Best/worse/what did I learn today? chatting/all welcome

Hi y'all!
OMG ... I lost y'all! LOL It must have been the "turkey haze"!

Dianne, I'll be thinking about you and Santa Warren tmr but am so happy to see how much better he's feeling. Was distressed that Quill was feeling bad again. Hope he's better tonight. Poor baby ...

Debbie, I'm so thrilled about your progress! I think it's great you don't have any extra stress right now. I think that's just what the Dr ordered ... ☺ You need to put "Debbie" first for a change. :-) Moses also has a Bday in Dec. He's a New Year's eve baby. LOL

Thea, gosh, I'm so sorry I missed your birthday, also!! Glad you had a nice one ... ☺

Betty, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The only problem was ... there was waaay too much food. I couldn't even taste everything. That's really horrible to say I know.

Mary, I'm so happy for you! Sounds like your family has been very blessed ... ☺

Betty, meant to say, hope your Mom likes her blanket. I sent my Mama flowers on her anniversary the other day. I felt like I needed to acknowledge it even though Daddy is gone. She really made me feel good about them. I'm so glad I did it ...

Well, I've been sitting here sipping on some delicious apple cider but it's gone now so am off to bed. I'll ~ to everyone else for now. Y'all have a blessed night ...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Mornin all, looking at the clock, won't gab, just got to fall back asleep

Got caught upon you all, I'll post me thoughts later

Waving

Victoria Harbour, ON

After 1 hour coaxing I fell back asleep, not trying to do much this am..

How brave you are Dianne to get all your concerns addressed by the doctor, overwhelming to face what may be ahead..how wonderful you got to spend time Christmas shopping with Santa Warren, hmmm even we are tired after a day facing thr Christmas rush!

Yep, love going to xs cargo..bought an iron that was $129 in stores for 39..just love it..always something I like .. Bought my camera there as well..great prices, never had problems with the items

Debbie, soon you will have empty nest syndrome and you will be out looking for kids. Lol
Nice though to get housecleaning done and with just a few in the house find it clean at the end of the day.

LindaKay, you order online because no fabric shops nearby or is it cheaper in the long run? Can't wait to hit Joann's this weekend, in need of fabric, hard to believe after all I received and bought on my last 3 trips, but I'm in need.

Best I get going, coffee and hot cross buns for the taking

Sooo mild outside, calling for snow later in the week..sure hope not Friday when I'm shuffling off to buffalo!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I order online, because we only have a very small fabric section at out Wal-Mart, so if I don't drive 150 miles, I have to order it online! So far I have not been disappointed with what I have ordered. I usually order from http://www.thousandsofbolts.com/, or http://www.fabric.com/. They both have great prices, and fast shipping.
It is 32 degrees here this morning. Out first freeze of the year! No frost on anything, just cold!
Thanks for the coffee and hot buns!

Victoria Harbour, ON

LindaKay, 41 here..but snow is a coming!!! I'll have to check out that sight..was just on Joanns, could believe over the weekend flannel was $1.49 yard..drats and more drats..couldn't find this weekends flyer to see what prices are..will do measuring and take note of what fabrics I need..sure to be wayyyy cheaper than here.

Brought in a quilt, have some hand sewing to do, brought 12 wood pieces to sand a bit and paint black (step 1) 7 are Suzanne's..will give me something to fill in my day otherwise I'll be falling asleep.

Waiting for 10a.m. to go to Sony Store, Oct 5th thought I'd get ahead of the game and buy 4 of the new release Sony e-readers..they were $169 each..see they are on till Christmas for $149. If you take in the taxes that is $100 savings I should have in my pocket (another Christmas pressie) but the receipt says you are only able to return or get credit for 30 days..well over that BUT they should be able to do something..I'm not great in negotiating but I'll try the old lady thing..lol and see what happens

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Just take them back and tell them they are duplicate gifts, get store credit, then go back in a few hours go to another store clerk, and buy the ones on sale! But sometimes, they will only give you refunds for the sale price!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Only problem with that is Jeff downloaded about 800 to 1,000 books on them...lol

Just going to say I don't think it's right that they don't give me refund or store credit..even store credit I could buy DIL the case and light which is $60..that even would appease me

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just got back from Sony, was NOT a problem...oh happy days..I'm $90.40 richer than I was this morning..lol

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

That's wonderful Betty!!!!

