۝Sweet Interruptions # 229۝

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You've truly made me happy by posting your pictures Susan!! Never thought I'd thank a vampire! Love that piglet.
World's oldest hippie eh? Would love to see his music collection if he had one. That generation has certainly great music :D

Didn't catch the score Marion. I'm sure NC got a whoopin.

Well, I did follow Pig Soowiee vs Vandy. What a game!!! Poor Vandy miss the field goal to tie the game.
Crissy, if you're reading this, I can't believe what Wade did. Wow.. 4 penalties.. deserved to be thrown off the field? I think so. I'm sure there are lots of Hogs that don't think Wade should do that.
Leave Auburn to do the bad stuffs, they're known for that.. not the Hogs.
Anyway, your QB surely took a beating too...brave dude!

Been trying to wean myself off FB. Don't think it's working.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am not sure of the score either Jaye. I got busy and actually let the time slip by so I missed watching it on TV. :-( Oh well, managed to accomplish some long put off things so I don't feel to bad about it.

Opened all the windows today but with the wind we are having and the temps on the low side, had to close up most of them. Felt good though.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I'm glad I made you happy with the pics, Jaye :-)
Doug has about 60 cassette tapes, and is converting them to a memory stick. It was ........ fun........ teaching him how to use a conversion software and computer parts......... well, maybe Fun isn't the right word...... ummmmmmm challenging - yeah, that's right - it's the Right Word LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Mor ing everyone. Coffee is ready. Crisp bacon and pancakes!

Looks like some of you on the Eastern shores got a bit of snow last night. Some more than a foot! Sure hope your all OK! And get your power back on soon!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

23" here LK. I can't ever remember having snow like this in Oct. It is so weird!!! Norm is out snowblowing a path to the birdfeeder!!!! The poor things can't find anything now to eat and it is soooo early for this. We decided to take a chance with the bear and feed the the birds anyway. ....I'm very grateful for a diligent plow man as he head us cleared by 6 AM. This is such a schock to all around here. Can you imagine all the kids who are supposed to go out for Halloween treats today? It is 34* with wind gusts to 35 mph or more!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That's way too much snow for this time of year! Stay warm please?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'll grab a cup, LK! Thanks for great coffee and bacon!! Bacon makes a cold day tolerable.

Poor you Barb. Is this a sign of a bad winter to come? I pray not!! I remember the pic you post last year and you had to hire a student to get rid of all that snow? Darn, we in the South only need generators in case of a hurricane.. and y'all need snow tires, snow blowers and that reliable snow plow man.. besides a generator.

Missing church today. Kel's too tired to make that drive and I think it will be home made vege soup today.

Bundle up sistahs!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Barb, glad to see your post after reading the paper this morning. Stay safe and warm.

In the 40s now but got into the upper 30s overnight. Love it for sleeping under a fluffy down comforter and my window opened part way. Yeap, I am nuts and the first to admit it.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh Barb - nasty weather! I hope it will be a short winter for you - 23" is really nasty! Got your woolies out?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Here you go ladies... This should make you all feel nice and warm!!! That three tiered thing is the bird feeder!!!! Norm snowblowed a path to it so we could clear it off. The birds were really grateful. Been swarming it ever since.

Wow look at that snow!! Isn't it pretty?? LOL That is what us people say that don't get snow!!! ^_^

So here we are Bikers Donald and Daisy Duck. We came home early because Doug got to hurting, But if we would of stayed for the judging of costumes we would have won. So many people were amazed that I made the costumes and said they would have voted for us. Was home by 10:30, in bed by 11:00, out like a light by 11:15. Guess we are just getting to old to party, lol.

Oy!!! Don't put the hex on me Barb!!!
I'm not ready for thermal underwear!! ROFL!!
That's so kind of you and Norm to think of the birds. I'm sure with weather like yours, the bear is supposed to be hibernating now.

Hmmm.. no argument there Marion ;) Aren't you exposing yourself to colds, by opening the windows?
You and Kel must be be the ones missing from the asylum ward! I had to leave the bedroom at 6 this morning, cause he turned the aircon on when he got home!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Love those costumes! You did a wonderful job on them.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Those costumes came out wonderful Cindy. Good job and I think you should have won anyway!!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Thanks Ladies ^_^

Oh goodness! Cindy, your post didn't show up when I posted mine!! So sorry.... I would have said something if I had seen it.
You both make a pair of pretty Quacks!!!! Yes, you should have won. Must be a lot of hours put into those beaks.

Sue, vava va voom, sistah!! Are you of legal age to be going out like that?? All you need is a tambourine! First thing that came to mind is that song "Gypsies, tramps and thieves.. "
Have fun at the party. You'll be getting wolf calls for sure!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Cindy - cute costumes! You make me think of making my own, next year!

Sue - you're a hottie, for sure! Were you giving out crystal ball readings? lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue, love that costume, but I really love the wood on your walls!

aawww shucks.
at the party no one recognized me LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Take that as a compliment Sue!! You're not in your regular mom mode, that's why. You've turned into "Who's that sexy goddess?"

Got terribly nauseated tonight. Must be too much acid in my stomach, and it's my fault. Didn't take any Protonix before eating. Any of you have acid reflux issues?

Will be gone most of the day tomorrow.. have a good day at work Susan and Cris.

Barb, hope you don't have to go anywhere in that snow.

See you all later tomorrow evening. Good night sistahs.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

Jaye, have a good day, what ever your doing. Hope a fabric store is on your list of things to do!.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

This is my Halloween pumpkin...

