OMG JUDY, congrats to Jacob..what powerful words they had to say about him..I cannot believe that little boy I met about 5 or 6 years ago now ways 220..shaking my head "NO" and he grew tall when I saw him this summer but he must be all muscles because he sure doesn't look like he's carrying that much weight..how proud you must be..

Betty, My soldier has to report for duty every morning....early...but only has to work a few hours, then gets to go home and have the rest of the day with his family..
the Momma has to work today, so he REALLY gets to find out what life is like with a 2 yr old LOL ^_^ I am sure they will have much fun, I am pleased to know that he has lots of patience !!! sure wish I could be a fly on the wall.......

OMG, quiet, quiet today, everyone must be busy with last minute. Hope you are enjoying the day!

OH Judy, you are SO busy! how do you do it? I try and try and just fizzle out.

I did manage to make a chicken chowder, per DSs request. He has a stomach ache and wanted soup. He was upset couldn't go to work this morning...was food/party day...and he had to call in sick. Trust me, better he called in!

The "new car" is a Ford Taurus...a 2005. He should be able to pick it up tomorrow afternoon....and then I have wheels for some days. I am sure I will be a nice Mom and let DS take it when it is freezing and has work. He is still riding his bike to work at 5:30 a.m....with temps in the 20s.

BEV where are you? How are you doing? Did the Amarillys start to grow yet? I put one on my Christmas list...but then got worried my cats would get into it....they will not leave plants alone.

Such wonderful gifts everyone has received....it really has been a bright spot in my life this season seeing everyone exchange and so happy.

And Cupid Warren will do it again in February! Ohhhh....Goody!

JUst got home, closed up shop at noon, picked up a few things, went looking for candles for the boys, no go, finally went into a country store, $1.79 +tax..close to $20.00 to do their 3 candles..wasn't going to splurge then thought to self ,self, are you going to ride around town, hit every store to save $10.00, my inner sled said 'no'!

When I checked under the tree this morning, I saw that although $$$ are equal there would be butba few gifts for Greg and only one for Kyle seeing as they got their snowmobile passes early as dec1 was the deadline for purchasing for $200 each otherwise I would have had to tad on another $50.00 and here we are no snow. On the way home I thought I'd stop at the snowmobile shop and pick up something for Greg..told Doug the owner (Lordy he just opened the shop when roger and I first started buying machines) must be 30 yrs. that I wanted something for under the tree but would not spend mega $$$ . Showed me a fleece type sweater that Greg had been eyeing..wow. $89.99 out of my league at this point..has the snowmobile emblem but I just want a token gift...says for you mrs. Pauze I'm sure it's on sale...here is where it gets odd...I go to the wicket and he says, 'just came on sale. $10.00. Just put on clearance? I ask how come all the others which are same aren't? Said special clearance!!

Felt guilty so went and bought Kyle a snowmobile shirt. Lol

So now I am home, already in my Jammie's, took meds for a humdinger od a headache and that is it for the night. In the morning my vehicle has to go for plugs and wire so might as well rest while I can.

Judy girl you outdid yourself...I just love the Christmas card, Lordy no wonder you haven't been on line, look at the amount of time you spent making them..how creative you are..setting it beside my Judy Christmas stocking! Thank up you for your kindness.

Yes - Dianne... good to make sure folks know how much you appreciate them. Hubs told me earlier this week that I never say "I love you" but only "I love you too".... so when he surprised me with oysters after work today (raw and rockefeller) I made sure to say "I Love You Too" First LOL

Dianne - miss you lady. I love your gentle reminders to tell each other that we love each other. As long as Norm and I have been married, neither of us leaves the house for ANY reason without a kiss goodby and an I Love You. And lately, I've been in the window waving as he pulls out of the drive. Just one of the lttle things we do that lets each of us know that we care.

My brother doesn't want to be in the house while I'm visiting my mom, so I'm only allowed 4 hours to see her - that would be from noon (when Brenda/Echoes drops me off) to 5pm (when my daughter picks me up).

My mom's busy all of Tuesday so I'll spend the am with my DS Alice, then to my DD's for the rest of the day and staying there for Tues/Wed. I'm meeting my friend Eileen on Thursday for lunch, then off to my DD for supper, and then to my DS Ruth's for dinner. My DS takes me to the airport Friday for my 6:30 am flight.

Judy - just scrolled up - so sorry to hear your DB has 3 broken ribs!! omgoodness, that would hurt to even Breath!!

When I spoke to my DS Alice last night I said I had hoped a few hours with my DB would mean we heal any rift he imagines, because we don't have our families with us for very long, and I'd hate to have any regrets later in life. She said I wouldn't have any regrets because I've tried. That's not enough in my books.......... she also said I seem to have a Story Book view of our family - AS IF!!!! lol trampled those rosy coloured glasses under my heel many long years ago.

Darlene was thrilled to get the quilt..if the other 2 are as enthused the quilts will be a hit.
Mike loved his gift as well, they are such nice people..deserve the best!! Gave me my gift..come spring will finish the back entrance, lighting, panelling etc. last year got new back entrance staircase..love those kinds of gifts..

Cathy and her parents decided not to open their gifts, going to wait till Christmas morning.

Dropped off gifts at Bernie's this morning..a hit! Got my car plugs and wires changed, oil change and filter done, came time to pay, young mechanic at Bernie's shop and Bernie washed me merry Christmas and wouldn't take $$$$.. I actually felt bad..told me to pick up $20 lottery ticked for 50 million dollars tax free and put our 3 names on it which I've done..one never know, look at my friends who recently shared 1.7 million each so it can happen.

Then over to Aline and tom's, chatted there sme time.

Wanted to go over to Bernice and cliff's to drop off gifts but just took tired..tomorrow is another day.

Off to have bath and will chat when I finish my chores
Just put fixings for cabbage rolls on..might have to refrigerate the mixture so my cabbage has time to freeze, they too can be done tomorrow morning

Well, the youngest of the 3 sisters just flummoxed me - she said she can pick me up after my visit with my friend on Wed, and we can go over to her house for a visit from Noon to 7pm!

well, I know I took them by surprise with my trip to Winnipeg, so they didn't know what to do with me. When I first mentioned it, my DD Michelle asked me where I was staying, and as no one had asked me, I told her I didn't know.
So, she said I could stay with them all 3 nights, then my DS Ruth said as she was taking me to the airport (return) it would be easier to stay at their place, and my DS Alice is picking me up (my DD is out of town until the afternoon, visiting her MIL and FIL 2 1/2 hours from Winnipeg).
My DS Ruth just emailed me, and said after I visit with my friend, she can pick me up from the restaurant, then pick up Mom and we can go to Ruth's place to have a good long visit until 7pm (then it's back to Michelle's for the night).
Wow - I'm overwhelmed by my DSs' outpouring of feeling and help for me to be able to visit as long as possible with my Mom!!
Then, Thursday night, my DD is having dinner at her home and of course my Mom & I will be seeing each other again!!
neither of these DS's are appreciative of our brother and his "antics". He drinks more than is "nice" because he gets really ratty when he's drinking and thinks he's terribly funny......... but he hurts people's feelings and doesn't care.

Betty - if you win 1/2 of that $50 million, I'll join you in a party lol
