Susan, your church outing doing the Crucifixion sounds like something all churches should do..know they do the birth of Christ here but don't ever recall the Crucifixion..bet it was awesome to take part in it...
Kris, don't sell the things you enjoy, you should have been here this morning and purchased 20 - 6' cedars and plant them creating a green privacy fence..
my neighbors are wonderful to the left of me, never see them although she says she loves to garden, her gardening must be inside but they have a link fence which has fallen every winter since I've been here, I try to lift and plant vines so it's hidden but like you wouldn't mind putting up a proper fence...gee whiz..sure wish your extra lot was on the other side of your property..can the municipality not do something about this??
Loved the photo, surely that's not a flower from this year is it, could it be imitation..lol..no imitation for you I'm sure.
As always Judy you are wired for sound and yes, tell Steve my house comes first and he doesn't even have to bring tools, I'm sure I have all he needs...now which Joyce????? are you doing flowers for (for daughters' wedding)..have they seen them?
Sharon just called, wanted to check up on me, she's working at Pallative care tonight and tomorrow..I'm amazed for someone who had such depression how well she's adapted for donating her time to them, takes it seriously..
As the for quilt blocksJudy, not unhappy with them it's just one of them was undersize and I spent probably as much time when I was ill trying to sew it than I have for the 4 blocks I've done today..I'm sure you've been there..some days just aren't sewing days..
Got another done...
Brrr starting to get cold down here, should go turn up the heat..
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?Chat with friends!
Betty - it was a simple ceremony during the church service, but very moving all the same. I don't believe in ceremonies involving Christ should be elaborate - he was a simple servant of the people, and the son of God. I'm sure wouldn't have appreciated over-doing things - more important I believe to be like him, a servant of the people.
The part of the ceremony that really raised the hackles on my neck was the pounding of the hammer (it was done at the back of the church) and with every strike I felt chills.......
Looking forward to the sunrise service @ 6am tomorrow.
Yikes, Susan I would not have like that either,,just the thought brings chills here as well.love it when it's the younger generation that participates..
Glad you are finally getting nice weather, it's been a long time coming for you and yes, won't be long you'll be camping..
Just looked at the clock, guess the decision to go out was made..too late now..
Think I'll clean the sewing area and call it a night..think I've done pretty good today, didn't overwork just played quietly!
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ SUSAN }}}}}}}}}}}}} Ohh, Sorry I gogot you,,,sigh. Extra big huggs!!
I would have loved to have been at your plant salke Betty!! hee hee,, cause it means I would have had access to you and your craft room!!
And no they will not do anything about my neighbors u;less I can get them on film or voice record!! I will just keep wearing my Zune cranked up so I cannot hear thier awful remarjks,, They NEVER say a word when DH or DB is with me,, But I cannot garden only to thier scheduals!! sigh.. I would love to plant a row of big cedars, I have been looking at Leland cypress for awhile now, and have thought asbout ordering them. But would need approximately 60 plants to fully block them out and that would take years if I got them at a size I can afford,,,, 60 12 inch tall plants @ 5.00 = $300.00 Plus for some reason every thing I plant near thier fences turns brown and dies????
Sad huh???
You will just have to keep an eye out for 5 or 6 rooters, buy a few at a time and don't put them right on property line, bring them in closer to your side so that if they do come over to help kill the trees you'll likely see them..terrible!
Yes, you can play in my craft room providing you help me finish the window piece that I need to finish...lol. One day I'll come and play in your stained glass shop..
Kris, I wish I could give you a hug. I have neighbors like that....and between all the sadness they cause....I have heard they "wish they could have a pretty garden like that." SO, perhaps they are jealous of your ability to create such art in your yard? I too would love an 8 foot fence down that side. Hang in there
Waving to all....will be back in a bit, busy with dinner
and....I did a Betty.
Brought up a pizza for lunch, and decided to "dec it up" so used chopped tomato on top, mushrooms, extra cheese.....and popped it in in the oven. And then....the timer went off for me to check.
Lifted up the edget o check the bottom....and there was the cardboard baked to the bottom of the pizza. That is SO my mother. lol
Shirley & Tubby....hugs for you both, so many potholes in this road of life. His mother is a pot hole...don't let her swallow you whole or throw you out of alignment.
Bev, how about an update love? Any lillies blooming?
Be back before the smoke alarm goes of....again.
