Unfortunately, the zucchini slaw was terrible. Don't know what I did wrong, but I won't try that again for awhile. Maybe regular mayo instead of the ranch and raspberry vinaigrette would be better.
It's dinner time, whats cooking?
oh no!
maybe leave out the ranch
I make a salad of finely chopped zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers, & onion.....use mint for the herb, & olive oil & red wine vinegar for the dressing.....
I just put a tuna noodle casserole with cracker crumb topping in the oven. Don't think I can mess that up too bad. ☺
I love tuna casserole but hubby doesn't :(
Hubby , DS, DSIL #1 & #3 are all going on a hunting trip tomorrow so i've been baking most of today.
So far i've got:
2 loafs of yeast bread
A dozen blueberry muffins
12 mini loaves of pumpkin bread
8x8 pan of honey corn bread
Pot of Chili
Pot of beef stew
13x9 pan of brownies
Big bowl of pasta salad
WOW
OMG, Pixie...that should fill them up....hope they get a deer or two.....I had beef stew & noodles today....
Do they need an assistant to 'protect' the rations?!!
If I go hunting, will you cook for me?
I like tuna noodle casserole, also Jen, but DH doesn't.
I tried making beef/broccoli stir fry tonight. I think I'll do it again sometime.
LOL You guys are too funny!!
No Victor but im sure they'd let you go. :)
Yes Jan...I would!
Thanks Robin!
Chili cook off at church tonight so it's in the crock pot as I type
I'm planning to make SOS soon. Anyone with military experience or family that were in the military should know what that is. I've never made it, but will give it a try and make my own version.
My late husband, former Marine, had nightmares of that dish....he was a school principal, & when they served it in the cafe, no one ate it!
LOL. I spiced the SOS up a bit with sauteed dices onions, garlic and steak seasoning. Turned out pretty good. ☺
baked chicken with cajun spice, rice and mixed veggies
pizza night!!
Justin & I had grilled chicken, mashed taters w/gravy and coleslaw.
going out for wings tonight. it's all you can eat with the price of a drink.
I'm going to put a pork tenderloin in the oven soon, then put corn on the cob in about 30 minutes before the pork is done.
Celebrated 3 family birthdays here today....made 3 baking dishes of 4 varieties of stuffed shells, my sister brought an antipasto, & my cousin brought an ice cream cake....I'm exhausted....
OK, not sure what is going on with the graphics. I give up. Have a great day!
Was at a baby shower for my nephew's wife niece and her twin sister...they are due only weeks apart....just too cute! Lots of food but could only eat some of it, too much things with gluten :(
leftover chili(there's a food that tastes better the longer it sits) for dinner
strange Dave... no pic but the text to enlarge is there
Cute little guy!
Got to hold him!!!
What a nice thing to do, Jen.....
Beautiful child jen and perfect timing I guess. How does that saying go?
"ONE SOUL LEAVES THIS EARTH AND ANOTHER ONE COMES IN."
I hope he touches as many lives as A.J. did in his short time here.
very cute Jen
made Mexican, both chicken and shredded beef quesadillas, homemade salsa with toms and jalepenos from the garden with a dallop of greek yogurt in the center, black beans and rice
I like it when it looks pretty on the plate too
Yum!
Double yum!
Cute baby.
Debi_k, that Mexican sounds very good.
I made a "left-overs omelet" for lunch today. Sauteed diced onions and green pepper, added corn kernels cut off 3 cobs, a little chopped-up left-over pork roast, a little left-over mac & cheese, the meat from about 6 left-over bbq riblets, about 2 cups of left-over SOS, garlic powder, 6 eggs and 3 slices American cheese. Sounds awful, I know, but it actually tasted pretty good. ☺
triple yum!!
interesting combo Dave!
meatloaf, rice and corn. Ate late as I had people over for dress fittings.
Is that called everything but the kitchen sink omelet Dave? lol I am making spaghetti with meat sauce tonight. Haven't been feeling up to cooking lately. This is when I Wish my man did some cooking once in a while....
Jen your friends baby is adorable! That is so nice of you to cook for her. I remember my aunt came over and made us Tacos for dinner and a lasagna for the next night, one night after I had my first. I will never forget how nice of her that was! It tasted extra good to me too! Probably because I didn't have to prepare it!
