2007' lower end vehicle I guess....know the running light go off when you turn off the vehicle but If you turn it on manually then yes, if you forget you are in trouble!! Of corse the buzzing should have been my 1st clue.
Waiting for 7:30 for library to ope..they have our season burning permits available for those who can't make mu icipal office hours..free, just have to have one when burning... If I'm a good girl I'll do groceries at same time and have that behind me..
Oh Thunder, I can't imagine what you are feeling, seeing him with his family and what a precious photo..sure wish there would be no reason for him to return..pass on a hug to him that thank him for his efforts in keeping both your and my country safe!!
Imagine he's at his home, will you be traveling to see him or will he come visit you..know it is difficult with such little time he has..just knowing he's out of harms way must be enough for you!!
So nice outside, almost tempted to do a few things but had not do s because they are on my ,mothers day to do' list
Awe Thunder, so glad to see he is home and collecting those precious hugs!
Bev, that iris is so pretty. How are you doing today? And Scotty?
Gorgeous Bev! Few more days and you'll hear from Joe...be you are anxious..has the weather been nice enough for you to be out in your gardens..
Was just looking at the sales flyers, so many have hanging baskets, perennials/shrubs for sale because of mothers day..best stay away! Lol

I got an email from home depot today. They have a coupon for roses, buy 2 get one free! Guess where I am going tomorrow?
LindaKay the are tempting us with their offers...quite a few different shrubs being advertised here at inexpensive prices..
Taller purple plant Wood Hyacinth? http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/763/
Thunder, You must be over the moon having your Soldier boy home.
So I spent more money at work today than I made. LOL I have been really good about not bringing home plants but the succulents came in yesterday and I just couldn't help myself. I have a couple of really big blue strawberry jars to fill.
Now you knew that was going to happen Holly!! As long as you aren't buying with next weeks paycheck. Lol. Very well could be what my plant is..will as the girls
Got my burning permit and already have a fire going ..says you can't burn if winds are over 20kl per hour..now tell me, how am I suppose to know that..looked at tree limbs, not moving so guess I am safe
Did some groceries, the just brought in hanging baskets but to me they are not worth the $12'98 they are asking
Best I go have my bath..smell like a b.b.q. betty!
I will post pictures when I plant my jars. It will be a couple of weeks as the succulents I got today aren't hardy so unless I want to drag big heavy pots in and out I will wait another week to plant them.
A few years ago I met Debbie at cracker barrel and bough a birdbath which has abbot 6 openings similar to the strawberry jars..tried quite a few plants but none seemed to survive..think hens/chicks didn't even do the trick..look forward to seeing yours
Would love to go to bed but no can do until the fire in the firepit is out!
Sitting here thinking of Shirley and Ann...
Hello To All !

Mother's Day weekend ahead..do you all have plans ??
Mary, nay on the beer seeing I've never even had a sip in my 63 years so not a time to start lol...only thing I know about hops is how quickly it grows and makes a wonderful arbor cover..moved too slowly yesterday morning but hoping I can check this morning for a few
Between tornado/flooding and fires you all have quite a time of it waiting for Frankie Flowers to give the weather, right now it's on the chilly side.hoping sunshine weekend in store for us.
Susan, how do you keep all that info. In that brain of yours..head must hurt..lol. Noshing of course..you've been quiet lately, must be busy at work?
Ooops Frankie says umbrella day today, early morning tomorrow and sunshine day Sunday..pooh trend, gas down 3cents..might lower in months ahead...we can only hope right?
Morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee and sweets Betty.
Hope you all have a wonderful week-end.
If I don't get back on here over the next two days I want to wish every one of you a wonderful weekend and for the mothers amongst us - A Happy Mother's Day!!!
No special plans yet but my daughter and son-in-law get home late tonight. I have a class at the quilt shop tomorrow - learning another way to make a mariner's compass. And then Mother's Day. Got a wonderful triple picture in the mail from my family in Colorado of the girls and their Dad taken the night of the Father/Daughter dance. I'll post after Norm gets it hung. I was thrilled.....