Debbie
So laughing Debbie, exactly what happened yesterday, threw the sterofoam tray away, but the whit pad they put under the meat, well, just didn't see it...ohhhh you are indeed learning to cook like me and your mom..
Watching a movie called Midnight Bayou, done in New Orleans..great story line..Jerry O'Connell is playing an excellent part.
If I happened to show up on your door step crying, would you care?
If I called you and asked you to pick me up because something happened, would you come?
If I had one day left to live my life, would you be part of that last day?
If I needed a shoulder to cry on, would you give me yours?
Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?
They blink together,
they move together,
they cry together,
they see things together and they sleep together,
but they never see each other;
....that's what friendship is..
Your aspiration is your motivation, your
motivation is your belief,
your belief is your peace,
your peace is your target,
your target is heaven, and life is like hard core torture without it!
Yikes, never saw a sky the color it is tonight!! Should go check to see if a severe storm is coming!
Well it's almost 8 and his Mom just went down to take a shower and wash her hair. She needs a perm, but this bad person isn't the one that's gonna volunteer. The family can take her some place. I don't get to Omaha to get the supplies I need and I'm not using what I have on her. The siblings were out this morning for an hour. They got ready to leave and asked her if she was going with them, she said no, that the girls were coming tomorrow. Oh happy day. I thought that I made her mad enough last night that she would go, but not. Tubby has been in bed since 2 sleeping off and on. I told her that he was asleep and she goes over and leans over him and ask him if he's awake. Now if someone was asleep and you talked directly into their ear what do you expect except for them to reply. It's ring the neck time. LOL I talked to the oldest girl in Omaha this afternoon and said how unhappy I was not to have my privacy and living with someone like that 24/7 is absolutely no fun. I let her know that I frankly don't care what any of them and that includes them of me. My only concern was their Dad. They are coming tomorrow, but now we are only having cold sandwiches and potato salad. The daughter felt guilty of make a big dinner and Tubby not eating. It never bothered them before. I knew they didn't want to cook as I told them they would have to bring the ham as I didn't have one. I made the potato salad and deviled eggs early this morning. I did tell her I wasn't making any desert as I won't eat it and don't need it, so if they want something they will have to bring it. They won't. I just laughed to myself. They love to have someone else do all the cooking, I sort of spoiled them, my fault. Whenever they'd have a party they always call and give me the menu to see what I can make and bring, the majority most the time and then they say you shouldn't have. Right! Oh well another day!
I did get the chicken feed unloaded and them fed and the dog food unloaded and brought in the buckets of food for them in the house I need. That's a big job done and I don't have to worry for awhile. The neighbor gal came down for a little visit, she is picking up the groceries I didn't get and will drop them off later tonight yet. She is a sweetie. She's like 45 and never been married, has a boyfriend (not the brightest on the block), but he is nice. She'll probably never marry as she would never want to loose her farm or share it with someone if things didn't work out. She really watches her peas and ques. It was where she was born and raised and it provides her with a nice income, besides that she works full time.
It is suppose to be fairly decent here tomorrow so maybe the Easter bunny can deliver all those eggs without rain. We are to get rain tomorrow night and all day Monday and then nicer weather for later in the week. We'll see if they know what they are talking about. Just remember the old saying " If it rains on Easter Sunday it rains for seven Sundays following" Hope the sun shines like crazy for everyone.
Kris you are too funny and tell DH thanks for wanting to come to the rescue. I'll be fine. I really have my gander up now so they will have to watch it as I won't shut up the next time. I'm sorry to hear that you have terrible neighbors like that. I too would want a fence up and probably to the sky. I never did understand what people get out of being like that. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'll pray that they lose their voices. LOL Can you call the plice and have them talk to them or will it make it worse. I definately call and let them know about the threat. Please do be careful when you are out there working and make sure that your big guy is there with you.
Crissy love the ATV. I really like ours and use it alot. We have a three wheeler besides the big four wheeler. It's a must on three acres of land. I would be at a loss without it. I have a cart I pull behind to haul stuff in. The 4 wheeler is green but not camouflage. Let race sometime?
Prayers for everyone and sorry I did not touch on everything. I will try to do better, but just know I think of you all the time and wish wellness to all. Holly you get better. Pneumonia is a terrible thing to come down with, so am glad to hear you got some antibiotics before it goes that far. Besides this is a lousy time of the year to have a cold.
Good night and a Happy Easter to everyone. Love you all!
