Christmas decorations 2011

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

: ) Thank you everyone for all the congratulations! You all put a big smile on my face. I am due in May and I agree I should not be on any ladders! I took a good fall this morning and it made me realize just how clumsy I've become! I'll be having an ultrasound the last week of the month and hopefully will know whether I'm having a boy or girl. I'll let you know. :)

Be careful!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

I'll be more careful! Not sure if I've mentioned this but I drive a school bus and a new company took over my town's contract and the new place makes us fuel our own buses and this morning it was wet out and someone must of had a spill and not cleaned it up like they should have. So my shoes were very slippery and when I went to step over the doghouse to get into my seat I slipt and fell face first! My elbow and knee took the brunt of it. I have a couple boo boos lol :) I'm sure I am fine they say a women's wob is like the best air bag equipment in a car. ;)

Wow - you need a Michelin Man covering, Meredith!

Are you finding out if it's a boy or girl?

We went to 3 different Christmas tree farms today and they were all sold out of balled trees...guess they don't dig to order anymore. So the fake one is going up :(

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love it!! Bet it smells good!! ^_^

I have a question...WHAT COLOR TABLE CLOTH DO YOU USE FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER?
I ask because I tend to shy away from white after once fiasco. :)

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Very pretty Allison!
Celeste I usually do red but this year I am doing a runner no cloth.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

What color runner Ronnie?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

red or green would work

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I do red since my center piece tends to always be green. Red just says Christmas to me more than green and I'm not a gold type gal!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we use the blue & white stuff once in a while too

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

I usually do red. This year I'm working on a runner. I'll post pics when it's done(I'm making it)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

We usually have a white with pointepsettias printed on it.

Finished the tree today. Will try to get some pics up.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Victor! That was what the white was that got ruined!! It was hand embrodied by my Mother's Mother with red pointsettas and greenery on each cornor and in the center.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh, bummer! This was not handmade but is nice.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

When all was said and done it had chocolate mousse and Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur on it.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I feel bad buying a cut one...rather be able to plant it out afterwards

I usually do red, this year I am using a green holly runner with round sparkly green placemats

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love chamboard .. mix it into my rasberry jam for thumbnail cookies!!!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Allison

I'll use white with poinsettias on it, too. My mom had 3 like it.

Very pretty centerpiece, Allison

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks... smells so good in the dinning room now!!!.. wonder if the lilies release the fragrance overnight like outside.. much stronger smelling this morning... should buy some for myself in Feb when I can't take the winter anymore... giving me happy summer thoughts

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Our favorite table cloth is a crate N barrel red cloth with a bare tree across it. It also comes with w white background. I haven't seen if they're still selling it this year. Otherwise, favorite table runner is from a painter's going out of business sale--it has angels flying all over it. No chance to get them out until maybe tonight, so we do have some red snowflake chargers from target.

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Yup Jen I'm going to ask, hopefully the baby doesn't cross their legs! lol :) We got our tree it is huge! It was netted until we bought it so we didn't realize how wide it would end up. IT's at least 8 feet too. I let the girls decorate it and it only has ornaments on the bottom right now. I have to finish it tonight.

New Hampshire, NH(Zone 5b)

Congrats, Meredith. Do you work for First Student, by any chance?

Thomaston, CT

Very pretty flower arrangement, Allison....lilies are the best any time of year! Pixie, I used a white tablecloth today....it is soaking in the washer with Lestoil on red pizza stains & chocolate ice cream stains....and the kids didn't sit at that table....I had placemats on their table....those are soaking, too!