Not much time today as I want to get laundry done so everything is clean when Stacy gets home. After being in her shoes this week, I'm amazed at all she gets done. I was only responsible for Sean - getting him to school and his varous activities and seeing that Brandon got to the farm when he needed to be there. She does this all the time plus holds down a full time job plus takes two night courses at the technical college as well two nights a week. She could teach me a lot about organization and teamwork that's for sure!!! She is lucky in that her hubby is absolutely wonderful about sharing the duties. He is a wonderful Dad.....
Off to get that laundry going back at her house. Sending my love and hugs to all...
Have a wonderful week-end Barb! You have a great Mothers day!
Light rain, hoping Mother nature gets it out of her system and today will be the end of it until weekend is over..
Can't believe all I've accomplished and it's not even 9:30 yet..
Left early, dropped off at Bernie's my brother..his wife Charlene was opening a bakery this morning..wow, can she cook..of course they had samplers out and guess who they forced to taste them all..got my hand up!!
Then off to the bank, needed some USA funds and from there off to WalMart and purchased my golden hops..
Now I'm sitting here in the office, paints out, playing with stroke work on envelopes and recycling pages from printer and photo copy machine..so long since I just dabled with acrylics..
This week all has gone in my favor, can I hope that Paul calls and says leave at 1:00pm..no can do, Toronto office has appointments right until 3:00pm so wouldn't be fare..
Suzanne is not here as yet, having another session for her back..lordy, sure hoping that it's healed shortly..2 weeks from today we'll be almost in Cincinnati at this time if all goes according the hoyle..you know me, have more fun planning and anticipating than anything else.
LindaKay, how are you feeling today
Barb, look forward to seeing the photo...don't know how some mothers do it..I've always worked, sometimes 2 jobs, kept clean house and made sure the kids were always entertained by taking them to functions and now that I think about it, I have NO clue as to how I kept it together, especially with Roger working on the road.. must have had an angel by my side..
Each and every day I get an e-mail from Joel Olsteen..today's was special so thought I'd post..
Time is the most valuable commodity that we have in life. It’s more valuable than money. You can make more money, but you can’t make more time. When you woke up this morning, God gave you a present called “today.” And with that gift comes a responsibility. The Scripture tells us to redeem the time, to make the most of every opportunity. That simply means don’t let it go to waste. Don’t live this day unfocused, unhappy, negative or defeated. Make the most of every day. God has entrusted you with His life. He has breathed His very breath into you. He has put gifts and talents on the inside of you. You have seeds of greatness deposited in you. You’re a person of destiny, and you have an assignment and a purpose to fulfill!
I encourage you today to evaluate how you are spending your time. Refocus your life. Let go of any distractions. Shake off any self-pity, any discouragement, any disappointments of the past and run your race with purpose. Be careful how you live and redeem the time so that you can fulfill the destiny He has prepared for you.
Good Morning!!!!
It's going to be 74* today! WooHooooo!!!
LOL Susan, not to be confused with....
Thunder YAY Soldier's home! WooHoooooo!!
I have pics to download!! BBL
Doing good today, still swollen, and sore finger, but I just may have to learn to live with it! I had an appointment with the specialist, but they called, and said I can't come to see them until my Dr, fax's over all medical records and X-rays. So I have to wait for that to be done.
Betty, please show us your painting? Would love to see the stationary, if it is not a swap secret?
The weather is beautiful here today! Only 68 right now, and supposed to be 86! Not bad...
Morning... had a great night of sleep !!! Very nice thoughts for today Betty...thanks for sharing. I always liked the expression.."today is a gift"
Susan , not to worry, I get confused too...I don't know how some of you keep up with all the posts and are able to comment on every one???? I have to read through two or three times, and when I want to make comments...I am scrolling up and down like crazy......
gonna get the binding on my "kyle" quilt today ^_^ woooohooooo !!!! just a few more lines to quilt, then it is binding time !!
Y'all have a great day !!
Crashed with a severe headache last night - finally took some morphine and another strong med. Woke with headache still there but slightly better so will retake meds and crash again. Just hoping I can sleep this doozie of a headache through.
