Well, feeling better today! I didn't realize I was getting run down until Bob suggested I start taking my iron again (no, not the hot iron lol) and I got some super strength last night and took one then, and one this am, with lots of orange juice as it helps digest the iron.

Lol, what do you mean remember those old time high beds? I have a small step stool to get into my bed--it is that high but I love it.

Ah Sue, the "sammie" were delicious!! The avocado was at it perfect ripeness. We like the little Haas one better than the larger avocados--better flavor but that is just mine and Kim's opinion.

Off to to the shower and bed early. I am really tired tonight.

Seems the higher the bed the more comfortable it is.

I'm tired too........ still need more iron in my system. Was wondering why I was so dragged..... now I know. Iron supplements are helping some, but it's early days yet.

I love liver - should have some.
f'some reason my tummy is "sour" (ie: always burping and it tastes sour).
I don't think it's the iron, cuz I'm taking lots of low acid orange juice and oranges, as the pharmacist said. This started about 4 days ago and I only started the iron last night.

When my mother said this to me, I told her she can always send me to the girls' home and let me 'miss' the 'wonderful' days!" Of course that didn't work.

On a sad note..my dad was very abusive, only with me. When I asked her why, her reply would be that I'd understand when I had kids. Well, when I returned home for a visit, was married to ex.. I told her that even though I don't have any kids, I still don't understand why she allowed her husband to hit her kid, everyday. But I did say that I learnt a lot from the abuse. Never let any man raise his hand on your child. You may have 10 husbands but your kids are your flesh and blood to protect.

Marion, I love those smaller avocadoes! The only healthy sandwich Kel would fix are avocado, refried beans, sour cream on a corn tortilla!!!

Susan, ever since I've been taking molasses with my coffee, I'm not tired all the time. Just lazy!!!

It is soup for lunch today.. or more like a posole'. It has hominy and veges with very thinly sliced meat.

Ok.. ok.. I admit.. I'm a football junkie. Only with college football.
I'll give you a brief history how I came to this.

When I was working at the mill, I was the only woman in a group of 17 engineers and all male technicians. Not because their conversations during breaks were on football or getting wasted.. but my boss at that time in meetings love to bring up football. And use the football jargons in his lectures.
I learnt fast, that if I had to stay abreast of the meetings, I better start watching.
Ex wasn't into football, but was amused to watch me cheering the Miami Hurricanes :D
Did it help my career? Maybe.

layed black plastic in the walk ways on veg garden for weed barrier. about 200' long of plastic
moved 100 or so plants for winter protection
made some list and inventory of plants
made phone calls
made a new path wit some gravel and stones in back porch area, so dog won't tread mud in .
tomorrow is house and GH cleaning. LOL

garbage guys didn't pick up today grrrrr. apparently i missed them ! ? they came before 7;30 am . The last 12 months they have come between 9-11 am, so why so early today grrrrrr.... so they said i should use cans.... ever try and hoist a garbage can into a bed of a 1 ton truck hmmmm have you ??? well i can tell you its not easy LOL . also ever try and catch a can 1 mile down the road, when its snowing and blowing outside ? again not easy ( i m not 22 anymore ) and then i told her our driveway is 1/4 mile so i can't wheel it out ... that is why i use the bags. so its such a no win situation.
don't they know i m a princess and i don't do trash ??? ! ?? :)

Lolol. Garbage day around here aren't reliable neither.
Sometimes the pick ups would be early on Friday mornings, sometimes it would be late that evenin, and if holiday falls on a Friday, the truck would make it's rounds either on a Thursday or Monday morning!
Since the town imposed mandatory garbage fees whether you use it or not, (even though the truck doesn't come down the dirt road) Kel does trash duty.
The town do provide commercial cans with metal stands and if Kel doesn't bring them in after emptied, hooligans will try to steal them.

Sue, I don't care for vege stock either. Prefer chicken or clam for vege soup.

veg stock just doesn't have the body that a meat stock does.