Lyndonville, NY

Oh Betty, such good news! I think people know nowdays if you don't cooperate...they will loose a sale and get it cheaper elsewhere. Every penny counts these days. Now you have extra for the craft show Saturday.....or Cracker Barrel! lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

lol, almost already spent Debbie..need fabric that is 2 1/2 yards in length for the quilts..if I pay the $10-16 a yard here it would mean I might get more done on them..still mega work, if I don't then it means I'm a week behind..worth spending extra dollars..

Wonder how many vendors are the same...there was someone selling a fleece type sweatshirt for $75..so pretty, Darlene ha'd and hum'd and didn't buy it and she never left my side so am hoping they will be there so I can get it for her.. Really on have Jim and Darlene and Lenny, rest are done.

Greg called, hadn't seen him in a bit..working on ship costing for millions, spend Sunday doing pre-season maintenance on snow machines so said he'd drop in after work..ok..had to bribe him with lemon merangue pie..lol

I am so wound up today, shaking my head, no calls coming in, so I went to $$$ store to look for black paint as Darlene looked all over in Midland - NONE, went to $$ store here, no black..

Went to Sony's downtown, just got back and now I think I'll run to Fabricland and check out Walmart for black paint..who would have thunk black would be hard to find..maybe everyone used it us doing Halloween things.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh Linda! She's the sweetest. Betty how's Sue doing?

Betty, yay glad you got some money out of those Betty! Tryptophan is a chemical in turkey that causes you to be tired after you eat it.

Dianne I agree, if he isn't doing chemo then there's no point in going to that doc.

I've been working and trying to catch up all morning, so I'm going to dig back into it.

We were going to go look at Honda Civics on Saturday but it was raining all day so we scratched that for now. Hopefully next Saturday will be better. Seems it's been raining every weekend and we can't get anything done that requires being outside. It's annoying.

Debbie I hope Nate got on his way ok. How's everyone else doing?

Lyndonville, NY

Crissy, was so ticked at Nate by the time he left it was a "don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya" type thing! He worked til 9:30 Saturday night....and came home and told DH "You can move me now". DH has a wicked cold and is usually in bed by 9:00. SO, by the time he got all his stuff.....and his poor cat packed....it was 10:30!!! Now he works at a grocery store...a big one. YET, he had absolutely NO food, litter, litter box or anything for his cat! I was SO ticked with him. And she is sick....she needs care. I gave him enough til today....Have not seen or heard from him since.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Hate to say it but maybe you won't, he's just way way to disrespectful and mean. "The world revolves around me and everyone is supposed to know it!!" BS!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG Debbie, after all you've done for him..what in the world turned him around..perhaps his parents were not off target not wanting to help him! So now it's just you, Paul and the 2 kids..

How are you feeling today? Not up to Hamburg Craft show yet????

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Geez Deb!!! Someone needs to get through to that kid that God helps those that help themselves!!! You and your family were angels long enough. I'd report him to the humane society!!

Yea Betty!! clapping hands

Good grief Debbie ... didn't he know which side his bread was buttered on?

Hi Barb, good to see you! Have been thinking and praying for you.

Crissy ... thanks for sending the rain my way! We sure did need it!

Ooops, need to go check the soup. Turkey, veggie and wild rice ... smellin goood!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh you're very welcome Suse! Glad my rain could help you!

LOL BARB!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Suse, that's what is nice about having leftover turkey, it's the meal that keeps giving and giving..can smell it from here!

Getting colder outside, Darlene called me to say they had been hearing of freezing rain tonight..cheched 3 local weather channels before leaving work, didn't see anything to confirm it..didn't switch the telephones (which I should have) and watch if the weatherman is wrong..drats wouldn't be good.

Walked in the door, already have my bath on, guess who wants to be in bed early!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hello everyone,

Well I was just about to post this morning when I saw LK posting those fabric links…well needless to say I got soooo side tracked drooling over the fabrics and the prices that after 2 hours I had to pry myself away from the PC to get some housework done…lol
Oh btw LK I just love that Christmas quilt and those Santas…have you decided yet on the colour of the other one?

