Happy Halloween!!!!

Katie I know you're gone but drive safely!

Betty it's about 640 miles from Mulege to San Diego. LOVE the Jester!

Susan looks like you had a good time!! Love your costumes!!

Barb OMG Look at all of that!! Norm certainly got a workout, hope this is a fluke and not the beginning of what's to come this winter. The Farmer's Almanac is usually right, we're supposed to have a very dry winter which is what we don't need, we need some rain or snow or something, I'll put a big PASS on the ice though!

Judy so sorry nothing seems to be getting done unless you do it, other than the kids helping out. If he leaves that hole in the ceiling for that long your roof will cave in and then you're going to have a bigger mess. I would just schedule someone to come out and fix it and if he gets mad, too bad.

Well, we went out Saturday night and Dave fizzled by 11pm, very very unlike him, but oh well!!

Crissy you both look so cute.
Betty did you flannel in the middle or just flannel top and bottom and no middle. Love the colors.
Judy Skittles looks like she is having fun. Too cute.

OMG...Crissy, You and Dave are adorable!!! Thanks about the ceiling. Would love to hire some one, but money is horrific. Haven't felt this Poor since we first got together.. But you know, things will get better, just have to handle one bill at a time.

Love the Mr & Mrs Potato Head theme...LOL, I love when couples dress in a couple theme.
One year Steve and I were Jolly Green Giant and Little Sprout!! i think that was my favorite.

LOL, I've got a GI Joe, a Baked Potato and a Gorilla at my house for lunch...

Betty, you must be sewing up a storm at work..Love your materials. OH MY GOSH....You did such a fantastic job on the Jester outfit! Surely Kyle will get a win at a costume party.

Speaking about work, Susan!! Been meaning to Congratulate you on the job!! So happy for you...What a fun Halloween Party you had. And that little ware wolf sure was adorable.

Barb, sure hope that snow melts...my goodness sure is early for a blizzard. Geesh, yesterday heard about so many deaths and bad happenings, makes me appreciative of what i do have. Yep, the family meeting seems to have been a success...We made it fun, We passed around the witching hat, while every one unloaded the things that bothers us...LOL, one of Jake's buddies was over and he was included, Like keeping his pants covering his butte!! Mostly the girls and i told him we didn't care about seeing his boxers!!

oops, got to get kids back to school!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG Crissy I am so laughing..costumes are great. Sure sign of old age when you leave a party at 11pm and especially a halloween party.

Wow, that's a lot of miles that Katie has to Drive and she's done it what..is this her 3rd time in several months?

Barb, sorry to hear that halloween has been cancelled in your neck of the woods, now with school closures and no halloween, would they hold it another night or just not have it?

Judy..lol..depending on whose boxers it is, I might neak a glance...guess that's because I'm old!
Costume was for Caleb, the younges Judy..a bit on the large side..oh well, comeone can use it later.

Glenview, IL

LOL, Betty, you don't want to sneak a peak...The kid is just a little scrawny guy. Oops, i meant Caleb, had a small case of CRS, hehehe, made the wrong guess. But anyway how did Caleb like the outfit? Know he wanted some bot thing a bit late, at any rate sure hope he likes the jester...And the little tiny Jester is just too cute! You sure are a wonderful Grandma to create such fantastic costumes.
Well...Miss Noseworthy is greeting people from our front window! Will have to take a picture for you...I just love her to pieces, "witch" reminds me, Betty how did your Scarecrows turn out? Maybe i missed a picture??

Mary, Yikes, i hope you didn't loose any plants from that cold snap! Awe, am sure you absorbed more than you think!! especially since you have all the variety...researching them is quite an undertaking, got to smile big at your ambition!
Also, so enjoyed your day at Football with work. sure looked like you had a great time...

Debbie, Are you all snuggled up in your new recliner?? Was good to see Pauls surgery went well. sure hope it's the last. How's he doing? Yikes, I have been slapped in the face and poked in the eyes by branches, yesterday was the worsed of all the days, so any that hurt me, i got rid of!! LOL, take that branches.

Katie, Hope that you have safe travels. i am sorry to hear of your loss. Sending you an arm wrap.

Betty, Please give Ann a big Arm Wrap, very sorry to hear of her loss too...

Awe, Barb, what a disappointment for the kids. Well, hopefully they will still celebrate Halloween at school...

Hey LIZ...Thinking about you today on your all time favorite holiday!! Did you get all the decorations up? Hope you show us some of the scarey scenes!!
And lol, my teeth are rotting from that bowl of candy you put out, lol...

LOL, as you can see I'm trying to get caught up with posting to each of you...

Thank you everyone about my Skittles...Yesterday she was just content to snuggling up, but i think it was because she was scared of the Witching hat!

ok, got to go make DH lunch, be back again.

Hi everyone - just a quick posting as I'm at work. Thanks Judy for the congrats. True congrats will happen when this job becomes Permanent - I'm here with an agency right now.... and apparently cannot be perm for 3 months, then I would have to go on company's 3 month's probation. Apparently 6 months is more the norm than the 3 months. Not legislated or anything, just usual company practice.

everyone have a fun and safe halloween

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wish I was near you Liz, I remember all the neat decorations and settings you have and it would be such a treat to see them in person. I can well imagine just how much time it takes to do the set-up.

Judy you asked about my scarecrow, well he is 6' tall and in pine..all cut'painted and ready to put outside, problem being I don't have the strength to put him together as he's quite heavy..hanging my head in shame, didn't even put Ms. Noseworthy out..glad she is out at your house tonight! I do have the haunted tree decorated with decorations from Liz..always a treat to put out. Omg even have the giant size tote out on back deck, would guess that be 10pm all signs of fall and Halloween will be put away!

