Hubby is off work for the next two weeks, so I pop in when I can! You know how that goes when hubbies are home!

No, I didn't fix his computer - was too tired to think at 1:15am after being asleep for 3 hours... then couldn't get back to sleep until 3am (and only after taking some Ibuprofen to induce sleep!).
I told him to call Brent - our computer guy - and he walked him through Safe Mode (which I've done before, but as I said - I was too tired to think!) Anyway - system up & running again after being restored to previous state from 1 month ago.

I'm tired, but don't have much to do at work (which is why I'm here) and so not required to think much.

On a sad note, again, I have to cancel my doctor's appt., as his father comes first.

you would think being homeless would be a wake up call for her ?? but ??? hummm no idea why she refuses to help herself. She is diagnosed as bipolar but honestly she milks it for what ever its worth and it gives her an excuse to be helpless.
if you help her ... its not enough in her mind. Then screws it up .
if you leave her alone she can't do anything for herself. Then she gets into real bad situations and finds anyone who will listen and take care of her .
So with that said . there is never a win win situation.

Kel's work week is this week. This morning, he had to bring his father to the doctor.. again... MIL didn't warn him. So, he'd have hardly any rest when he goes to work tonigt.

Tomorrow morning is my scheduled appt., he knew he'd be working tomorrow night, but MIL's shenanigan threw a wrench in his rest period.
I had told him to reschedule it for his week off, noooo.. he wouldn't listen.
This appt here would be the 3rd one cancelled on acct. of MIL's inconsiderate moves. I've warned him NOT to tell his mum of my appts. as she would deliberately set FIL's to coincide with mine. Did he listen?

Seriously, I'm better off dead.

Sorry, but I need a place to vent.
I am not able to make that drive to the doctor's, he knows that.
I don't have anyone here that can do that for me. Only friend will be working and there are no taxi service.

Sue that's very typical bipolar, I have an ex-boyfriend who was the same exact way. He was just angry all the time, but his mom would get knives and scissors and other miscellaneous objects to play the victim, if you don't help me then I'm just going to kill myself. In their minds they are the victim and all the personal counseling in the world will never help them, they need Lithium to make the chemical imbalance.. balance.

Your MIL and my Sister IL, who has decided that since Dad is back in the hospital he doesn't need to be alone, he must have someone there sitting beside him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, he's in for more testing and has a regular room and everything LOL!!!

well kids and i had a nice treat tonight.
We got to see bats flying around the house and its a full moon behind the tree's in our woods. Pretty cool fall treat. They were out catching bugs in the warm night air.
it was just still light enough to see them.
I know they hit our windows at times. so in the am each morning i check and make sure no dead or injured ones are laying around for Lucy to eat . yuk.

yuck indeed! I've only seen one bat, and that was a dead one, when I lived in Edmonton - was many many years ago!

We see a few bats here flying in the evening, and their sillhouttes are beautiful.

Sis Carolyn paid me an unexpected visit in the afternoon, bringing me a big bag of pecans and Japanese persimmons. I had given her a persimmon tree 4 years ago, and this year, only hers bore fruits. It was a strange year for our persimmons.
My American persimmon tree died, while the Japanese one didn't even produce. I know it's not the soil.

Kept my mind busy last night. Pieced a few 2 1/2 inch strips, and I was disappointed that this whole 'jelly roll' isn't cut uniform. Won't be wasted just have to rethink what I'd do with it without having to resize them individually. No wonder this roll was on sale :D

LK they are cut 'wavy'. Ranging from 2 1/2 down to 1 and 3/4. But they won't be wasted.