Shirley & Tubby
(((((((((Shirley & Tubby)))))))))) Bless you, and please tell Tubby we think of him always ^_^
Happy Easter Everyone.
And special Easter blessings on Tubby, Mike and Scotty. Extra extra blessings on those who care for them...
Hello To All !
Wow - Am I up late ?!!! Betty - I'm looking forward to wearing my new earrings and pendant tomorrow... they both totally match my outfit better than anything I could possibly have bought... I'll try to get a pic to show you !
Cedars - so glad you got some ! I think I got one from the RU from Elf...need to plant the tree's asap ! re: the "Steps" reminds me of trying to 'parent' the step daughters ... even when their Mom & Dad woudl not... that's just a losing proposition isn't it ! LOL
Shirley... ((HUGS))) Potato salad and deviled eggs are NOT easy in my book... They should be happy to have that... I've never heard the saying about raining on Easter... so glad we have sunshine predicted tomorrow... Tell Tubby it's about time he had a shave !
Would the hospice folks not come and bathe him? they might send a guy... would he be more comfortable then? Oh geez I'm sure you've thought of everything I just wish I coudl think of something to suggest somehow that would help.....
Hospice was really good to me with my Mom... I couldn't believe that they would send someone to just talk to me... when Mom was from another State. I couldn't even get Home health here because she was from a different state but recovering here .....so had to learn to do a feeding tube on my own. Sadly... since she was a nurse she actually taught me herself....
Holly hope you feel better... good for you for nipping it in the 'bud'. When is your vacation planned for ?
Crissy - Happy Anniversary ! (HUGS) which one is it !? Congrats on the 4 wheeler... and I'm a scaredy cat too... so funny about the 'standard'. Dad made me learn to drive a standard to get my license but I could not drive one now... however I would BET that YOU can... with your love of old cars.....
Dianne... Cauliflower salad sounds delicious ! I'll bet that's aggravating with a strange dog... it sounds like ya'll have a bunch of land and live out in the country....so would think folks would keep their dogs on their own property...funny how dogs are so territorial... Belle sounds so rough and tough when folks are walking dogs in our front yard...
Oops brb...
Oh Back ! Judy - Ya'll like the show "Survivor" ? I love hearing when ya'll watch Television because it helps me with my job... to know what shows are popular and all... How is your teen Easter? Do you still do baskets/candy? I bought the teens umbrellas, beach towels and we got Easter candy....
Susan (HUGS) love the thought of the re-enactment...and the hammering would really pain me... I just can't stand the thought of suffering... it just hurts me too... Hope you have a wonderful Easter !
Hey ELf ! ((HUGS)) Wow - can't believe I made any impression on Goober ! She really is a special gal ... ((HUGS)) for her as well... Have you planted any of 'ours' yet? Your Hosta's seem to be doing well... We got our Brugs planted today...although may move them eventually... OMG>.. Elf - the Pond Plants are REALLY taking off ! Wonderful ! Just FYI... the "SeedFolks" book that is mentioned above... I sent to Betty and she wants to send to Laura or Holly... THAT"S the same book that you have... If you get Goober to read it to you... she may enjoy re-enacting out the parts of the different people who represent each chapter.... I would think she would be a wonderful actress ! Agree with the folks... to plant a row of Cypress.... Hubby says they 'drink' water so wondering if that might help your 'bog' problem as well ?
Deb... FUNNY About the pizza ! ((HUGS)) gal... yes - neighbors can be a pain....
When Mom passed and I took her dogs in... our neighbors complained about their barking. Well what was I to do? The wife of the neighbor was the problem. We ran into her years later and I felt like saying "Weren't you so happy when my Mom's dogs died ?" It was horrible... they all were given away or died within a year... but I was so devastated... that was a HORRIBLE year... I did not know what to do...
My Project as of late was enlisting the MIL to go with me and DSD's and get dresses for my Niece's upcoming wedding... My MIL is a SUPER Shopper... she is really fantastic... PLUS she has a wonderful way with the DSD's.....
We took oldest DSD on Thursday and had a great experience... her dress looks like that scene in "Pretty Woman" where they are at the horse races... great dress. We took DSD 2 today. Best dress found was not in her size... but bought dress #2... we'll look online for the other dress..... Just so glad to get these out of the way.... "Marked" off the list... and with MIL with me... I didn't have to 'worry' about any of the choices made LOL........
