get this freezing rain last night/this morning?
Accomplishing much this morning, at least in craft room but now it's time to make myself presentable, clean house then I can play again. If I do the 8 1/2 inch block rag quilt 9 rows wide and 11 rows long I've enough block..guess the 3 yards I bought yesterday did the trick..find it sooo easy pre-ragging..
Then washed the white on white fabric and cut it in 5" squares..hoping I have enough..
Now washing red/black &red fabric for bedroom runner then can cut my strips..as you can see I'm keeping every moment filled..a must do so my mind doesn't start wandering..either that or sleep, think its more productive to do the work thing. Lol
One of the furries must have been into someone's garbage..see a few spots of green vile filled with bones, not good..at least they weren't I'll on my living room carpet..think it's Sailorgirl
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Thunder, for your "little" soldier boy to be HOME!!!
Happy 13th Anniversary, LK!
Betty - thanks for info re: E-readers. I MAY get one, and I DO have a memory stick which I can send to you. Oh those furries - can get into mischief, can't they? How's your headache?
((((((((((((Happy New Year, EVERYONE)))))))))))))))))
Thanks for comments on my brother :-) Y'all make me feel much better.
I'm cleaning house today, cuz we have New Year's dinner tomorrow - ham & scalloped potatoes!
Better get going on the cleaning/clearing!
Just let me know Susan and Jeff will gladly download for you! Hmmm that is what I could make for tomorrow dinner, loved scalloped potatoes and a ham wouldn't be bad either..
Headache is not good but tired of feeling sorry for myself and am forging on.
Private din/din to or row night for just you and Bob? That is the best. I miss that I don't have a lot of memories with Roger New Years eve..as recreation co ordinator I was always in charge and organizing festivities, supper/dance for 300 and Roger would do the cooking.. Community sure had to pull together New Years eve that he was dying..wasn't very festive they said... Hope your evening is filled with starlight as you enjoy hot tub and that glass of wine.
Greg just called, he drove to work to make a hat for tonight..new years eve theme is making your own hat..while on the telephone Melanie called him n his cel saying she was sick, thought it was the flu so they may not go after all..did sat he needed either red felt or red fabric for something on his project and said he would drop in to see if I could add finishing touch..
Thank you, Betty
Frankly, I think you DO have a New Year's Eve memory - you and Roger working together to give to the Community - how very loving and giving a team! That's the true spirit of the season.
I'm going to talk to Bob about the e-reader - I would love to get one - so convenient! As my sister Ruth says - get one with a touch screen, not the button lol I could read at lunchtime - how nice! and going to the library for an e-book is an idea, too!
ROFL must be ham & scalloped potatoes night...thats what I am making. Just DH and I here...and can save some for the week also.
Betty, it is in the 40's here. We just had rain, all the snow we did have is melted. They are however talking about "severe snow accumulation" tomorrow night into Monday. Oh joy!
Yes, I was worried about DS being a "bouncer". He is only 18...asking everyone for ID and turning some away, taking cash for entrance if needed for bands....yet he is 6' 1" and probably 180 lbs. STill my baby! He was bullied so much in school...he doesn't take crap from anyone now...and he has profected "the look" which I have apparently passed on to him & my two older girls. LOL You do NOT mess with Mom when she gives you "the look".
Susan, I have the Nook e-reader, and also gave one to my two older girls for Christmas. THey love it so far. Just the basic book reading one from Barnes & Noble. They have so many fancy gadgets didn't need anything else to push more buttons. I have about 200 books on mine, and although haven't had much time to read of late....I love it.
Thank you, Daisy, for the info - Sony vs Kobo vs Nook lol
I'm going to have quite the time figuring out which one I want (bearing in mind that the Price plays a huge part!) lol
Did you check out the Kindle? I know they have good prices for that on Amazon.com I think Nook, by Barnes and Noble...might not be compaitible to Canada...but not sure. Betty did you check that our first?
