Waiving hi Thunder, how's momma doing? I love that you help DH in the kitchen or just keep him company. This TG both Jake and DH in the kitchen fixing the feast, was marvelous! While they worked, i was right behind them cleaning up, lol they kicked me out for being so prompt, rolflol...So, I have been meaning to tell you, On Veterans Day, we were in Wisconsin, at our favorite place to eat. At the Bar was an elderly couple...I walked up to him and said, you look like a Veteran, He proudly said yes! I continued on to say Thank you for all you've done for our Country all the while wrapping my arms around him. Now, this was about 7 in the evening. He looked at his wife, mist in his eyes then back at me and said I was the first all day!! Wow, I was so glad I decided to make that move.

Dianne, how wonderful Santa Warren was feeling so great to do shopping!! So glad he found such comfy jeans too, just got to love when that happens.
Sorry to hear the additional news, I will continue to hold you two in prayer. Sounds like you have all the details worked out. When my Pappa Jack was so ill, he and Mumma did the same. In fact, Mumma made a few of her arrangements as well...I feel bad for you and Quill too, so painful to watch. I hope he finds some comfort. So sweet of Smokey to keep close watch during episodes.

Well, i am back in business with a Cell phone!! Woohoo, first thing i did was Txt the kids and Liz...just to say hi! Had a great Gab session with Liz yesterday, to catch up on each other! GRRR, still no wallet, DH still checking the accounts, no activity, sigh, I do believe this house ate it!! plus i keep hoping it will turn up in the mail! Such a pain in the behind...LOL Betty, I do keep praying to St, Anthony about it. lol yesterday had a little talk with Brian over it too...i was working at the new house getting it ready for Brit, so i said hey Brian, since i'm helping your girl, how about helping me, figure out where that wallet is! heavy sigh, still no wallet.
But, other things are looking up, got paid, so now I can do a little shopping...
Today, i am back home, got to get some laundry done and hopefully mulch the rest of the leaves! It's the last of the nice days so also hoping to get a few decorations out front too...Tomorrow back at the house to finish up and then Brit moves in this weekend! She HAS to get out of the house, the Cuz is driving her bonkers! Well he is driving us all bonkers, I just may have to go work with Steve to finish, i'm sick of hearing about all the nuttiness the Cuz is causing, we just want out!!

OMG, DH, had to perform surgery twice to get the remaining crud out of his finger. Got it all now, but goodness, the poor guy just ripped the same finger open!! How?? With his own finger nail...yikes!

Judy, check around the center area of your car...where the counsol might be, and under the seats in that area. Mine slid down in there....and got stuck between the seat and that. Couldn't see it from top, literally had to almost stand on head looking under seat and use a coat hanger to pull it out!!! No chance you put it in the glove compartment is there?
Couch cusions also eat wallets here. lol Did you have a different coat or jacket on it could be stuck in? Hand it to Steve and he stuck it in his? Different purse? Picnic table outside?

Betty, the girls went to the big one last month....don't know if they will go Saturday or not. I am just not up to walking in crowds yet and the financial situation is a "no go" for the fun stuff right now.

Regarding the kids. DS leaves home between 5:45 and 6:45...depending on day and start time...and doesn't get home til 4:00. DD "the child" leaves home at 1:30...and works til 11:00 getting home at 11:30 p.m. She sleeps in in the morning (still up doing homework for college when gets home) and DS is in bed by time she gets home at night....so, its working.

I can't get out until this week sometime if all works out to do my Santa shopping for the gift exchange....so should be able to get it in mail by end of next week.

Betty, MamaFran should stay home and rest. Not a good time for a trip...and to pick up more germs in a casino crowd.....no no no.

Good Morning everyone!

I got pizza but no one wanted any so I just bought myself a small. John came in from a pool tournament drunker than a skunk at about 9pm and decided to fry up a chicken. There was only 5 of us there just chatting away so I decided to wait for the chicken. He has a deep fryer that he plops a whole chicken in and it's literally the best fried chicken I have ever had. He doesn't flour it or anything, just plops it in and 30 minutes later we have this awesome dinner! It was good seeing Brian again, he's wanting us to come out on Saturday night so he can visit with Dave and hang out, I'll talk to Dave but maybe we'll take him over to Boot Scooters.

Dianne I'm so sorry about Quill not feeling good.

Betty mom going without insurance, hope she doesn't decide to fall or do anything 'funny.' One of my ex-boyfriend's grandmother used to hurt herself to get attention, and I don't mean just skin her knee or something, I mean she would break bones on purpose to get attention, it was nuts.

Judy I agree with Debbie, I bet it's between your seat and the center console of your car. It's a very dark, small space and I lost my cell phone down there the other day, the track that slides the seat back and forth keeps things from falling under the seat where they would be easily seen. Seems like cars weren't built like this in the past, there was plenty of room between the seat and console to dig lost things out of.