Easter tomorrow at her house... I made Green Bean Casserole and Seven layer Greek dip... we'll bring my
Easter Bunny Costume LOL... Just got it back... had loaned it out for the last 5 years... but wanted it back for my niece's 2 year old....
Ya'll have a VERY HAppy Easter !
HUGS,
Mary
Happy Easter!
Elf I have a row of Leland Cyprus. Mine were just 12 inches when I ordered them on line several years ago. They do get very big and they grow very fast. We have nice neighbors but I wanted to block the lights and noise that comes from their garage. He drives truck and they work on race cars so he comes in at all hours and works in the garage. Also There house sits back farther than ours so they can look right into our backyard and with the pool and hot tub it would be nice having our privacy back. I wanted something good sized but didn't want to spend the $$ so I kept waiting thinking I would get them next year. Finally I bought the small Lelands and quite often think if I had gotten them in the first place they would have several more years growth on them. Do you think your neighbors would spray something like weed killer on them or do you think they may have in the past and that's why your plants haven't grown in the past?
Shirley, With luck your visitors will head out today after the Easter meal.
Sad to say I am still not feeling well. Another night of sweats and chills fever came back last evening. I really don't think I will go to the family diner at my daughters house. Just too much effort.
Here is my Leland hedge, I think it might be 5 years old now.
Morning everyone!
Shirley, you sounds like your in the same spot I was, when I was going through a bad marriage. You can only be shoved in the corner so far, and then you will come out fighting mad. Just tell them plain and simple your not welcome here, and don't worry about hurting anyones feeling, as they are not concerned about you or Tubby!
Happy Easter everyone!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
I;m sitting here having coffee so if anyone's awake come on over. Tubby is in recliner having Pepsi, we have plenty of that also. We sure hope everyone has a beautiful day and finds plenty of eggs when they go hunting for them. I pray for sunshine for all. A day of rest from the miserable weather some places are having would be wonderful.
Mary the green bean casserole sounds good. There's not alot of people that doesn't like it.The 7 layer Greek dip sounds interesting. What's all in it and what do you use to dip it with? That would be alot of fun to have a costume, the niece should enjoy.
Susan I agree, the re-enactment sounds great, but I'm not sure about the hammering, but I'm sure to get the right affect they want, they had to do it. Yes, you mainly hear of the birth of Christ productions, but not the crucifixion. How interesting as I never really thought about it. I'm glad you got to partake in the production.
Crissy I'm sorry to say belated Happy Anniversary!
Okay sorry, I got side tracked and went and did a few things and now it's 3hrs later then when I started this. The coffee is still on, but will gladly make a fresh pot for those who show up. Everyone please have a wonderful day and ladies I know you are all beautiful in those new Easter outfits with hat and gloves in hand. The Easter bunny will stand at attention as you walk by. I remember how beautiful we thought we were growing up when that was important for Easter, a new dress or shoes and maybe gloves to go with it for church. A lot of fond memories.
We want to send our Love and Prayers to all today while you spend your day with family and friends. May God Bless and keep you in his arms and bless you with His Love!
Have a bright sun shiny day!
Tubby & Shirley
Holly that a beautiful hedge of trees. I've not heard of Leland Cypress, but will check into it. They grow faster that reg. pine trees apparently. I would like to put some out in the grove north of the house to help in the winter.
Kris I have a feeling that no matter what you plant in that lot your neighbors are killing it at night or during the day when you aren't around. I'm afraid until you get a fence that's tall enough and encloses that area you won't be safe. We have some old fencing you could have. It's very weathered and I don't know how many pieces there are, will have to check. How long is the lot and how much do you need? Guess what you'd have to come and get it though.
I will go out when I get a chance and see what is all out there and report to ya. Trust me when I say, they will get their just reward in the end.
Betty those are some beautiful blocks. The ones that didn't turn out right for the swap could be mounted in a frame as a piece of art for the wall. I'd make you a frame out of old wood for it. Just let me know what size the inside of the frame needs to be.
LK that was a beautiful plaque with the with the story of Christ. Is it one you have or did you find it on line?
The sun is out brightly here and I've already decided it is going to be a great day no matter what happens. The birds were chirping before daylight and that was my sign. I'll probably have to go pick up the dog residue in the back yard before they do an Easter egg hunt. I'd hate to have them step into something.
BBL
Shirley
Good morning everyone, surprise, surprise sun is shinning..maybe later this morning I'll get to play out in the gardens, well at least walk them and see what's coming up! Can you hear all the birdies sing??