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes…and don`t you worry about being late, being “new” here how could you have known what day my BD is…lol…I ate and celebrated for/with you all…must have gained 5 pounds…lol

Mary to answer your question what I miss most about Germany besides my Family…is the Area where I grew up…mountains…vineyards…lakes…so many hiking trails and they all seems to end near a restaurant or cafe/bakery. The closeness to other countries…25 minutes to France…45 minutes to Switzerland…5 hours to Italy and so on….here you drive nearly 3 days before you are out of the province…lol. I miss it but I still prefer to live in Canada…just wish I had endless money to visit more often and a faster flight!! 8 hours to sit in one tiny spot is killer…lol
Will have to check for that movie Mary…never heard of it.

Betty those pies look soooooooooo yummy…when I come visit you I want to have pie lessons too…that is something I never tried from scratch.

Dianne, so sorry to hear that Quill is getting those spells again…poor girlie….hope she feels better soon and that those spells will stop…must be scary for her too!!
I am so happy for you and Warren that you had a great outing in Kingston…bet it made Warren feel so good to get out and get new Jeans…gives you at least a bit of normality back. Always praying for many happy days for you and Warren.

Debbie…I know it is very hurtful when those “adopted” children are becoming ungrateful and downright rude. Like you we had 5 “extra” children living with us over the years. We did the best to help them and give them a home. Well only one is still in contact with us…she called me on my BD and she thanked me again for straightening her out and being a parent to her. Made me all misty eyed for sure. Can`t save or change them all…but you did the best you could. *hugs*

Barb…hope you are feeling better!!! Are you still sewing up a storm??

Well better get going…have a great evening all
And hugs and Love to everyone!!!
Thea

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All !

Thea - I could sure understand missing the terrain and the proximity to the other countries ... from the little week I spent with my sis there... we drove to France (never thought one could do that !) and visited an old castle that was just gorgeous.!

Debbie - I know that Nate will be calling you one day to Thank you. Betty told me DSD1 would be grateful one day and dontcha know... I think it is coming about....

Great to see you all... and positive notes... Deb being released... Santa Warren feeling up to some Christmas shopping... Dianne I wish I could really see all those geese!

YAY ! I Mailed my Christmas Swap Today ! YAY! THe first Christmas package of the season is on it's way.... now just to see how long it takes.... to get there..... to ________'s house....in ________..... :o)

((HUGS))
Mary

Verona, ON

LOL Mary they aren't geese they are wild turkeys. Lordy gal you do need to get up here and have a real walk with me. Big difference in size - wild turkeys can be huge. When the Tom ruffles his tail feathers it is an amazing sight.

Quill has not had a good day. We were gone to the CC for several hours and she was not at the door to greet us when we arrived home. That had me worried. She felt well enough to eat her dinner tonight - don't tell Santa Warren I snuck 3 of his suasages into her bowl as a treat. She is very lethargic and there are no tail wags. That has me really concerned. Our vet who is a personal friend will call me in the morning and we can decide what plan of action to take.

Well Santa Warren had a fairly good report from the Palliative Care doc unfortunately the cancer in his lungs and chest seems to be spreading. He was sent for a chest xray and will be having a Cscan and MRI as soon as they can book him an appointment. The doc was really impressed how much the change in meds has helped him. We both are so thankful to have Dr Harle as DH's primary cancer doctor.

Man Debbie Nate needs a character adjustment that is for sure. What a jerk!! You and Paul did so much for him and the fact he is so callous and uncaring about the family that took him in really shows his true character and colours.Barb is right, Nate had better start helping himself. Is Shane still at the factory?

Way to go Mary - mailing out that parcel..... I know someone is going to be really excited when it gets there.

Betty glad you were able to get some $$$s back at Sony. Was it your old lady trick that convinced them?

Dianne

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

My package went out today also!
Dianne, so sorry to hear about Quill not doing well, as well as Warrens visit with the Dr. Just glad to hear the meds are keeping the pain away for the most part.
Thea, I love those fabric sites, and one can get lost while shopping them!
I think I will make one more red Santa.

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

I save up my $$ for cyber Monday!!! great fabric sales!! I spent about 4 hours planning quilts, comparing prices, and ordering fabrics!! used up about half of my Christmas budget. now we just got to hope it arrives quickly, so I can sew, sew, sew !!! :) I was gonna sew today, but instead, spent time with hubs in the kitchen. We made turkey pot pies, and soup. He is an awesome cook, it is fun to be his helper. work tomorrow, then next day off...really have to get some sewing done.