Thumbnail by taters55

LK that is a awesome pumpkin !!
Jaye hope your tum tum feels better soon. remember the jook :)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Afternoon sistahs!

LK, did you carve that?? That's certainly a masterpiece. First time I sculptured a pumpkin, it was truly a work of art... abstract art that is :D
No, didn't get to browse in a fabric store. Wish it wasn't too far away. But I did indulge in a quilt magazine at Books A Million. Kel was soooo happy that he had a good cup of iced coffee.. and that man doesn't drink regular coffee.

Sue, stomach is perfectly fine. Ate just veges for lunch at a Mongolian Grill. The chef was surprised all I had on the plate were soy bean sprouts, mushrooms, zucchinis and onions. Then I told him I wanted only butter, garlic and hot chillis, nothing else.
He must have never met a Chinese vegetarian!! Then here comes Kel behind me, plate loaded with all kinds of meat and NO veges, just noodles. Told the chef to be generous with the Teriyaki and soy sauce. That teriyaki sauce can be too sweet, Kel must have downed at least 4 huge glass of water!

Got back to dark clouds, and it's not 5 yet. Supposed to rain today. Hmm.. I hope Kel will be contented with popcorn for supper!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yes I carved the pumpkin Jaye. I used a jig saw blade that I made Todd put in a pair of vice grips for a handle. Made it so easy to carve!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's amazing LK!! Good job sistah!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good afternoon sistahs.

It's another round of temps warming up. The low 70s and supposedly to stay like this for the next 3 days,
My kitties could easily predict the weather. When it's gonna be cold the next day, they eat and sleep more.
But if the temps are tolerable, they get very frisky.

Kel was told last night to bring his dad to the doctor. There were errands Kel had to do this morning, but as usual....
When he got there, he found out that FIL's appt. was for tomorrow.
MIL didn't even blink an eye nor apologise.

So, can you say I've been unChristian again and use a bad adjective for MIL?
Lolol!!! Oh.. Halloween is over?

Barb, I hope your electricity service is not hampered by all that snow.

It's beef stew cooking on the stove. What's for dinner sisters?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I'm having stew with my Sis Jaye! What time will it be ready??? LOL!
Sorry to hear MIL is still at it! I don't blame you for using bad words!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Jaye, there is no time limit on "witching" season where witches are involved. Ouch! slapped myself for letting that come out of my mouth!!!

No stew here tonight but BALT sandwiches instead with a bowl of homemade soup I just took out of the freezer. Kim is working on another cake for this weekend so it needs to be short and simple tonight.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's ready now LK. I was thinking of adding some red wine to turn it up another notch, but then I think it's better I drink that wine tonight!! Lololol!!!

Thanks Marion. She doesn't even need a broom.. her own hot air will keep her afloat!!
Now I know what a BLT is, but tell me what is the "A" added?
I can never keep soups in the freezer. Always gone the same day.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You all think I'm obsess with LSU?
Look at these kids!!! They really "RIP"ped Houston!!

Thumbnail by heavenscape
(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh I sure didn't want to offend you Jaye, but .........................

Okay, our BALT "sammie" as Kim refers to them are : bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato. Weird but very good. When I make soup, I make soup. I have a large stock pot that Ross' uncle gave me when they closed their restaurant in Hollywood, FL and it is usually full. Later, I have soup in the freezer when we are in a hurry or just plain lazy.

Love the picture. You had better do some talking to your boy Tebow!! Didn't do so good..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Good Afternoon y'all!!

Jaye that is EXACTLY what Dave's older sister does, but tries to do it from CA and needless to say it doesn't work.

OMG I LOVE it!!! Houston Nutt was a coach for Arkansas for years and he couldn't get that team past the Cotton Bowl. Patrino is much much better and glad they're stuck with Houston. I can't stand him, he puts the I in Idiot, in my opinion.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Imagine.. Crissy showed up for Houston Nutt!!! Lol.
I agree with you Crissy. It's time for that Nutt to retire, but he got a habit of NOT firing his inept assistants.

Lol Marion!! Not making excuses for Tebow, but Bronco's O Line is a joke. Tebow would make a good TE though.
Those Gators certainly got Muschamp's job in hot water!! I thought for sure he'd be heading for the Seminoles last year. Glad it's just a rumor!

I really need to look for a BIG stew pot, Marion. Makes life much easier with pre-cooked meals.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I was just lucky enough to inherit a very large one used in the restaurant. I absolutely think it is among the best things I have ever been given---can't even imagine how much chili, stew, soup and beans have been cooked in that pot!!!

Nope never any doubt here as to who was going to be head coach at FSU. I actually feel sorry for the Gator's coach--their fans can be so rough on a coach. If I hadn't lived there for 35 years and could see/hear what they would do, I wouldn't have believed it. You are suppose to come in brand new and give them a National Title. Life just doesn't always do that for you.

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

my youngest son has a friend going to pastry / confections ?? school. she made us a wonderful Halloween cake

Thumbnail by barefootT
TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

She made a beautiful cake, Thunder. Let me guess.. chocolate flavor? Don't think I want that rat on my piece!

Marion, at least you're smart enough to know that stew pot will come handy one day and found room for it.

Remember those old time high beds that you need steps to climb into? Well, my late mum would store all her monstrous pots under grandma's bed!! Yup, no room for us kids to play under it!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Love that cake Thunder!
