It's dinner time, whats cooking?

Thomaston, CT

Great! Am meeting a friend at Bertucci's for lunch....feels like a pizza day to me.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Do they still charge for refills??

Thomaston, CT

Don't know....never have refills....usually I ask for iced tea & water.....that's more than enough liquid for my bladder! But....I didn't like the sauce on the pizza today...it didn't seem to be cooked enough....brought most of it home, & I'll gussy it up in my oven......

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Went there once and wondered why the bill was astronomical...ya think they wouldn't just keep filling your glass

Thomaston, CT

They should....but the place was packed today, so I guess it's not hurting their business....

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Believe it or not, we went to Carrabba's for dinner again tonight. We have a floor refinishing project underway in our kitchen and it is hard for me to cook there. My eldest son and wonderful wife tried their pizza and it was very good. Brought a pizza home for our youngest son. I had Pasta Carrabba, which was fetucinni alfredo with grilled chicken, mushrooms and peas. All very good, but got our fill for now and I will try and cook tomorrow.

Thomaston, CT

Sounds yummy, Dave! I think it's pasta salad for tonight....

Westbrook, CT(Zone 6a)

DW made squash soup from the NYTimes soup article (published March 3?). Delish, but a shame to cut up those pretty carnival acorn squash.

Thomaston, CT

I've had butternut squash soup, but never with acorn....hope it was delish.....

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Leftover Carrabba's pizza about 4:00, and chips and dips about an hour ago. Easy and delicious, but not very healthy.

Thomaston, CT

Had lunch at The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge MA today.....expensive, but very good....I had a cheddar-ale soup, & half a turkey sandwich....real, thick cut turkey....served with a salad & sweet potato chips....for dessert, warm brown sugar cake with coffee ice cream, marscapone cheese with coffee beans on top, all on a bed of caramel....OK so I won't eat until tomorrow!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sounds delish!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thomaston, CT

Still full from yesterday, but I will have left over chicken for tonight.....

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

burgers tonight. I have toms from the garden to put on them.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I haven't been posting because i don't want to talk about food. :(
I'm hankering for a salad, steak and some ribs!! I don't care if I never have pudding, jello, or a milkshake EVER AGAIN!!!
OK, I feel better now, still hungry but at least I vented. ^_^
It's not that I haven't been cooking...I have. I've made:

Chicken & Rice Soup (I could eat this)
Baked Beans & Brown Bread _(I could eat this too)
Beef Stew w/barley and homemade bread
American Chop Suey
Roast Pork w/brown gravy, mashed potatoes, fresh broccolli, applesauce, and yeast rolls.

One night I made the "boys" T-Bones, baked taters and pea's. I could eat everything but the steak so I cooked up a piece of haddock for myself. It was good, but when staring at a T-Bone...not as good as usual. :(

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

in our house.. when my mom suffered... we all suffered

:)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

LOL! At my house too. Mom was on a diet...we ALL were!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Our kitchen has still not been usable, but that will end later today when it gets put back together. We went to Wendy's yesterday for burgers, fries and Frosties and this morning we went out for a Greek Souvlaki breakfast after church. Starting tomorrow I will have to start cooking meals again. I am actually looking forward to that - for the most part. ☺

Thomaston, CT

It's fun to eat out, but it does get tiring after awhile....you'll enjoy your kitchen again! Had a Greek stand at the dog show, so had a gyro sandwich for lunch....

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

Well, I cooked today at home in my kitchen. Made Rotini pasta with sauteed onions, mushroom and imitation crab meat in a good jarred Alfredo sauce. Pork chops were the main protein. It was very good.

argh argh and argh. Leftovers.

Shrimp casserole to start.

Thomaston, CT

My friend Carole made wiener schnitzel & potato pancakes......a blueberry bundt cake (berries from Old Barn Farm!), and a key lime pie.....there was also a zucchini casserole, & I brought a salad....wonderful seeing my friends from FL....

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Yesterday after we got my dad settled back in his apartment, we went to Tony Pepperoni Pizza Buffet. They are a national chain that is fairly new in this area. Fantastic salad bar, different pizzas, chicken fingers, puddings, dessert pizza, soup, meatballs and pasta with sauces for only $6.25. An unlimited drink is only $1.49. It was an excellent value and everything was delicious.

Thomaston, CT

Wow...cheap enough.....I paid that for 1/2 sandwich & soup yesterday......

Amherst, NY(Zone 6a)

I made chicken a la king tonight with biscuits. Sugar-free (used Truvia) triple berry crisp with no sugar added/low fat ice cream. Everyone enjoyed the meal. ☺

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

toasted pork, tomato and avocado wraps