As for Mom Crissy, specialist called her in 3 times in one day and had her come to see him and tests done, unheard of really, one was at 9:30pm and they had to get up and out of bed to go back to the hospital..they had told her she has osteo in the worse degree but apparently the bones around her ribs are almost needle like fragments. That being said, I'd really have to watch she doesnt fall AND her breathing, well she has to be on a machine 4 times a day for 1/2 hr. yikes, no call yet of her decision.

Debbie, I can understand you wouldn't want to brave the crowds..if mom doesn't come I'll not go the Hamburg!
Wow, that gives you extra time to rest with only having one of the kids at a time. How did THE child make out re her insurance after her episodes with deer?

Betty she doesn't need to be going anywhere. I understand why she does go, she probably feels like if she doesn't make this trip she may never be able to go on another one, but my goodness she's to the point of needing to doing things locally. Toronto is a big city and I'm sure has ample things to do.

Oh Betty, that is NOT good A quck stop of the breaks...and the seat belt itself could injur her ribs! Park her butt at home...and promise her a present! Especially toting a breathing/nebulizer machine. NOT NOT NOT good!

She called and said IF she felt like she is right at this minute then she feels she could go, but, she's been up all night coughing and hotel would surely tell us to leave.. She said she's concerned that if we go I WOULD go to the craft show and so I'd have to drop her and Aunt Muriel off at the shopping mall and 4 hours shopping would kill her..I quickly said that the reason we picked this weekend was the craft show, she said NO..then I said about the casino (which she loves) NOPE cannot go there because they allow smoking inside..while I waited, they called about my vehicle, said it would be $489 + tax + tire change so well over $500..go back to her call and tell her, she says, SO YOU DON'T WANT TO GO??? Can you believe this woman..told her no I did not say that, my bags are packed and I'm ready to leave at 3pm tomorrow, she says "I JUST DON'T know, you don't seem very happy about taking me"

Give me a break lady..told her I will not make the decision for her, she knows how she feels, if she can't go shopping, and she can't go to craft show and she can't go to casino, WHAT IN THE *&^^%$% can she do.

Tires, wires, not sure what else...nope cannot do that Crissy because I have to go regardless, I'd never hear the end of how I went 3 times in the last 6 weeks and when it came to her going I said I could not go..nope, I will be going anyway, lots of things I need done..not even going to tell her that because then she would say she has to go because I was going, sick or not sick..

Evening all, just got a call from Ann, she will pick me up in a few minutes to head out to my DIL for the Silpada (?) jewelry show...not really interested in buying anything but almost feel that I have to..know they won't talk me into having a gathering. Do you have these shows as well or is it just a Canadian company..won't be there too long, Ann says she has much to do as she is having company and I've much to do packing and organizing myself..besides my bed is calling!

Ann, on behalf of the painting gals bought Darlene a beautiful silver chain. 22"' she will love it, last Christmas she had the party and bought several pieces and I bought her the lathe locket that had colorful inserts. Ann bought herself a pendant for her silver chain, when she wasn't looking I jotted down the item number of earings to match and will give them to her for Christmas..she was ooooo'ing about them..$60 later I had done my shopping..had I not already bought Melanie a Sony e-reader, a Xmas quilt that I'm doing and a few other things I would have bought her a piece she was ogling at...

Mary, you are always off and running, you must be feeling better! Enjoy the lights..Suzanne and I were saying last night that there are many more homes lit up this year.. As for snow skiing, if the temps start to stay frigid, they will start blowing snow, we have 3 different ski resorts about 15 minutes from here...Mt St.Louis, moonstone and carriage hills, so come on up...

I'm here Thunder. Been lurking a bit and sewing like crazy trying to get things done for Christmas. Finally have a gastro dr appt next Monday so I'm hoping for answers.
Norm had his PET scan yesterday and again it appears clean!!! Of course we must wait for the report from the radiologist dr to be sure. This will make nearly three years clean. We were thrilled... The doc said he would be going for CAT scans now instead of the full PET scan. That's a big step in the right direction....

Just checking to see what Betty's seesaw situation is at the moment? Drive safe if you do go Betty.

Sailor will be here for Christmas, if the soldier gets home ( to the USA) he will stay at his home for Christmas, and come here just after the new year !!! that is just fine by me :) we will celebrate twice!!! looks like he may be arriving around the 16th :) and I am much more likely to get a little time off in January !!

Betty, some of the soldiers coming home will be leaving the military as their "time" is up, so they will be looking for work. Many still have time left so they will remain in service....like my son. I think he has a year left on this "sign up", but I am pretty sure he will re-enlist. he has 12 years in now, and nothing great in the civilian world for employment....yeah, pretty sure he will re-up...If he stays in, he can retire at 20 years of service, at 38 years young...and start a whole new life, still getting military benefits, and a good chunk of monies for college !!! the way the job market is now, it would be kinda crazy for him to get out now..

Thunder, yes the sashing and corner blocks are 5 inches. Very easy to do. No problem with any of you using the design.