Talk later. Enjoy what we have of the sun today everybody!
Dianne
Dianne, so sorry to hear your headache is so bad! Praying you wake up painfree!
Thunder, it is hard to post on everything. Lots of times, I read all the psot, and by the time I am done posting, I forget half of what I read.
I think Judy opens up a word document, and types all her answers as she reads, then copies and paste her answers.
It is hard to post on everything, I read someone's post, scroll down to comment, scroll back up and lose my place, finally find it, read the next and so on, that's the only way I can remember everything I've read and sometimes I just don't have time to do that.
Dianne I hope you crack that headache! That's miserable!
LK it shouldn't take the drs office very long to get that stuff to the other dr, a day is all it takes my mom and after 50 someodd drs in the past 2 1/2 years she's had to transfer a lot of medical records. In fact, if you request that stuff they have to give it to you because it is yours, I've even gone that route, go to the dr who needs to give it up and tell them that you want your medical records and x-rays and MRI's, they'll make you sign a wavier that you've taken them, then drive it to the other dr and give it to them. Takes the worry out of when are they going to get to it. Keep your appt for the 13th and if they don't have it done by next Tuesday I'd be yelling, don't u think for 2 seconds that you have to live with that pain and swelling. OK! I feel better now that I'm off my soapbox about that issue, drs offices tick me off, can ya tell??? LOL
LindaKay, Call your Dr's office and remind them that your specialist needs those faxed over and can they please do it today or tomorrow.
Dianne, Hope you will be feeling better soon.
Worked this morning it is beautiful outside and after a small rest an something for my knee I will be heading outside to work. It is beautiful out there today.
Betty, Love your sentiments. Funny I was thinking about that topic today. A few women at work were complaining, not that they don't have issues but they are very small when you look at some of the things my friends have gone thru lately. I was thinking if I asked any of them if their husbands had died lately or if they were dying of cancer, or maybe recently lost both breasts and spent the last 6 months on cemo, or have been diagnosed with a serious illness. How do you think they would have reacted?
Forgot we leave at 3:00 and here I didn't take my lunch, must mean the sweets I ate at the bakery opening filled me up!! oops didn't I talk about 'diet'
Better not forget to pick up my order of meat pies and fresh bread on my way home....
Cleaned my desk, watching movies and finished 24 envelopes and stationary..most addressed for swap blocks..ahead of the game, now just have to finish the blocks to put in them..lol
Drats, all week I've watched the series Saving Grace, ALL 46 episodes and I didn't like the ending..
Betty, those are so pretty!
Crissy I called the Dr. today to try to get an appointment to get some fluid drained off my knee. It swelled up like a frogs belly as the therapist put it to day, and they are closed on Friday! If it continues to swell, I will be visiting the ER! Not something I want to do, but geesh, this knee is getting sore. Don't know why it is swelling? But know I will be there first thing Monday morning!
Those are pretty Betty!!!
Oh dear, sometimes when you have surgery your body tries to protect itself by making a fluid pocket and they have to drain that. I know a gal who had to have her miniscus replaced and she had to have her knee drained once a week for 3 months.
Here you go Everyone!!

Take a looooooook!
https://picasaweb.google.com/christinepix/MayAtMyHouse#
Crissy, your gardens are looking good! But please tell me what that bug is?
That is absolutely not good news LindaKay..how frustrated you must be..maybe if you head out to ER not only will the look at your knee but they just might check out the fingers!been quite awhile since you've been able to live your normal life
Crissy, love the gardens, now you get to see the fruit of your labor!
Holly, think that's what I did learn the most after roger's death ..don't sweat the small stuff!...how I yearned to have his socks left on the bedroom floor, or dishes in the zinc..all the things that once mattered to me, what I'd have given to clean and pick them up..you learn to have a whole new perspective
Dianne, hope you were able to rest today and that your headache is no longer..
My thoughts have been with Shirley all day..message on the telephone system when I got home, hated to listen to it just incase it was Ann with bad news
Planted the hops when I got home, slight drizzle then came in, had my bath and already in my jammies
