Well, I'm late getting home, been hearing a whyning for the past month or so from the front right side of the car, I was told likely the snow tires, get them off and problem solved..ok

Got 4 new all season tires put on last Saturday, still got the noise, was told new tires might do that. Ok

So tonight on my way home I stopped at Bernie's. (db) and he took tire off..bearing..then need brakes, also time for oil change so he said he'd do it for me next week, with the holiday can't order parts but Monday he will...will be a savings him doing it even with paying him something for his troubles although I know he'll say NO..don't want to feel like a leach ad want to pay my way!!

LindaKay, bought some pretty fabric for my potholder swap...love it, should really have bought some for ME..lol. Am sure colors and pattern will fill the bill that my swap partner had listed..will take a photo later..

Right now, kraft dinner is cooking, got my bath run and won't be a late night, rather get up extra early to play, just like this morning, got the three panels of socks done up..

Dr. called today and ask how mu fingers were doing, and I told her sore as you know what, so she said she will do a CT scan, while she is removing the cyst in my knee Monday! Sure hope they can figure out what is wrong, and soon! Ice helps, but it is not taking the swelling down, nor it is helping the throbbing pain!

Thank goodness LindaKay that the will do further tests, should have done so long before now ...cyst, ouch, that's worrysome...do hope they get you on the mend..hasn't been great for you since your trip.

Judy, those are so beautiful!! You have an awesome eye for placement and coloring. Very nice! And the bathroom just looks so warm and inviting. Do I know this handyman? LOL

Linda, when you lay down, put your hand on some pillows across your chest and see if that helps. I used a bag of frozen peas or corn also...really helps for "ice pack". Praying for some pain relief for you!

Betty, get some rest. Sounds like a PJ and tv night with your craft dinner.

I went out today...let SHane drive, he has been a HUGE help this week. We went grocery shopping and picked up Easter dinner supplies. Spiral sugar glazed ham, sweet potatoes, greenbean cassarole, sweet corn, deviled eggs, regular mashed taters (with gravy) ...applesauce....and also carrot cake for dessert. Dinner rolls also.

Breakfast is a big thing also with the family made polish sausage, eggs, sweet rolls and such.

I didn't get a nap in and am dragging. But will be back!

You've had quite a day Debbie..does Shane have his full permit? Do you work on a progressive driving system? Pretty soon you will be able to hand him the keys, a list of errands and sit with your feet up being a lady of leisure!

Life is almost perfect here tonight except the headache..did too much today?

Betty he has had his full permit since he was 16....and he is 18 now. BUT the sad thing is...we can not afford the car insurance once he gets his license. It goes up $150 per month was the first quote we had and that was a year ago. SO, right now with everything going on in the house...we just can't handle that.

We have to do something though as he will really need it come Sept. when he goes to college. He is working and trying to put money away, but has also been helping us out here and there with some expenses. He has a school band trip to Boston in 3 weeks coming and is paying for that also.

nice to see Debbie that he is so responsible for someone so young! I assume you haven't heard anything more on the house?

No Betty, We sent the required forms in last Friday, faxed them over so they had them the same day of the request, so I am hoping we hear something this coming week.

Sounds fantastic to me Betty. Got up right about the same time as you did. Three rather robust raccoons were having a snack from contents of the mulch pails out on the deck off of the kitchen. Grrrrr!
Dentist appointments went well for both of us, Physiotherapy has been discontinued for my DH until after he sees our GP Apr27. He is in trmendous pain for most of the day and night with Oxycocets given him just snatches of pain relief. This strange orb in the sky followed us home up Hwy # 38 and was still out there most of the afternoon. I'll be darned after a second look it was the sun! Whooo hooo!
Shirley I hope both you and Tubby got some sleep last night, Where you able to get some more pain patches? I sure hope so....... Holding you both close to my heart!

Lol at your orb! Looking as I lay looking outside at the 'sundog' circling the moon, usually means a storm in a few days..hmmm so quiet out there..even Missy is sitting at the window looking out...no sounds, even birdies aren't chirping yet, oops here they go!