Dianne, so happy Warren is doing better! My package is "in the works"

Betty, great that you got monies back from Sony :)

hugs to Y'all

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening all, drats just woke up, knew at 6pm I should have gone straight to bed rather than be uncomfortable on the couch, now I've had a coffee, piece of lemon meringue pie, watching the hunks on NCIS and doubtful I will fall back asleep. Know many of you will understand the concept of thick hands, difficult typing tonight so maybe a painkiller will help lesson the ache and put me to sleep!

Dianne, heart goes out to you, roller coaster day, finding out the cancer is spreading, then on an up because the meds are helping Santa Warren and now Quill' s doing poorly! How overwhelmed you must be...glad you both have friends around to offer support!Hard decision to know if you should,/when you should consider saying goodbye to a loved family furry. I'm at that point with Sailor...guess finding out about euthonizing last Saturday is step one in accepting what is to come....

LindaKay, you are an enabler, lol you just had to know we'd not get off the site for hours, spending most of the viewing of fabrics doing ohhhh, awwww, I want..you are all so lucky with your fabric stores..as I said yesterday going to fabricland, maybe 40 bolts of Christmas fabric, $16 to $18 a meter is just too expensive for my blood..you know, if you ever need more Santa faces, they are for the asking! Nobody owned up to getting the 1 defect so I could replace?? Am sure the recipients will love them

Thunder, am sure the online fabric store knows how importants it is to get the fabric shipped, bet you have it by Thursday, then comes the work..you've got many of your gifts already made do you not? Miss spending time with my Roger at Christmas time, he was quite a chef, cooked for hundreds but what I don't miss is cleaning the kitchen afterwards..funny, neither of my boys took after him for his love of cooking. Sometimes we have to set our sewing aside and put spending the day with hubby first.well, maybe not at Christmas though...lol

Mary you are organized lady getting your Christmas box out, I'd best get a move on and get mine shipped. Have everything just need to label..will do with the rest of the boxed I need to make and label..ohhh Friday is coming quickly, need to get those kits done..how I could have used a snow day or freezing rain day. Lol. You sneaky person, didn't let any hints out as to where your box is travelling..hmm did you post early as it was coming across the Canadian border?? Hint p,ease. Lol

Yep, before you know it, those bad years will be behind you and you will have established a strong and loving bond with your step-daughter..who would have thunk it?? How is the witchiepoo at work, busy enough to leave you alone?

Thea, can't imagine leaving such beauty, no wonder you are lonesome for home! I'd love to see more of my country but as you say, can drive for days/week on end to see some of our provinces..not an enticement to jump in the car and say off I go!

As for the pies, be my p,erasure to make pies with you. Lol about the only thing near a stove I don't get panicked about doing.

You did a great thing in helping out that young woman, glad to see she appreciated it..

Ohhh look at the time..best try and get some sleep

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Rise and shine!! Another short night for me…would be nice to once in a while to sleep through the WHOLE night…lol

Yeah Mary you HAVE to come to visit us Ontario Girls…so we can show you our wildlife…lol

Like Dianne said the wild turkeys can be huge!!! Last year in March I was sitting in the living room knitting and in the corner of my eye I saw something move on the street. Couldn`t believe my eyes…there was this HUGE turkey strutting down the street in front of my house. Luckily I had my camera handy otherwise nobody would have believed me…lol…So here is a male wild turkey for you Mary!!!

Can`t wait to see all the goodies everyone will receive from their Buddy!! Sooooo are we allowed to open the gift right away or do we have to wait for Christmas??

Mine will be mailed this weekend…like Betty I am heading to NY (either Massena or Odgensburg)…hmmm but all your talk about Crackerbarrel made me crave their food… so we might drive all the way to Watertown…lol…How far is that from you Debbie?? Hopefully in the new year we get to meet…maybe in Syracuse (love to go shopping there)!!
Betty…when you mail from the USA do you put your Canadian Return address?? And also is it ok to use my own box or should I wait and purchase a priority box in the USA? I have never done this before and I just want to make sure the box will arrive save and sound!! Also what time are the Post offices open…We want to beat the traffic at the border so we are leaving early in the morning.

Dianne…so sorry to hear that the cancer has spread…but praying very hard that even though it spread he still can be painfree and enjoy your time together. Poor Quill Girl…hope the Vet friend can give you some meds to help the girlie feel better. Bigggggggg hugs for you.