I don't think Kindle is available in Canada, so we couldn't download books to it even if we bought it across the border.
Amazon doesn't know when they'll be selling to Canadians.
Happy New Year, friends. I'm still at the internet cafe. On my way home with fresh orange juice, tangerines and a bunch of movies. Had a nasty bout of flu the other night and am taking it easy as I'm still recovering. No pain, just not much energy.
The brownbagging of the kitchen/living room is proceeding well. We can now return storage shelves to their places and return stuff to them instead of having it stacked everywhere. But not today. Today is for rest and maybe a little sewing. Maybe tomorrow and Monday, too. I'm tired and can't sort/decide when I feel this way.
Tony is off for two days. Gave him the last couple of pounds of Christmas candy to use in a pinata for the kids - better than having it on my hips!!
I lost a couple more pounds with the flu bug. Not sure it was worth what ti took, but I'll gladly take the loss.
I do read about what all of you are doing and am glad to keep up with you. It's hard to respond when I'm just here for a brief visit. Know that I'm thinking of all of you and send cheers and prayers to all of you. I agree about the Karma stuff. I have to let go of resentments on a regular basis. I'm lucky to have a great group of people around me both here in Mexico and on line, especially here on this thread. As long as we are loving and appreciating each other, it's not soo hard to let go of the nasties. Thoguh the MIL who didn't appreciate the TV would be sticking in my craw.
Home to sunggle up with juice and movies.
hugs all around, katie
Hi Katie!! wow to losing weight during the holidays, but geeeze what a nasty way to do it!!
I wish all of you a Very Happy New Year:
http://www.jacquielawson.com/viewcard.asp?code=3291969049915&source=jl999
Susan, nice gabbing with you..you always make me feel special!! Enjoy tonight and tomorrow..
Greg dropped in, got the band on his stainless steel hat. Lol. Wouldn't want to be wearing that around all night..he is so funny, spent 5 hrs manufacturing it, likely $50 worth of stainless steel and all to win a bottle of wine..says great deal mom seeng I don't drink!! But it is all in fun. He did manage to steel a cherry our though on his way out the door.
Very mild here now Debbie, snow on the roof is skidding off, see kids walking down the street with sweaters. I should get a bit ambitious and go downtown for few groceries and pick up a gift card for gas as a birthday gift for Greg tomorrow. See now, should save myself cooking, should be dropping into your house Debbie for supper .Not too late is it? Lol
Just got to say I'd not be sleeping till the little one came home.. I think it would be dangerous speaking up to someone who is inebriated .. Hopefully it will be just for this weekend!
Katie, so anxious to see photo's of your brown gagging the walls..I think you have been so busy what with playing Santa, travelling for health reasons, working side by side with Tony that your body is just plain tired thus catching everything going around. Rest well this weekend, everything else can wait!
you R special, Betty - you have obviously no idea how very special you are!
No snow now, minus 3 Celcius, and it's supposed to be +9 on Monday!! woooo hooooooo!
Can't wait for Bob to get home - saw an e-reader for $50 at a store not far from us! comes with 100 books. I gather you can download from GoogleBooks.com, but aren't e-readers specific to sites you can download from? I thought they were all PDF books, and could download from anywhere....... Betty, could you swap from memory stick no matter what site you download from?
Happy New Year everyone!!! Wishing you all a beautiful and healthy 2012 filled with love and laughter.
Well we are home...roads were a bit too icey to drive the 3 1/2 hours to my inlaws. Luckily we stayed home because my DH became all dizzy due to a headcold and is resting now with meds on the sofa. So a restful evening planned for us tonight. Oh yeah and I am hitting Mary's chocolate...maybe it helps me ward of Hubbys cold...lol
LK happy early anniversary for the two of you, hope you have a wonderful day.
Dianne and Warren...getting worried about the two of you!! Hope everything is ok with you and that you are enjoying each others company.
Betty...sending you big hugs...I know tomorrow will be difficult for you and I hope that the sad memories will be replaced with fond memories of Roger and that you still have a wonderful day.
