Went over to visit a friend and he had the best baked ribs I ever tasted. so good they fell off the bone. Beef, I usually like pork better but this was absolutely heavenly. George did a great job. He and Miss Alice always so nice.
So glad things are looking up Jaye.

You bad girl, Charleen!! Why must you mention beef??
That's my favorite bbq!!! I couldn't do that here as the beef ribs available at the grocery stores are not meaty enough.
I presume they are your neighbours? That's certainly so nice of them.
It was Kel's second Memorial Day off too. First was when we took off to be at BJ's.
He thoroughly enjoy the idea of having regular pay plus essential benefits, including eye care!!
gonna rest by my pool today. gonna be triple digits tomorrow
You ladies that are having all that heat...................send it this way, please. We are getting rain tonight, thunder storms tomorrow, nice Thurs & Fri, but RAIN over the weekend. We are suppose to go to BON Party USA and it is in the wine country and close to the coast. It is to be in the high 60's with 40% chance of rain Sat & Sun, GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! And not only that but someone had to be nasty and called the Sonorma County sherrif's and told them that we were having this party. Now we can not have a live band or camp on the gal's very own private property, uuurrrrrrrr. The person that snitched is going to get his/her arse kicked big time.
Synda thanks for the links. duh Why didn't I think to look up green houses
Cindy, if the party is on private party, I don' t see how they can say she can't have a band or camp out?
Some folks just like to gripe.
Charleen that is so pretty! How long did it take to bloom?
Wow Charleen, I like the mint green color in a lily. Got to look it up. Never seen one before.
I agree with LK. If it's private property, why must there be complains?
Gladly sending heat your way Cindy.
Cindy, you can have our heat too! I'll trade you for some of that rain...
Cindy, hope you get that greenhouse. Doug building it for you?
I planted the seed last summer and they lay there til this spring. when I started watewring the brugs, they started growing. this is first bloom I grew from seed. It is a pretty color, isn't it. I have some more coming up, I hope they are different colors. Thanks you all...
Wow! it matured fast from a seed!.
Hey Deborah!!!! Had some fun yesterday, sistah???
I was thinking maybe this year would be the Dawgs' turn for that SEC title!!
Charleen, when you say seeds, you mean those black bulbits along the stalks?
If that is so, I better start picking them up!!
Ga struggles these past few years :(
Gone to pay our taxes. bbl
Well, the time has come for either Ga or LSU to take that rein again.
I hate to say this... but 'Bama might trounce us.
Don't you hate it when you see Sis Kathy's smug look!!!
As for ehem.. you know last year's winner.. the qb was the reason they won. The poor kid may suffer the same fate of Reggie Bush.
No, these were little flat paper like seeds. But they made lilies.....
Hello Deb,
I'm not building a green house....just a small sun screen thing to put over my "herb" garden, lol.
lol
Charleen love the picture of the green lily!! Fantastic indeed.
Ah Kathy, back to normal with you posting pictures of a beautiful flower. I remember so well the first year I was on this thread and all the lovely pictures you posted. Hopefully I will be able to do so soon. I have managed to get a lot of work done since coming home. Now I worry about the plants when I return back to my sisters again. I have been putting timer systems on the areas I really worry about....my hydrangeas!!! Thankfully one of my neighbors waters regularly and that includes my side yard. Perfectly fine with me as he can pay the water bill.
Went with Kim to her doctors appointment today. Must say I am so proud of her and the way she has been managing her diabetes. Weight is continuing to come off and it appears now I will once again be put into service making her clothes for work next year. That makes me really happy.
Stay cool and safe everyone.
So glad to hear Kim has her diabetes under control. You will be tickled, I know, to be at your sewing machine on a regular basis.
Marion, something just came back to my memory. Do you still call your sewing room the dungeon?
Yes I do call it the dungeon. I doubt that will ever change as it was an affectionate name we gave it when we bought the house. It was so dark in that area we just sort of fell into the name. Kim has found a sign (which I need to put up) that says" This way to the Dungeon"....perfect.
Did I ever have a great day yesterday!!! After going with Kim to her doctors appointment (got lots of reading done thanks to my Nook) we came by Tallahassee Nurseries. I was looking for some "spiller" plants to finish some containers but instead I found 2 coral bells I have been trying to buy for a couple of years......Quilters Joy. No spillers but oh did I buy the coral bells in a flash!!!!
Going to have my eye rechecked this morning and guess where I will be later this afternoon. Lovein' it.
Have a great day everyone.