LK…I could not believe the prices at “thousandsofbolts”…at about 5$ a yard it is almost one quarter of what we pay here!! And all the Fabric is quality fabric with known manufactures. I will definitely do some shopping there in the new year.

Thunder at least you are planning your quilts and then buy the fabric…I am just an impulse buyer…buy first then plan and a lot of time when I look at the fabric I had bought I am like “what the dickens was I thinking” lol I too enjoy cooking with my Hubby in the kitchen.

Well better get going the crew who will install the new furnace will be here and I am feeling a migraine coming on too. Have a great day everyone
Love and hugs

Morning, yikes I've had lots of morning today, sleep a bit, up and at it, slee a bit, up and at it, you get my drift..not tired though, think adrenaline keeps me going...Thea, if you are posting from USA then guess the box is not for me...lol

I do posting in several different ways..depending on the size, sometimes its cheaper to get a free flat rate box and fill it to the brim, where weight doesn' count. Post office is generally open at their main locations quite early in the morning, not sure if it is 8am or before?? have to key in the post office at your destination and it will give you that info.

Regardless of how I do the box, flat rate or wrapped I always put my home address on it as per the postal service worker..that way if it goes amuck I'll get it back.

Amazing how those turkeys disappear right around Thanksgiving

Thea, go rest your head, all the worries about your headache probably doing it.

Verona, ON

Quill started wagging her tail about 4 am this morning. I am thrilled! And I must say so is she lol!

Sleep the whole night through Thea? Now that is an interesting concept. Can't say I have done that is a long, long time but sure would like to. In my next life I want to come back as a sleeper!

Betty were you able to fall back to sleep? Wonder if deep down you were worried about the possibility of freezing rain although I know you are like me and have funny sleep patterns if and when you do sleep. That lemon meringue pie sounded good. Hmmmm maybe that today instead of cookies is on my baking agenda.

Betty is right LK you and several others on this thread are enablers. I love it! I honestly think you all have piqued my interest in sewing again. I have a Fisherman's Knit sweater half crocheted - been in a bag for a few years. Think I will pull that out today and see if I can even figure out where I left off.

(((Barb))) only 6 more days until you have some answers. Hope you are feeling a bit better. Holding you close to my heart!

There ya go Mary, Thea has posted a pic of the wild turkey........ quite a bit larger than a Canada Goose.

Thea I chuckled at your comment of the turkey strutting down your street. Years ago when we lived in the old farn house on the township road I looked out 1 fine Spring day and there was a beaver walking no actually marching right now the centre lline on Desert Lake Rd. I couldn't believe my mind. I knew in the Spring sometimes the older beaver would be forced out of the lodge as the dogs and I had encountered a few on the farm lane and in the meadows. They can get quite nasty then so you know to keep your distance. Like you I took a pic of it as noone of our city friends would believe me if I hadn't.So there you go Mary when you join Debbie and I for a tosh around the farm in the Spring you wear your wellies and you be on the outlook for cranky beavers.

Susan good to 'see' you. Betcha you are very glad things are hectic for you right now. Consider the alternative, right? So what was the story from your boss who was transporting a deer IN his car? Here they would strap the deer to the roof of the car not stuff it in. Course here during Deer Hunting you will see racks off of deer strapped either to the hood or the top of the car over the windshield. Not exactly my idea of a cool vehicle decor but what ever turns your crank I guess.

Suse good to read your post too.How is Franklin Moses?

Thunder I have been racking my brain - slim pickins I know - but I can't remember where you work. Please refresh my memory.

Need more coffee!BBL

Good morning...

Sighs and more sighs, I've LOST my wallet! last time I had it was Friday, went to the bank, never left my car...Yesterday entire day spent searching, no wallet.
omg, don't know what the deal is, just soooo forgetful lately...We've checked the accounts and fortunately nothing is amiss, so this gives me hope that it's somewhere in this house!! Then as promised DH fixed/patched the roof, only to find a waterfall on Saturday AM...So went out in pouring rain to add patch, seems we had a valley just enough to cause trouble. But now it seems to be dry, so that's good...

I've got to go gas up...I take a drive up the road as it's cheaper, lol...just hoping I get there with out problems. I love to eat, eat, eat during the holidays and now I'm paying big time. been running to bathroom, yikes not fun and now wishing the rest will pass already, ROFLOL, I am a mess these days!