I've managed to play scrabble ( computer cheats ) solitaire, answer e mails while watching Bones and House and it's only 5:30am. Lol

Guess Dianne they want to postpone giving dh more treatments just invade they do further damage to him, not good news though that he's in so much pain. Shucks, had I started out when I first woke up I'd be at your place having coffee shortly. Hope you don't have too much of a mess after your early morning visitors...don't see many raccoons in my neck of the woods...skunks though

Well I got up a little before 3 with Tubby. He is still in bed watching TV. I'm sitting in the dark reading and having coffee. Thanks Betty. Yes we did new pain patches and they are helping with that problem. All of his siblings were out here yesterday and apparently are coming back today. They are doing this more for spite than concern. That would be bossy sis's idea. I won't react. His Mom gets things so screwed up when she talks to them. She never repeats things right, so things get blown out of proportion. I decided I just won't say anything that she can repeat that I know she doesn't understand.
That is just a small part of what I have to deal with daily. I was writing out thank you notes yesterday and she wanted to know who I was writing to if it was DG girls. I told her no that it was some notes I owed people. She watches like a hawk and says she doesn't and need to know everything and says she won't listen to my conversations. RIGHT! I just tell people I'll call them later at my convenience. I now send them a note in the mail and tell them that it's just to hard to visit. Drives me crazy and it doesn't take alot. I hate it that my house is not my own.

LK I'm so sorry to hear of the problems you are having with your fingers. I sure hope the CT shows something and they can get it right soon. Did the hotel company send you any forms you had to fill out? I think they should compensate for all this, not just paying the bills. I'll continue to say prayers for you for a healing miracle.

No Betty, Tubby had this place a few years before I met him. I will stay here after he is gone. I love the place even if it's not done and being away from people in town. It has it's draw backs, but that's with anyplace. Home is where your heart is and mine is here. I went to get Tubby up a few minutes ago and he had a spell. I had to quickly lay him back down. I could see the fear in his eyes. I won't be telling any of the family as then there are a million questions and the need to know is applying now. He is better now and I would have call the squad if he had went unresponsive. Thank God he is okay now.

LindaKay, we crossed posted, mom is hoping and yet not about going home..with hardwood floors she's frightened shell fall..have a bed in living room so she doesn't have to go upstairs and only one step to washroom and kitchen so if careful she should be ok..told me to think about where we could go for 3 or 4 days ..knows she'll be ok by June/July...

Fingers are still swollen. The ice is bringing it down, but just a bit!
Yes the cyst causes pain, when I bend my knee. I call it an eyeball, cause that is what it feels like when I rub my knee, it moves around, and it is pretty sore. So I will be glad when it gone.
No family here this week-end, It will be nice and quiet. I may still get a ham, not for sure yet?
Have you decided what your doing for Easter? Are you cooking?

Sorry to hear it's causing you pain as well..when you were last out of town for you check up, did they find it then? wonder why they wait so long..ouch, poor fingers..do you find you are banging them all the time?

My intent before dropping into my brothers yesterday was to do groceries..everything is closed so if I do decide will have to do it soon so I can purchase groceries needed before Sunday..I have luck with frozen stuffed turkey, that would be the easiest, just plop it in the oven and voila..it's done so might buy one just incase..Jeff and boys won't be coming but Greg/Mel and the boys usually do, not sure of their plans, guess I should call..

Keep looking at the material I bought yesterday to cut up for those pot holders and I so far haven't been able to bring the scissors close to the fabric..just too pretty don't you think LindaKay

Last year I step up on a curb, and twisted my knee, and tore my knee cap loose. I had to have surgery to repair that, and after it healed, I noticed the cyst then. I told my Dr about it, and she said we will keep an eye on it! Well, it never went away, so she is going to remove it Monday!

OMG! That is beautiful! Maybe you can make one BIG potholder! Maybe make table runner to go with it?