Judy love the work that was done at the house..I could so see a patio door and little deck to bind the 2 sides together..perfect place to have an early morning Timmies.

Love Breenie's photo..she's enjoying that new camera isn't she!l

Susan, that's a long time to stay out of mischief. Lol. You will be relieved once you hear the words 'you are hired'. Has Bob been getting any interviews??

Debbie, thinking of you, looking at the clock, you should just be ending your appointment and on the way to Paul's

Bev, how are things going your way! Do you get any trick or treaures where you are? And Scotty, how is he?

Was like Christmas today, came home and found some pretties...Thunder, got my 5" charms, also got your package Barb..love the charms and I can't wait to use the goat hair on a project...thanks big time.

Ohhh a few little goblins coming up the walkway!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - you outta know better - I CAN'T stay out of trouble lol

One of the fellas came to work with a Goblin mask lol So funny! I showed my pics around the office - they were impressed and thought Bob was awesome! :-)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Amazed, pretty well all of the 30 or so trick or treaures all wearing creative costumes made at home..so nice to see..teens come out much later..oh/oh. Had to slap my hand, for a few tricksters it was chocolate bar for them and one for me. Lol

I'm suremthey were impressed Susan! Bob is a big man and dressed as the grim reaper watch out Mr. spook

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Well, Bob's not a big man, really - only 170 lbs, but the 6'3" is the "looming" part LOL

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All !

Susan - sounds like you're fitting in "just right"... bummer about the 6 months but it will pass so quickly I just know it....
OMG Criss - LOVE that pic of you & Mr. Potato Head... You are just adorable...
Judy - I want a Japanese Maple ! Hubs said I couldn't have one until I find one that is doing well in our area. So you'll have to update me on what it wants/likes. Love your lunch crowd...a potato, a gorilla, etc. WHAT do you serve for lunch over there ? must be bananas... LOL... good idea on the "pass the " for the family meeting. Are there special rules? We used to try that but maybe the kids are old enough to try again....
OMG Judy - that doesn't look like the same house... "Before" and "After".... Looks like from a TV show... "Curb Appeal" or something.... re: Football day... well so far so good no repercussions... so must have been "approved" on how I handled the customers / day

Katie - so so sad for you missing your friend.... I know when I have a long drive like that it is good to sort things out in my mind a bit. Must have needed 600 miles a few weeks ago... I basically NEVER turned on the radio...just going through things in my mind the whole time... good time for solitude (is that the right word?)

Betty - I would love to see a pic of a "Rag Quilt" .... I always hear ya'll talk of them but never know what exactly that is. ((HUGS)) re: Master Gardener comment... once I pass up this "beginner" stage... that is actually something I would LOVE to try... if I had the time.....
LK - that pumpkin is incredible ! Love it... Yes - such a job getting plants sorted and didn't get a minute to do more today what with trick or treating...
Say a little prayer for me... if I am successful... I'll have plenty for you to take cuttings *when* you and Betty visit me.... Most of these Plants were on your "like" list....and probably work in your area....

Very few Trick-or-Treaters tonight... but did get a little visiting in with some and some neighbors....

((HUGS))

Goodmorning to all.
Coffee is on.
Little man running a fever so took him to the dr. yesterday and while at the dr. got a call from school DD2 sick.
Picked her up and got his meds. Trick or Treat was short.

Lexington Park, MD

Here is the door which I painted.
It is going to be a coat/ shoe storage unit.
Next I need to take a pic of where it is going to go.
There is a pillar in our front hall for deco only that needs to come out.
And looking for some sort of rustic looking hooks for the coats to hang on.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sorry guys, Kyle dropped in and had five calls checking in on me, now I'm plum ticketed out and ready for bed!

He cancelled most of his a pots, had to leave tonight on family business but saw his last 2 which included me.

He started by looking at the chart and said my blood was fine, yes iron is on high side but not dangerous and we'll keep an eye on it..danger is 1'000 of whatever and I'm only 600..could it cause all this pain? Unlikely but could, so no visible reason showing why..told him I would not take that for an answer, he said 'we'll Betty you just have to cope with it, you are not dying and that is the good news for all of this'. Oh yeh, not him who can't even lift her right arm to brush her hair, who can't function because of the pain, but as he says could be worse...my thing, and I told him this " I'm quite prepared to acknowledge I'm getting older and will have aches and pains but lordy it doesn't come on in every part of your body when you wake up one day

Told him to look at my chart, I've been his patient for 38 years, some years I don't see him more than a couple times, I usually put off as you all know making an appointment..he agreed, says he would like me to see a specialist dealing with arthritis/rheumatism..now tell me, what can they do to determine that's the problem??

You just got to love and know likely you have all gone through it where you are I'll and they say you are fine..but you know YOU ARE ILL!

Frustrating to say the least.

Now you all know me, never stop, so for me to come home, go to bed, feed myself painkillers just isn't my norm

So now I show him the lump under my foot, says it's a type of fibroid, large but I'm not in a lot of pain..says fibroids are not cancerous, just can be painful..not to do anything, having it taken out would create more problems than I want..

Said it was flu shot time, been about 20 years since I've had the needle, after the needle I was sick all season..talked me into having the shot today..

Then he went down memory lane, told me that when first came to him he didn't think I'd make it to 30 and look at me, healthy as can be

So that my dear friends was my doctors appointment.

Good news is, I'm healthy as can be. Lol

Past my bedtime, will chat with you tomorrow