Anyway, got to go so i get back in time to pick up Jake...I WILL be back shortly! Until then, enjoy the day everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Judy, make sure you call the bank and cancel your cards so no one can use them! And just as soon as you do that, you will find it!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Judy, prayer to St. Anthony so you find your wallet..probably right under your nose!!!

Tony, Tony,
look around.
Something's lost
and must be found!

You've had so much on your mind that it is no wonder you can't focus!
Drats on the roof, best get it reshingled before the snow or rain, calling for a wet winter..pouring here..I worry about the mold.

Dianne, not worried, just would have stayed home anyway..I get so involved and take on so many things that my mind never stops, always in full motion, the minute I fall asleep I'm sure my inner self tells me I'm lagging behind and to get up and at it..tossed/turned, really should have spent the night up working instead of sleeping in till 4:30am lol-could always sleep here at work..

ahhh no can do, getting your wording done, doing labels and when I finish that I'm painting candle holders black for me and Suzanne..ordered 40, think I'll order 8 more..everytime I do my Christmas list I think of someone else.. Roger always said, 'if your name is in the phone book, am sure you are getting a gift from Betty'..think he is almost right..lol

Betty, did you ever get through and make that appointment for your arm?

Love that lettering!

Victoria Harbour, ON

The specialist office never even called me back..waiting until 2pm to call Dr. office and ask them to send out a 2nd request for appt. Took 2 pain killers this morning just so I could function..was just telling Suzanne that I was on Hwy. 400, had Christmas music playing, looked at my speedometer and here I was going 80..yikes, they'll call police for a slow moving grannie..think the pills made me mellow lol

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Thank you Betty on the info about the boxes…will check when the post office is open on Saturday.
I really love the lettering…will that be a stencil type thingy for us?? I sure hope I don`t have to try to make that free hand…lol…nobody would be able to read it afterwards…lol
I had to laugh about what your Roger said about you…I am sure he is looking down from Heaven and shaking his head “Here she goes again!!!” lol
LOL Granny driver...tooooo funny...just make sure you are not in the passing lane!!! lol

Dianne…I am soooooooo happy Quill is wagging her tail!! I will join you in our next life as sleeper!! So did you find that half-finished sweater? Glad we can be enablers ...I find when I do some crafts it relaxes me and occupies the brain for a bit.
I can just imagine what a sight it was, seeing that beaver walking down your lane…lol…cranky Beaver!! Love the wildlife around here and we have a beautiful wildlife Parc about 1 hour from here on the Quebec side…the animals are all free, except the “hunters” and you can drive your car around in the Parc and feed the animals.
http://www.parc-omega.com/en/

Barb…counting with Dianne the days until your doc appointment…better ask for a BIG room, because we are all going to be there with you!!!

Judy I sure hope you find that wallet!! They should invent a wallet with a locator beacon!! lol And yep better cancel those cards…better save then sorry!!!

Well migraine is still lingering…I need to rest in a dark room and NO noise…lol…kind of hard when you have contractors in the house…going in and out, banging and drilling away and 3 cats screaming in protest because I locked them in a room. Having coffee and leftover cake now…maybe that will help.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wouldn't mind a piece of that cake Thea, have a sweet tooth..do you think having sweets is causing giving you sugar overload and causing the migraine?

I am sure Roger often looks down and shakes his head..lol

OMG Linda and Suzanne already have me plannin a 2012 trip..want to fly from Buffalo to New Orleans, rent a car, spend 2 days there and then drive 1/2 day and spend the night in Memphis and on to Branson Missouri for a couple of days..likely wouldnt be till summer time. Going to check out flight to New Orleans 1 way, then flight home from Branson, not sure though if you rent a vehicle (unlimited mileage) can you drop it off in another city..lots to check, no wonder I don't sleep half the time, too much occupying my head..lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like a nice trip! Yes you can rent a car one way. It may cost a bit more, but it can be done.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lol Crissy, Dave couldn't handle the group I hang out with lol
Do we pass little rock?

Laura, are you gaining ground with your sewing? As long as the cake tasted good, maybe a little more rum and you'd not have noticed it stuck to the pan!

Pouring rain all day, thank goodness it wasn't snow otherwise we's be shoveling for days!

Time for a bath, coffee and maybe put up my feet until Ann comes for t.v. Bingo!
