Hello all - doing ok with this bronchitis - takes a lot out of me, but I'm still working.
I have some GREAT news! After 7 months out of work, my DH heard of a job on Sunday, applied Monday, and started today! He'll be doing warehouse work, as well as driving for the company. He's doing deliveries, I guess... the company is http://amresupply.com/ I'm so thrilled for him!!! apparently every 3rd Saturday he'll work 9-2. That means extra $$ in his paycheque. kewl, eh?

Sorry I've missed most of your posts, but know that I am hoping for the best for you.
I haven't sent my swap box, although it's sitting there with nothing wrapped......... I've been so "out of it" that I barely work and go to meetings, etc at night...... tired. I did go to the Dr on Sat and got some puffer meds. Now I just have to make sure I don't exert myself and I'll be fine. won't be going to choir practice on Thurs and won't be singing on Sunday

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, that is great news that he got a job! Congrats! That will makes everything so much easier for you guys!
Now get yourself feeling better so you can get those pressies wrapped and mailed, and enjoy your Holiday's!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Susan, what thrilling news..both of you working, a big sigh of relief and I'm sure Bob is thrilled to be on payroll especially in a field he's worked at before.
Lord has blessed you both!
OMG how are you putting in entire days feeling so badly??? Have you been back to the doctors?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Well, my friends. Finally got some answers this morning. The nurse I saw yesterday called and said the labs I had done were fine. She had shown my records to the doc I was suposed to see and he said I needed to have my gall bladder removed and to see a surgeon. Well, I called my primary and I'm afraid I lost it with the nurse. My doc wasn't in just then and I let it all out to this poor girl. She evidently called my doc and the doc just called and talked with me. The nurse yesterday had shown my record to the doc I was supposed to see and he said I needed a surgeon, not him. I guess he treats problems but doesn't extricate them...After all this time it has come full circle back to the gall bladder. There are no stones but there are calcium deposits. I have what is called a porcelein gall bladder. And if not removed, can lead to gall bladder cancer. So my primary is setting things up for me at our hospital so I can get all this done. The sidetrack to the lung doc was necessary as were the tests I had done. But like my primary said, the specialists send you from one to another instead of looking at the whole person. I feel much bettter today than I did yesterday. I'm sending a note of apology to the poor girl who had the misfortune to answer the phone this morning!!!! I was really down on the whole medical profession!!! So the journey continues. Thank heaven Norm's PET came out clean!!!! Don't know what I'd do without him right now. He does manage tokeep me on an even keel most of the time!! LOL
So now i'm off to get some laundry done. I think I have Sean this afternoon.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well that is indeed semi good news Barb is it not? The worry of you having cancer behind you? Ahhh that poor little nurse but I'm sure she knows what has gone on and how frantic you've been..a note will put a smile on her face!
You did get answers though..are you feeling relieved?? take you a few days to take it all in.

Do they not do gall bladders without having to do open surgery?

Oh Barb ... sending prayers to you that they'll get their act together ASAP!! I agree ... they better, or they'll have a lot of angry people to answer to. LOL

Mary, so glad you had a nice week-end.

Susan, hurray on the DH's job and hope you soon feel better.

Linda, I don't suppose you've had any follow-up about your theft?

Betty, you make me tired just reading your post! LOL

Dianne, how is our Santa Warren today? I hope he's having half as much fun following our Christmas swap as I've had doing it! I can't wait until my buddy gets her pkg. I think the anticipation of that is as much fun as getting one of your own! ☺

Thea, I'm sure those cookies are a delight, but I'll be putting on enough poundage with the candy. LOL Have fun with your friends this week-end.

Off for now. Phone!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Isn't that the truth Suse, it's nice getting a 'pressie' of course but it's exciting to ship off a box and see how happy we've made our DG friend!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Barb, so glad you finally got an answer! Let us k ow when you have surgry, so we can keep you in our prayers?

No word on the four wheeler theft, it is gone I am afraid!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Now that we have heard from Barb and have taken a breath of relief (know still lots ahead but for now it's a sigh) I'm worrying about Santa Warren and our Dianne...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

ALERT!! I just received an email from a Tod Frey at USPS saying the package I mailed on December 2nd had an erroneous address and was returned to the post office. There is an attachment that's supposed to open up an address label that you need to pick up the package. IT'S A VIRUS. I didn't open it, the only package I have mailed is to my buddy here, I mailed it via UPS, not USPS, plus the post office doesn't operate this way, they would have returned to sender, not keep it at the post office.

Lyndonville, NY

Crissy, up here...if UPS has a bunch of smaller packages, they drop them at the post office for "rural delivery" when maillady goes out. IF they did this...the mailperson would return it to the Post Office. Did you do any of your mail orderin on line that they would have your email address???

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

You are so welcome Linda Kay. I am just glad that you will enjoy. HUGS BEV

You have to be so cautious, never know when you are being conned...LindaKay, did you fill that sewing box yet. Lol. Will be nice to know where to find things!

Oh my goodness ... Y'all breathe in real deep and maybe ... just maybe you'll get a whiff of this *wonderful latte I'm sitting here sipping on! ☺

Thea, I'm in heaven right now ... I broke a promise to myself and am eating a 2nd turtle as I sip this.

Mmmmmmm!!!

Okay, I'll return y'all to your regularly scheduled program now. ☺

Victoria Harbour, ON

You are too adorable Suse, ok you have me, I believe it was Barb and Norm that gave me a container of Swiss white chocolate coffee mix, going to have one!!

Ahhhh you brought me luck Suse, just after I typed the above, put milk in my cup, yuk/yuk
Sour, so here I am in my Jammie's, what to do,what to do?? Off to the variety store for milk..had some change so I bought 2 pull tab lottery tickets and won $25.00

Now if when Ann gets here and we p,ay tv bingo I'll win the $2,500... Could I be that lucky. Lol

Ooooh and would you believe the girls left about 6 individually wrapped turtles downstairs in the craft room..ate one so I can be part of your evening festivities but I'll save the rest!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Any luck on the bingo? Congrats on the pull tab Betty!

Suse, that latte sounds good!

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Whooo hooo on the win Betty !!!

best....I am sitting here enjoying a cup of pumpkin spice, vanilla caramel :) visiting with my friends.
worst....I am drinking it because .....when I got out of my truck upon arriving home from work.....some one some where close by is/was burning something !!! and the smell made me have a nasty asthma attack :( so chest hurts, throat is not happy, and I can not talk...hoping hot drink will help. and hoping nobody's house burnt down....

wondering if the fire dept is up to no good again??? a few weeks ago for for a duration of a bit over a week...they had fire drills / practice on two house just down the road....burnt them every day / night !!!! I understand the need for the training, butt they could have warned the neighbors!!! I came home from work one evening, and came in and called the fire dept, as the house was smoking like crazy, and no firemen any where to be seen!!!! they said they had had a training there, and that some one was going by every hour or so to check up on it??!!! well if it had burst into flames just after they left....and no one came back for "an hour or so" it could have burnt down half the neighborhood!!!! hubs and I both spoke to the fire dept, and let them know we were NOT HAPPY that they would do this, and not notify us!!!! and now those ugly burnt down shells sit there...looking ugly. I think they should bull doze them down and take the trash away!!! makes the neighbor hood look bad..

well thanks for the "vent"

Judy / Linda k. quilt is fantastic!!! Linda K. / Bev very nice goodies there too !!! I love the fabric on that sewing box! and that blue quilt looks like it would suit you well LK, and Suse / Thea, sounds like some yummy stuff there also...

Barb, big hugs...
