Wow Charleen, can moisture crystals be found at WM or Lowe's?

I have some of those bands but totally forgot to use one. Dumb me! Yes we are in the mid to upper 90s and inspite of so much shade it is just to much working outside after about 10:30. LOL Oh how I wish I were finished outside. Having been gone so much since last August, things are in dire need of cleaning and bringing back into some semblance of beds. Kim is not a yard person at all.

Lowes is where I got mine. I've not looked a WM but they probably have them. It doestn't take much to make them. You make a tube about 14'' long and sew up one end, after you find the middle. Fold seam to middle of scarf. measure 7'' out from there. Seems like it took me forever to figure out how to do it. After the first the rest of easy. 4'' wide by 42'' long.

My yard cleaning is still unfinished. As long as I can clearly see some recognizable traits of the cultivated plants, I'm happy!
Poor Kel is still unable to help me.
This year is the first time I'm able to fill the wheel barrow with 50 pound bags of potting soil, and walk without a cane!!
Guess it's mind over matter. Perhaps I am not as depress as I used to be.
But I know, it's the Lord that's carrying me!!

Jaye, if we all lived closer together we would all be helping each other. Just having everyone here in spirit helps a great deal.

Just got a call from my sister that Mom has a really bad UTI and they are giving her injections twice daily. She seems to be okay but it is a nasty one according to the RN on duty. Just when we think she is ahead 3 steps, she falls back 2. I guess that is the way it will be. I am hoping to be able to go down soon but my doctor has already told me I am not to go and stay months like I have been doing. Sue isn't going in daily anymore either as it is taking it's toil on her also. We love Mom dearly but if we both get down then we are in trouble.

I am so happy to hear you are able to push the wheelbarrow and with out the cane. Hang in there sweet one, we need you.

Sending prayers for your Mom Marion! UTI's can be healed with meds. I know they can be quite painful, but she is in a good pleace for them to treat her.
Did you ever press charges against the aids that gouged her when placing her in the wheel chair? Did they heal up OK?

At least she's accepting help from strangers and don't hang that noose of guilt around both your necks.. like one mother does :(

just talked with my mum
she told me her dear friend house was broken into ... all they took were pain meds ! wow. So she and the police think it was an inside job from the pharmacy she goes too. Uhg... poor thing. Her Dh is in such bad health. They are in their 70's
my auntie died today. so i m sad. i knew i should have driven down and sat with her.... but by the time i could get there she was gone. I m heart sick about her dying wtih only strangers.... i hope at least someone held her hand... ?
the clincher is they ( the care facility she was in ) wanted her on life support ??? !!!!!! ummmm 92 yrs old and was so incognitive . why . i will tell you. so they can milk more money out of her that is why... good thing Al my FIL was there to tell them "NO" she has a DNR
imagine taking advantage of people like that. grrrr. gets my gizzard it does.
so i m just quiet tonight with bible in hand reading to her in spriit.

Sue, I am so sorry to learn of your aunt passing. But she led a very long life, and you're right, what's the point of life support when it's not quality life.
The best gift you could give to her is a reading from the bible.

LK, no we didn't press charges but my sister did file a complaint that got all the "higher" ups attention. Things have been better to so degree.

Oh Jaye, I wish I could truly say Mom doesn't do the quilt trip but alas she does. When people ask why I haven't been back she tells them I don't love her. My sister hasn't told her everything that I have had going on since leaving there. As a matter of fact, I have not told everyone all the things I have had done but will suffice to say all the test came back clear. Enough said is to say thank goodness all the test have been done and reports were all good news. All those winds was actually me and my family sighing a sigh of relief!!!!!!

Boy what crazy weather we are having. Poured rain all morning yesterday, then 4 tornados touched down about an hour drive from here, going to be in the low 70's for the Memorial weekend.

I checked the size of the new priority flat rate box, they call it the board game box, it measures 23 11/16" x 11 3/4"x 3" for $14.95 can get alot of stuff in it.

Don't know what Doug has planned for tomorrow but I guess I will find out when the time gets here.

WHEW!! What a work today. Did half an hour at Curves, then took Harlee for walk around the lake. I had been wanting to walk around the whole lake well...............I did it this morning 1 1/4 mile is how long it is around the lake. As I was walking around came upon a man crying. He says to be be careful walking around here, I said "Why" He says "My girlfriend died here last night" OMG!!! I felt so sorry for him, told him I was sorry for his lost and asked if he was ok and if there was anything I could do for him. He said "No, just be careful"
So when I got home I brought up the paper online. It seems she was by herself and was walking around slipped hit her head just above her right eye. Some young boys were fishing and saw something black floating in the water so they tossed their fishing line out to hook "it" reeled it in. They did not know it was a woman until they got her all the way in and turned her body over. Poor boys were shocked. This place is pretty populated so it is really strange that no one saw her fall in.

OMG Cindy!!! That's scary but if no one happened to be looking in that direction at that exact time no one would have seen it. Tornadoes in CA!!!!! That's scary!!!

Hope everyone is making out ok throughout these storms, my dad in Joplin is ok, mom in Newcastle, OK is ok, and thankfully by the time the storms got here they had fizzled to just a regular thunderstorm. We didn't get anything at the house yesterday but it got a little hairy here in downtown Little Rock, had 2 tornadoes but one went west and the other went east. Lots of prayers going out to all of the tornado victims, not just with this storm, but this whole nasty spring!!

Thank you for birthday greetings. Doug said to me yesterday "Come on we are going bar hopping" I said "No not today let's wait until tomorrow. He said No tomorrow we are going out to dinner" Hmmmmm......but then when we get to the bar one of his buddies said something to him and he put is finger to his lips and shhhh. So he has something planned that involves more than dinner ^_^

But anyways I had fun yesterday, only had 4 drinks.

We had rain last night and maybe this afternoon, I hope so. I could just hear my flowers heave a sigh of relief....

knock knock. Can I come back? I've been having a good time being a full time grandma (Nana, Nanny, whatever Riley and Halley decide to call me). My youngest son is back in college. He says not everyone is cut out for college but he will persevere to the end no matter how long it takes. In August he just needs to get past Biology and then should get he's associates degree. He's taking two education classes this semester which should be easy for him. Fingers crossed. Yall pray for him please.