Kris, is the photo of the mini garden of your garden, it's adorable..know a few years ado I had. Your name in a swap, Debbie, think it was on our trip that we found mini elfs that I sent you..perhaps I'll see one in your gardens, must go look
Mary you'll be pleased that you have the purchase off the dresses behind you now..teens can be so picky..wonderful that you have a good relationship with MIL..I never did and the when Roger passed on it became unbearable so cherish your time with her...glad you'll be able to wear the bobbles ... What date is the wedding and graduation..busy time coming up! On the bright side you get to Florida..any mother son trip this year?
Shirley I'd give her a perm all right, me bad, I'd leave it in the rods till her hair fell out then shed have to go home to have it checked out...Lord forgive me
Been taking the winter covering off back deck,2 sides left to do, getting ever so smart. Do something then rest, do another bit and rest..there goes my day though
Did any of you find your Easter eggs..
Darts, devils at work, my Joel Olsteen show no longer is televised at 9:30 in the a.m. ..just went in search and found Joyce meyer and Joel on at 9pm so mist somehow stay awake..
holly, you must be heartbroken not to be able to attend the family dinner but you have to look after you.. Will Ric go and bring you back a care package?
Never heard of Leland cypress but will call the nursery to see if they have them or can get them, would be the answer to my lot line needs.
not sure they grow here but will check it out!
LindaKay, loved the obituary!! I'm much like you, I will take it and take it and then blow my stack..only good thing about it is I bend over backwards because I feel badly afterwards but do get it off my chest.
Are you worried about tomorrow? How are the fingers?
Shirley, do have a quilt block framed like that, sitting in spare room..it's pretty..sure wish I lived closer because it sounds as though the pickings would be awesome..my kind of treasures...
Shirley, that is one I got in an email, and just posted it here!
Betty, not worried about tomorrow, looking forward to it, to get that cyst off my knee! Fingers are the same. Looking forward to getting an answer on those also!
Shirley, if I was closer I would love to come for that coffee, and share a pepsi with Tubby, Tell him to have a nice cool sip for me please!
Morning,,
I am positive they spray on my plants. Her husband also ripped apart 2 climbing vines I had growing on the fence, I donot know if I showed anyone here pictures of when we built the bog/lotus pond area over there next to thier fence. But it was beautiful and then one day I went out and all my EE's were dying, and the grass was all brown and withered all around the area, vines were ripped out off the ground, and even a pampas grass was dying!! There was no way it happened naturally. I know her crazy husband did it. But since I cannot prove it, there i9s nothing I can do.
That is why were moved the bog garden last year and this year have moved the lotus pond. I am working on replacing all the ee's that died. I guess I should be happy that he did not destroy the lotus, guess he did not know how to do it. sigh.
Shirley, wonder if we could make that trip,, It is a very long way from Alabama though and I think the cost of the trip would be almost as much as the cost of the new fence,, but would be worth it just to meet you and our dear Tubby..
I have never been to Nebraska, and would love to visit. Ralph was saying the other day when he was talking about kicking booty out there for you that he would be glad to work on the farm for you!!. If he was retired we would load ourselves up and come and stay a month or two and get all your projects done with you!!. He is such a sweety!!
Holly>>>Love the picture of your Leland Cypress. I will have to rethink it though. I absolutely cannot wait 5 years to block off those people!! I do have an idea though. On craigslist here there is a company offering all the free pallets you can take. I was thinking, maybe I could just get them, buy the 4x4's to support them and then make my own fence from them??? I could paint the side that faces their yard with several cans of ooops paint from HD that I have, who cares if the color is ugly!!! I will stain my side a nice redwood color!! This may be my solution. What does everyone think????
Here is a pic of the bog/lotus garden in September of 2009
Lovely area Kris...laughing here, it's Easter and I'm saying give her the perm of her life and you are saying you'll paint the pallets ugly colors..lol quite the pair, Lord is going to get us...
Watching 10 commandments, perhaps that will put me into a better female of mind! Lol
Jeff just called to wish me a happy Easter..phone rang a few times.he said he wondered where I was, out taking rest of covering off back shed, he asked why as it's usually on Mothers Day 'to do' list
Told him that list is all but done...
Ok, I decided to do a search on the web to see if it was possible to do the pallet fence. Lok at what I found!!
