Christmas decorations 2011

Now to look for sale of Christmas cards for next year. I don't buy them if they aren't nice ones. Often good ones left, not everyone has the same taste. A card from a friend who I was worried about came Dec. 24, thank goodness.

Glad you heard from her, Iris! I always used to find cards the day after Christmas....now I stay away from the crowed stores!

we went to christmas tree shop and they had the lights excluded from the sale.. gggrrrrr

I found 2 sets of these.. for $30.00 each at fairfield gardens.. they do a whole animated walk through thing.. Randy and I paid the $2.50 each to go look.. it was really nice.. I will post some video later

Measured the power used by all the new LED tree lights. I believe I have over 600 lights. Total power - 53 watts! By comparison - one string of the 'regular' lights on my window draws 41 watts.

Great savings....

Man I am WORN OUT....Touch of larygitis, I think I can sleep till next year...LOL

Yes. I always like many lights. With the old small ones, I would shoot for 100 per foot.

oy yeah, some really old ornaments that I got when my dad passed away my mom said she wasn't going to put up a tree by herself
and new ornaments the kids are making in school and church

This year we used all ornaments that wouldn't shatter. Thought for sure Cyrus would knock the tree down but he didn't!
Micky Mouse didn't stay on the hearth of the fireplace because Cyrus kept dragging him off.

If you look at the bottom of this M&M ornament, you'll notice a chunk taken out. Cyrus didn't knock the tree down but he did taste-test a few ornaments.
