tree comes down tomorrow after everyone leaves.
I'm not sure when the tree will come down. DH will then cut off the branches & put them over the iris seed boxes for protection.
I hate seeing all the trees on the curb the day right after Christmas
Man, didn't realize those tubes were so pricey
My tree will be down on Monday....sometimes the volunteer firemen pick them up, otherwise you have to bring them to the brush dump yourself.....sigh. And a Happy New Year to you, Jo!
that's why I was so thrilled to find those two sets at $30.00 Jen.. the ones we already had.. I bought 1/2 off in July
They used to burn trees here. Now they are chopped up for mulch. We have always used ours for our own garden protection. The same with leaves.
dad also used to use the trees for jumps for me in the summer. A very long time ago!
I only jumped a 2 foot pole.. was the strangest feeling... can't imagine doing your big jumps
She had a couple skillful ponies.
the most we jumped was 2'9".
tree will come down tomorrrow here
This afternoon here....
Tomorrow or Wed.
All of our stuff is down and away. I took advantage of the warm weather to get the ouside stuff in, glad I did too cause it's cold out today!
Allison is probably starting on Halloween!!! ^_^
everything is down and put away.
The Cristmas tree just came down. DH will cut off the braqnches & cover the iris seed boxes for protection in case there is early germination thi spring. this tree had a very nice shape, I'll miss it.
You have more people to help, J2.
it was just DH and DD. My kings are still marching around the house til Jan. 6.
Stays up thru Russian Christmas Jan 7
Do you exchange (Russian) gifts??
Around our town, the trees and lights stay up a bit longer. Sometimes even past Epiphany. Kids are still on vacation until Wed, so there's no breaking the holiday mood just yet.
Basically hubby would just get me something since I'm the one who's Russian
S Rozhdestvom Kristovym!!
Спасибо
Khrystos razhdayetsya!

funny you said that Victor.. we just picked someones garbage a few streets away!!!... SCORE BABY!!!!
Allison, that is too funny! I keep my wreath up for another month or so.....
How did they attach those really high wires I wonder???
Good score on the garbage picking...hee hee
the guy works for the power company.. he uses the bucket truck to do that stuff.. when our tree was there.. I told Randy to buy a cross bow and shoot ropes up there.. LOL.. of course he didn't go for that either
Ah
Wonder if his bosses know he uses it. Liability...
he is there best customer.. I bet he does.. the guy has a few power panels... and a couple generators because they can't supply him enough juice.. he does not use LED at all.. can't imagine what his bill is like
everything is done and packed except for some wayward metal tinsel i overlooked when packing the boxes
Relief, huh, Bill?
Still behind here. Lingering cold symptoms making me lazy. Tree is still up. Most decorations are down, but not yet boxed.
All packed away for next year. ^_^