Susan...you will love the e-book reader. Mine is one of the first ones there was...a Sony and I love the fact that you can take it anywhere and read without lugging a big book (I am reading now a trilogy of more then 3400 pages...lol!!!)
Debbie...what time is supper!!! Love ham and scalloped taters!!
Seems like everyone is staying at home to celebrate...gone are the days of partying until the wee hoursl...now I am lucky if I make it till midnight..LOL
Have a wonderful celebration and I will toast the New Years with some Bubblie for you.
Love and many Hugs
Thea
Oppssss forgot to add:
I am soooooooooo Happy for you Thunder to have such a wonderful surprise yesterday!!!! What a great way to end the new year having all the kids home sound and safe!!!
ok, that settles it - I'm getting an e-reader!! They're only $50! (with a button, not a touch screen......)
Also going for a Water bed massage - Bob got me a gift cert for 200 hours!
Oops sat down a minute longer than I should and dozed off..perha
Ok it was 3:10 when I typed those words..
Loveliest thing happened, car pulled in the door, a woman that used to come here painting years ago was at the door with homemade goodies and gift of butter jam..I hadn't seen her in a few years as she works at a police station, took on new position, kids had children etc.
Said she was shoveling her deck, saw many of the Christmas things outside that we had made and had the urge to put on her coat and come visit for awhile..said she often thinks of the good times we had, missed me and just knew that today she had to take time out of her busy day to come give me a hug...
I'm just overwhelmed
Now that I have sweets for the evening I had best go get proper provisions for New Years Day meal..
Can feel the temps dropping..brrrr
Thea, glad you didn't brave the elements and take that drive..would have been white nuckle drive I think...worse is not knowing what storms are brewing that you might have had to face to come home..they will surely miss you. Sorry to hear hubby is not feeling the best...sure hope you don't come down with it.
Sit tonight and enjoy!
Susan go for it, both the reader and the spa treatment..lucky girl!
OK got up this morning ready to start putting these blocks together and got side tracked into so many other projects..think it's to the grocery store and then a few hours sewing..feel up to something now that I had a small nap and company...you would have to know Janice...rooms just beams when she talks..always excitement in her voice, you just want to squish her with hugs of love...nicest young woman I know..now that is not nice..I know many such ladies, must say 'one of' right?
Oh Betty, that is wonderful! See, you mean so much to so many! We all know a good thing when we see it!
You are going to laugh at me, I usually have DH peel potatoes...as well, it just isn't my strong point. I can do it fine, but he can peel 3 to my 1. Anyway, he went to his brothers...I got the potatoes all peeled...and everything is in the oven baking. SO, he walks in, looks at me and says...yeah, your cooking. Why??? I am covered in flour again! lol I can't touch a bag without wearing it!
Gave Isabelle her bath this morning. Oh my gosh that was a project. Had to sit in the tub for 10 minutes with this lather on her....and trim up some hair also. I think it would be easier to paint than clean all that mess! But I did. Feels good (and yes, I am being careful) to get things done and back in order.
NOW, fingers crossed....DH is working on MY computer. Thinks he has to order a new power supply for it, and a memory stick to speed it up a bit or something. I miss my puter! lol
LOL you cook like I cook Debbie..no you don't, yours doesn't burn...although I must say since Barb and Norm's visit I haven't burnt a thing..kept fretting about burning their supper and I guess my keeping an eye on what I was cooking stayed with me!
Sure hope Debbie Paul can speed up your computer..what have you been using??? laptop?? or just using it at slow speed?
Thought while I was posting photo's I'd post another
Greg's hat for tonight's due..I got to make the band..said he needed to cover the sloppy welding lol mom's are good for something!!!!
So funny, he's 6'2" and the metal hat must be 1 1/2 if not more, he was ducking everywhere he was walking, said he'd have to be careful tonight..can't see him wearing it for too long..sure hope after the effort Melanie is feeling well enough to go
