Glad you got your tree in Jen!!

What can I do with a crumbled carrot cake? It totally stuck to the pan and after some maneuvering it came out in many pieces...grrr. Don't have the time or ingredients for another. It taste so good too! I was thinking on some kind of truffle like thing but what goes well with it? Pineapple maybe mixed in and some cream cheese frosting?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Oh grilled pineapple yum!! Thanks great idea!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

That really sounds scrumptious

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love grilled pineapple!!!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

We're growing a reverse live Christmas tree. At our wedding I gave tiny seedlings of Blue Spruce tied with a ribbon bag of the usual Jordan almonds etc., so we planted a small forest at our property. Two are a bit near each other in our front yard, but they are still both OK there for another year. It's nice to visit people and see how our tree has grown. Every house in our neighborhood has one or two of them. Maybe we'll try a live Christmas tree when its time to replace it.

Thomaston, CT

That is just a lovely gesture!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love that idea!!.. well the town took down the tree today.. too bad they didn't call we would have taken down the lights.. but they were nice enough to move everything for us

I feel reverse live right now! Cleaning the house all day and finishing stuff up.

Thomaston, CT

Looks bare without the tree :(......I cleaned today as well, Victor, but only the upstairs...downstairs tomorrow....also have to get a room ready for my stepson.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I am not finished yet either.

Thomaston, CT

Where's a cleaning person when you need them? Would love to have someone come in once a week.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Me too - in a cute little French maid outfit...

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

LOL!!

Got all my cookies baskets done today. Most of the heavy cleaning is done, just have to do the LR tomorrow and mop the floor, then put the presents under the tree. Since no one is going to be going upstairs I'm not to worried about that.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I know some or most of you will think I am so stupid... but there are a line of cars up the street.. and someone yelling "woo hoo" and clapping outside.. I am almost in tears!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh and Victor I guess I have to s#*k it up and program more TSO songs.. they were yelling for wizards in winter

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Woohoo!! Do you go out and talk to them? I hope you guys at least take a bow, cuz it is well deserved. You work so hard on sharing your joy with others.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

no anytime we go outside.. anyone there leaves.. except the woman who pulled up when I was already outside yesterday

now I feel we can do some good with a collection box for the orphanage in town.. going to have that done for next year.. been seeing some people have a mailbox with a lock .. we couldn't figure out how to secure it so no one would walk away with it.. but I think that will be the way to go

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I think that's wonderful Allison! Not stupid at all...

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

ok that makes me feel better... I am guessing word is spreading.. seems more and more cars everyday.. my neighbors might hate me soon
:::blush:::

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Pooh on them it's only once a year!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

How cool, Allison! You guys are bona fide stars! Great for you - you have earned it. Nice to know you bring joy to so many.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I agree, go out and take a bow!!

Brian & I brought Oryanna & Isabella their big Christmas gift to their house the other night. It's to big to fit under the tree @ my house with all the other gifts. This is Brian & DSIL Michael putting the jeep together for the girls.