You need to slowly scroll down to read all the great ideas and look at the pictures. I also found someone on our local craigslist who is giving away 100's of free pallets. So I am going to have Ralph start picking them up every day on the way top work. He figures we can load 6 pallets at a time on his small truck.I will only have to pay for the screws and will be checking the freescycles here to try to get the 4x4s or what ever else I can sue for this. This way I can get the fence built for under $300.00!! And the fences look nice too. So I will not be in trouble with the man upstairs...heehee,,,,, I figure we can get the whole thing done by this fall or Christmas,, whicjh is still a lonnnnnnng time but sooner than the 5 to 10 years of waiting for the cypress to get tall enough to hide the neighbors from me!!!
Omg Kris that is adorable, can see vines, morning glories and other climbers on them..even with nothing they amazing as a fence!
And too boot, free except for 4x4's
Still working on back deck, got some burning to so now that the heavy plastic is gone..omg so much brighter..
The big glass window panel that hangs needs some repair so next weekend I'll get it done to the boys can hang it on mothers day..just knew I'd be able to get a to do list together!
Can hear the wheels in that brain of yours turning now..lol
Might go and clean up me sewing ares..with the block I sent out a few weeks ago I'm half done so that is exciting!
Have about 3 more hours then it' over to Greg's
HAPPY EASTER!!!!
Kris every time those nasty neighbors said anything snide to me I'd be calling the cops and filing harassment charges, after a few harassment charges and they would stop, guaranteed. That is 100% harassment, you know. Our tax dollars pay the cops wages, I'd be putting my precious money to use!
I had neighbors in an apartment who were like that who tried to file a harassment charge on me for cleaning my carpets at 2pm, which they couldn't do because there's nothing illegal with carpet cleaning on a Saturday at 2pm, then they called again to file harassment charges because I climbed the stairs too loudly. HA! Let me tell you what, when they started vacuuming their carpet and banging the vacuum against the wall that connects the bedrooms at 3am their asses were grass and I was a lawnmower, it was illegal to vacuum floors at 3am in an apartment and from then on out every little thing they did I called the cops. After 4 of those 4 days in a row they were given an eviction notice. Of course with CA laws it takes 6 months to kick someone out but they got so fed up with the cops knocking at their door every day they moved. By the time they left they had 6 harassment charges against them. Guess they didn't understand when I told them that I am a cops daughter and knew the whole City of Modesto's police force. LOL!
Thanks for the Anniversary wishes!!! I don't care if they're late, I have the anniversary that keeps on giving!
Mary this was our 5th Anniversary. LOLLLL!!! Girl my new Corolla is a stick shift, had to order it because no one here will drive one anymore. I've heard this from about ten 20-30 year olds, "It's too much work." WHA???????? I think we should make every car with a 3 on the tree with no power steering or brakes and make all of the lazy 20 year olds drive them, then listen to them complain about the current stick shifts being too much work, talk about not having a clue! Sheesh!!
OH!! And by the way, all of the old cars, except for one, that I drove and drag raced were all automatics, some had nitrus. That one that was a stick was a 1965 Chevy 10 truck, no power steering, no power brakes, and a 3 on the Tree.
Betty that's a bum about them moving your show to 9pm! Maybe it's just for day because it's Easter???? We watched 10 Commandments last night.
Well we went on a 3 hour 4-wheeler ride with our neighbors, OMG my arms hurt!!! Dave was so proud of me, that was my first time 4-wheeling in some serious 4-wheeler situations and I just kept going, he said that I did better than he was ever expecting me to. Guess I'm comfortable with anything with an engine and a gas pedal LOL!!
I'm going to get off of this for now and see what my dearest hubby is doing. Have a great day everyone!!!
Elf, We used pallets for a lot of projects. Ric would bring them home from work. We lined stalls with them and stood them up to make fence and as dividers for my compost pile. I never stacked them up to make them taller though. There are two types of pallets so depending on which one you get they might be built differently. They are the same size just put together differently. I saw a room that was paneled with wood from pallets and stained. It was very nice looking. When we did our fence we just pounded metal fence stakes in the ground and put the pallet over them to hold them up. Worked very well but for your higher fence you will need something more substantial. Terrible when you have neighbors like that. Your bog garden is lovely.
Kris, there are some posts somewhere??? maybe trash to treasure, on how to build a garden in a standing pallet...they look great!! If you are doing a pallet fence anyway???!!!!
sorry I can't remember exactly where it was...maybe if you google it you will find some info...