Yes LK Tubby got your card and gift. There is a thank you in the mail. He got such a chuckle out of it. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. I want to thank you also for the print out. I'm gonna play on the computer and try to style it onto one sheet so it can be displayed along side of his picture I will use a the memorial service. If it comes out I will post a picture of it when the time comes. Thanks for your help.

Dishes are done and I will dust and sweep the floors yet. I'd love to vacuum but Tubby can't stand listening to the noise so that will wait. I'll sweep the steps down with a hand broom instead. The dogs don't care and they will just keep dropping hair and bringing in dirt. I'll make it as presentable as possible.

If Tubby takes a long nap, I will go out and unload chicken feed and the dog food. I have laundry to do also.

Betty. how big is the fabric your showing? You could cut the grapes and wine bottle out of the left corner?
Something like this, then maybe just put strips around it like a log cabin style block?

Betty the print with the wine bottle could almost be made as a picture as to cut it or yes a table runner. Those are some beautiful prints. I'm sure they will all be great when done.

LK are they going to give you a general anesthesia or just a local to remove the cyst? Will you have to be in the hospital over night or stay longer or as an Outpatient and get to go home the same day? Hopefully the cyst will be nothing and you can go home the same day. We'll be saying prayers for you my dear.

Prayers for Bev & Scotty and Ann & Mike, I think of them all so often throughout the day. God be with them.

Not for sure what type of knock out drugs they will give me? But it is a same day procedure, so that means I will get to go home the same day! ^_^

Is the proceedure being done in your home town LindaKay or will you have to travel and spend the night or have the long journey home..mom had a spinal, she said it was easier re after effects... you'll be in our thoughts and prayers for sure...

Just got a call from DIL, seems that she would like to cook Easter Dinner and if I want I can bring pies.... so tomorrow will do a bit of baking..also likes my turnip sooo now I know what to do!

Tomorrow night Suzanne is having Easter and invited to her home as well..just might make the effort as I know she loves company..

If I can't come up with ideas Shirley as to how to cut that material and make it into pot holders just might have to go in search of more material..

Who knows, if mom s home, I might take a trip early moning to see her and on my way back drop into Cookstown and purchase other material..am sure at some time in the future there will be a placemat swap right?

I won't have a spinal ever! Everyone I know that has had them has had bad backaches for years after. I have enough back problems, I don't need that on top of it!

Dianne, is there any way your DH can be seen sooner regarding this pain? Waiting for weeks just seems so hard. Glad your dentist appts went well.
Betty, have you been checking your blood pressure regularly? You really need to for a while so you can get the right meds to keep it on an even keel. I love that fabric. And no, I wouldn't cut it either. Pot holders can be made from two fat quarters. I can "see" that fabric on your cafe table!!

I have really been struggling with putting the binding on my pot holders. I get the pad made and quilted just fine but with my eyes the way they are my binding is really bad. Sewn down in places and not in others and very wobbly. I may have to get a friend to put it on for me. I don't want to keep pulling out stitches and cutting the pot holder back a bit. At this rate I'll be sending a 3 inch square!!!! But I'll try one more time.
The sun is shining here so I think I'll take my coffee out on the deck like Linda......

Betty, I am with LK on that fabric...what is the size??? cut the grapes and bottle....then do a strip or two around that ( like log cabin) with remaining piece of fabric. or one with bottle and grapes, one with cheese and apples... how many pieces do you have?? if you wanted to be very generous you could also do a few matching place mats...or small table topper...... although that would very much NOT work in my kitchen...they are beautiful!! put that thinking cap on !!! you can come up with some thing I am sure ^_^

I am working on quilt for my Kyle....hope to get it almost finished today...have just a few more pieces to do to finish the reverse side......then it will be the quilting..... and if I don't get caught up on my swap blocks ...I think I am going to be dis-owned ? maybe banned from the swaps ??? I am behind on every thing.....

I have been stressed out / frazzled and just can't seem to think enough to get much of anything accomplished lately???? driving me crazy and I have not been sleeping well, being tired all the time sure does not put anything good into the equation.... I am trying to just.... keep on keepin' on
